Great looking MOC! And that interior - particularly the ground floor - is really well done.

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
eurotrash replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
This movie and the associated sets are fantastic! It could be the most important thing (to TLG) since the Star Wars license - I mean there's enough interesting stuff in here for everyone.- 2,626 replies

Lego Displays at ToysRUs and other stores
eurotrash replied to DrJB's topic in General LEGO Discussion
They pop up on craigslist from time to time. Not sure if they got diverted from the trash compactor or were legitimate, but on last ones I saw the prices were way too high for me. Target Star Wars Lego Display - $150 (Jefferson City ,Mo ) -
An excellent series of books and a good looking series of MOCs. Thanks for sharing!

Action Themes Halloween: My Entries Recap
eurotrash replied to totohs's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
It does seem quite redundant and a bit self-promoting.... but then again I'm cranky and hungover from last night. -
It took me a second or two to recognize the scale you've used for these (even though I read microscale in the description - doh!). These are excellent! I like the economy of parts you've got, but it's the dynamism that really impressed me - they all look very capable. Great job Steebles!

Excellent! I really like the curved walls you've used for the corridor and the details in each of the rooms. I can't wait to see the extended others rooms you've got planned.
-
Superb! That's an effective SNOT approach to the sidewalk and the whole buildings looks suitably derelict. Nicely done...

Just an opinion, but I think the roof is hiding the awesome contents and maybe an open topped wagon would let them be better seen....

You may want to think about moving that Switch on the far left hand side - if it's manually operated you've got a long reach over to get to it. Maybe you could rotate it through 180 degrees and add it to the 'to-be extended vertical at the lower left hand side'.

There's some interesting techniques you've got going on and that facade is impressive! It has to be Brick built!

Good review of a great little Tractor! I still have this one and coincidently I reassembled it last night for incorporation into my latest Modular MOC. I think though that it was available in Red in the 4563 Load and Haul Railroad. /Edit/ I've just located the instructions on Peeron ( http://www.peeron.com/scans/4563-1/11) and it's not exactly the same.... meh!

Excellent! I like how you've shown the evolution of the MOC through the years. And I can't wait for next years version.... Happy Halloween!

On the first one I'm going to disagree with you LT. I like the contrast between the two - very European. But with a building that age you might consider adding a Chimney. (I've also got a soft spot for TV aerials at the moment ) As for the second one, I say keep it flat, but you might think about a Cornice to give the roof some separation from the facade and as for the top of the roof how about an AC unit or two, some solar panels (and, dare I suggest it, another TV aerial). I like what you've done!

MOCs...detail as you go, or when you're done?
eurotrash replied to punkkid364's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Maybe I'm not the best person to offer an opinion (because my MOCs tend to be of the seedier part of town; Bars, Breweries, Flophouses, Soup Kitchens etc), but my general method is the same irrespective of whatever structure I'm building. First I build the outline shape and get the proportions right and work out how it's going to relate to the adjacent structures, then I add the details and that always means rebuilding and adjusting, then I add the grungy bits - the fallen plaster, the overgrown ivy, the broken down drainpipes etc., then finally I add the tile floors, furniture, bathrooms, etc. Then I take pictures and deconstruct it back to just the outside shell. It's a process that works for me, but your mileage may vary.... -

Good detailing and I love the Robby the Robot! -
Well I suppose it is a SNOT technique I like this!

The rainbow looks good - almost like falling bricks! I like it a lot.
