  1. Yay! Whew, that was probably the most intense duel I've fought, excellent fight, Pedro! Thanks for adjudicating the first half, brickme, and thanks for adjudicating the SD, Roncanator.
  2. Eh! No! A swastika! Burn it down! Is this some kind of sick joke, Willoughby? I'm not finding it funny. I'd like to arrange the blocks in the L-shapes described by the diagram on the floor, placing the grey where the north-most L would be, and going clockwise and placing those blocks in L shapes as I go down the list. If that doesn't work, I'd like to place a block in each of the alcoves, like the dashes are on the diagram. Starting with a grey block in each alcove on the north wall, then brown on the right, dark grey on the bottom, and tan on the left. [quote name='dannylonglegs' date='Jan 21 2010, 06:57 AM' post='666828'] I'd like to see if the Key we found earlier would fit in it. (I know I don't have the key, I'd just like to see if it would)[/i] Fine. I'd like to stick my key in the hole of the pillar under construction.
  3. I thought you said minifigures. There's a big difference between minifigures and... these things, at least for me. Well, if you feel about the sets that way (no nostalgia, just for display), then I would say go ahead with the Technic figures you have. But that's just me.
  4. My oldest set is the 384 (same as 760) London Bus:
  5. What sets/ figures did you have in mind? Maybe it would more helpful if you told us what those are. I guess it depends on the set and you opinion. Personally, if I was going to be rebuilding a nostalgic set, I would want it exactly the way it was when I first got it. It just wouldn't be the same for me if I used different figures. Whatever suits your budget and/ or opinion I would say. If $4 is really that much to you compared to your childhood memories... If I was in your place, there would be no hesitation to spend that $4 for the figs.
  6. Wow, that's quite a collection you have there. I wonder how much they're all worth? I would personally like to see some miniaturized versions of real sets, like the Cafe Corner legostein shared above. Especially classics, like Yellow Castle or Space Invader. I think that would be really awesome.
  7. Just noticed my new one: Reads With His Eyes Closed: This title doesn't make any sense. No idea where it came from, but I know a certain title-happy hypocrite gave it to me.
  8. Jim Butcher awaits the results of his epic battle with Kruss... patiently, ever so patiently. I'll adjudicate. Round 1, please. Round 1 Dar'vol'e vs. Magma Lightning-1/ High-0 High-0/ Parry-0 Parry-0/ Lightning-0 Push-1/ Parry-0 Low-1/ Low-0 Health: 5/ Health: 2 Using his awesome force powers, Dar'vol'e comes up in first. Will Magma hold his own against a Sith Lord? Round 2, please. Round 2 Dar'vol'e vs. Magma Battle Meditation-0/ Lightning-0 (This is now the final round). Push-1/ Parry-0 Parry-0/ Kick-1 Lightning-1/ High-0 Parry-0/ Parry-0 Health: 4/ Health:0 Magma manages to perform a kick attack, but is defeated quickly by Dar'vol'e! filip wins! Congrats to you, and better luck next time, Magma. Care to duel, filip? You're the only Master/Lord I haven't faced yet.
  9. Thanks for clearing this up, pedro, can you edit the first post with this so that adjudicators won't get mixed up? And please bold counters.
  10. Maybe we're supposed to put the colored rocks in their appropriate tiles somehow? We're missing one reddish brown one, sonny. I'd like to see what color Chris's rock is, and see if it's the same size/ shape as these on the floor. Eh... what? Could you be a little more clear with that? You got it, my boy. I told you this would come in handy: I'd like to sit down again and watch these landlubbers jump around on tiles.
  11. I made another comment about having rows. Last post, third page. Sorry if the old man's talking too fast for you. (No seriously, sorry if I'm posting talking too much). I'll stop hogging the puzzle now...
  12. Could I please put the rocks in the alcove like I said? (sorry if you missed it by accident). Eh, while ignoring the fact that the boy is too ignorant to realize that I am a lot older than the 70's... About the piece of paper... I think the shaded tiles indicate an impressed rock, like the kind Willoughby tried to mess with. I think the question mark is on the square in front of the left library. As for the red Xs and numbers and the letters below the map, I'm not sure... oh, and the 3x3 grey area must be the altar. And maybe we have to take a rock in put it in the "missing" piece spot. You can see that one from the picture with the statue. Eh.
