Red Moon Confirmation & Discussion thread
JimBee replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
AhWhoah! What's that? Speak up, will you? Jack Braxton, Navy veteran. I don't like any of you, so don't be asking for help when the security guard doesn't. Hey, a fellow sailor. I like that. We best stick together, boy. EDIT: Baxter. My name is Baxter, not Braxton. The war was not good to me. -
Yeah, now get back to work! I'd like to play please. Not only will I see how this turns out with two hosts, I will get a taste of Noir all over again. Now where's Hinckley and his Red Moon character list...

Good attempt, but I think you could do a bit more to make this recognizably "Christmas-y". The only X-mification I can see is a Santa and some neutral-colored crates, which don't even pertain to the set itself, so this MOC barely counts for the category you want it to compete in. A few adjustments you can make to this entry include (IMO): - At least make the presents look like traditional presents- the tan and brown crates might relate to the set colors, but the idea of this contest is to make the set have Christmas colors. So a good start would be to make some fun-colored present boxes. - Recolor the set. It doesn't look like you made any changes whatsoever to the Sandcrawler, so I would suggest you throw in some green, red, and white colored pieces in in place of some brown ones. - Add something creative. Presents and a Santa fig can only get you so far, you should consider adding more Christmas-y things, and even go out of your way to do something extra creative with the set. Those are my suggestions to you, so please just consider them. Good luck anyways.

You could give whatever you win to me! Also, I noticed that Svelte's Victorian Christmas Village MOC is the backdrop for the calendar. Very nice.

Yes, I like those two as well. I'd even say that TT is my favorite American-Anime. If DBZ isn't American. Some more facts: - My favorite color is black (yes I call it a color in this instance). - I always, always, always wear a baseball hat. I don't really care what team or what country it's from, as long as it fits me well. When I come to Brickworld next year, if you're going, look out for my signature red Bahamas hat. - I have been out-of-country twice, both times to Europe. Between the two trips, I have been to Germany, Austria, Slavania, and Italy (Venice, Chinqua Terra, Tuscany). - I have been to 14 states (Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Texas, Georgia, Florida, Pennsylvania, California, Arizona, Oregon, New Mexico, Kansas, Iowa, and Nevada). - I have no siblings, or even known cousins, which is probably the main factor of why I prefer to work alone, and be alone most of the time. I have friends that I hang out with on a regular basis, but The majority of my free time is spent alone. - I'm very concerned with my looks. I wear the same kind of clothes every day (jeans, T-shirt, light jacket, and a hat). - I have curly, poofy hair. - I don't really watch TV that much besides regular shows on local channels. I don't have cable, so if I want to watch a cable show I have to do it online. LOST, Castle, V, and FlashForward are it. - I enjoy video games, but play them sparingly. If I'm alone, I sometimes will play a Legend of Zelda game or an occasional online match of Mario Kart. - I own one pet, a calico cat, Fluffball. She's the only pet I ever had besides fish. - I like music. A lot. I usually prefer the radio or my iPod, but sometimes l use YouTube, especially when writing reviews (Lego or otherwise). I listen to a wide variety of rock, metal, alternative, grunge, and soft rock. My favorite band is Linkin Park. Another thing about being a lefty... I hate how everything has to be specialized, even when most companies who produce things that lefties have a hard time with don't even bother to specialize them. Because of this, I've adapted to cutting with my right (but that's the only thing I do with my right hand). If you put a cup on my right side, I will reach over to grab it with my left. Nope, JimButcher is a nickname. You can find the full story if you dig through the What's in a Name thread. And no, it's not after Jim Butcher the novelist. Haha, maybe you can "lend" me one of those. One of my neighbors always gets a fancy sports car every two or so years. In the past six years, he's had a white Corvette Z06 (or C5, I couldn't tell the difference by looking), an orange C6, and some new, really awesome car that I haven't actually seen yet. I'd guess it's one of those new ZR1 models. Nah, I think mine's pretty fun. We're working with a CAD program called Inventor, which is really neat. Just like everyone else our age.

never mind, I have it in my head that the infected could infect other players. Alright, alright, you're right. And five in Noir, plus Hinck turned. And yes, I meant AwesomeStar.
-
Me too. I wonder why lefties always get hand cramps, though? 'Nuff said. Same. So that starts me off... Yep, my name is Nick, and I live in Wisconsin. No, I am not a hick, or a cheesehead, or anything else people call Wisconsinites. And yes, people do live in Wisconsin, so don't listen to Phred. I'm not really into sports, never have been, but I love sports cars, my favorite being any kind of Corvette. I hope to own a Z06 someday. I'm a freshman in high school, and want to go to college to study to become an engineer... I don't know what kind yet, but architectural sounds like something I'd like. I just changed my age on EB a few months ago. I lied about it when I first joined because I was nervous about what people would think of a thirteen-year-old (my age when I joined) on an 18+ website. But I have since realized that there are many people my age here, like Erds or Inconspicuous. That's all I can think of right now, I'll post more later.

That was quick... we were all fighting with each other while the infected reaped the rewards... megabluck. *cough* He actually did kill Darkness Falls based on mine and Dillon's accusations. Thanks very much. Five. Me, you, Shadows, Reckless Cop, and Legois. And later Hinckley. I do think six is a lot. That's almost a third of all of the 21 players, and considering the special privileges of the scum (knowing who's on their side, enhanced night actions, teamwork), we barely stood a chance. I remember in the Noir conclusion, TinyP said that he thought the five that he assigned to scum was too much. Might've been unintentional "metagaming". I did the same thing in Noir- I decided to kill Draggy because he was good, and hey, whaddya know, he has a night action.

