Hybros grimaced. The undead Crimson Crown made sense if the man under the staircase brought many of his gang with him, but the appearance of the ressurected Moon Elves was disturbing. They were hard enough to beat the first time the imp faced them, but the fact that Melville could raise such creatures from deep below Eubric made the enemy seem more impossible. Guts throws a Sleep Bomb at the port front before attacking Hrostulf from the back row with Mythril Edge. He then uses a Potion or Grand Potion as necessary. Battle Order: >Hybros (Tiger Balm, Melville) >Hybros (Ancient Skeleton Mob, Reaper) >Hoke (Melville, Flagpole) >Hoke (Vekken, Order) >Hybros (Baffle Bomb, Starboard) >Hybros (Novice Legion, Justice) >Em >Dyric Erik (Sicarii Squad, Sleeper) >Guts (Sleep Bomb, Port) >Guts (Hrostulf, Edge) >Guts (Potion/Grand Potion/nothing) >Guts (Hrostulf, Edge, if at full health) Illdria (Rapier/Balanced Main-gauche, Hrostulf/Novice Legion Illdria (Rapier/Balanced Main-gauche, Hrostulf/Novice Legion Zaises (Chemist Mob, Mace) Thalion >Torc (Ancient Skeleton Mob, fire)

Check your PMs.

She clasped his hand. It was good to have someone to relate to on board, even if it was only half of an elf. "Jinnipher. Who or what is that?" Jinnipher joined Skrall on the deck. "Ooh, scary. Guess we'll just have to chop their limbs off one by one." She drew her sword and raised her borrowed shield towards the octopi.

The latter. I was hoping I could target Lind with no weapon for a chance to roll Sentinel, but it sounds like it'd be a bigger risk if I rolled Damage.
-
If a hero targets another hero for an attack, how do the rolls work? Damage=taking damage equal to power from the target and Special Damage=target's SHIELD skill targets allied party?
-
You still made it too easy.

In spite of the army surrounding the party, Hybros grips his scythe and charges through the rain and smoke, running right up to Melville and smashing a jar of Tiger Bomb on him. He backs up and attacks the Ancient Skeleton Horde A with Zoot's Reaper. Then rushing over to the starboard front, throws a Baffle Bomb and attacks the Novice Legion from the back row with Justice. He shouts over the pounding rain and sounds of battle. "Captain! See what you can do about our old friend Hrostulf. Zaises, those chemists are yours." OOC: Will post a battle order once we have more actions. I didn't notice this before, but Hybros should be out his Baldur Bomb and one Holy Bomb, plus there are two Baffle Bombs listed separately, just so you know. What a battle!

"What is with you and being so sure I'm going to be the one lying face down in the ground? From the sounds of it you'd better tread lightly if your don't want to be tossed overboard by more than one of us." Nonetheless, she equipped the gear. "I'll be sure to send these down with you." She nodded, trying to be nice to the half-elf. "What's your name, kiddo?" "So if the dragon decides to fly over and burn us to a crisp before we even get there, there's nothing we can do. Great. Hope you have some other tricks up your sleeve, captain."
-
She looked away from the captain and Skrall for a moment to look at the deck. "I have. There were many before your time in Heroica I imagine, unless a few remained after... well, you know." She went on as if she assumed Skrall knew what she was talking about. "Anyway, I'm in it for the coin. Heroica doesn't pay as well as others since we're supposed to be helping people for free, but so much for that." She giggled to herself a little, but quickly remembered her purpose in Moone, and added solemnly: "Not that it's all about the gold..."
-
Jinnipher gives a nod to her King, then a small bow. "<I will not disappoint.>" She gave a traditional elvish parting phrase before boarding the ship. With not a single coin on her person nor the care to play games with such a serious matter at hand, Jinnipher opts to talk with Armstrong. "So captain, I'm sure you're aware of what's happening in Moone, right? Anything on this ship that can fight off a dragon?"
-
Continuing to ignore Lind's gibberish, Jinnipher replied to Skrall. "Oh I'll complete the mission alright, don't you worry about that. Skrall, right? I don't see any other ogres around."
-
Jinnipher raised her hand to slap Lind across the face, but decided it would only encourage him. She turned to Warlen as calmly as she could. "Half-elf, huh? What made your elf-kin decide to lay with a human?"
-
Jinnipher's face started to turn red with anger. "Get this through your thick skull right now. I am not a part of a team, this is not my first quest, and I am not WEAK." She started to ventilate heavily, but remembered she was still in the prescence of the King so she tried to calm down. "You'd better be careful of what you say, kid. I have a lot of years and experience on you, and you're just an adolescent human. And do NOT call me that unless you want to wake up with no tongue."
-
Jinnipher half-hid a sneer. "I don't need any handouts. I can take care of myself, thank you very much." Nonetheless, she took the Fez and stuffed it in her bag. "I'll keep your valuables safe if you really want." "The name's Jinnipher." she announced to the party. "And before long you won't forget it. I guess I'll need to know your names so I can tell the coroner." "In any case, I'm ready to go. My King, I'll have that dragon's head for you on a silver platter."
-
Jinnipher rolled eyes. "Obviously. Unless you want to fly there, hotshot."
-
Hybros appeared from the flames with the others behind him and approached Illdria as she boarded the Apocalypse. "Without a hitch, heheheheh" "Indeed they did, heheh. Well done Melvin." He pats the dwarf on the back. Hybros nods his thanks. He would have to look into the captian's fighting style; it seemed effective against large crowds of enemies at the very least. "We are right at your side, captain. Let us finish this." Hybros cautiously hands (uses) a Nostrum to Zaises. OOC: The three Grand Tonics were taken out of Guts' inventory but never added to Hybros'. Not that it would matter if Melvin won't be in the battle.

