The Empire doesn't consider a small one-man fighter to be any thre

I haven't commented on your excellent MINIs before, but I had to stop in this time. That X-wing is fantastic! The sleekness, the guns and engines... all great. I also like the use of dark red over red. The only thing I would've changed is to have Artoo be a blue stud instead of a bley one. It would stand out more that way, I think. And great job on the Y-wing, as well! Simple, yet effective. Great parts usage too, I never would've though of that. And finally, even though I can't relate to those last two, I like how you introduce EU vehicles with your MINIs. They always add something to look for at the end of each of your groups. Do you have a Flickr? -
LEGO Collectible Minfigures Series 1 Poll
JimBee replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Grr... Leave it as it is, I say. On topic, here's my guess on the official names of all figs (assuming they ARE in alphabetical order): 1. Caveman 2. Cheerleader 3. Clown 4. Cowboy 5. Crash Test Dummy 6. Diver 7. Indian 8. Magician 9. Ninja 10. Nurse 11. Robin Hood 12. Robot 13. Rocker 14. Spaceman 15. Wrestler 16. Zombie One other thing, I find it strange that TLG will be releasing the two waves so close to each other- why not release this one in January and the other in June/ July? -
I was just about to say that! I'm tired of *drool*ing all over the place. Isn't that your favorite one? Me too, I've never really found a use for them except for sounding liker a noob. And also and . I disagree. I like to show disappointment, or just being sad, and it's completely different than . is just for frowning. And is for being unsure, and maybe unhappy, but not sad. I always thought was for noobs. But I like them both because shows surprise, and shows disbelief, awe. Same. I always get a kick out of it when KimT uses it. ... not so much since we have two others, and I can imagine it would get annoying after a while. Please! That would be amazing.

That's exactly what I said. I believe that the figs will NOT be mixed parts, but each fig is complete in its own bag. -
LEGO Collectible Minfigures Series 1 Poll
JimBee replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Just because it's not approved won't stop people from using it. The word "ain't" isn't really proper English, but it's still considered word in the English language. Now for my vote... I like each and every one of these figs, even the diver (new goggles!), except for maybe thhe dummy ( ) but these few stand out to me: 1- Caveman: New hair and beard molds- very nice! The printing is also good, and I find it tasteful that TLG thought to include this unique fig (there hasn't really been a caveman fig, ever, or a place for it in a theme). 2- Cheerleader: I'm liking that hairpiece more and more, and now even more thanks to the new color. I think those pom-poms are the same piece as the clown hair. And of course, it's always nice to get a new female fig. 4- Cowboy: Dark tan fedora and torso (with bullet chain!), here I come! 7- Indian: Hairpiece is great, even though it's not new. I like the facial expression. 11- Forestman: The return of that hat, plus the printing, bow and arrow holder thingamajig (both in Dark Brown!), and the sheer fact that this is the first sight of a forestman since the 80's... one hell of a fig. 16- Zombie: I really like the face print on this, and also the fact that TLG actually decided to make a zombie fig... Apoc theme ON! In the end, I vote for Zombie, with forestman as a close second. I really want an apocalypse theme. -

That's actually a good idea, though. Feeling for parts such as the clown hair (feel for one for the clown, or two for the cheerleader), or the Indian hair will help somewhat if you're trying to get a certain fig. But if there are really thick bags, like Front said, it will be pretty hard to guess what pieces are inside. There's no real confirmation yet, and it could go either way, but I'm betting that one complete fig, with the appropriate parts (not mixed parts), is how it's going to be done. It would be a good marketing strategy to mix parts, until kids and other FOLs get pissed that their bag came with random parts. Setting up a thread in the BSTF forum sounds like a good idea, once these come out. Shipping may cost some, but trading is probable cheaper than buying the parts off of Bricklink. -
*SLAP!* Pull yourself together! I'm tired of hearing you whine about feeling guilty. we have a situation here, and if you're just going to stand around and do nothing, save us the trouble by jumping out the airlock yourself. I've decided to change my vote. I've reviewed both sides, and have come to the conclusion that Barney is right- we need to find his identity. I still have a doubt about your honesty, but I won't go after you tomorrow if Engofi is innocent. No! No... I still don't know if you're playing me or really telling the truth. I could be blindly falling into your trap, or not believe you and save today's vote from failing. I choose the latter. My vote is not changing today.

