  1. She had it all planned out from the start... (see the Unlimited Quest). EDIT: Sorry for the double-post, I thought they would merge.
  2. Ah, thank you, I must have missed that earlier. And yes, Quest 16 took place on one of the islands south of the island of Moone, which I guess is part of the High Kingdoms.
  3. I know! Yes, what is a Fenarian? I've been reading through some of the earlier quests again, and it seems there are still some unanswered questions regarding Sandy's main plot. So I am wondering: 1. What was the deal with those bottles containing spirits found in the warehouse of Quest 2? Did the Ziegfrieds ever do anything with them? 2. What ever happened to Zelda? Did she recover from whatever Abraxas did, and are the Ziegfrieds still fighting the demon? If these are plot points that you still plan on developing, Sandy, I apologize. I just hope you haven't forgotten about them! I loved how Quest 2 was a precursor to Quest 15 (we even found the Hinckwell wares in Jolly Roger's Grotto), and upon a second look there was even a subtle reference to Quest 6 and Donny Dozenhands. Also, I was wondering about some locations marked on the maps in the Library topic. Does anyone remember if any quests took place in the High Kingdoms? If my memory serves me right then I remember Sandy posting in the Library topic about how that region was all destroyed and reclaimed by various hostile factions, but I also remember a quest taking place in Fortaan. Quest 8 took place in a desert, in an aptly-named town called Carthago, but I don't think there was a mention of where exactly that was. I'm assuming east, in the Great Desert of Abra? And I don't recall any quest taking place in Mistaria, although isn't that a faction of Guilds of Historica? If so, maybe a future quest taking place there could have some of that influence. Sorry for the long post, I hope someone can answer my questions. I would love to learn more about the geography and history of Olegaia with future quests.
  4. I completely forgot about this... Although it will take up both of my artifact slots, I can make Hybros permanently hastened without the nasty side effect. I was wondering the same thing myself, recently. I know Quest 35 had one in it, but yeah, we don't have anyone playing a dwarf right now. If someone would come along and start playing as one, and establish dwarven culture and origins like Eric and Haldor have, that would be awesome. And in response to your mention of elves... What is Namyrra? Some kind of dark elf?
  5. Cool customs. Nice use of the rings, and you've showcased how well BrickWarriors customs match with official Lego pieces... makes me want to get some. Also, seeing the two minotaur heads together, I like the BW one slightly better because the neck part of the Lego one limits the possibilities, somewhat. Neat scimitar, too.
  6. That Elrond figure looks amazing. His sword-staff is pretty neat, and the printing is excellent. Though I agree with what some others said, I'm not too fond of the color scheme. I think it would have looked better (and more accurate) if the torso was olive instead of gold. I hope the BL prices aren't too out there when this is released. I am also pleased to see an official Hugo Weaving minifigure.
  7. Nikolai thrust his spear at XX, but it was no use. He had been chasing the assassin since he had captured Septrine, but his limited skills in battle couldn't save the emperor. He much preferred to dominate in his own realm, which was strategizing and moving troops far behind the front lines.
  8. It was in reference to your Nick Cage avatar...

  9. Hurm, I just copied and pasted WBD's battle order, he must have forgotten to put you in. I've put you at the end with an update (or rather I will after I post this).
  10. Hybros looked, concerned, at the raider. He wasn't sure if Guts was referring to the enemies or him as a demon... "You won't do much damage anyway, not with its defenses up." But it was no use, Hybros couldn't change Guts' stubbornness.
  11. "And now their defense changes... Guts, heal yourself this round. Docken's aura can absorb the free hits." Hybros continues his assault on Id.
