  1. Entry 2: Somehow the scripts for Prince of Persia and Clash of the Titans got mixed up, resulting in Io/ Tamina fighting a giant scorpion parrot, and Persues having a less-than-graceful, flightless steed.
  2. Entry 1: With lack of material for Prince of Persia 3, Disney began to wonder if basing movie series off of video games and amusement park rides was such a good idea.
  3. This looks like one of the better sets of the wave- I really like the sleekness of it. The new Anakin and Palpy figures are really nice, too. I can see many uses for that pilot head, as well... Thanks for the review!
  4. The vote tally is as follows: Ellen Allison: 4 (Zapper Brick, Shadows, BobTCM, Sandy) Seth Diaz: 5 (Svelte, The Legonator, Def, Rick, Flitwick) No conviction was reached today, and it is now Night. Please send in any night actions to Ricecracker.
  5. It is figurative. Please ignore that.
  6. It has now been 24 hours since the game day started. You may now vote.
  7. Well, it's very nice and all, but I just don't understand why you would need a site like this. I remember SirNadroj had something similar, and my thoughts were the same back then. Showcasing your creations like this is nice, but isn't your Flickr and websites like these enough? Well, good luck to you and your site anyway.
  8. Psh, way ahead of you guys. I had this one built for over a week now. I guess he's a wanderer of some sort. He carries a katana, a short sword, and a knife.
  9. Great review and all, KimT, but hasn't anyone else noticed- you used a magenta based plate for a background! Thanks for the review. I suppose this is pretty nice set- the figures are fantastic, and the new parts probably make this worth the buy. The set itself is pretty lackluster, but I guess that doesn't matter much. This gets an Outstanding from me.
  10. Late in the night, Icarus Carter was sneaking towards someone's tent. He needed to know if he could trust them... Just then, a dark figure approached from behind. "Hey, you shouldn't be snooping around like that at night. It's dangerous, and you could get hurt", it said. Icarus jumped with a start, and began sprinting away. The figure chased after, a hatchet (presumably from the plane wreckage) in hand. Suddenly, Icarus stumbled, and fell to the ground. His pursuer caught up to him, and did not hesitate to do what it had come for. It lifted its hatchet high, and let it fall to Icarus' body, making a thumping noise as it made contact with his torso. The murderer fled, leaving Carter to bleed out in the sand. Later that night, Bella Teller walked out of her and Brain's makeshift shelter. She began walking along the beach, away from the camp. "I just can't stand this", she said to herself. "I need to get off this island, and all of this talk of killing people... is just making it worse!". Just then, however, she heard quick footsteps coming towards her. She started turning around, but the cause of the footsteps was quicker. Another figure had a handgun out and ready, and shot her before she got a glimpse of her killer. The gunshot was loud, but Bella had walked far from the camp, and no one was disturbed. The culprit sprinted away, just in case there was anyone around to investigate. Meanwhile, Patricia Rockford was sitting alone, near the shore. She was watching the waves roll in and out, thinking about her situation. Soon, yet another dark figure walked towards her. "Beautiful, isn't it?" it said, referring to the sea that Patricia seemed to be lost in. "Yeah", she said, without turning around. "You want to get off of this island, don't you?" asked the figure, stepping closer. "Yes, I do. I just want to get home, and be with Drake..." "Well, don't worry. You two will be seeing each other very soon, and you'll be very far from here..." The figure pulled a flexible tree branch from behind his back, and wrapped it around Patricia's neck. She struggled, trying to grasp the branch. But the figure was too strong, and it continued to strangle Patricia. She tried to gasp for air, but when none entered her lungs, she lost conciseness, and soon suffocated. The killer released his victim, and she fell to the ground, lifeless. Dawn was breaking, so the killer began walking back to his tent... In the morning, the survivors were awoken by a commotion on the beach. They heard screaming, and sobbing. Everyone rushed out of their tents to see what was going on. Drake Johnson was seen dashing towards Patricia's body. "No, no, no, no, no!" he sobbed. "This can't be happening, no! Everything I worked for, gone... NO!". He knelt down beside his lover's body. "My dear Patricia, this can't be. I tried