Happy Birthday, Penguin! Do me a favor and don't get any Lego. Your CIS army is big enough!

Happy Birthday, Peppermint_M! Get lots of Lego, and have a wonderful day.

Alright, alright. My mistake. So the journal. Mm-hmm. Well, you give me no other reason to suspicious of you, so I'll believe you for now. But I wonder if you ransacked the rooms just to throw suspicion on myself and Clarence. Perhaps you're hiding it somewhere. Can't we just let Amelia keep it? I trust her over most of you, and putting it in the hands of a trained military man, one who actually knows how to shoot a gun, is wise? I don't trust Baker, either... Excellent deduction on our clues so far, Amelia. They all make sense, which would make Frassier a prime suspect. But Arthanhart? I trust Florence more than you currently. I can't take either side right now, but I suggest you calm down before you make yourself overly-suspicious.

That's good to hear. I think I will be content with show taking Lost's place, but a review in the paper revealed that the producers are planning on having virtually every mystery solved, except for the reason why the blackout was caused, by the end of the season. They also said that they hoped that the show could live off of this last riddle for a few more seasons. Hopefully, more riddles will pop up in the future seasons, because it would be pretty boring with just one. You can usually find full TV episodes on megavideo.com. They're quality sometimes isn't the best, but at least they don't just have half of an episode. This weeks episode should be interesting. It's really good to see Dominic Monaghan in this show. I loved his acting in Lost and X-Men Origins.

Happy Birthday to you three, have nice day. However, is it really necessary to create b-day topics for members like these? Nothing against them, it's just that one of them only has a single post, and the other two haven't been active for a while (jas's last log in was last December). It's nice that you started a B-day topic for them, but I don't think they'll notice if they never come here anymore.

I thought the "rifle" served as both the pistol and the rifle. They have the same stats... I guess I'll retake again. I knew the long ones were snipers, and the short ones pistols at least.
-
I saw this a few weeks ago. Nothing all that exciting, but I would get it for the collectible printed tiles. Maybe they'll be worth something in 10 years.
-
No problem. Nope, he's holding a pistol. Sorry, I didn't realize that it was a straight-on shot of the gun. Are you still planning on doing a demo game?
-
Alright, thank you for the explanation, I find it plausible. And yes, the person knocked out was Clarence, and yes he was muttering to himself about Amelia. She punched him in the basement to protect herself. That sounds reasonable enough, but there's still a chance that you killed him. I can't really say for sure, but I'll be keeping an eye on you. Well, thanks for ransacking my room without asking. I have no idea what book you're talking about. Wait, how would you know that the murder was committed with a shotgun or a rifle? The photos look to me to show that Rudy was killed with a hatchet.
-
This is most disturbing... judging from the pictures, I'd say that the first person to sit down was Arthanhart, confronted by Clarance. Arthanhart knocked him out, then walked away. Later, Rudy walked in, and was killed. Clarence woke up, found him dead, then ran away. I'm pretty certain Clarence did not commit the murder. Also, I was informed that Clarence was knocked out by Thomas. I rushed to the foyer to see Clarence, only to see Rudy's dead body. When I came back to my room, I found it ransacked. Thomas, would you mind telling me why you sent me to check on Clarence when you could have stayed with him yourself? Perhaps you killed Rudy, after Clarence was knocked out, or maybe you sent me on a wild goose chase so you could ransack my room. Maybe you did both. Either way, you have some explaining to do.

Happy Birthday Hinckley, Mr, Mandalorian and Mr Spielbrick
JimBee replied to Professor Flitwick's topic in Community
Happy Birthday, Hinckley. Don't get wacked, and make sure the Walrus gives you lots of Lego. And Happy Birthday to Mr. Mandilorian, as well. Congrats on becoming an official AFOL. -
Okay, here's a few close-ups of my CIS army:

Whew, good. Looking forward to more of those funny lines. Oh, well good job on providing those. I've always wondered- do you record the SFX off of the movies, or are they on your movie editing software? Nah, I think he sounds more like a creeper. "Hey, want to come with me?" "SURE!" Can't wait! Also, one other line that couldn't stop laughing at: "Gweat, now we have to save BOWTH of them!" "Let's do this!"
-
Sure, I can do both of those, pics later today. Greivous doesn't gain extra skill points if he has more lightsabers, right?