  12. Results of Round 23 of Battle for Dastan Heroes in the West Corridor: Isabella vs. Heavy Elite Guard - Damage Critical Hit (8x2 + 12 = 28) Heroes in the East Corridor: Cronk vs. Chaos Beast A - Critical Hit (12x2 +21 -5 = 40) Cronk vs. Chaos Beast A - Critical Hit (12x2 +21 -5 = 40) Atramor vs. Chaos Beast A B - Badly Poisoned Hit (21+10 -5 =26, badly poisoned) Arthur vs. Chaos Beast A B - Magic Burst (Ice) (7+13=20 base damage to all) Heroes in the South Corridor: Denarii vs. Sir Lamorak - Special Damage (Stunned) Alexandre vs. Lord Lucan - Hit Damage (8+13=21) Skrall vs. Sir Lamorak - Hit (11+19 x2 x3 - 5 = 175) Xander vs. Lord Lucan - Special Damage Miss Tarn vs. XX - Miss Sarick vs. Lord Lucan - Spell (Ice) (18-3=15) Edgar vs. XX - Shield (5x2=10, Poisoned (already Badly Poisoned)) Count Knyghton vs. Lord Lucan - Special Damage (Stunned) Nyx vs. XX - Magic Counter (0 damage received, 13x2 = 26 damage given) Luke heals Edgar - Magical Vortex (5+19=24 base light elemental damage given, 24 health restored to all allies) Nerwen moves north to the Grand Hall De'kra vs. Sir Lamorak - Special Damage (Stunned) Isabella finishes the last remaining Guard in the West Corridor with a swipe of her blade. The heroes in the East Corridor focus on the first Chaos Beast of Dastan; Zoot's weapons clash but ultimately Zoot's Bane is the victor. Atramor and Arthur move on the other beasts. In the South Corridor, the heroes take advantage of the enemies being stunned, and Skrall finishes Lamorak with one swift arrow. Both Barbarians fail to hit anything this round, exhausted from their frenzies earlier. Edgar sinks his fangs into XX, allowing his master to strike the enemy with a darkness spell. Luke spins a vortex of light magic, striking the enemy and healing all of his allies with the power of the gods. Nerwen heads north to revive her fallen friends. 13. OOC: Any assassinations? Hybros repeats his attack. "I think we can figure out how the enemy changes... it seems only their strength changes each round, so there must be a pattern... Id is constantly raising its level by 5, Gotti switches between levels 2 and 30, and Sig switches between levels 3 and 20. The only one that doesn't make sense so far is Uma..."
  14. "Ehm... what?" Hybros attacks Id again from the front row, unsure of what will actually happen...
  15. Oh, you. Cool, thanks for the map, Sandy. Where was Jolly Roger's Cove? On another note, I was thinking about advanced classes recently. Just curious, would anyone be interested in seeing advanced classes of each basic class? What I mean is, ACs that specialize in the skills of one basic class. For example, a Mage could become a Warlock, or a Knight could become a Warrior. The class would only be accessible to it's respective BC. I'm not planning on actually making these classes (if Sandy even allowed it), but I was just curious to see if anyone else thought about this.
  16. OOC: I thought you said what you wrote didn't make any sense and you update again in the morning... sorry. Hybros attacks Id from the front row with Zoot's Reaper.
  17. "So all sense of time is lost... I am in no need of a weapons upgrade, heheh. Where to next?" Although he was sure the mist would answer that...
  18. In certain mythology/fantasy, yes, but "demon" is a term that I don't really want to associate with imps in the world of Heroica. Why do you ask? Well you could say that Bluehood from Quest 28 was in this organization. Combining these two stories from separate quests would make an interesting quest of its own, I think. Of course, that's up to WBD and Doc to decide.
  19. Just as a general note, if anyone wants to do something with imps, could they please run it by me first? I don't mean to "copyright" an entire species, but I do have plans for it. In fact, it would be great if someone wanted to do something with imps, I would just like to discuss it with them. (This is in complete disregard to any coincidence between an NPC in Quest 35 and any PCs existing. The situation just reminded me of this).
  20. Very nice article so far, Zepher. It's nice seeing how the game has progressed, though an article can only generalize these, there are so many subtle changes made to the game over time that even those who have been in it since the beginning forget them. Just one thing, I think you are getting quests 15 and 16 mixed up. I may add a small article on unique weapons/artifacts.

  23. Hehe, thanks. I know, I was just using it as an example so as not to pick on anyone. This makes sense, and goes along with the "expert" in ECs. And with this ruling, there is only one item of mine that I need to change, and that's Atticus Ziegfried's Sword of Decay (now held by Alf). It will now be classified as a braodsword/greatsword, usable by barbarians and knights only (as well as any expert class that can use broadswords/greatswords). CallMePie, if you could please make this change in the Treasury, I would appreciate it. Alexis' Flute of the Magi will remain usable to only clerics and mages, however.
  24. Congrats to the winners! And special thanks to KimT for the mini sets, glad to know you're still around! On a completely separate note, could players with weapons that don't have an obvious weapon type, designate one? I think it's only fair to choose one, since there could be some confusion to which classes can use them. For example, Zoot's Bane could be either a Longsword or a Greatsword, depending on which either a barbarian or rogue could use it. Not to pick on you, CM, since Zoot's Bane can only be used by Cronk anyway, but just as an example. Also, what happens to weapons that are not of any basic weapon type? Can shortswords be classified as longswords, so that Rogues and Knights can use them? Is a Pointy Stick (or any other weapon designated for basic classes) usable by a Dragoon?
  25. Sounds good to me, thanks for the clarification, Waterbrick Down. On another note, I was going through my computer when I found some pictures of Black Knight Hybros. I asked Chromeknight to make the figure and take a picture for me (thanks again) when the Advanced Classes were first revealed, but I decided a long time ago that Hybros would never become a Black Knight. It just never fit his story, although the class is one of my favorites. Anyway, here's the picture, just thought I'd share it. A regular half-pint badass, no?
