  1. Looking very good so far, ISC and darkagent! I really like that brothel. I also like that cool scene you've put together, Trash! Hopefully I'll get started on the Servant's Quarters and Wine Cellar over the Holiday Break.
  2. I'm ashamed to say that I didn't vote for Harley Quinn, although she would be my second pick. My first would be Scarecrow, since he is my favorite Bat villain in general, and the minifig really captures that scariness of the character. My third choice would have to be Two-Face, since TLG did a very nice job creating their own unique version of the character in fig form. All of the Bat villains are good, really, and I hope to get at least one Batman set before the theme expires.
  3. Very cool creations, again, Batbrick! I especially like the Joker Copter and the Scarecrow wagon/ vig- very scary! You know, that's not a bad idea... I think I will! And also, very "punny" villain [insert pun here].
  4. Throwing snowballs at Hinckley? Yes. Watching him lose? Yes. Because I want to see Hinckley's a$$ beat some friendly competition, and hopefully I'll be able to join in, too, if I pass my last RA review. Americans! Pizza and hilarity? Win-Win situation, I think. Well, the holiday season at Eurobricks is really turning out to be spectacular, with an advent raffle, three great contests, and a new skin and banner to get you in that holiday spirit. This is the first time I've experienced December on EB (I joined in early January), and I'm definitely not disappointed. I wish good luck to all who are participating in the contest(s) and raffle, and Happy Holidays to everyone.
  5. Wonderful little piece of art, LuxorV. I'm going to go with what KimT said about being nice, small, and smooth, like a MINI is supposed to be.
  6. I can't really see Dooku that clearly on the box pic, but hopefully he won't look like the one in the comic. The pilot droid looks good, if not accurate, and it seems that the magnaguards don't have those black markings on their cape after all. Thanks, rcpeck, for the great pics of the AAT and Hyena Droid. The Hyenea Bomber actually doesn't look half bad when the wings are folded. Yoda in the AAT looks kind of weird from the back, with his wild hair, but he still looks okay. The new SBDs look great, but what really bothers me is that the BDs don't have any twisted arms- in fact, I haven't seen any twisted arms for the droids since the Hailfire and Spider Droid set... The speeder in the AAT is really crappy, IMHO...
  7. They're probably S@H exclusives, and exclusive to the landmark's gift shop like the last pair.
  8. I thought she did remember... but who knows? This show is way too confusing... Speaking of which... now there are involved?! This is almost as bad as Indy 4. And they've moved the show to Fridays... starting in February. Considering that Friday is a day that people don't usually watch T.V, I'd say that the end is near for this show... But at least we got some answers relating to the Turk and other things from 3 weeks ago. (Spoiler inserted for those who... complain...)
  9. That's nice to know, considering I'm living in Wisconsin, too. Hopefully I'll snag those BPs after the holidays.
  10. Oh, cool! I'd better finish that last review... Good luck to all! EDIT: Very funny entry, Nadroj. I also like how the snow box's theme fits that of the person who built it.
  11. Looks great! The skin is very appropriate, and Plo Koon looks great on the banner.
  12. New Lego Architecture sets have been revealed! Brickset has just posted new pictures of Adam Reed Tucker's creations. Although prototype images have been shown in the instruction booklets of 21000 Sears Tower and 21001 John Hancock Center, these are the first images of the complete sets. The two new additions to the line (2009 release) are the 21002 Empire State Building from New York, and the 21003 Seattle Space Needle. Personally, all of the Architecture sets look magnificent. They are simple, fun MINIs of the world's famous landmarks, and are really inspiring to make your favorite landmark in Lego form. They are a little (Under-exaggeration) over-priced, but I am seriously considering buying the first pair when I go to Schaumberg in Illinois this holiday. And by the way, have we seen those bendy pieces in the Space Needle before?
  13. I did mine on MS Paint. Nothing big, but I did add an elf hat instead of a Santa one, plus some snow. I wonder if it really snows in the Caribbean...
  14. Okay, so I didn't even start this weekend. I've been sort of busy lately, but expect to see the index within the next two weeks (probably less). Be on the lookout for a MOC index, too (in the same topic, of course).
  15. Truly fantastic. It's really detailed, and I can see the dragon perfectly. I agree with what Dragonator said, that this is a wonderful entry, and you should blow away the competition.