Oh, sorry, I'm only familiar with their online store. Like I said, different stores in different countries often get limited edition set deals with TLG. If this isn't the case, then I'm not sure what it is. Sorry.
-
Heh, sorry this took so long to reply to, I just noticed it now. Thanks for the additional tips, I will continue to try your methods every time I head back to the Lego store. Last time I went, when I got that cup, it took about a half-hour to pack it. It's going to be a full hour next time.

I saw an Airplane set from the same brand that made that White House set in a museum gift shop... The set designs are so simplistic that I wouldn't doubt that a four-year-old came up with them, and the minifigs are horrendous! It beats me why anyone would buy those over Lego. However, I have to admit that the Halo sets from Megabloks caught my eye a couple of times while visiting the building toys aisle. I never really liked the Halo games all that much, but I know enough to recognize vehicles and characters. The set designs for these are pretty sweet, I especially like the small alien ship. The use of <insert that tiresome argument> parts is questionable, and the minifigures and monotone, single-part weapons are cheap, I actually might buy one of these. Lego is still better in all aspects though, IMHO. Nothing has, or most likely never will, come close to Lego in terms of quality.

OLD Mafia and Mystery Games Index
JimBee replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
That's great, because now people have the chance to post before voting begins, no matter what their time zone. I'm still kind of worried about being voted off quickly (without having an argument before I get convicted). It happened to me in Noir, and to Hinck in MCII. Oh well, I suppose there's no fair way to prevent this... Thank you very much! I noticed it earlier today, and was pleasantly surprised. I'll live up to it in future games. -
So there's this new drama show from ABC called FlashFoward. It's about this incident in which the whole world blacked out simultaneously for exactly 2 minutes and seventeen seconds, causing mass destruction. But more importantly, every person had a vision of the future, and each vision took place at the exact same time in the future. The show is mainly about an FBI branch office trying to solve the intriguing mysteries of the blackout: why it happened, who or what caused it, if the FlashForwards will come true... among other riddles. It's turned out to be a great show so far, ABC is on the fifth episode now in America. If you haven't already, and you're interested in these kind of shows (this is similar to LOST), I highly suggest you tune in on Thursdays (check the paper for times), or if it doesn't air in your area, watch episodes online. So, I am wondering who else watches this, and what you think of the show so far, as well as your thoughts on the mysteries and such. Also, beware of spoilers.

The online store? Perhaps they were secondhand, or they had a special deal with TLG. Do you live in the U.S.? Limited Edition sets availability has been known to vary between countries. The way I see it, Limited Edition and Exclusive Edition sets are just a clever way of bringing in a little more profit each year. TLG markets them as rare items that you won't find anywhere else except the specified store (and online, of course) for a limited time (which is true). In return, they jack up the prices by quite a bit. For example, last year's Homing Spider Droid (SW) was a Toys R Us exclusive in the U.S. While it was about the size and value of a $20 set, I think it was sold at $35.

Thanks, Kim and Stash, take a break. For a future contest, I would still like to see a "Kill the second-most annoying SW character" contest. Yes, that would be Ashoka. Well, she's not really annoying, but I don't really like the character, and I would love to kill her in a vig.
-
Excellent work on the second part, JD. ;I can tell you spent a lot of time on this. My favorite aspects include the sound effects, and the light behind the portal. I still can't help laughing at some of the lines. My character still has a mixture of Ukrainian, British, and American accents, and you made Thok especially funny. "Anyone want to help JD? Anyone?" "Alright, *sigh* fine, I suppose I'll do it". Sorry if you didn't mean for some of the parts to funny, I know it might be hard to voice act. Great presentations once again, I'm looking forward to more.

Happy Birthday, Thrash, have a good one. I haven't seen you around here lately, perhaps you're just busy with more Castle MOCs?
-
What a pleasant surprise, thank you very much! I'll see if I can make room in my sig for it, but it'll definately be in there soon. EDIT: You wouldn't mind if I shrunk it a bit, would you? The mods aren't really big on excessive sigs.
