Brickster, I must admit that this is a very good discussion point for all Classic Town lovers, especially looking at these lovely pictures. Thanks! I will come out my list soon, after I view the entire Town collections. Simonwillems, thanks for pointing out this set. I had never seen this set before. Does that mean it has never released to the market before? This is indeed a very great set, which reminded me of Main Street. This is because I had not gone through Brickset yet. 6394 is one of the sets in my Lost Legend checklist. I loved that set very much, and used to look at the catalogue when I was a child. It matched with the 6378 very well. What do you think?

Alternate Weapons for the Crown Kingdom
WhiteFang replied to Francis Marion's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Sandy is right. In Castle theme, there are whole load of range of variety to make use and create. In fact, there are many different type of weapons, enable you to create different platoon or battalion. Just think out of the box. Archers' holding the crossbow, bow and quiver. Soldiers equipped with shortsword, long axe, spear, galve, knight's sword, short axe, scythe, halberd, katana, mace, pirate sword, staff, wand, and etc. Furthermore, with your imagniation, you can pull different combinations to pull in your own custom weapons. At the moment, I do not have any pictures to share with you yet. If possible, I will try and put up some, for reference. If you have spare cash, there is always Brickforge as well. -
Hi Mrs Pegleg, You have found more interesting links for the Olympics. This was actually done by HKLUG, in preparation for the Beijing Olympics 2008. You can find the rest of the discussion here.

Great review, KimT! At that time, it was still in my dark age and I hated myself not to get this set earlier. This is quite inexpensive and you are able to get two greatest characters especially Count Dooku. The minifigs are excellent, especially the unique design of Count Dooku's lightsaber. I have no problem with the speedbike, as it looks quite alright to me. As for the elevation of Yoda's jump adds some playabilty, but that does not work well for me. Nevertheless, the main attractive factor is Count Dooku and I have to rate it a "5". I never own a Yoda, except for the magnet version.

This is such an amazing piece of work. I can't believe the supreme details that entails within it. The scale is incredible. Looking at the mystical forest simply can't take my eyes away. This is a very beautiful piece of art. I love it very much. Brickster, thanks for posting. I enjoyed viewing at this excellent piece of work!

REVIEW: GIANT Castle Chess Set (2008)
WhiteFang replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I don't believe this set will disappear from the shelves at a very fast rate. It's too expensive and too heavy for the kids to grab this and pull it to the cashier. I don't think this set was meant to target children. It's more inclined towards young adults and adults. ClubNinja, thanks for pointing out this "problem". Firstly, let me congrats you to obtain this set. Now, you will know the excitement I felt earlier, when I built this. Addressing to your complaint, I wouldn't agreed less. The packaging and storage is a big problem. How did I solve the problem? After displaying for 2 weeks, I decided to purchase a giant plastic sealed storage box to place the entire chess set into the container, by breaking it into sections. (taking away the sides and realms). Why can't I stored back into the orignal storage container? For a collector whom love to keep boxes in intact condition, I will have to cut, burn, melt, rip or whatever to take away the white storage box away from the chess piece tray in order to store the chess set. In fact, that white box is the main obstacle. It's glued. Unless you used brute force or some other logical methods if anyone had any, please tell me your solution. I had not tried anything stupid to it, and I am quite satisified to place it in my giant container. The orignal storage box is kept in my storeroom. The box is extremely huge and required high storage space. Please make sure you have enough space first before bringing it to your residence. -
The possibilty of a second wave Speed Racer sets are very slim. Why? Because I believe the 4 sets which is released earlier, was meant for promotional purposes for the Speed Racer movie. These sets was aligned to the movie, and not the actual cartoon itself. Many of us had mixed feelings towards Speed Racer. I, myself had that congnitive feeling as well. Somehow, I hope it won't come back. I am sorry to all Speed Racer fans/collectors. I don't meant anything personal.

Thanks LuxorV. I will try to experiment with the new addition that you have suggested. Thanks for sharing this MOC of yours. Looking forward to see more of your creations.

Infomanic, welcome to Eurobricks! Another fellow castle army builder as well. I have the same objective too. Trying to accomplish an army of 200, is not an easy feat. I will love to see our armies once it's done. See you around.

Glancing through all of these 2009 pictures, there is a few things that came into my mind immediately. I need to save more money to acquire more sets. In fact, I might purchase multiple Clone Army sets, to bulid my first Star War army. The City is indeed superb with its farm and new construction theme. In fact, there are more civillans added to your City. Indiana Jones is just so fanastic. Pirates, a classic lovely theme is out again, giving me a second chance to buy it. Now, I have to wait to see what is in store for the Castle theme. I will need to save more to buy more of these... So little time left, I hope to look through all of these pics carefully, and give my thoughts as well. For the moment, this is the excitment I am feeling right now, after viewing the 2009 Paradise.

