  1. Has anyone posted the Han/ Ewok/ Scout magnet set yet? I know we've already seen the Separatist magnet set. It appears that the Ewok is indeed Paploo. (From ToysnBricks) I'm not too excited for either of these, since I already have them all (except Palpy... not that I want to have nightmares), but I'm looking forward to the Taintive IV magnet set- a chance to get Ackbar and Leia without forking over 110 USD. There goes the worth of the Leia fig...

  3. Guys, for clarification, you can't just choose what rank you are. I've seen this a couple times, and you always start at youngling.

  7. I voted Boba, but not Greivous. The new Boba looks fine to me, there's nothing wrong with a detailed print (these kind of detailed torsos have been present for decades). GG, on the other hand, is horrible, IMHO. Sure, he's as accurate as can be, but that's not really what I want to see in my minifigs (sets themselves are a different story). Lego has always done their best while remaining fairly simplistic. Of course, with time advancements must be made, but I feel that something like this is too far of a leap, and maybe even something that I never want to see at all from Lego. Leave it to the action figures to be detailed, and at least make Lego figures recognizable as... minifigs. I'll stick with the old GG, so at least I still have that. However, with the choice of the design for the new fig, one more copy of this set will remain on shelves.
  8. Excellent! I kept on scrolling back up and down to compare each little square inch of the mosaic to the original screen. Nicely done, very accurate as far as I can tell. I especially like the lips, good use of mixing reds with brown for a realistic result. A little piece of constructive feedback, though. I'm not sure I like that spot where the makeup has worn off- it kind of took my attention away from the rest of the mosaic. I would've just left the brown out of there, but that's just me. I agree with the others who said that it looks extremely realistic when I take a step back from my screen. I've always wondered how this was done. Did you put the image underneath a grid the size of the plate, then built by color? I think I might steal this as a background... if that's alright with you.
  9. Quick, blur it out, blur it out! I'm pretty sure it wasn't available to regular members before now. I just noticed it because it was out of place, ie not normal. It's only in the PM center, though, so maybe I missed it all this time.
  10. No one was making up facts or stating any. They were all just speculation, and I don't remember anyone saying that they were for sure randomized. Scarce? That's a shame, but what would the point be to make all of the new molds and prints just to have them not be widely available? I'm pretty sure the giant retailers like Toys R Us, Target, etc. will keep stock of these sets, even if they get cleared out quickly. And you can bet on the fact that the online sellers will hoard these on the day of their release and sell them for exponential amounts. Not that that's anything new, we see this every time a new a set comes out. I don't think they're "shady", though, because it's perfectly legal to do something like that. If I can't get these as soon as they're released, I'll just sit back and wait for the hype to die down, and check for availability when I can. Good luck to anyone who's buying these off of BL.
  11. I just noticed something- if I click a member's username, I have the option to forward PMs to anyone. Is this a new feature? Pretty helpful since non-fellow and non-staff members can't use the CC function.
  12. Thanks, this helps a lot! Could you please reserve for me... 7115 Gungan Patrol 1x 7113 Tusken Raider Encounter 4756 Shrieking Shack (depends on how much you want for it, though). 4762 Rescue from the Merpeople (again, depends on cost)
  13. Neat! Although I would want Lego to stay with the originals, these would make for very nice displays. Personally, I would just hold on to them. 5 USD is... moderately expensive for most single parts, and you can never know whether or not people will buy customs. Does BL allow non-Lego to be sold on-site? I think they would be better in your displays/ MOCs, anyway. Make your mark on them.
  14. I'm not sure about resales and everything like that, but I'm pretty sure the most expensive set priced by Lego was the UCS Millennium Falcon, which had a retail price of 500 USD. That's a lot for gray plastic.
  15. I didn't even see Series 2 before, nice! It was a tough choice between the Mime, Pharaoh, and Vampire, but in the end I chose the Mime. Looks like such a great figure, and the printed arms are something new. Huge props to Lego for doing this, I could care less for the "Chinese" quality as long as I can't see the difference, rather than know it.