Jinnipher frowned at being called a 'subject'; she couldn't have been farther from such a thing. But she knew better than to talk back to her king. She still owed some loyalty to the remnants of her people after all. <"Amateurs, all of them. If I have to take out this dragon myself, consider it done."> She rose from her bow, and also switched back to common as well as her usual lofty demeanor, hiding her distraught and fear about the destruction of her people. "Delibately razing your loyal towns... sounds like he has a bone to pick. Also sounds like he isn't the smartest of dragons. He should've stayed out while he had the chance." She finally acknowledged the party. "So it sounds like we should visit the Cathedral of Ennoc first, and see if we can find this Sputnik. Perhaps the safe towns also indicate the ones not loyal to King Faust. We should be safe from the dragon there, at least."
-
Jinnipher is the last to show up, fashionably late. She strides leisurely towards the group, but upon noticing Faust she quickly drops her act and bows low. Additionally she unsheathes her sword and rests it point-down in front of her. She greets her liege in elvish. <"My King... It has been a long time."> Even from the brief interactions a few of the present heroes had with Jinnipher, they could tell she was not used to using such a formal tone. <"I heard about the dragon problem. I'm... here to help."> She paused, searching for her words in the cobblestone. <"How is Moone after all these years? How are... my parents?"> For the moment she seemed completely absorbed with the king, and didn't acknowledge the other heroes.

At the Marketplace, Jinnipher picks up a potion and a bedroll, handing over her last 10 gold.
-
"Whatever that means..." Jinnipher spots King Faust enter and post a notice. She looked down at him from the saloon in surprise. She turned back to Purpearl. "Well, see you later sister." She walked down the stairs and read the notice. She grinned. It was time to go home.

Interesting! I've only been hosted by a few QMs as well, Zepher and Sandy being tied for 4 and 129 making 3 for CallMePie (actually four if you include the extremely short UQ stint). The remaining three quests I've been on were all by different QMs.
-
Oh, of course. I got my wands and staves mixed up.
-
There's still a stronger version of the Heavy Flail, though. No battles? Revert to base class? Switch to magic class thanks to the flowing ether? You're scaring me. Four to date, doesn't seem like that much considering how much you host in general. Maybe Nerwen has got me beat on that one. I'd love to see the Pheles Rod be used with Witch now that you changed it to a dagger.

There ought to be a 'Special Mirror'-giving artifact. Not seriously, of course, but think of the chaos...

Aye, Regulator is the way to go. I was thinking about this... would you be able to handle two Marauders? Maybe it'd be best if we didn't both switch to it. Please drop Regulator again. It's an awesome class, I would especially like to have Jinnipher go that route since none of the other knighty expert classes interest me too much. As far off in the future as that is. With all ten gold that she has? Before she even entered the game? No, I've been wanting to get the Heavy Flail for over a year now.
