Way to thank someone for delivering us detailed pictures of a set that just came out or isn't even out at most parts of the world Thanks a lot for the review! Looking forward to the full-set pictures, i hope you also take some with the castle beeing folded up, since the first time i saw it i was wondering how it looks that way. The details and parts in this set are absolutely incredible, i wish the "CASTLE-castles" had that amount of detail in them! I'm not a harry potter fan usually, but i will definitely get this one for my castle collection.

I don't really wanna judge anything as there just is one wave out until now, and we have no glimpse of an idea what the next wave will bring. So i'm gonna pass on juding, and will wait until the next wave comes out.

The main point is, why should we care how it's called or whatever, as long as the sets are good (and most of them are). I couldn't care less why or if a theme changes its name, cause the only important thing are the sets themselves, really.

I've read the whole review carefully now, and one things i don't understand is your issue with the catapult. I mean, yeah, it's just a catapult anyway, and we've had so much catapults in the past that i've lost count of them, BUT actually the catapult should work fine, the new castle uses excactly the same catapult technique, and it shoots just like it is supposed to be. The round brick certainly is not just falling down, it is flying away about half a meter at least, even if i'm not pushing it hard. You must be doing something wrong. :P

No, not at all actually. Forestmen much more represent a "robin hood" group of people. But i'd be happy, if forestmen would make a return in the current line, they'd fit in perfectly.

I don't see the point of this thread. Kingdoms replaced castle, so castle is gone and kingdoms is there. What's the problem?

thanks a lot for the review! last year's calendar already was great, but this one seems even better! by the look of it, there's quite a few mini-sets in it, that i could use as interior for the new castle.

The minifigs in his review aren't the real minifigs that come with the original set, cause the review doesn't feature the original set. Read the description once more... But i believe that there was a flickr folder from someone that took pictures at a toy fair where the original set was shown, and there were high-res pictures in which you could also see the figs.

You haven't even read the introduction of his review, right? great job svelte, at the first look it really looks like the actual, upcoming set! I can't wait till it comes out, usually not a harry potter fan, but that castle is just superb with all those details.

I'm not collecting city sets anymore, but god, i need to get this set! It looks like, with a few mods it can easily be change dinto a medieval bakery as it has a really nice, oldish style.

Can anyone tell me when the wave of these new sets is coming out? It may have been posted already, but 71 pages is a bit much to look through

Well, the chariot is probably one of the worst lego castle vehicles ever, that's why i have still not bought it yet. The older chariots and vehicles are a lot better scaled, but this one is just way out of proportion. There were always some scale issues here and there, but on this one it blows everything.

It seems you have missed the past 10 years, cause in those we had pretty much all elements from LOTR except elves. We had dark, sauron-ish castles in knight's kingdom, we had trolls, dwarves, dragons, and what not. And a castle line is a castle line, i don't see what new or innovative stuff we should get from it, except that i'd wish for more civilian sets. Other than that i don't know what anyone should be bothered about. Castle is castle, that's what it is. Castles and knights. :P Also, what makes you think that people are less into castle now than before? If it wouldn't be selling anymore, it would have been cancelled already.

Yeah, there were a good amout of soldiers in all the films i believe, at least in the first and second ones. There even were some "popular" soldier characters, like the 2 stupid ones that fall on jack's trick in the first movie

I'm not sure if a modern robot arm, no matter which colour, would look good on a fig from PotC.

This is awesome if this is true! And it's very bad for my wallet Ever since the movies came out, i was thinking that if there was alego line, there would be endless possibilities of sets, and now it looks like it's coming to life. Bring it on!

Well, it's still july now. From the past, i think it always ahs been released around october, at least here.

I think it was only on a pretty low numbe rof sets. I got my king's castle a few weeks ago, and the printing was spot-on on all figs.

No, it really does not at all, once you have it and look at it in real live. It's simply stunning. Any why should the dragon knight's colours control the color scheme of the lion knight's castle? It is not their castle

I just said that i THOUGHT that you can't buy them directly in shops, thanks for the head-up that they actually seem to be available at shops. And yeah, i got the 3 ones for free, when i ordered them at that online store.

Why Re-Release? That set only came out last year. As far as i understood that, there is yet another set in that "style" coming out this year. Or was that with the bakery only wishful thinking?