  16. I might be interested, but could you please put the set names in? I don't memorize set numbers, and don't feel like looking every single one up.
  17. New server? I can't tell the difference by looking, but I guess that's not what matters. Anyway, I couldn't log on for some time, until now. Are members slowly getting access at different times?
  18. Of course! Why else do you think I agree with you on every single Bond film? Speaking of which, I got through most of the Bond films in a row (I've seen all at least once), From Connery to Dalton. So here's a quick summary of what I think. First, there will never be anyone as good as Sean Connery as far as Bond goes. He was the first and best, and all of his films have that classic Bond vibe to them- the cars, witty comments, and gadgets, as well as the plots, are all trailblazers for the future movies. George Lazenby wasn't really as good as a Bond, but his only movie, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, was one of the best, IMO. It's the only one where Bond was married, which contributes to the personality of Bond as a whole character. The ending was amazing, too. Roger Moore I could say was a good Bond, and I'm glad for all of the things that stayed similar to the first films (as said above with Connery). My favorites out of the bunch being Live and Let Die and The Man With the Golden Gun, I think these two had the most original plots (out of the seven Moore films). The former because it takes place primarily in America (which is a nice change of pace), and the latter because of Christopher Lee and the awesome assembly gun and shoots-out... just amazing. Finally, out of the two Dalton films, only License to Kill was good (which is my favorite Bond film). However, The Living Daylights was pretty boring, having that annoying actor Joe Don Baker, who's also in two other Bond films. So yeah, Bond films... good movies. I look forward to completing the series, all in order.
  19. Ah, thanks. That's confusing... I remember playing "A Link to the Past" (no "Zelda II") on GBC or GBA, and I agree that it's pretty great, a good trailblazer for future birds-eye Zelda games. Thanks for the link. I skimmed over it, but I'll take a closer look tomorrow. Sounds interesting.
  20. Nope, although I plan to. I haven't even seen all of Pulp Fiction, just clips. From the clips that I've seen, Fifth Element seems pretty stupid (in nicer words, not my sense of humor). I;m not familiar with Armageddon, though, so I might see it soon. I think he was just kidding.
  21. I'd agree. The one thing I liked best about WW when I played it for the first time (around 2004, I think), was that I could never tell the difference between a dungeon's start and the open world exploration. I didn't even know what a temple was at that time, but usually I dread having to go through [tough] temples. I just like open exploration that much better. And agreed on the OoT water temple. I missed one key, so I had to go back and change the water levels again, which basically started the temple over again. I'll definitely give it a try, but won't set my expectations too high. And those kind of things really make it worth playing- it's not an exact replica of OoT, though it borrows a lot from it (order of temples, Gorons, Zoras...). Zelda II? From what I've heard, that's the worst one. It's RPG/ level-up style mixed with Zelda sounds pretty cool, though.
  22. Happy Birthday, Ras!
  23. I suppose you're right- five figs for under 20 USD is great. But I was going more on the amount of pieces and what else you get. Not counting new prints, this set would be about the same size as a SW battle pack. Not to turn this into a price rant, though, it's still a good set, just a little more expensive than it should be/ would've been if there wasn't so much hype, IMO.
  24. Er, that's great and all, but no need to post it twice. You're not going to get a reply to every comment you make. I agree that the sets a pretty expensive for what you get (especially the Quittich one), but do the molds cost that much to make? Anyway, I think Bellatrix's hair just might be the best hairpiece ever. It's so... big and poofy, and the design is so intricate. I look forward to making my female figures more unique with this.
  25. Just thought I'd bring this up before the new episode tomorrow- did anyone else notice the two kids in the Others' temple? The boy and the girl were taken by the Others way back in Season 2, when the front plane survivors met the back. I always wondered what happened to them. I still don't understand why these people are Others, though- we've never seen them until now. I wonder if they're Others at all... And are Rose and Bernard still camping out in the jungle by themselves? I know this was explained last season, but I wonder if they're off the show now (as far as current time is- not flashbacks).
