Don't worry - there's no hipsters anywhere near this one. I'll post it once I get those final pieces, but in the meantime check your eurobricks mail.... :)

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Showing your age there OTW. Me? I'd be happy with the Hacienda in Manchester. Seriously though, that's a good call. I could see it working. -
Great looking building! I like the AC unit detail on the roof, those pallets are effective and the lettering is striking. Not too sure about those non-Lego pieces though

I've been following this since your first post and this is coming along really well. You've managed to build some fantastic detailing and I can't wait to see the brick-built version develop.

Very festive! I like the way you change the banner seasonally - it's a nice touch.

I like the chunkiness of the build - seven wide is definitely the way to go. It looks substantial enough and there's some good looking stickers. Nice job!

It's really coming together LT. I'm digging the rear staircase.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
eurotrash replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
And double-secret probation! Actually I'm ok with Lego's child-friendly backstory for the Detective's Office and I completely understand why they have to that, but we're all adults here and are more than capable of modding it into something more adult-appropriate. I guess the frustration that people are experiencing has maybe more to do with keeping the set original, wanting to display it as such and not wanting to have to MOD it. So with that said I'll keep on buying Modulars and Friends sets and building my own decaying, crumbling versions of whatever takes my fancy. -
We had one open up a year or two back in town. Here's a link to their story http://www.nevadadailymail.com/story/1682266.html . It's cool inside - it looks like your second picture LT - and as soon as I saw your MOC I knew what you were striving for.

Seriously? <ShakesHeadSlowly> The Modular looks good LT! I think it's going to need a second story though if you're planning on placing it next to the DO.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I really enjoy the build itself. It's a pleasure seeing the little design touches that Jamie and the team have incorporated and I always learn new techniques. Having said that the Sets get displayed in a haphazard way in my Lego room. Then, after some time, they'll get MOCed (like my Palace Carpets) or MODded (like my Architectural Salvage Company) or Inventory'ed into circulation again. I can see me, at some point, rebuilding them back into their original form, but, again, they won't last. I thinking General Merchants store, but I'd prefer something outside of the Western European/North American themed buildings we've had so far. I'd ask TLG to be bold in their next choice. -

It's really good to see it made out of Bricks! Excellent job.

Excellent work as usual Snaillad! The white painted scrolly woodwork, the large chimneys and the corner stone work is just so perfect and in keeping with a rural UK Train Station. Tip of the hat to you...
