This helicopter is so cool and I agreed with you that this is a high playablity set. It's not common to see such a big scale helicopter which has two cockpits back then. The color scheme works well for me. With so much features such as the lowering of the grappling hook, storage box, storing of the gurney and etc. One thing which can be improved onto the helicopter is the rotors. It could be extended a little longer as the size of the helicopter is too big. It makes the rotors rather weak as it is not able to support the weight. I am confused why there is an extreme team personnel there. I thought he was supposed to be recovered from the Res-Q team? Although there is so many questions in my head such as why include the black tri-cycle bike, Extreme Team, and etc but this is still one very good set to play with. Too bad, I had never seen this before. Somehow, through your review, I like it very much. The only big scale helicopter which I owned is the 7738 Coast Guard Helicopter and Lift Raft. Neverthless, I gave this a "4". Thanks Brickster.

Very nice review. This is another set which I had never seen before when I am in my dark age. Quite an useful set, especially with the accessories and the minifigs' torsos. The speedboat is able to hold the car and the rubber rescue boat. How can the driver steer this boat with so many things blocking the way? I can't seemed to find its control though. Thanks for doing this review.

I think the surplus will likely to go into the funding of Eurobricks forum. CopMike, thanks for contributing this lovely set to our own Eurobricks Raffle.

Which combination do you think works best?
WhiteFang replied to Gen. Knowledge's topic in LEGO Pirates
Looking at the choices with my limited knowledge, I think the one on the extreme left wearing white pith or dark blue-gray pith works the best for me. I like the white very much. -
I lived in Singapore. Just take a look at my flag.

Hopeso009, welcome to Eurobricks. I had seen some of your castle mocs' and its certainly looks very impressive. Actually, I had seen your stuff in Brickshelf before, especially the Centuars, Demons and etc. I like it very much as the overall construction is unique. I appericate your work very much, and thanks for sharing it with us as well. By the way, both of us resides in Asia as well. By any concidence, are you part of the HKLUG as well? HKLUG has done many outstanding exhibitions recently. I am sure it's a very nice experience to view these exhibits. Have a great time in Eurobricks. Be sure to check out other themes as well. By the way, your new title is very sweet! Congrats! WhiteFang

History & Adventure MOC index discussion thread
WhiteFang replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Can I said thank you to the both of you? Thank you Hinckley and Sir Dillion for your consentient efforts to index and categorise the MOCs into one overview index. Best of all, there is an overview picture, reference to it. It's really very nice to see lots of outstanding and excellent creations at one glance. -
Mystery Castle - Game and Index

Indeed, it's madness. 200 ants = 10 trans-clear spears. I will opt for the 200 ants instead. It's very expensive. Geez, I wonder how did you manage to convince yourself to make such order? Oh, the caption contest's scenes are nice. Just love the swarm of the ants. -
Location: L13 (Majestic Tower, Aldresgate, Odessa Region, Black Knights Kingdom) Out of the sudden, Master Pent shouted “I remembered where it is. Hector, could you retrieve it for me in Neb Monastery? I had left it in his possession.” Lord Hector exclaimed and said “You knew it all the while, after so many decades. For the very fact, you knew where Master Erik all along is.” Master Pent paced up and down in the room and said “Erik never thought that I will know of his existence ever since he placed up that barrier to prevent other from detecting him. Since he wants it that way back then, I had just preferred to stay out of reach from him. Why am I able to detect him? Because Aluvar used to tell me that brothers whom are destined to be wizards are bound together by their blood. I am sure he do not care about that either.” Lord Hector replied “Pent, please put aside those differences. You are too old for all of this. Both of you are siblings. Never mind, we will talk about your family matters later. What do you want me to retrieve from him? Is it the Book of Dragon Secrets?” Master Pent nodded “At the moment, I have the dragon stone which Calvin had helped me to borrow it from Dragonator. However, I had forgotten how to use it. All of the instructions are written in there. I lent it to Erik in the past, and I am sure it’s still with him. Get that book for me as soon as possible. We need that book to decrypt the hidden message, in order for us to use its truth power and push the Black Wraith Demons from our land.” Lord Hector grabbed his sword from the table and said “I will take off immediately. Meanwhile, please retain Calvin and Kristine within the Capital vicinity, and appoint them as Castle Commander during my absence. We will discuss your family matter again when this is over.” Master Pent pointed and said “Bring Fernando with you for the mission. He will be your message dispatcher. No complaints from you, Fernando.” Fernando squawked loudly “Oh great, more work for me. I will see you at the foot of the tower.”

