  1. I was thinking about this, but the index is already a little long, don't you think? And the players that are no longer playing don't really need a bio. I want to keep the index as short as possible, but still a nice thing for reference, especially for new joiners. I was thinking about this, too, but there really is no need for them. This isn't director's cut, it's just an index. I will put the current banner that specifies the current chapter (not the ones like Adam's, sorry) in, though.
  2. Damn you! I'll be sure to kick you if I ever see you. Well, at least I'm on the reserve list... or is everybody who didn't get picked on there? Either way, I'm looking forward to actually following along to a mafia game for once (Mystery Manor doesn't count as a "mafia" game), and I'll have to if I get a chance to play.
  3. Congrats to all three winners! You guys really worked hard on commenting on almost every entry with good, constructive posts. Now I'm really sorry that I didn't participate more.
  4. Exactly, so stop making assumptions, and stop insulting. Sure, a lot of us like to geek out about the latest Lego sets, but that doesn't mean we're "uncool" or "nerds". And nobody is "attacking" you, if anyone's verbally attacking, it's you. With that kind of outlook, you won't make many friends here, so keep it to yourself, alright?
  5. Frankly, it looks hideous. Very, very small, I doubt if you can fit all five figures in there. The color scheme is accurate, but I can't say that I like the design at all. Definitely not worth it, IMO. I think that this is the real deal, though. The figures look official enough, and Lego would probably know better than to give us an ISD with red stripes. Thanks legomilk for the pic, but I'll pass on this one (unless it's improved or fake). Exactly what I thought when I saw the pic... Aren't all (or at least most) Star Wars sets? The ISD might be downscaled, but no Star Wars set was in these kind of proportions. Overall, this set (fake, prelim, or otherwise) is definitely not worth 130 USD, in my opinion. I'll probably just modify my ISD to look like a (real) RSD.
  6. Well, hold on there. Like Oky Wan said, we have figured out a rough idea of how the season is going to be. But don't worry, anything can happen (figuratively speaking) between then and now, or even in the season itself. Oky Wan has done his (voluntary) part () in the MOC index, so expect the complete index very soon.
  7. Wait, we have to have construction pics, too? Sorry if this was discussed before... Also, I'd like to sign up for another module. 62- Royal Armory sounds interesting, I'll give it a shot.
  8. Thanks, you two! Phew, that's good to know (I was running out of pieces), then I'm done with this. Next up is the Servant's Quarters, which I signed up for. I'll work on that when I think of some good ideas and get some time to sit down and build. This is fun, so I'll have to sign up for more (small ) rooms.
  9. It does, thanks bunch. "We are family..." I'll check it out later.
  10. I can only think of one word for this- spoiled! Sure, I'd like to have that many clones, but I'd rather spend on... I don't know, food? Clothes? The bills? Obviously his parents are rich and like to spoil their kid, even though he claims to have raised the money himself. I highly doubt it, since he sounds like he's about 10-12 years old, and probably American. I don't know, maybe he did work for that money, or maybe he just begged his relatives for it, but that's way to much to spend on Lego, or at least battle packs just to show off. If I had that much extra cash lying around, I'd get many different sets, or other things that I wanted. Or give it to charity. Sorry if I sound so negative, but clearly this kid doesn't know the value of money. It is a cool collection...
  11. Both are great sets, but I'm definitely going to have to go with Peril in Peru. Seeing the picture of this set again reminds me that it is still on the top of my list, for many reasons. First, the plane itself is spectacular, and no <insert that tiresome argument> tail, nose, or wing parts. The two other vehicles are something extra that Lego decided to throw in, and the minifigs and accessories are great. Overall, this is a set that Lego seemed to go all out on, and it's only 50 USD. I just hope my TRU still has them in stock... The Flying Wing, on the other hand, doesn't offer as much for the same price. The only interesting figure is the German mechanic, although the RotLA Marion fig was only in one other set so far. The Wing uses that giant wing piece, which will never really have a use besides being a pair of wings. The camouflage-printed cockpit piece is a plus, though, and maybe it could be used for a green JSF. The oil tanker is nice, but it looked much better in the preliminary pics. So, both are cool sets, but Peril in Peru gives you much more for the same price. Both will make wonderful additions to my setup.