  16. I personally think that the TIE Advanced is enough for now, but I understand your frustration. Be patient, we will probably get a ton of OT sets in summer/ fall 2009 for the Anniversary. $49.99, I think.
  17. Oky Wan, the reason for having three droid pilots is that one of them is "custom". I took one of my droid BP BDs, and replaced it's tan torso for a blue one from an old Mars Mission set. You have quite the army as well, and I'll look forward to some pics!
  18. Thanks, darthperson. Mace Windu actually doesn't look that bad, considering he's CW style. And this is only one of two sets that have a purple lightsaber blade.
  19. 25. I Scream Cone- Needs More Salt! 16. SirNadroj- Quartering the Quatermasters 6. Talon Karrde It was a tough decision, but ISC's cannibal entry took the cake. It was very well-built, cleary showed the cruelty of pirates, and fit a lot on such a small space. Great job, ISC! My second place vote goes to SirNadroj. As always, he has really amazed me with his creative building skills and the ability to make his MOCs really unique. I loved the architectural style used for the balcony, and it was also very cruel. Excellent, Nadroj! And finally, Talon Karrde takes the third place in my vote. He fit a ton in 16 square studs, with plenty of action and cruelty, plus two neat buildings. Good work! My honorable mentions go out to... 1. General Armendariz- Plunderin' Port Marina! A great entry that really showed the cruelty of pirates. The smashing wall, flying soldiers, and man-eating shark were all factors that made this entry so good. 4. Rook- Rated R "Rated Arrrrrrrr" was a really cruel entry. It clearly shows the action, and is well-built. The ship was especially cool. 9. Majek- There will be "Bang" Another great entry. The storage shed is definitely the focal point in this piece of art, with a really sweet roof. The gunpowder trail and palm tree were also good, and of course, the entry was cruel. :pir-skull: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There were a lot of other great entries as well. People clearly put a lot of thought into their entries, and it looks like it paid off. Good luck to all!
  20. Which is why I said "whether these are true or not..." I'm hoping for the H-shaped landing craft, even if it can't hold the MTT. I remember a while back someone mentioned a Lego "C-9979" on their hopes for future sets. It would be an awesome addition to any CIS army. The sail could be cloth... maybe even that transparent flexible (yet stiff) plastic type material. I wouldn't care if it had a deploying function or not, but rather an attachable/ detachable sail function. You want stickers?! Shame on you! And it comes with IG/ Assassin droids. And it's only $10. Buy it, now.
  21. Very nice Gungan army! That's first I've ever seen, and it's really impressive considering there's only a handful in old sets. (I finally get to use that smiley). Amazing, Penguin, just amazing... Wow, that Geonosis army is spectacular! Here are my armies: CIS: 1 General Greivous (2 green, 2 blue lightsabers, bley hilts) 1 Asajj Ventress (2 red lightsabers, bley curved hilts) 1 Darth Vader (1 red lightsaber, chrome hilt) 1 Darth Maul (1 double-sided red lightsaber, chrome hilt) 1 [Custom] Count Dooku (1 red lightsaber, bley curved hilt) 2 Commander Battle Droids (1 pistol each) 3 Pilot Battle Droids (1 pistol each) 2 Security Battle Droids (1 pistol each) 22 Battle Droids (1 pistol each) 5 Super Battle Droids (No accessories) I have quite a lot of battle droids, with a lot of help from the MTT. The Count Dooku fig is custom, but hopefully we'll see a flesh non-CW Dooku. I really like displaying the battle droids because they fit so perfectly next to each other, and I don't have to keep a stud in between each of them since they don't have regular minifig arms. All of the battle droids in my collection have twisted arms, thanks to extra twisted arms in some sets. Empire: 2 Royal Guards (1 black spear each) 1 Grand Moff Tarkin (No accessory) 1 Imperial Officer (No accessory) 1 AT-ST Pilot (No accessory) 5 Stormtroopers (No accessories) 2 Snowtroopers (No accessories) 1 TIE Pilot (No accessory) 1 Shadowtrooper (No accessory) 1 Mouse Droid I don't have many Imperial figs, or even