to save us, I did, and everything I've done... it was all for nothing. I am so sorry" he cried. A few of the islanders tried to calm him down. "NO!" he screamed. "Stay away! I can't go on like this!". He quickly grabbed Patricia's emergency knife from her utility belt, looked at it, and stabbed himself in the mid-section. He screamed out in pain, and fell to the ground. He was dead. The survivors winced, and a few started to cry. A few minutes later, the bodies of Bella and Icarus were brought to the shore. It was a great loss. Four dead, and the survivors were still stranded. Later, the tents and belongings of the deceased were searched. They're sanity was determined. Bella, Icarus, and Patricia were all Sane. They had wanted to get off of the island and return to their lives at home, but the insanity had killed them. They were gone, but their attempts to escape would not be forgotten. However, Drake Johnson was found to be Insane. He loved Patricia so much that he was willing to kill innocent people just to live in a paradise with her. In the end, he only ended up killing both of them... The group decided it was time for action. Four of the twenty-one survivors died in one night, and it was time to flush out the Insanes before more people got hurt. The fight for survival must continue. The number of votes need for a conviction today is 9. You may not vote for the first 24 hours of this game day. The Rules: This game will follow the basic conventions of a Mafia Game. Each "day", you will be given 4 real days in which to vote for someone to kill. The day will end as soon as a majority decision is reached, or when the 4 days are up. If someone has been convicted, you will find out their loyalty shortly after end of the day. After this a night phase will begin, which will last 2 real days. Then the cycle will repeat. Those players with night actions must PM them to Ricecracker during the night phase. If we do not receive them within the two days, they will not be counted. - There will be two main sides in the game. Your winning criteria will be included with your character PM. - Voting is to be done in the day thread, and should follow the following format: Vote: Character (Player). Please note the use of bold. This is the only format that will be accepted. To unvote someone, the same applies: Unvote: Character (Player). - There is a 24 hour limit at the beginning of each day. You are not allowed to vote during this time. - You may not edit your posts. Violation of this rule may result in a moderator kill. - Please avoid posting out of character (OOC) in the game thread. - Do not ever directly quote something the game moderator(s) have sent to you via PM, whether it be your character information, night action results, or any other form of communication. Violation of this rule will result in a moderator kill. You may of course paraphrase any information you receive; if it is your own words then it is fine. - Do not discuss game tactics or "play the game" outside the game thread, including in the General Discussion thread. You may communicate privately via PM, but this is at your own risk, and should be considered part of playing the game. - Please be considerate towards the hosts. We will try our best to stick to the schedule, and your cooperation will help this greatly, particularly getting night actions in promptly. - There may be certain punishments for not reaching a conviction during the day. Said punishments are final, and are to be obeyed. (Rules borrowed from Dragonator's Mystical Castle). 11. That should be fine, thanks for letting us know in advance.
  12. Oh, wasted life! Nah, sigs are fine too. Just be sure to include your character's name as well, if you already haven't.
  13. There are currently no votes, and a few hours left in the day before night falls... (about 26 hours).
  14. Great work on the recent animations, JD! Very smooth flowing. I also liked the bloopers. My personal favorite was the Oky impression of Schwarzenegger.
  15. As Ricecracker said, of course it's okay. What we mean is that it's not okay to vote based on how the character looks. Just because because someone looks like a caveman (who knows, maybe they lost their clothes in the crash? ), doesn't mean they're Insane. Edit: Or were already on the island, Sane, or otherwise. In short, appearance doesn't state anything about a character having to do with alliances.
  16. Fruitcake? How about Frogurt? A few of the passengers whip out their cell phones. Incredibly, no signal can be found. It looks like everyone will just have to wait and stick to the plan until another search crew has found them.