Whoops, I accidentally voted "No!" because I thought you were talking about CW eyes vs. dots. If I could, I would change my vote to "I could care less" because like Oky Wan said, one square millimeter of white doesn't change much for me. Dots eyes will be good ol' dots eyes, as long as they're not CW faces. Actually, I haven't noticed that the eyes have changed. Could someone please provide a pic of one and tell what year this changed?

Thanks for the link, Kim! Now this is what I like to see in SW sets. All of the sets in this wave give off a nice "classic" vibe, and remind me of when ROTS sets were just coming out. I really like all of them, except for he GG Fighter. The shape is so very diffferent from the last version, and I don't think a new version is needed within three years of the old one. From the blurry pic, the new Greivous looks pretty good, but we'll see how it compares to the original... I really did like that one. The Plo Koon Fighter is pretty nice, very similar to DutchRebel's MOC. But this is the... fourth Delta-7 now? The ship is getting old, and I don't even own one. I would get it if it came with a different Jedi, though. The re-release of alien Jedi is nice for people who missed out on the JSF w/ Hyperdrive Ring and the RGS, but I already have both of those, and I was really looking forward to a Ki-Adi Mundi sometime soon... But at least we get Aayla... is that her in the Turbo Tank? Now all we need is a proper Luminara, and a Shaak Ti and Mundi. I could care less for Saesee Tinn, but one of him would be nice too. I think I'll get all of these except for the Slave 1, as nice as it is. Does Han have a new torso? And Boba with a new helmet?

Nice work, it's obvious these are built with lots of creativity. My favorites would be the Magnaguard Fighter and the two Vulture droids. But why did you make GG's fighter black? -
All jokes aside, the description (providing you read it after fainting) says it's about a lunar eclipse. During one, the moon often turns red or brown from the sun's rays. Lunar Eclipse Solar Eclipse
-
I'm , too! Pleasantly surprised! Put me down for consideration, please. This one sounds interesting... red moon? Spooky!

This isn't from a movie or TV, but I thought I'd post it here anyway. I was reading the comics in the newspaper, and saw this hilarious Foxtrot comic, which had Lego in it: Not only was there Lego, but I liked the "Pearls Before Swine" play on words style.

Yes, I would like this theme back very much. I only got two sets (Marauder's Map and Knight Bus), and I loved them both. The theme provided good parts in sand green and tan, and with the Knight Bus, a ton of purple. Plus, I really liked the figures. I would definately like them to re-make some sets, and instead of making a fourth Hogwarts, I think they should sell the rooms and other parts of the castle individually like they did for the first few years. And a re-marketed Hogsmeade would be awesome.

You guys already knew my secret- I worked with the mafia for my own personal gains. Yeah, I was corrupt after all.
-
Er... I was way off. I thought Striker was the killer. To be fair, I jumped in halfway through this game, and wasn't really paying attention. I had to constantly ask Hewkii for help. But good game, everyone, and thanks for letting me play, Zeph. One question though- what do you mean, you tried to fair? You didn't decide who got killed each night, did you?

Infection - Confirmation & Discussion

Ugh, yet another day without conviction. I shouldn't be complaining because that situation saved me, but it looks like everyone loses in the game. -

Very cool. I like how you have some of the air vehicles hung on your wall- but isn't that dangerous? I would hate to have to keep rebuilding them if the fell. Only? I have a total of seven from all six BPs (one each except for the first clone BP). -
Only? Yeah, I was right on the only known infected. And how many infected have you tried to get rid of? None. Flo-rent-zee-ah. Do I need to jump up and do a little dance for you while singing my name? ( ) We're not getting anywhere if we don't actually vote someone off. My advice, if you want it: don't vote for Ivan. He's been pretty useless in this predicament, and I can't say much about his alliance, but think about it: Michael and/ or Susan have both been vital players in voting the last two uninfected off. We could very possibly be falling into another trap. Vote for Michael, or vote for Susan. I can almost guarantee one of them is infected. My vote still stands for Michael.

Infection - Confirmation & Discussion

You just had to ruin it, didn't you? I suppose I've heard "Antares" used before but I don't remember where. -
Shut your megablocks, Michael. I'm sick of hearing you run your mouth on and on and on, just to confuse us. You could've had Suze dead, many people voted for her. But what happened to you killing yourself over her? Let's see, so now you want to vote off Khrum. It just so happens that I trust half the people on that little list of yours, and I happen to know that I'm uninfected. Spreading confusion, spilling secrets about roles... Antares does being up a good argument, too. Looks like basic scum behavior to me. Vote: Michael Sheridan/ Hinckley And now you want to vote Susan off again. Make up your mind.

Infection - Confirmation & Discussion
JimBee replied to Quarryman's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yes, the new movie. In the movie, a ship named The Antares was mentioned, and one of the technical officers (with a Russian accent) on board the Enterprise was mistakenly called Cheipo by the original Captain. I think his real name was Cheko. -
Ha, you may call me a follower, but I am going to go with Michael. Susan, you are a liar, and I have seen that very clearly since the start of the infection. The quotes that Michael has pulled up from the security logs reflect my thoughts on you. You say you've been mislead, and you've made mistakes. Yet you've actually lead most of these votes on innocent people. You can't just do this, and then say "oops". *Cough* and while Michael did that exact same thing to me on days 2 and 3, I've long since realized his mistake, and I feel that he just wanted to do something, as did I on day 2. He was in contact with several of our key crew members, yes, and did reveal Barney's secret, yes... I'm stumped. None of this makes any sense for one side, and I'm not quite sure which side that is. Please give me a moment to think about this, I will look at the records from past days in this crisis, and gather what evidence I can.