  13. Firecrotch wants it. Don't burn it, kid. Oh, well thank you very much. Say that does look familiar... no wait, never mind. It doesn't. Wait! Okay, dark grey ones, tiles up on the bottom. Let's see, four tan, four light grey, and three brown left. I'd like to look at Chris's rock again and see if it is brown. If so, I'd like to stack the rocks in this order, starting from the bottom going up of the alcove where I place the dark grey bricks: row of light grey row of tan row of brown I think the pattern has to do with the pattern of the tiles on the floor...
  14. Remember, I have endurance, so my health should be 5.
  15. Okay, I'd like to grab the piece of paper, and hand it to anyone who thinks I've found enough clues. Then, I'd like to compare Stanton's gem with Chris's. Stanton, my boy, are you feeling sea-sick as well? Back in my day, we had this toy called Lego. Maybe we're supposed to build these blocks in the space behind them. I'd like to put the blocks, tiles up, in the empty space in the wall behind them so that the quarter-round matches the ones next to it. Then 'd like to sit back down.
  16. Nope, you're right, dust is a huge problem, especially by the windows. I have to dust them off every once in a while. That's an interesting idea. I imagine the boxes take up a lot of space though, especially the Temple of the Crystal Skull one. Sorry to disappoint. However the title did say your collection, so I guess this is more of a "post your collection thread" than "my layout" thread. I look forward to any MOCs any of you might have, though, and I might attempt one or two of my own... I saw a Last Crusade library that looked pretty inspiring.
  17. Off in the distance, at Theed Palace, Master Butcher is protecting the Queen of Naboo. She needs to make it safely to Coruscant without any Separatist interference. Getting ready for take-off, Jim does his regular radar scan while on the royal chrome cruiser in the hangar. He spots a blip, moving quickly towards the palace... While waiting for a duel, could you please adjudicate for Pedro and I?
  18. Good question. Answer: You just don't. Have you ever mixed... (insert bad combination here)? Mixing the two bothers a lot of people, especially those who are biased towards one or the other. They just don't belong. If you really want to mix the two, then fine, but don't expect to get too much positive feedback. I agree that there are good flesh heads and good yellow heads. The main problem with this is that while I have a wide array of yellow male heads, I only have two different yellow female heads. And while I have plenty of female flesh heads, my male flesh heads are limited to Indy and SW. There's also the racial thing, but that's another can of worms...
  19. I knew someone would point that out. What's " " about that? Those are probably my favorites since they go together the best, I think. Thank you. I am missing a few: - The Lost Tomb (my deepest regrets that I didn't grab one while I could) - Peril in Peru (as jamtf mentioned. It's not my most desired since it's non-canon, but I wouldn't mind having that brick-built plane). - Chauchilla Cemetery - Brickmaster exclusive jeep That list won't exist for long, though. Something I'm always running out of. Don't be mistaken, there are plenty of SPIII, Atlantis, Power Miners, and Castle sets laying on the floor. And that's why I asked if you still had your Desert Layout (in the Mexican Village topic). Those layouts were so awesome, but at least I have the Village to look forward to. I also look forward to seeing some pictures of Indy collections.
  20. Thanks, Hinck! Although I would've enjoyed something to do on EB this weekend, I'm glad it's up now. The pace is fine for me.
  21. I'm willing to adjudicate any duels in the meantime.
  22. Climb the scaffolding? Why would you want to do that? What a rowdy bunch o' hooligans you are. To be honest, I don't feel so good... I'm going to sit down and wait for the eclipse. Yes, I would like to sit down on the ground and find inner peace while everyone else turns over stones and climbs ancient artifacts. Actually, I would like to sit over there by the door to the ceremonial room. And maybe get a look at what's inside.
  23. ? No need for Sudden Death- Esk won. SD only happens when we're tied. Thans for adjudicating, though.
  24. Yep, Esk is right. Endurance gives me 1 extra health. So my total to begin with was six. And I didn't see that you're editing your post... sorry about that. Sneding actions now.
  25. Haha, very funny. Great way to twist an old story into something of your own with an art such as Lego. .