enough weapons to give them, but their good enough for me for now. The bulk of them come from the ISD, and the rest from the TIE Interceptor and Imperial BP. A friend gave me the Snowtroopers and AT-ST pilot. Republic: 1 Commander Cody (2 commander blaster pistols) 1 Commander Fox (2 commander blaster pistols) 2 Clone Troopers {Clone Wars} (1 blaster rifle each) 2 Clone Commanders {Episode III} (1 blaster rifle each) 1 AT-RT Pilot {Episode III} (1 blaster rifle) 2 Shocktroopers {Episode III} (1 blaster pistol and 1 pair of electrobinoculars each) 4 Clone Troopers {Episode III} (1 blaster rifle each) 1 Clone Pilot {Clone Wars} (1 blaster pistol) 5 Clone Pilots {Episode III} (1 blaster pistol each) 1 Republic Captain (1 blaster pistol and 1 pair of electrobinoculars) 1 Republic Pilot (1 blaster pistol) 1 Naboo Pilot (1 harpoon gun) 3 R2-D2s 1 R2-R7 1 R2-R4 1 R2-D5 1 Anakin Skywalker {Episode I} (No accessory) 1 Qui-Gon Jinn (1 green lightsaber, black hilt) 1 Obi-Wan Kenobi {Episode III, w/ or w/o comm. link} (1 blue lightsaber, chrome hilt) 1 Anakin Skywalker {Episode III, w/ comm. link} (1 blue lightsaber, chrome hilt) 1 Yoda (1 green lightsaber, chrome hilt, and 1 brown cane) 1 Kit Fisto (1 green lightsaber blade, bley hilt) 1 Obi-Wan Kenobi {Episode I} (1 blue lightsaber, chrome hilt) 1 Obi-Wan Kenobi {Clone Wars} (1 blue lightsaber, bley hilt) 1 Plo Koon (1 blue lightsaber, bley hilt) Sorry, that basketball player just couldn't resist some camera time. There's your Astromech army, Oky Wan, although I don't have many. Yes, technically R2-D5 is Imperial, but I just wanted him to be by the other astromechs (insert geek smiley here). Rebel Alliance: 1 Chewbacca (1 bowcaster) 1 Han Solo (1 pistol) 1 Luke Skywalker {Return of the Jedi} (1 green lightsaber, chrome hilt) 1 Luke Skywalker {Pilot} (No accessory) 1 Wedge Antilles (No accessory) 1 Dak Ralter (No accessory) 1 Leia Organa {Hoth} (No accessory) 4 Rebel Troops {A New Hope} (No accessories) 1 C-3PO {Chrome Gold} (No accessory) 2 Rebel Troops {Hoth} (No accessories) 2 A-Wing Pilots (No accessories) 1 K-3PO (No accessory) 3 Rebel Mechanics (No accessories) Besides those figs, I also have a yellow Skiff Han and a yellow Tatooine Luke, although I didn't include them because I want all of the figs to be fleshie. I got a lot of these figs from my friend. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, that's it. Sorry for the super long post, and feel free to comment!
  22. Plo Koon, all the way. The head mold is so ingenious, and it doesn't even look CW! The torso is also neat and it looks great next to Kit Fisto. Hopefully TLG will do more "side" Jedi. Some close seconds were Ben Kenobi, DS Darth Vader, and DS Palpatine... I'll have to order Ben and Palpy if they don't appear in 2009. I also really liked all of the new clones in general, with great helmets and torsos. Just switch out the E.T. heads for plain black ones, and they'll look fine.
  23. Thanks for the link. Whether this is true or not, it looks pretty good. I'm glad that the Tank droid is the Snail tank, I've been wanting one of those. MF, Y-Wing, RSD, and Echo base we already knew about, but it seems like the Endor bunker Battle set is supposed to be in space, but that would be stupid- the fans want an Endor bunker! And then there's the Separatist Shuttle... I thought that it would be a Nemodian shuttle, but this MTT shuttle is still cool. I wonder if it will be an Episode I set or a CW one... and to top it all off, we got a picture of the MINI Venator, which looks pretty sweet. Yes, the AAT looks wonderful! But the speeder is a real piece of crap... it looks like the speeder from the MTT, without any details or functions... Yes. And that looks like crap, too. It looks like a bunch of giant slopes slapped together, like the Sith Infiltrator, but worse. I really hope that they make it a lot sleeker. Unfortunately, yes. EDIT: Regarding the Solar Sailor, I read the little description on the bottom, and it looks like it will come with Count Dooku, (two?) Magnaguards, and his little speeder.
  24. Oh, well in that case, I might join. Thanks!
  25. Sounds like fun! I never got any train sets, or any wheels that fit a 9v track, so I won't be entering. But good luck to everyone!
