  1. Honestly I think Power Miners will end up selling pretty well. It's definitely kid-oriented. It's got the bright colors, the functionality, the minifig parts, giant drills, a child-friendly storyline, and a different rock monster with each set...
  2. Power Miners are actually growing on me...
  3. It's just the heads that are transparent, but the UFO series had some of the coolest minifigs ever. By the way, Bundalings, the aliens aren't technically from Mars, and LEGO has been anything but picky about it's violence policy lately.
  4. Check out the UFO series.
  5. They might be as good as the 2007 wave, but 2008 Mars Mission is WAY better than this.
  6. Yeah, but the UD Walker's Astros had backpacks.
  7. I never thought LEGO would have the guts to end Bionicle on a darker note.
  8. The first three smaller ones are the worst ones in my opinion...
  9. That airplane has more interesting parts than the chase scene, which to me looks like two LEGO Racers and some uninteresting minifigs. Don't see why people like it so much.
  10. ...Skirmix really isn't that good. His design is boring and the whole idea has been done before. Tuma, on the other hand, looks fantastic.
  11. I'm not at all impressed by the chase set, but that airplane looks GREAT.
  12. I am more excited about Bionicle than I have been in a very, very long time.
  13. I'll forgive "baby-easy" model building if they come out with sets like the Axalara T9 to make up for it.
  14. Trexxen is definitely correct when he says that you can build any number of different things with Bionicle sets... but, it's also true that Bionicle parts are generally less versatile than system parts. I've noticed that in most (good) larger MOCs, smaller parts are used. Though not always. I also agree that the Axalara T9 is awesome.
  15. I like Bionicle because it's an original and visionary spin on robotic action figure toys. I don't like Bionicle because the very reason why it was good, originality, has since dissipated into a flurry of repetitive storyline and incredibly stupid looking models. It makes me sad to think that the very reason why Bionicle was worth paying attention to is now working against it, or at least until LEGO works up the courage to try something new. Also, the horrible writing and pathetic excuse at "lore" isn't doing the line any favors. Until I see something from LEGO that recaptures the mysterious atmosphere, combination of primitive and advanced technology, and the mythical omnipotence of the enemies I will not be interested in this line for anything other than parts. LEGO fell into a pithole that many companies do. They try something new- and it works! Unfortunately, they forget that half of the reason why people noticed their idea is because it was unusual. Now they keep using the same idea over and over again, and the more time passes the harder Bionicle is to distinguish from every other godforsaken toy line out there. Bring me back the Bionicle we all know and love, LEGO.
  16. My personal favorite is that huge Gothica starcruiser.
  17. Makes me miss Adventurers. Excellent review, I haven't seen this set before. :D
  18. Except Mars Mission was actually good?
  19. I'm liking them a little more now, but I won't be a huge collector or anything. I may get the Thunder Drill.
  20. Great attempt at an impossible concept. Probably the best I've seen.
  21. None of those SW sets appeal to me. :/
  22. Real women are not yellow. O:
  23. Holy crap... I am by no means a Castle fan, but you'd have to be braindead not to see how awesome that set is. $100 for 1,600 parts! I might actually wind up GETTING this... after I complete my Mars Mission collection.
  24. Mega Bloks Pokemon?? It's like the line from hell!
