Oh my. I thought the umbrella was included as part of standard offering. Thanks for clarifying my doubts.

Thanks everyone. I am pleased that this Lester minifigure is not restricted to just 275 fans. Everyone should have at least a chance to own it somehow. By restricting it in one store with ample supply, I think it is very fair to have a chance to get into the game. I am not aware there’s a difference in the black umbrella.

Agreed on the hairpiece which used a recycle part. It will be hard for TLG to justify its cost if the unique hairpiece is not used elsewhere. Noted, as it is each to their own opnion. More importantly, this review summarise my thoughts and excitement of buying it. Hence, the descriptiors used. I actually like the face print on this. Just the hairpiece is quite disappointing.

My mind is totally blown away by the sheer catalogue of the global reviews and putting Eurobricks reviews into the stats and indexing. Truly amazing piece of analytical insight piece of project which I simply adore. I am on my mobile phone and I am surely viewing the tip of this ice berg. Thanks Pandy for the shout out. Linus, I echo Pandy’s sentiments. If you could somehow segregate with EB RA reviews as it will be helpful for us to understand how much reviews were done through this programme over the years. I seen my recent reviews also updated into the index. So pleased to see that. Not sure if this helps, below is the Flickr Group for RA reviews done. Not all of us upload there, but is a place for us to showcase some of our works. https://www.flickr.com/groups/reviewers_academy/ edit: if it helps, I had done about 196 reviews and I hope it will helps it does include some of my customization reviews though. https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/profile/2351-whitefang/&tab=field_core_pfield_23

This is an interesting discussion. I like civil discussion and seeing how quality comments evolved over time in the course of discussion. Anyway, this is a forum where we do not tolerate trolls or bashers unlike any other platforms. Sometimes, comments may be easily misunderstood and lead to a rowdy discussion. It is also to a large extent on how clear we write and express ourselves. The way we write may not equate direct translation of how you really truly felt or for your statement to be truly represented. This is because there is a lack of tone behind your comments and readers will read it based on their interpreted tone. Which is why, it’s always important to be clear and concise in the way on how we get our points across. There is no right or wrong in a discussion. We can be overly hype on things we adore and love. That does not mean we lose the ability to be objective in the way on how we articulate our thoughts. In short, we are not like any other foras or social media platform where quantity is thriving versus quality. Thanks Bublehead for starting this topic.