A few movies worth noting recently (check the wikipedia pages if you want to know more): 2012: I didn't really like it at all. The story was typical, but the science was really off and improbable, and very similar to "The Knowing". The story was not really intriguing at all, I predicted the ending as soon as the "dams" were being built. And it was way too long. Halfway through I was restless, and I was thankful for the end. Parts where it was supposed to be funny were not, and while the first two-and-a-half years were sped through in the first half-hour, the year 2012 dragged on and on. The only good part about the movie was the action, which was actually really good. The sad thing is, the only part that was sad was when all of those sports cars fell out of the Russain plane. Mr. Brooks: I did like this one. I heard it was very creepy, but it was actually very simple to understand. The story was very compelling, and the characters were well-thought out. The only parts I didn't like were the gore and how the story was put into perspective by . It was a nice idea, , but it kept things too simple. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it, and it gets you thinking. The Invasion: Ironically, this movie was very similar to Quarryman's Infection mafia game. It's pretty hard to explain, but the story was definitely compelling. There was a little action, and that's good, so I'm glad they focused on the story. With Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig, the acting was superb, and with director like Joel Silver (Matrix trilogy), this movies was awesome. This also gave me something to think about.

Whoops, sorry about that. But it does sound like these claims are true. In case anyone was wondering, 25 SEK (Swedish currency) is about 3.58 USD. It may seem a little steep, but if you think about the new prints and molds, it's worth it. Plus, you're spending a lot less then if were getting a set from another theme just for the figs. -

Oh, thanks you two. Yeah, I could care less about the badges. A few members have "confirmed" this, including Etzel, who is a pretty reliable source. Why do you think it is silly? sounds smart to me- create all these awesome new molds and prints, but make them hard to collect, so that people like us buy them by the hundreds in attempt to get them all. Sounds pretty smart to me. -

Ah, thanks for clearing that up, Oky (and Etzel). What batches do you mean though? Are you saying that the opaque packages with assorted minifig parts will be at Legoland exclusively, and the complete figs will be sold everywhere? Demand is probably the reason that they would (not that they did) make them exclusive. If they were exclusive, the retails prices and BL prices would be insane. -
It's alright, I know you were trying to kill someone off for answers. Yes, I've spoken to both of them. Even at her death, Sarah denied being pregnant. So I do think what she said is something to pay attention to. "I'm not dangerous as long as I'm alive". What do you make of that? But it wouldn't be necessary. Like Rok said, there was never any pressure for anyone to do that. Sure, it may sound like something scum would do, but as good of a thought that it is, it seems to drastic. Or maybe they just wanted me to think that. Hm... Like you said, they could have limitations. I remember playing the video game "Noir", in which the scum had many in numbers to start with, so limitations were added to them. But the question had been in my mind as well... Which brings my theory from day 1 back up. I suggested that maybe there wasn't a night killer on the infected side- instead, people were infected. Maybe you're right about them having they option of doing either...
-
Too much crap to listen to, I'll have to replay these conversations... So you're saying that Michael, Barney, Rok, and Wicwa are ALL infected? And you're not? Oh-h-h, I'm not following Barney. Rok's the only one with his head on straight here, so I'm going along with him. Alright, good point. But, what do I do? Let you live by unvoting? It's not too late to let you live, but it is too late to vote someone else off. And we have to vote someone off today. I'm almost convinced that you are telling the truth, but there's just nothing I can do that will make the situation better. A commander that doesn't care. That's real reassuring. See? These are the kinds of things that push people away from sympathy for you in these games... of life. You seem like a good gal, then all of a sudden you throw all this hatred and suspicion toward you. I'm not unvoting you because now you made it all the more confusing. I do think you present a good case, and I do have a doubt in my mind about your allegiance, but now it's almost like you want to be killed. Thank you! How dare Susan call you an idiot. This is the perfect proof for grounds on voting off Susan, and now I know you must be uninfected if you're willing to risk your own life just to kill Susan. This is true- he killed Jad Suur on account of mine and Sarah's suspicions. I noticed that too, but I am unsure of their intentions... That guy that looks like a Rabbit didn't even know how to vote, so I'm thinking he just hopped on the bandwagon. The other two I don't know about...

Those are real minifigs, and not just badges like the link says? Wow. I would definitely buy at least 25 of these to try and get them all. I really, really, really hope they're not only at Legoland. Please, Lego, distribute them all over... I'm still in shock at how amazing these are. -
Ah, so that's what it is. It makes sense now, thank you. I have a very strong feeling that you're uninfected, and I hate to lose you... but is there any other way? Is there a way you can escape this fate? I can honestly say I don't know. You have a good point, but I still can't take your word over Rok's. If we lose you, and you are telling the truth, we lose the roleblocker, but if we lose Rok, and he's telling the truth, we lose the killer. One of you is lying, and we will find out who in the morning. It all comes down to trust. What an idiotic statement, as I recall, these "ancestors"... only have two true to my blood. And one of them managed to help flush out scum like you in his land. By the, insulting me is not helping you at all. Now who's the drama queen?

