  1. I haven't got any new slope bricks of that type. I just checked the brick inventory of Haunted House and I was surprised that a different angle was indicated. But according to what you have sad, there is no difference between the new slope brick and the old one. It is quite confusing that different websites indicate different angles, though.
  2. Are 75 degree slope bricks, format 2x2x3, no longer in production? Haunted House comes with similar elements, but they are 73 degree versions. Were the 75 degree bricks not good enough?
  3. Thanks for your review! This is a set that is on my must-have list. Due to its colour scheme, it reminds me so much of good old classic space. Could anyone tell me why this ship is called Benny's spaceship, spaceship, SPACESHIP! ? I haven't seen The Lego Movie. I am constantly asking myself this question.
  4. As an Austrian who often takes the train and is used to seeing that engine I can only say that your replica of the real thing looks absolutely awesome! Especially the curved front/back sections (windscreens) are a real challenge for every LEGO builder, but you did them very well!
  5. After watching the video I can now understand why so many of you are so excited about this set. Indeed, it has lots of nice details and special functions which are quite sophisticated. Furthermore, the designer's happiness seems to spill over and affect many of you... but I am somehow immune to all that. My wallet has nothing against this type of immunity.
  6. I'm quite relieved that it's not a modular! This saves me some money! I am not really interested in this set.
  7. I've just phoned TLC and ordered some bricks.
  8. Today I have bought Fire Brigade 10197. I saw it in the shop window of a toy shop in the capital of my province. It was the only copy they had. Of course it was MISB. It was a bit dear but not as expensive as the MISB copies you can find on eBay and Bricklink! I got it for fewer than 200 euros.
  9. I have wanted some red1x2x3 panels for quite a while and I do not care whether they have hollow or solid studs on top. Such a panel once existed in red with solid, but the element was discontinued. It has never been produced in that colour with hollow studs. I'd love to have some of them for a freight waggon. 10. When did you try to phone them? The following days are public holidays in Austria: Dec. 25th/26th, Jan. 1st. It's also nothing unusual when shops close at noon on Dec. 24th and Dec. 31st. Edit: And Jan. 6th is also a public holiday... just in case you happen to be in Vienna then.
  11. This is an awesome restaurant and I am definitely going to buy one copy of this extraordinary set! However, it is smaller than any of the other modulars. So it seems to be a bit dear.
  12. Wow, what a wonderful ship! I am considering getting it. But why did they not use maersk blue for it?
  13. But if you forget it, you could click on "Forgot Password" and brickshelf might send you your password to your mail account. So there must be a way to change your mail address. Maybe I'll just contact brickshelf directly and ask. Let's see what they have to say about that matter.
  14. Hello everyone! Does anybody know how to change your email address on brickshelf? I've got a new one and it was quite easy to change it here on Eurobricks. Brickshelf seems to be more complicated. Even though you need one to register on Brickshelf, I haven't yet found the symbol on which I have to click to change it. Well, for the time being I have merged my old and new account. So all the mails going to my old account automatically land in the in-box of the new one.
  15. Guy Bri has posted a good idea! You could just show them how much a new/used 9V motor is on Bricklink or eBay! I just hope that pointing out the price of a new/used 9V motor to them won't make them sell yours on eBay!
  16. Congratulations on your promotion! I hope you love this new job!
  17. I've just bought Palace Cinema.
  18. Wow, that's what I call a wonderful, brilliant and detailed replica of a real-life engine! I also love your photoshop work! Looks like an official LEGO set. I think lots of people would succumb to the temptation of buying it had it really been an official set. It seems to be quite heavy since it has two motors on it, or maybe you just want it to pull lots waggons.
  19. Mine has now reached critical mass, but this is mainly due to limit space, a problem others share and have also pointed out. I'm packing away several sets after washing them. I want to get rid of the dust that has gathered on them over the years. I need to do that to have more space for other sets, but most of the sets I buy remain in their boxes anyway. My Maersk Train set, for instance, has never been opened. The same is true of my Town Plan set. I've no idea where to put them, and the track layout for trains uses up a lot of space too. However, I'm glad to say that I've found a niche for the Palace Cinema - I set I'd like to purchase in the near future - ...at least I can put it somewhere as soon as I've packed away a house. According to Brickset, I own more than 72,000 pieces, but it does not count all the pieces I've bought on Bricklink. So I've no idea how big my collection actually is, and I don't want to count all the bricks that didn't come in a set. It'd be a wearisome business. I only know that the room where I have and store my LEGO has become too small. If I didn't know it any better, I'd claim it has shrunk!
  20. These are exciting news! However, I was hoping for a modular train station or post office. But I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of this restaurant!
  21. Whether you're lucky or not highly depends on where you live in Austria. I'm Austrian and from my place to Vienna it'd take me six and a half hours by train. I live in the west of Austria and Vienna is in the east, just at the other end. Apart from that, my visits to Vienna are very rare. Still, I'm happy that there will be an official brand store in my home country soon.
  22. I put most of my LEGO sets back into their boxes and then into big cardboard boxes. They were stored in my parents' basement. Just today I wanted to check one of those boxes and couldn't find most of them. My parents had put them into the shed. I wasn't too happy when I heard that because there have recently been some hot days (37 degrees centigrade), and in the shed it might have been warmer than that. Apart from that, we sometimes get cold air from Russia in winter. It doesn't happen every winter, but it can happen. Then the temperature drops to minus 20 degrees at night. To put it anther way, I am not so fond of my LEGO being stored in a shed. So how robust is LEGO actually? I am quite concerned about my LEGO being in a shed when it can be so cold and hot. And the shed isn't insulated well. Furthermore, in those cardboard boxes there are also train things like a speed regulator and railway tracks. I am not sure how electronic parts might be affected by hot and cold weather.
  23. You're right! Maybe the sticky paint-like substance was already on the plastic bags before they were filled with bricks at the factory. I'm just adding another theory...
  24. The seller said he'd had it in a dark and dry place. As I said, he found it in a shop. I have no idea where the owner of the shop stored it. By the way, I also assume it must be a kind of glue.
