  1. Thanks for sharing this info legozebra. A lot interesting sets are coming out throughout all of the themes.
  2. Battle of the Five Armies with the kids. My son particularly loved the movie.
  3. I'm looking forward to seeing what other sets we'll get later in the Summer of 2015. Admiral Yularen's a puzzling choice for a May the 4th promo minifig. Speaking for myself, there are plenty of other minifigs that would generate far better sales than him. Just think of the Hoth Han promo minifig from a couple years ago and the limited buzz created.
  4. I received the email from the USA. I really wish the new sets were already released.
  5. Did anyone else see this? I'm on a trip so there a couple of things I find questionable that I haven't been able to verify.
  6. If the Ent was really Treebeard, the set would have been marketed as such. LEGO wouldnot have missed that marketing opportunity.
  7. I'm glad I picked this up off of S@H when it was 50% off. Got the sale price and VIP points.
  8. I personally believe the Death Star would be a terrible investment given how long it has been available at retail. There will always be people that missed out on it that will want it later but I feel like a lot of people have stockpiled this particular set in the hopes that it will reach the value of the retired UCS Falcon. I'd be surprised if the Death Star doubled in price 10 years after it retires. Just speculating.
  9. I'm really looking forward to getting Anakin's Custom Jedi Starfighter. I really can't see it having the reported $49.99 USD MSRP. The Hailfire Droid looks interesting. Wonder what it would like with the tracks from the last version?
  10. On a weekend trip in Barcelona, Espana and spotted The Lonely Mountain at a hobby shop down the street from where I'm staying.
  11. Yup I agree, those are both definitely Stormtroopers. I can't tell the difference either. Couldn't agree with you more. As much as folks always talk about army building, how many truly army build? If the figures are out there, you can army build. It's your choice. I would army build more if it didn't cost so much. Do I blame LEGO? Absolutely not. They've given me many choices to army build with and I am happy for that.
  12. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers - Extended Edition. Kept me and the son engaged while cleaning his room and organizing his LEGO.
  13. Of the 3, I prefer the one on the far left that came from the last Clone Turbo Tank. I'm not fond of the walker's legs but I like the scale.
  14. AWESOME!!! I love the detail and scale, it's a breathtaking MOC. Despite it not being white, it is easily identified as Minas Tirith. Great job!
  15. Buy multiples of sets just to sustain continued waves? I don't think so.
  16. Minifigs are constantly evolving which I find good. There were arguments that were made between PT and TCW Clones. Now there's arguments between OT and Rebels Stormtroopers. Personally I have amassed separate PT and TCW Clone armies. The newer versions in each line shared the same molds for the helmets but the PT and TCW variations had different printing. For now I won't have any problem between OT and Rebels because I have no interest at all in Rebels and unless something drastically changes, I have no desire to amass a Rebels Stormtrooper army. For me, I'm fine with the fact that my minifigs will not be completely identical and have variations.
  17. Currently on BL there a few sellers where you can get 12 Battle Droids for less than $1.25 per minifig. Not a bad deal, especially if you're not interested in the Carrier.
  18. I never really looked at the scale of the AAT until reading your post. From what I'm seeing, the upcoming AAT may be more appropriate in scale. I'll have to rebuild my blue TCW AAT to see exactly how big it is but now that I'm focusing on scale it'll look very big. Despite the scale, I still like how it looks. At the price point of the Droid Carrier, I'll pass. You can army build battle droids very inexpensively.
  19. Thanks for posting just2good. Here are my thoughts. 75079 - Shadow Troopers - I was expecting to get updated Shadow Stormtroopers but now we have a new colored Stormtrooper to army build. The vehicle looks nice as well. 75078 - Imperial Troop Transport - Love the army building potential here. Will swap out the helmets with my older Stormtrooper helmets to have an updated army. The Transport itself reminds me of a larger Microfighter. 75089 - Geonosis Troopers - I was almost expecting this to be a TCW set but we get a rehash of the minifigs from one of last year's BPs with a new walker. Interesting BP considering we got Phase II Clones. 75088 - Senate Commando Troopers - I like that I can integrate these minifigs into my existing ranks of Senate Commandos. Like the firepower of the compact battery, it'll sit well next to the other one received from the 2012 BP. 75090 - Ezra's Speeder Bike - I'm still undecided on Rebels so will pass on this set unless one of my kids get into the show. I really like the printing on Sabine's hair as well as the guns she's packing. 75081 - T-16 Skyhopper - Love the minifigs, especially the new Tusken head. 75080 - AAT - Severely undersized and utterly disappointed with this Ep I AAT. 75082 - Tie Advanced Prototype - The minifigs may lead to me eventually getting this set. 75086 - Battle Droid Troop Carrier - An unexpected surprise. Now this set has all the Battle Droids that last year's MTT should have had. The Carrier is also longer than the ATT. 75083 - AT-DP - Really like the size of the walker. May eventually get this set for the minifigs. Is the black minifig carrying a gun that consists of 2 blasters connected by a black lightsaber hilt? 75084 - Wookiee Gunship. Interesting ship but will oat likely pass on this set. It's a pass for me on all of the Microfighter sets. In general, it looks like LEGO's pushing the new stud blasters, luckily I have a decent armory of the classic SW blasters. I believe only the AT-DP set has the classic blasters. Also expecting leg printing on all SW minifigs to be the standard in about 2 years.
  20. I'm utterly blown away by the UCS Slave I. It is so detailed and stable. The price is awesome as well.
  21. I've been really enjoying this thread as well as some of the other threads here on EB a lot more the past few days. There a lot of good discussions going on right now as we're all waiting for the final photos of the Winter wave. People's true colors come out when their patience is tested. I'm enjoying soaking it all in and the 2-3 months or so I have before I have the opportunity to purchase sets. As much as I'm looking forward to final pictures, I'm more interested in what the official pricing will be.
  22. I saw Calendar sets in Los Angeles/San Diego area LEGO stores at the end of Aug, beg of Sep.
