  1. That was answered, only a few posts back from yours. Is it that hard to read? I agree, but I think that the Orange-Grey BDs were only a one-time, special occasion thing. I'm thinking around $50-60, if it's a good-sized, good looking set.
  2. Can anyone take a guess at what that dark blue thing is in this picture? Looks like a small dragon to me, but any other ideas? I am also glad to see that white skeleton horse, which probably means the return of Skellies. Especially since in the 2009 catalog has an article title of "Knights, Dwarfs, and Trolls!". Where's the Skellie love? I can wait on Elves as long as Skellies are here to stay. Also, it seems like we won't be getting those new rumored Castle sets until Wave 2 this year...
  3. Probably, I wouldn't expect that many people go on to EB on Christmas... but Happy (late) B-Day anyway.
  4. You have a point there, but some people (I do) don't have the piece, which is why we tell you to have a substitute piece or a backup character, which you did do. :thumbup:May I suggest that you use that black helmet on your bounty hunter as a substitute for the Kit Fisto head, for anyone who doesn't have it? I'll add the first picture and the bio to the index for now, and see how things go.
  5. Haha, hilarious! This issue was one of the wackiest, but one of the best. Can't wait for the next issue! (Do we get to see KimT get whacked? I can't wait until he realizes I know best. ) "If we throw him in the water and zap him, will he get sent back to the Imitation Anime Universe?" "I don't know..."
  6. Really interesting story, Zepher, and great MOC! Do you write a lot? It was kind of strange, but could really make for an interesting movie or book, but good job anyway on creating it in a MOC.
  7. Ah, thanks for pointing that out. Good luck, Sir Dillon, anyways!
  8. No, it means that you can only use Lego Pirates, like the first thing that comes to mind when someone says pirates. You know... Caribbean, cannons, eye patches and all that, and not Steampunk, etc. But does it really matter, since the contest is over?
  9. In the new Lego online catalog, you can see that Brickmaster magazine will have not only the MINI Republic Star Destroyer special in the January-February issue, but also a another (unknown at the moment) Star Wars exclusive in the July-August issue. I wonder what it could be?
  10. Thanks very much for the news, Penguin! You didn't... erm... happen to get any pics, did you? Sounds great! We finally get Gunray and a Rodain, but hopefully they'll both be like Plo Koon- CW-styled minifigures, but still looking like a classic-style one (if you know what I mean). Hmm... Now I have my doubts on getting it. I'll probably just get the Palpy fig on BL. Sounds fine to me... one question, though- is it the snail droid? Sounds good, just what we expected. I'm not sure whether or not I like this "mid-scale" idea yet... On one hand, the mid-scale models are cool, small, save space, and cost less, but on the other hand, normal- sized SW vehicles are small (compared to minifigs) already. The TIE Advanced in the DS looked good enough...
  11. Great car, very accurate to the movie. The only thing that I would perhaps change about it is adding mudguards to the back wheels. But really caught my eye was the classic chase scene- very well done! I just watched Radiers again, and I love all of the little events of the scene that you included, such as the Arab hitting the windshield.
  12. Great entry! Wonderful tree, especially with the ebony wood. Cool statue, too, although I suggest not mixing new and old grey on such a small piece. Good luck!
  13. Very nice, I love all of the smoothing and SNOT techniques, like on the wooden hut, the drawbridge, and the roofs. It looks "secret" enough, if that's what you're worried about. I also really like the detachable rooms, very clever. However, if you have the time and bricks, I would add an interior and more figures. Good luck!
  14. You know, that's actually a very good theory. It could be like the Vader's TIE in the DS play set: not quite full size, but big enough to fit a minifigure in it. A mid-scale MF wouldn't be nearly as good as a full-scale one, but we'll juts have to wait and see.
  15. 1. Hinckley 2. SlyOwl 3. Phred 4. CGH Good luck to all!
  16. The cows look "fake" enough, at least to me... I guess it's just a matter of opinion, but I still think that that particular taun-taun is fake/ custom. I wasn't aware that we were playing a mafia game... ...and even if he doesn't appear in the show, I think he still has a chance at being a fig in a Summer '09 set. The Rouge Shadow was based off of a video game, so more sets could be, too.
  17. I can see how the color is weird in your brick, Dennimator, but I can't see any red. I have also seen more parts quality slips recently. For example, various sized slopes are smooth on all sides, instead of having that rough texture on the angled part. Also, some of the bricks don't seem to fit properly on others. For example, the bottom of a 1x6 brick had stud space too small to fit on top of other pieces, so when I tried attaching it, it slipped an cut my wrist. Lego is dangerous! Another example is that some minifigures' legs are too big to fit on studs. Hopefully these problems will be at least be improved soon.
  18. Congratulations, Team America and MM. I voted for both of them, but Erdie's snow box came close.
  19. Happy Birthday, you three! Have a great day! And SlyOwl, good luck on that CCCVI contest.
  20. Thanks Adam, excellent bio. That and adjustments have been made to the index thread. I'll try to get to work on that MOC index soon. And I still need: - A picture from Wouwie, and maybe some more bio (I know you're working on it) - A suitable picture of BPac's character - A smaller picture from simonjedi
  21. I never said I was talented... And it's Dancer! () Mr. Crowley- Ozzy Osbourne Crazy Train- Ozzy Osbourne Re-Education Through Labor- Rise Against My Immortal- Evanessence Shadow of the Day- Linkin Park One Last Breath- Creed
  22. Hm, it's your call if you're right (although you could be wrong). You can't do anything until we have some proof, though. But looking at the pic again and again only makes it look less unofficial every time. The beak and head are way to smooth and realistic for Lego- I would imagine that Lego, to make the Taun-Taun inexpensive for both themselves and customers, would make the head would look a lot like the custom(s) that we've seen, or even similar to the Lego horse. And, the horns look like a new mold- Lego would probably just use tan fang pieces (which is fine). I feel like I'm an attorney in court, presenting evidence...
  23. Very nice! The white looks much, much better than the grey. I think, even without this beautiful design, TLG's RAS would have looked a lot better in white.
  24. Very nice banner, JD! :thumbup:My character looks a little weird, but that's okay. Wouwie is in the index, he just hasn't provided a picture of his character. I will make some more adjustments to the rules and stuff today. EDIT: I know I've already told you, Oky Wan, but I'd like to say once again that you've done a wonderful job on all of the overviews. Great work, and thanks very much!
  25. They usually clear sets from the first wave of the previous year in the next Janurary. In other words, sets like the Rouge Shadow and Anakin's JSF won't be available much longer, but sets like the RGS and AT-TE, or Ashoka's JSF and Vader's TIE, will.
