Cool to see Lego playing on the idea of Pareidolia! This should be a fun contest :) And I honestly don't understand the hate for social media. I mean, we're all communicating on the internet right now... Facebook, Twitter etc. are pretty bloody similar in that regard, just a little more instantaneous. That, and there's tons of great communities for Lego fans away from Eurobricks and BZPower - the Piece Out FB group for example, is a superb little community of constraction MOCists. Also, the Bionicle tag on Tumblr has some fun characters within it.

So, RaySkull's "Bionicle Protector Alternate Builds" thread has proven to be pretty popular. So, I thought it'd be neat to have a similar thread, but for modified Toa! Feel free to share photos of your modified Gen2 Toa in this thread, along with relevant building techniques and ideas. So, I'll start this off by showing off my modified Lewa. This was made to answer mine and a friend's question of how Lewa would look with a transparent colour in his scheme. Push came to shove, and more changes were made! So yes, Talons! Those are inspired by some concept art for TMoL in which Lewa Nuva had talons, presumably for perching on tree branches. And the pink thorns? I wanted to emphasise Lewa's new-found control of plantlife in a unique way, but also wanted to break up the colour scheme a bit more. Oh, and his gearbox is a notch lower, so he can move his head. And now, some photos of him in adrenaline mode!

So, I've started a new thread similar to this one, but for modified Toa! Should be interesting... You can find it here~

I have all six Toa and Protectors, along with doubles of Tahu, Gali and PoS, and also the Hero Pack. I have no want or need for LOSS. In regards to other themes? It really depends. I do want to get the ship from Elves and a couple of other Speed Champions sets though. But anything CCBS has appeal to me.

What was the worst construction set?
Logan McOwen replied to Bigger Fish's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Anyone who talks shtick on Good Guy '06 is officially my worstest enemy ever >:c But seriously? The Toa Inika. They hearkened in what I'd happily see as the demise of G1 Bionicle. Granted, the light-up swords are fantastic, but the masks? The builds? Teeth? Really? Honourable mention to the Toa Nuva here, for their equally god-awful masks. They look so clumpy and slimy. Oh yeah, and I agree on Bruizer. What the hell was going on with that freakin' arm? -
I'm thinking they were made offworld, too. But by who? And where? And why? However, I think those kinds of questions should only be answered late into the story. Maybe at the end of this team's saga or something, in 5+ years time.

A thread on Reddit opened up discussion for theorizing what may or may not happen in 2016. Just thought I'd share my response here: If this kinda discussion belongs in another thread, then I apologise.

In regards to the Protectors, all have their merits. Ice - Cool colours, heavy armour and a nice shield. Water - Interesting weapon and tons of transparent parts. Stone - An even number of dark orange and transparent neon green parts, and flame pieces in a new, unique colour. Also, the pepper grinder of DEATH Earth - Transparent purple bones, a very sinister looking mask, and a great build. Jungle - A great mix of parts and colours, and a fantastic weapon. Fire - Cool shoulder-mounted cannon, fascinating build. (I'm sure y'all can guess which my favourite is :P)

Oh, just remembered! I've got a pair of custom Protectors to share with you guys - an axe-wielding Protector of Water, and a katana brandishing Protector of Jungle! I'm really pleased with how the PoJ's gearbox came out :) Thanks to the way Imgur handles images though, I'm afraid I couldn't embed the photos here without going over EB's photo size limit. But, here's the gallery! Apologies for the dark, out of focus photos :S

Certainly. It was one of the three that were scattered in Makuta and Ekimu's clash, so it's safe to assume that it's lolling about somewhere... As is Makuta himself, unless Ekimu destroyed him.

So yeah, I've had this dude sitting about the place for quite a while now, so I thought I'd snap some pics and share him with you all! Enjoy! And now, some of the structural details, including the specialized gearbox. The gearbox allows you to swing each of Kaikohuru's arms back and forth independently, so he can punch with his fists.

This guy right here. I dig him immensely. Saw him on Brickshelf yesterday, and fell in love.

Disassembled all my Toa and Skull Spiders yesterday... Was left with around 63+ Skull Spider legs. What the dickens am I going to do with all of those?