  12. Hello, I have done a revised wine cellar. I decided to redo it because it was not only too small (my mistake on reading the map), but also lacked a hallway and walls. Without further ado, here it is: Here is the overview. Not much to the outside, but it's nice, smooth, and simple. I tried to stay consistent with the hallway design, by using only minor adjustments (sorry, I know the hallway design isn't fully decided yet, and I can always make adjustments if need be). Here's a better look at the hallway. It is mostly the same as the original example, but I used a large arch in the middle instead of two little ones, like on the sides, because of piece limitation. I also used the tan Harry Potter door instead of just a bley arch, mainly because I think it looks better, and adds color. Also note the torches on the doorway. On the left side of the interior, we have a wine rack, holding red wine bottles. There is also a servant fetching a few bottles via ladder for the King's grand banquet. And on the right side of the cellar, we have two crates with various bottles of rum, champagne, and other drinks. A spider builds her home in the corner, blocking off the box with a bottle of rum in it. Finally, a last picture of the back of the room. I didn't add a guard balcony, since this is the first floor... I'll add one if there is supposed to be balcony there. Comments are always welcome.
  13. Same here. I like your designs, ISC, but I think they're just too complex, piece-wise. I don't really understand 2, though... Plus, I already made my hallway in the style of 1.
  14. Thrash: Nice update on the map. I was just wondering about the "Used" spaces in the keep- what is in their place? Stairs? I also had a question regarding the guard walls of the keep. Since there are three floors, how would the balcony work on the first and second floors? They can't really sit on top of each other- that would defeat the purpose of having a balcony. I'll take another look at the first post, but this doesn't make sense to me right now... darkagent: Nice improvements for your throne room. I really like the red carpet and the war trophies on the wall. I also had time for an updated version of my wine cellar, which I have enough bricks to make (thanks to the King's Castle Siege set) it, the walls, and the hallway (sorry, I couldn't wait. I can always make changes if need be). So, here's a teaser: You can check it out in the Alpha thread.
  15. Impressive! I imagine some of them are custom, like the one with a Luke Skywalker torso. I was wondering- why does one of them have a blue lightsaber blade? Another has a trans-neon green spider... but excellent setup anyway, and I really hope for the return of Ninjas.
  16. Thanks for the review. This looks like a really cool set, but the speeder thing is just a crappy add-on that I would rather have without, and pay less. There's a great selection of figures here- a Jedi, a clone, 3 SBDs and 2 BDs iss more than I could ask for in a $50 set. I really hate it that the "pilot" droids have the regular arms- if they were pilots, they'd have blue torsos, like in the MTT. Either way, they should still have one regular and one twisted arm. Sorry if I seem ungrateful, but this is one major thing in recent SW sets that really bothers me. I am glad, however, that the Clone comes with a rifle, and not a pistol. I like to have all of my troops and commanders have rifles, and the other units have pistols... Thenew SBD arms are great too. As for the tank itself, it's very sleek, and came off better than I thought, especially since I was hoping for the Episode I tan style AAT. The playability seems okay, but that's not really something I look for in a set, anyways. Those curved, quarter-circle pieces seem to becoming more and more common among SW sets. I don't really have a problem with them, but I can't really imagine a good use for them in MOC.
  17. Congrats to all of the winners (large, small, and medium)! I really liked all of the entries, and this contest really turned out to be a great one!
  18. A wonderful follow-up to your Jungle Adventure, Brickster! I really enjoyed watching the jungle grow, and this one looks good already. There's so many possibilities here- I can't wait to see what else you can think up. What's next, an underwater diorama? Indiana Jones really does provide a lot of creativity, with it's different elements and vehicles.
  19. I can't identify the pieces for you, but there's usually number (of any given amount of digits) somewhere on the brick, and you can enter that number into a Lego reference site (Peeron or Bricklink, for example) and you'll probably find what you're looking for.
  20. Currently, I only have instructions from my latest sets, because every instruction booklet I ever had before my dark age (starting in '04) I threw out. I had no idea how important it was to keep them... But anyways, I just stack them in a corner of my room, with the large rectangular booklets on bottom, the medium square booklets in the middle, and the small rectangular booklets on the very top. I also keep my sticker sheets (I usually don't use stickers) in the front page of the booklet. If there are two or more booklets of the set, the sticker sheet goes in the first.
  21. MOC Index Reserve
  22. WhiteFang was kind enough to merge samthelegoman's post into this topic, so now there's posts for the MOC index. Feel free to post in the Index thread now. SimonJedi, I will add your bio later.
  23. MOC Index Reserve
  24. My last sets of 2008 were: Jungle Cutter (Indiana Jones) Temple Escape (Indiana Jones) King's Castle Siege (Castle) Hopefully my first set of 2009 will either be the Medieval Market Village, or a Star Wars set (AT-TE, Droid Gunship, or Vader's TIE).
  25. Both look excellent! I'll have to take apart my King's Castle Siege to build my two rooms, hallways, and guard walls. Hopefully I have enough pieces now... By the way, great money changer!