I can't believe that this set belong to a range to "2" to "3". It should deserved a little higher for a very small pirate set. In fact, I had never own big pirate sets like most of you here. Although I always wished I had a chance to own them, but this small little set also deserve a little bit of shine. Maybe, this was one of the first few LEGO Pirates sets, which my friend gave me, and I always treasure it very much. Many have noted that the raft is not really up to standard as the color scheme is wrong and should be likely in brown. Well, I can't fault them for using yellow. At that time, it seemed yellow was a common color in Pirates themes and brown parts was not commonly available as well. More plus points for this set. Who do not want an extra Pirate crew on board your vessel? The printed flag is an excellent part piece to be included into your assortment. Apart from the raft's color scheme which is not suitable, other than that, I think it's a very neat little set that deserved to be part of the Pirates theme especially for those whom are not able to afford the bigger ships. Just to share with you, how I make use of this set in my upcoming review. Ideally, most of you wish that the raft can be something like this below.

Hello all Eurobricks members and Town Lovers, Today, I will be doing up the third item in the SHELL Promotional series in 1998. Three out of the eight promotional sets are under Town theme. The third in the line is the Exterme Team sub theme which is promoted in 1998. Extreme Team is a bunch of adventurous, daring, breath taking individuals that risk their lives for an unforgettable excitement of the lifetime. Their vehicles range from land, air and sea type of extreme taking types. Extreme Team is one the unknown themes ever released in my "Dark Age". I only had this small lovely set in my Entire Extreme Team collection. Hope we are able to see more interesting reviews under Extreme Team as well. Name: Extreme Team Raft Theme: LEGO System / Town / Promotional / SHELL Year: 1998 Pieces: 19 Minifigs: 1 Price: USD$2.00 An image of a 2537, Extreme Team, Raft This will be an exciting water adventure! This is another great addition to your female population count. She is one of thhe daring individuals in the Extreme Team, that take her raft beyond limit, into the rough waters where she might face possible dangers. Look how confident she is, with those witty eyes of her. I am very sure she will survived the course of her entire journey. Raft's Design This is a very simple design, with just a big piece of wooden plank and a couple of logs tied together on the side, and it is ready to take it down to the water. Speaking of some real adventure, do you dare to take this raft in the unknown waters? There is a small holding area, where she is able to place her critical equipment to ensure her safety throughout the journey. Bottom of the raft Excellent range of equipment This set actually provides very good range of equipment. There is a pair of oars, hammer, life vest and backpack. The most wonderful piece of equipment is the pair of dynamites. First of all, they are printed. Next, they can be used in Wild West or any playing possibilites which involved in explosives. This is a very good impulse set to stock up these accessories. I wondered what she need to use these dynamites for? Her Extreme Team black jacket is very nicely designed, with their logo "X" or another way of saying "Xtreme". I find the green arms and black jacket matched pretty well, with that blue cap. Front view Relaxing herself, listening to the calm sea To summarise, this is one of the better impulse sets ever produced. It comes with a simple raft with tons of good accessories, and a very cheap way to obtain dynamites. In fact, these are my only 2 piece in my entire collection. Somehow, this set managed to find its way to my collection in my Dark Age, and I am very pleased to have this. No major flaws on this set, it fufill the conditions of an excellent impulse set! Summary review Playability: 9.5/10 (High playability involved. You can used it as an Indy, Adventurers or whatever purpose for the raft) Design: 10/10 (Very very simple design with superb great accessories. For a promo/impulse set, it's very good) Price: 9.5/10 (A very inexpensive set based on the 1998 pricing. Great way to buy this to add in some adventures of your own) Overall: 9.7/10 (This is a fanastic set, mainly for its accessories. Get it if you still see any of these. It's defintely worth the money, if its reasonable) I gave it a "5" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? Hope everyone of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Critics are strongly welcomed. Pictures can be found in My Brickshelf (When moderated)

