  1. Thanks for posting. I've subsequently supported the Rivendell projects.
  2. Seeing that the Hailfire has never appeared in TCW, the only difference we would see in the sets it the type of minifigs it includes. Since SW has gone away from TCW, I'd prefer to get minifgs from AotC. There is a plethora of Jedi they can include in that set.
  3. I don't recall ever seeing the Hailfire Droid in TCW so I wouldn't think it would be based on the show.
  4. I'm visiting my parents in the US right now and it was pretty sad to see the LEGO Store at Downtown Disney only had 1 LotR set. It was the Pirate Ship Ambush and it was on a top shelf with the sets laying sideways where you couldn't see the picture of the set. I know this particular store has a lot of foot traffic because of its location. I'll be checking out a different LEGO Store and see if they have more LotR sets out.
  5. I was challenged and ignored it. I've donated to charity and causes that I support for over the past 15 years. I think it's cool that awareness is being raised but dumping ice water on your head is the easy way out. If you want to support, donate money.
  6. The question I have for you is how quickly are you trying to move these CMFs? If time isn't an issue, then sell them individually. If time is an issue, sell them in bulk. It really depends on you. I personally would be interested in a bulk purchase of the CMF Elf and maybe the Zombies. I already have a decent Spartan army.
  7. LEGO has been getting good use out of their molds so it's a possibility. As much as I like the flame trooper clones, I'm not sure how much fans would army build with them. I have a small army but I wouldn't get more than maybe a dozen of them. What I really want are more plain clones so it'll drop the prices to $3.00 or less per minifig on Bricklink.
  8. As much as I love all Star Wars, I have a lot of fond memories of the PT and TCW because my kids grew up on both. Since TCW got axed, they have moved on to other things. With the way Disney has treated TCW in particular and focused on the OT, I really hope they move onto new worlds for Rebels. There's nothing but speculation on what the Geonosis Troopers set will be but I hope it's PT or TCW based. If not, I'll be really disappointed. For me, Rebels and the upcoming ST need to stand on their own as much as possible. Personally I'm hoping he Geonosis Troopers is from the Battle o Geonosis depicted in TCW or Delta Squad. And if not either of those, I'll take an AotC clone battlepack or geonosian battlepack.
  9. What do you mean it wouldn't sell well? This set has been long overdue for an update. And It's OT. Everybody loves OT.
  10. Outstanding job. This definitely has a Middle Earth feel to it. I love the variations in minifigs and like the different shots you took.
  11. I have mixed feelings but the extra printing is part of the evolution of minifigures. I agree that LEGO has to find a balance since the new Luke looks horrendous.
  12. The Dark Knight and Man of Steel.
  13. If the Geonosis Troopers set from that rumor list is correct, I really can't see it being anything other than a PT set. With Rebels about to kick off, I can't see LucasFilm allowing the old cartoon series (TCW) to compete with and take away sales from their new cartoon series. When I think about it, there's really no reason for Rebels to go to Geonosis. It's a PT/CW world and with the focus on the OT/ST/Rebels it just seems highly unlikely to me.
  14. AWESOME! Love that we're getting more Wookies. Can't wait to see what other sets we'll be getting.
  15. Hi, I bought a large LEGO lot almost 3 years ago for the Star Wars sets. I've finally had the chance to go through the sets and realized there a lot of City sets. I appreciate any help in identifying what sets I have as I'm looking to break these sets down and label them.
  16. Damn it. LEGO is sucking me in. The UCS Tumbler is simply amazing and the minifigs are an unexpected bonus.
  17. Bricklink order of various clone minifigs.
  18. Conventions like SDCC are nothing but a money grab. LEGO is no different than any other exhibitor. Other than unique Comic Con packaging and maybe a brick or two in the set, nothing is unique about their exclusive sets.
  19. It's pretty amusing reading how the dots are connected on rumored sets. At least it keeps this thread moving along.
  20. MTT argument = facepalm. If you like it, buy it. If you don't like it, don't buy it.
  21. As much as I hate it when I pay for LEGO in €, at least VAT is already included. I'm glad I'm able to purchase circumvent the system to a degree.
  22. Wall-E. Such an outstanding movie.
  23. As much as I like the ARC Trooper, I really wish there were variations rather than just red.
