Pigs for eating use are beeing held since about 9000 years by the humans. But is till think this is actually supposed to be a sheep, they just don't have the mold for it ready yet so they put up a white pig on the preliminary thing.

There's no way kingdoms won't be continued. There only was one wave of sets so far, and it will have at least one more. And even if kingdoms will be retired after 2 or 3 years, the castle theme in general will never die as it's one's most successful lines.

To fit the mmv, it would have to be bigger than the buildings in it, for sure. Also, there would be multiple more parts needed, like the wings, and i bet they'd make it functional aswell, so there needs to be some mechanism inside, and not to forget the interior, and also maybe a second, small building next to the mill. So in the end there would for sure be at least as much pieces as MMV has. I really can't wait to see first pictures of this. Too bad we don't have a set number yet, cause that way we could tell for sure if it'll be an exclusive, or a regular set.

It really is hard to not get expectations up high for this set. I really, really hope this will have great design as the mmv, and will not be a more <insert that tiresome argument> set. On the other hand, if it's a "regular" set (still not bad, but less detailed as mmv style sets) that could be the first set of a new civilian subtheme, which would be great. But i doubt that, since we haven't heard anything about other kingdoms set for next year, just about this one set, which makes it high likely that it indeed is a special one-off mmv style release.

That's freaking awesome news! This is the kind os stuff i'm waiting to show up in the castle theme since years. It looks we are really finally getting civilian sets, i can't believe it! Now i only hope the design will be good, but after this year's sets, i'm positive about that. White pigs sound a bit strange to me though...maybe they're actually sheep?

I wouldn't be too sure, that there won't be civilian sets soon. Especially with this new kingdoms line not, cause since it's not so fantasy-ish than the previous one, it offers the opportunity for a civilian theme even more. Remember, the farm theme also was just introduced to city only a few years ago, and i think they know that people want civilian castle sets. I'm almost sure that in a few years, we'll get some.

I really doubt they won't be releasing at least one more wave next year, with the line only beeing 1 year old right now. I think the next wave will be in the summer, so there are no new pictures yet.

1x2 GLOW IN THE DARK tiles? What the...that is just awesome. These are new parts, right? Never saw those before.

not much going on here lately, huh? so now that we've seen lot sof pictures from new sets of 2011, i'm wondering what's with castle 2011. will there only be another wave later in 2011, or why don't we have pictures from new castle sets yet?

Thanks for the heads-up, there seem to be some instruction books missing though, for example there is only book 1 and 3 for hogwarts castle.

well freight trains also drive on the tracks where passenger trains drive, and obviously there are train stations aswell

I was really excited for this earlier today, and the buildings still look awesome from outside, but...the interior is a HUGE letdown. In the black/green building there is almost nothing, and the white building misses a second floor badly.

Yeah, i saw them now. To be honest, i expected a bit more from the interior. But let's wait to discuss that until the pictures are here on the site.

speaking of instructions, i wonder when they will finally put up the instructions for the new sets on lego.com. they're out since weeks it seems, but no sign of instructions there yet.

I WANT THIS AND I WANT IT NOW That's all i can say I was looking forward to this and the hogwarts castle, even though i'm not aharry potter fan at all, and after seeing the review it's even better. that kitchen/dining room is just perfectm i wish the castle sets would also have that amount of detail the HP sets have Unfortunately i won't be able to afford it anytime soon.

ell, it has been designed to be a one-wall thing kinda, it was the same with the little castle-ish thing from skeleton ship attack from castle in 2007, and also with vladek's castle from knight's kingdom, and i'm sure many more sets. it bothers me a bit aswell, but since i'll have it standing with the back against a wall anyway, i'll just fold it up slightly, and it still will look good.

I think a credit card is needed to buy stuff at S@H, and not everyone has a credit card. At least that's how it's around here. That's why i can't buy anything from there too. I wonder why there still are no payment methods like paypal available.