Mystery Castle - Game and Index
WhiteFang replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Great pictures! Don't tell me your Bricklink order is full of red ants? They must have cost quite alot. -
Chicken Run Picture 1 All: *Shout* Hungry giant ants on the loose! Picture 2 Sinner: I will use my special technique that is unique to the Walrus to defend myself. Activiate "Blue Bucket". Hinckley: Nooooooooooooooooo! You are diverting the ants to my direction..... Picture 3 Majiko: My staff. I need to reach it. Dragonator: It's a little bit too far. What is Staudie doing? Staudie: *Breaking News* Welcome to EB News Crisis! This is "Live" from Mystery Castle in Dromindur, where me, Brave Staudie is in the line of fire, bringing you "Live" where the giant red ants had invaded the Castle Keep. It seemed they are attracted by one cause. *Pointed below* Majiko's cooking. The legendary "delicious" Dragon Chicken. Dragonator: *Looking fumed* Staudie, what chicken!

I am very excited about the upcoming Classic Town.net too! Looking forward to its offical launch.

First of all, let me grab Lord Dragonator over here *Shouting across from Neb Monastery to Dromindur* When I first look at the dragons, I was very impressed with its construction and find it hard to believe. In fact, it is one of the better looking dragons I had ever seen, by using bricks instead of mainly making use of technic parts which had applied onto Viking Dragons. The Blue Dragon is my favourite, and it certainly looks great. Hopeso009, do tell us more about yourself in the Introduction thread.

Ingenious MOCs of the Olympic games in Beijing

Outstanding team effort demostrated by HKLUG! I had saw the pictures and the events posted by chiukeung. It's simply outstanding! The amount of work contributed into this event is really unbelievable. Furthermore, you guys are featured in your local chinese papers as well. Wish I could visit Hong Kong during the event at Grand Century Plaza. Hope to see it myself one day when you have such events in the near future. Nevertheless, I encouraged you guys to share more of your events with us too. -
Hello tin7, Hinckley's spill the secrets of photography in LEGO in this thread. Go and take a look. For my own setup, I don't use the three-point lightning techinque, as my studio is portable with that 3 big white cardboards or also known as foam boards. I prefer to take it in a bright day instead at night to gain natural light. Taking at night is possible, provided that you switch on all the lights in that particular room or area. However, picture quality might suffer but not as bad as not switching on the lights. For advanced users, Adobe Photoshop is a very supreme photo editing tool which enable you to adjust the brightness, contrast, colors and many more to your pictures. Do let us know if you need any more help. I am sure there are many others can help you on this as well. WhiteFang

REVIEW: GIANT Castle Chess Set (2008)
WhiteFang replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Shadows, wait no more. These are the Dwarves' realm instructions ranging from "99Dwarf1 to 99Dwarf9" Take a look at it, after moderation. Hope it helps. Wish granted! These are the Trolls' realm instructions ranging from "99Troll1 to 99Troll6" Enjoy viewing after moderation. 5 times a day??? Metalandi, you must really love this set very much as I do. -
ISC, this MOC is very impressive and orignal. In fact, I had never seen a snow mountain MOCs in medival age yet. The mountain formation is really very impressive with its jagged edges around the sides. At the bottom of the mountain's foot, it reveal a miner's entrance? Or its actually reveal a Grand Hall for the Dwarves. The snow flooring illustrates a white snow smooth feel. With a little bit of "baby" powder, it brings out the entire MOC's feeling. Oh, I love that Forestman camping outside, shivering in the cold, fishing for some food. Well, it seemed he had hooked up something unfriendly. Wow, I did not use the "magical term" starting with a S***.

Happy Birthday Snefore! Have a wonderful day ahead!