  17. It was a lush, tropical island, that would've otherwise been a completely deserted paradise, a Utopia. A whitish sand beach was continuously drenched with the calm, rolling waves of the vast Pacific. An extremely dense jungle that occupied most of the island seemed void of human life, yet overflowing with the sound of tropical birds and other animals, as well as the beauty of palm tree and exotic plants digging their roots through the rich, dark soil. The sky was bright and clear, almost all of the time as seen from the small, unknown world. But on this day, a dark cloud rolled in, and would mark the beginning of the story of the survivors of Flight 518... The survivors of the crash of Flight 518 gathered on the beach of the island, after helping the wounded, finding loved ones, and building a makeshift camp until rescue. Many were still shaken and devastated by the crash, but everyone eventually gathered themselves to prepare to discuss what to do while waiting for rescue. One survivor stated, "We'll need food and fresh water!" Another offered to search the wreckage for food, and a few others decided to go as a group to search for water in the jungle. Another one asked, "Just where in the world are we?". One of the former flight staff members answered, "We must have been thrown off-course somehow. This is an uncharted island." A few of the passengers murmured. "What does that mean? Will they know how to find us?" one asked. However, before anyone could answer, a loud scream could be heard from the jungle, and several survivors sprinted to go investigate. To their horror, the only thing they found was a bleeding form of one of the survivors. It looked like she had been stabbed several times in the torso. Amazingly, she was still breathing. No one seemed to know who she was, but with her last breath, she whispered, "There are people on this island, among you as I speak. The person who attacked me... he said, 'This island is ours'. They're Insane, and will stop at nothing to prevent rescue. They believe... they believe that we were brought here by fate. That's what the attacker told me. They are hiding among you, and they will kill you. They will..." Before she could finish, she died. A few of the witnesses gasped in shock, others just looked at each other. They walked back to the beach camp, and explained the situation. "There are people on this island, among us." one said. "We don't know if they were passengers on the plane or not, but they apparently believe that we were meant to be here by some hand of fate. They're after us, every one of us, and they will kill us. We must fight for our lives, and make a stand. We must find out who's Insane, and stop them before people get hurt." The group discussed, and came to a consensus that a vote should be taken every day, to decide who to kill in order to save others. There were risks, but they agreed that by voting, eventually all of the Insanes would be killed, while the Sanes survived... Meanwhile, on a United States aircraft carrier, a signal is sent from the airport in California. The connection to flight 518 was just lost, and they need a Coast Guard crew to investigate. A helicopter with a crew of four sets out. The helicopter flies low over the ocean in search of any wreckage. Suddenly, on board the chopper, a red light turns on, and the alarm is sounded. The pilot and operator, Helen, quickly reacts, and tried to figure out what's wrong. The gauges and meters are all out of order, flashing on and off, measurements and data rapidly changing. The helicopter shakes, and Helen is thrown out of her seat. She tries to contact the three Coast Guard officers via a communications link, but it doesn't seem to be working. She looked out the window, just in time to see the ocean speeding towards the helicopter. In the hold, the officers exchange worried glances. But before anything could be said, the helicopter crashed in the water, and was swallowed by the ocean. The rest was a blur to the passengers, but eventually the three officers met at the surface. "Where's Helen?", one shouted. No one seemed to know, but the helicopter was too deep now to attempt to dive down. She was lost. It was a clear day, so the the three officers couldn't figure out why they had crashed as they floated and swam in hope of finding shore. A few hours later, their wishes were granted. The island that Flight 518 could be seen on the horizon. Soon, the officers crawled onto the beach, to meet the waiting plane crash survivors. "We found you", said one of the officers. The Coast Guard officers and the crash survivors exchanged stories, and the situation on the island was explained. Now is the time to act, before anyone gets hurt... 18. Big colorful letters just for you! Happy Birthday, Iz!!
  19. More like later this evening, given that a certain someone replies to my PMs *cough*
  20. Hah, very nice comic, def! Great illustrations, and it really made me laugh. It also made me think about some things you highlighted here... "The boys toys are over there with the pretend manual labor toys". Funny, but sad, too.
  21. While trying to comprehend all this computer talk, I'll answer these with as much (or as little...) knowledge about computers as possible. Yes, I knew they could run Windows, but that doesn't really make a difference for me. And while someone with your expertise could do something like that, the vast majority of Mac users probably can't "hack" their Mac very well. I dislike XP as well. I've been using it for about five years, and it's not very cooperative (with viruses and defragmentation, even if I have a program for the former). Vista wasn't much of an improvement, either. It felt like Windows just upped the graphics and such to make it look good. Otherwise, it was the same, IMO. Windows 7, though, is the most user-friendly and cooperative. I can't really explain it other than the fact that it's easier to use and understand without an expert's help.
  22. 3 points to fallentomato. No, not because he whacked me, because I owe him three matchsticks. And a point to Oky Wan. Making the most of eight square studs. Hopefully this isn't taken too seriously...
  23. I voted "I like them". I enjoy listening to my iPod Nano (3rd Gen) every single day, and iTunes is a very easy program to use. However, Macs will never replace PCs for me. Many programs don't work for Macs, and they're not as versatile. They're good for casual computer and intetnet users, and apparently amazing at avoiding viruses (?), but there's so much more you can do with a PC. The iPhone is, IMO, one of the best inventions of the decade, though. It's so easy to navigate, has fun apps, and I can browse my favorite websites with ease. I'll never be bored again. (Of course, many other phones can go on the Internet now with the same quality).
  24. Nah, I don't think so. I had every intention to enter, I even made the basic vig for my entry. But I just didn't have the time or parts to finish it. Sorry, Sieggy.
  25. Looks like Shadows made another tag, the Mystery Tag (I think that's what it is). On the far right: Is this the equivalent of the Mafia tag? How do we get one? Am I another Shadows stalker?