Review: Atlantis 8057: Wreck Raider
JimBee replied to MayTheBricksBeWithYou's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks for the review! This looks a like a good set to start with for Atlantis- it's cheap, it outlines the basic design of the "good guy" vehicles, and includes the new diver minifig and a monster fig. There's not much else to this set, but I'm really liking all of these new parts this year- for all themes. Also, may I suggest you try the Reviewers Academy to hone your reviews? I can see already that you have knack for it. -
VBBN made this nice tutorial about Flickr yesterday. Yes, it is free. The free version does not have as much storage as the Pro version (19.99 USD a year I think), but I have found the free version to be more than adequate as a photo hosting site. What do you mean "follow tens of groups to get to Lego"? You mean you're looking for a Lego Flickr group? There's plenty more than one, so you'll have to be specific. If you're looking for Lego pictures, there is a search function. And if you want to keep track of fellow Lego fans and their creations, there's a contact feature. I really don't get why so many people hate Flickr. It's never crashed (to my memory), or even had any hiccups. You get a 100 MB upload allowance per month (which is at least 150 photos). There's a 200 picture limit on how much you can have on your photostream, but you can always reupload if you need pictures on there. Uploading is fast, and deeplinking is a breeze. Your profile is completely customizable, and your pictures are automatically resized (you can choose from multiple sizes when deeplinking including thumbnail size), and the site is up-to-date (in design and performance) and easy to use. Did I mention that all of the above was FREE? Yup, that's an awesome deal. So at least give it a chance- Flickr is a great site to keep your photos, and you can live without fear of a crash or plagiarism (you can't copy images or image locations from pics that aren't yours).

Here's an idea- perhaps you told the infected night killer not to so it would look like Rok is infected. It's a definite fact that there are two night killers. One of them didn't kill last night. Rok did attack last night. Why wouldn't the uninfected killer attack? Maybe you're not a roleblocker at all, and you got the information from one of your goons. Yeah, that sounds reasonable. Vote: Lt. Anderas/ Shadows

Wow, nice MOC here. I really love the shape of it, and the sleekness. The inverted middle part on the front adds some variety to it, and the duo-windshield idea is fantastic. I also like the engines with the trans-blue and the trans-red cheese slopes for rear lights.

Black Friday 2009 discussion thread
JimBee replied to Darth Legolas's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
She got you one in August last year and you're just getting it this year? Yeah, I think mine did. I wasn't paying attention today, but I'm pretty sure there were 5 or 6 of them when I went last week. Yeah, well it would've helped if I had known about that. Really? That's cool, did you two plan it out? -

So did anyone get anything? I got up at 4 AM, waited in line at Target for a half hour (in very cold temperature), and then quickly walked to the Lego aisle to grab a Temple of the Crystal Skull set. Luckily, I got the first one (judging from the condition of the shelves), and got out, all limbs still attached. It was crazy in there, though. People running, ramming each other with their carts, pushing, shoving... much worse then last year. I probably won't go next year unless there's an amazing deal. But I'm glad I got my "Christmas present". -
Happy Birthday JD! Get many rattling boxes.

Hmm... judging from these pictures (and I say that this is my analysis- not the positive answer, Michael), that the first figure was a killer, the second was a roleblocker, and the third was Barney, the investigator. But, revealing yourself to everyone, Barney... quite a risky move. You really painted a target on your back- for what? To blame Michael? We already found out that you were wrong with Sarah- but you said you got weird results, and talked about an infected baby of hers yesterday. You may have good intentions about wanting to find your sanity- ad I do trust you- it's just that it seems like you want to plant the targets on Michael and Engofi. I'm not saying you are but let's say you're infected. That would mean both Engofi and Michael are both clean, and by the time we figured it out, both of them would be voted off. What makes me say this is the willingness on your part to reveal your role. Why paint a target on your back? Why do it just to find your sanity? I do trust you- but this makes no sense. By the way, some of us are awfully quiet. Where have Wicwa, Ivan, Varax, and Niwrard been?

Infection - Confirmation & Discussion

Hey Shadows, you still interested in those McD's promos? I know your last PM didn't work, so I figured it might happen again. (I didn't want to bother you with another PM).