It will make the front too bulky and the end of it too light. It will make the entire design unbalance. I understand your design considerations in this MOC. Thanks LuxorV. I was wondering if you had done it on purpose or accidentaly. I am not very good in designing cars. I was thinking, maybe the wheels are too big. That's why the front part will have to be lifted upwards to fit in nicely. Will like to share with you how I tried to construct my first car. Eventually, the front was ended up, leaving a little too much gap by the side. I had to extend the length of it in order to fit Max, the Fabuland Resident.

I voted for number 5. It is such a simple trap, but in fact the most effective and classic way of catching monkey. The rest of the entries are equally interesting. Great contest everyone!

Interesting poll. As a castle collector myself, I am hoping to see Elves, a new type of Forestmen or more variety of town folk. Any of these will be defintely great and adds on more fun to the play. Out of all these, I am hoping to see more of Elves. However, any of these is defintely my best bet.

LuxorV, welcome back. It's nice to see you post something inside the Town and Train forum. At first, I thought it was an Indiana Jones MOC. However, this is one nice classic car. I had never seen that technique before. It looks real nice and black cars are cool. I find it a little wierd by looking at the front design where the chasis is tilted upwards. It's something new to me.

I am very certain that the Castle Advent Calender's figures has more or less confirmed. By adding the 4 dwarves into it, certainly is an added promotional image to arouse buyers to purchase. Simply because, dwarves is the main attraction for this year's castle line. Having 4 more dwarves into the advent calender is not likely an option or possible for it to happen. Furthermore, Advent Calender always release each individual minifig only. For example in City Advent Calender, they will never place two policeman, two construction workers, two rail workers and etc. I believe the Advent logic apply the same.

Congrats! You are extremely lucky to have been picked by CopMike. Enjoy this exclusive prize.

Teddy, this is an outstanding medival castle. I like the construction very much, especially its high towers and gates. Does it come with an interior as well? I will love to take a closer look at it. Furthermore, the cross on the castle walls added a little bit of touch. Wonderful job. Thanks for sharing.

I will like to emphasis that no characters in EBRP is considered a burden, unless the character has crossed its mortal boundaries such as delcaring a god. Khorne, for any valid reason could not continue the quest/journey with you in EBRP at the moment. Therefore, you could have the option and use your creativity to make a valid exit out of the current plot, by re-constructing your new sub plot at the same time. When Khorne comes back, he will not be lost with his character or the current plot if he is still keen to continue his character, it will be much fair for him in this way. It makes sense, only if you write it in a logical and pleasant manner. In this way, it will be best for both party.

This is a very fun contest. Great job! Just love the new cannon design and the rest of the smileys
-
Keep it up. Regarding about Khorne's character, it will be best to leave it as it is. He might have plans for Bardoc in EBRP unless it's alright for him to co-share his character to merge into your plot. Otherwise, it will be best to detach your character away from the current plot and continue with your story. Taking into consideration that Khorne might be busy over the weeks. Therefore, he might not be quite active for awhile.

Glad some of you like this set for the wide variety of good accessories. It seemed some are unfavour of the raft's design. Well, I think for an impulse set. The raft's design is quite good. At least, it took care of the color scheme well. It's just a simple raft for the adventurer to move onto the river stream and throw some dynamitte to blow some obstacles away. Your comments make me feel like I has just done a Pirate review instead of an Extreme Team Review.

This is my favourite house which I owned during my childhood. Although it's in the crypt, but I hope to build it back one day. Looking at your review makes me so envy of you to own a complete set. The baseplate is very unique especially for its stoned pattern. Classic LEGO telephone is just so lovely especially when its printed. The entire house layout is simple and very nicely constructed. In fact, the simplicity just showed how much LEGO could do with such parts. There are many nice furnitures included in this set such as the little oven/stove, dining table, bed and car porch. The little black car is a classic example of a true 4-studs car. I love this house very much, and my verdict is a full "5". No doubt about it. Thanks Hinckley for this lovely review.

Give yourself some thoughts to determine the flow of your plot. You can't rush or just write without giving it some thoughts? Just write what you think it's is right. Come out with some interesting some sub-plots for Kian to move on. I will suggest that you don't end a character's plot if you had devoted time into it. Likewise, for many of us here, we had many ongoing plots. It will never ends. It's just matter of how we continue it.