For ¹²³← reference, I am in a hurry at the moment. I will get back to your questions, if there is any doubt. Meanwhile, please be specific on your questions, so the players in EBRP can address it for you. Above are two summary which I had gave to new EBRP players. Thanks WhiteFang

Location: L13 (Majestic Tower, Aldresgate, Odessa Region, Black Knights Kingdom) Fernando shouted “Someone is at the door.” Master Pent turned his back and said “Lord Hector, please come in.” Lord Hector pushed the door opened and smiled “How did you detect my presence again?” Master Pent laughed and said “That is a wizard’s secret. By the way, how are the King and the Queen?” Lord Hector closed the door and walked to the table at the side, and said “The King and Queen are now in a safe hidden location. Recently, the Black Wraith Demons seemed to be reducing their activities ever since the incident in Imperial Tavern.” Master Pent added “Yes, but we can’t be too careful about it. Our Kingdom is still in State of Emergency. Meanwhile, have you seen the Book of Dragon Secrets? I can’t seem to find it in my shelves.” Lord Hector recalled “I have not seen that book for ages? Could it be in the Central Archives room?” Master Pent scratched his head “I am getting senile. Let me take a rest. There are too many thoughts clouding my mind.”

Another outstanding review by the "awesome set reviewer"! I enjoyed reading this review very much and I felt that you have redress Twilight in an approriate manner. I have very mixed feeling about this set especially with its design. It seemed I will need to watch the Clone Wars movie in the theatre before I compared with it. Most of the time, when this LEGO set is used in a movie, you will tend to compare it and what is the actual purpose for Twilight, same as the rest of the SW vehicles and aircraft. For a high price like this, I can actually top up a little more and get the AT-TE, with the same batch of minifigs plus Commander Rex. If there is a special figure such as the V19 Torrent (Clone Pliot), it will be a much ideal scenario. At the moment, I have not bring in any Clone War sets into my collection, and I am quite sure Twilight is not in my priority list especially when I am not a full-pledged Star War collectors or I have strong intentions to complete the entire range in this recent release. Therefore, I need to prioritise my purchase, and likely to get two RGS, since that is my favourite ship in Clone War era. I am not comparing it with RGS. Both sets defintely have their pros and cons. Oh, I love that postcard you made. Certainly looks very nice! svelte_corps, thanks for doing up this superb detailed review which had given "Twilight" the neccessary attention it should have.

Welcome back! I am away for awhile from EBRP too. I must shape myself together, to get back into the fun of role playing writing again. Do continue and expand your story plot while you are away for the past few weeks. Edit: Hello '¹²³←, EBRP stands for (Eurobricks roleplay). A place where your imagination runs freely. Of course, you will need to familarise with the ruleing. The comment which you have posted earlier is the Character thread where you create a fiction character that you decide to roam into the lands of EBRP. From there, you are able to align yourself with one of the 21 factions. There are some factions that has a storyline at the moment, such as Black Knights, Dragon Masters and Crownies. If you are intending to follow any character from there, please read some of the key events which had happened so far. Any questions regarding EBRP can be asked here. Sinner had provided the FAQ link earlier. This is the General Information FAQ Thanks. WhiteFang

REVIEW: GIANT Castle Chess Set (2008)
WhiteFang replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
20% off?? Too bad mine set, is already on promtional price. In fact, the orignal price cost SGD$379.90. No further discounts for us. Do get this set if possible, I am sure you won't regret it. Although storage can be a very big problem, but its an outstanding set not to miss. I did promise something surprising for you earlier in the Castle Discussion thread. Hope this review had helped you to decide your buying decision! Pedro, the Dwarf Mine is my most favourite realm. If you do come out a similar style of that particular scene, please share with us. I am very curious to see how it looks like. I n fact, I feel like taking this part out and integrate into my Dwarves Mines' sets. The rock formation is very good for the miners to dig for gold. I must admit it's a little confusing initally. I believe there is a reason for TLG to use grey bricks to illustrate the base of the chess pieces. If you have noticed that the "Human" sides, most of the construction layout and color combination revolves in grey and dark blue combination. While, the "Dark" sides, their color combination revolved in black and dark red combination. KDog, I am glad that this review of mine had pulled you out of the space dimension. It will defintely be nice to see someone to do a Space Chess set. This idea is so lovely. I had seen someone doing the Pirate version as well. I wonder if anyone will get inspired by it. Why don't you do one yourself? You have a great collection of space sets as well. VBBN, don't buy this set for building an army (buying multiple sets). It's too expensive. However, it is an outstanding display set, great set to play chess, superb pool of bricks and accessories, and a good range of minifigs to be added.