Eurobricks Event 2018 - The storys and pictures
WhiteFang replied to CopMike's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Thanks @Holodoc. Lots of wonderful photos to view and certainly great memories to reminse. -
Hello everyone, During my recent holidays to London in late May 2018, I had managed to visit the largest LEGO brand store in the world which is located at Leicester Square. I was pleased to be greeted by this iconic first-of-its-kind, LEGO mascot - Lester in his Union Jack outfit. The store experience was pleasant and you can find more of the store images in this Flickr folder, if you are interested to view my UK LEGO store experience. I went there a few times, but the experience is best enjoyed when you are at the store at 1000hrs so you can take nice pictures in-store. This is where the exclusive polybag is found. There is absolute no rush to get it as there are plentiful of stocks, retailing at GBP 5.99 each. I had to grab one and add it into my collection. The Lester minifigure was initially released as exclusive promotional minifigure and is limited to 275 copies and was given away during their store opening in December 2016 (if memories serve me right). There were skyrocket prices in the secondary market and a change of fate, the Lester minifigure was reported to be available in store for purchase without any buying conditions other than the restrictions in October 2017, as reported by Brickset. This immediate release crashed the resale market, especially there were nil notable differences between the two minifigures' design. Without further ado, let me share my simple thoughts in this review. Name: 40308 Lester Theme: LEGO Miscellaneous / Promotional / LEGO Brand Stores Year: 2017 Pieces: 5 Minifigs: 1 minifigure Price: USD NA, GBP 5.99, EURO NA, SGD NA Resources: Brickset, Bricklink An original polybag image of the 40308 Lester Back view of the original polybag image of the 40308 Lester Meet Lester and he is the mascot of LEGO Leicester Square in-store exclusive As mentioned above, I am elated to be able to own this wonderful exclusive minifigure in my collection, especially able to get it at the largest LEGO Leicester Square Brand Store. This will make an excellent LEGO gift souvenirs for your AFOL friends back at home as there is simply no other place to get it other than there. You may also consider buying some of the other promotional item such as the 40220 London Bus. Otherwise, you can also simply waltz your way to Hamleys Toy store, located at Regent Street to get the other LEGO exclusive in London known as the 5005233 Hamleys Royal Guard. One important thing to note, the building above is not part of the polybag and any guess which building that's from? The LEGO building content The polybag contains five building parts to build Lester minifigure and he is equipped with an accessory. Lester - all-rounded view inclusive of back printing Lester is a cheerful looking minifigure with his dark blue three-piece suit with the union-jack design as his iconic waist coat. The minifigure comes with back printing and equipped with an uncommon black umbrella which had made six appearances till this date including the Penguin from the LEGO Batman Movie. The black bowler hat is quite a British icon and is pretty uncommon too. Till this date, it had only made seven appearances as well. LEGO London exclusives Visiting the Buckingham Palace with his new found friend To conclude, this is an above average polybag for its special exclusivity value in it. It is very iconic and at one glance, you can easily identify the origin of this minifigure. It also comes with an folded umbrella accessory. More importantly, it is not restricted to 275 copies worldwide when it first launched. I totally welcomed the mass release and making this polybag readily available 24/7 all year round in LEGO Leicester Brand Store. Time will tell how long this polybag will last before it ever goes out of production. As of now, this had made it very easy for us to gain access without the fear of running out of stock. Summary review Playability: 8/10 (Nice minifigure and a great mascot to add into your City setting and in my case, I placed it near my Ferris Wheel display.) Design: 8/10 (Minifigure design is pretty nice and a British icon.) Price: 8/10 (Though some might find it expensive, but I find GBP 5.99 very reasonable for me to part my cash away and hopefully for others to buy them within this reasonable price range.) Overall: 8/10 (You must get this polybag no matter what especially if you are great fan of LEGO plus it will put smiles to friends back at home who are into LEGO as well.) I gave it a "4" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? I hope every one of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Criticisms are strongly welcomed. Hello everyone, I just bought this marvelous polybag at a heartbeat and I am excited to share this simple reviewing coverage with our fellow Eurobricks Community. Anyone could have guess that this latest exclusive 30615 Edna Mode polybag. This exclusive polybag is is part of the latest Disney sequel of Incredibles 2 movie. In this case, this polybag is only made available in console purchases and is part of the free gifts for PS4 and Xbox 360 for the new Incredibles 2 video-games. I did not buy the game itself as I am not into LEGO video-games lately and I don't think I will play it on my PS4. Hence, I thought of getting this lovely minifigure at a premium price in a secondary market. Without further ado, let's see if is worth my extra efforts to collect this polybag today. Name: 30615 Edna Mode Theme: LEGO Juniors / Incredibles 2 Year: 2018 Pieces: 4 Minifigs: 1 minifigure Price: USD NA, GBP NA, EURO NA, SGD NA Resources: Brickset, Bricklink An original polybag image of the 30615 Edna Mode Back view of the original polybag image of the 30615 Edna Mode Special exclusive minifigure which only can be found in a game console giveaway I am elated to acquire this minifigure and largely because I am a fan of the Incredibles movie. This polybag is part of the 2018 LEGO Juniors release which feature the latest Incredibles 2 sets. I wanted to complete this series but unfortunately I had a missed opportunity and probably be getting the minifigures through Bricklink or some other means. I will love to complete the whole minifigures and showcase the amazing prowess of the Incredibles Family. Although this polybag is only made available as part of promotional giveaway which even include a game code of "BRAB1R" that I got nil idea of what is capable of, but there ought to be other sellers who are just getting rid of these polybags and hopefully at a reasonable price. The LEGO building content The polybag contains four building parts to build Edna Mode minifigure. It include an instruction manual which is not really needed but a good tempting promotional advertisement to drop subtle hints on other accompanying LEGO Incredibles 2 sets. It is a huge pity that this minifigure does not come with any accessory and given the high price count and exclusivity. I thought a new 2x2 design tile showcasing her superheroes attire could be a nice touch to perfection. Edna Mode - Dual facial expressions Edna Mode is a great minifigure with superb facial expressions as seen above and the minifigure also come with back printing as well. Edna is a very interesting character in the Incredibles movie. She has successfully created custom-made original superheroes outfits in the golden age. Her each outstanding piece of work made her feels indefinite superior to other fashion designers in the world and shows little interest toward runway fashion shows and modern fashion models in place like Milan. She is the original designer for the outfit for the Incredibles family members. So, do you think this minifigure is as accurate as the reference design? Batman, which costume is suited for your special occasion? Mr Incredible vs Syndrome To conclude, this is an above average polybag which is probably the only chance ever, to get an official LEGO Edna Mode minifigure. I don't think it will ever appear elsewhere since it will probably be an one-off theme release under the LEGO Juniors theme. It will be perfect if she had an accessory like a custom 2x2 printed tile for example. This polybag is probably useful for Incredibles fans and causal buyers will probably not be interested in this. Although I think her reference design is slightly inaccurate but overall appeals to me greatly like her dual facial expressions. It is a good exclusive polybag and will be worthwhile if you can buy this reasonably in secondary marketplace or simply just buy the console game if you love LEGO video-games. Summary review Playability: 8/10 (Able to integrate with any collection who owns the new LEGO Incredibles 2 sets.) Design: 8/10 (Minifigure design is pretty accurate and it will be perfect if there is an accessory to it.) Price: 6/10 (It will depends on how much you are willing to pay for since it is only available in a free gift package with video-game purchase.) Overall: 7.3/10 (Above average Incredibles 2 exclusive polybag.) I gave it a "4" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? I hope every one of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. It's part of Eurobricks fun. You can check out all of the past titles here from our members as well as their own interpretation. (not sure), if it can removed, but I reckon it can't until some new magical title happen on you again. Personally, I like your new title and is witty indeed.

Hello everyone, This is the first review which i am going to do from the LEGO SOLO: A Star Wars Story. I haven't watched the movie yet and was feeling pretty excited after viewing the movie trailer too. I will plan to watch this movie soon, so rest assured that this review will contain nil spoilers. This review will be done in a different fashion and it will be kind of concise with about a total of 12 images in this presentation. This is because I had bought many sets earlier and deboxed them from overseas. More importantly, I need to highlight that I had finished building this set before I do this review for photo taking. There will be some other reviews which I had planned to be carried out in such a manner and I am experimenting to omit the building process for each packets for example. Not sure what will the outcome be, but do leave your thoughts and feedback whether you love this new reviewing style or do you prefer the lengthy version? Without further ado, allow me to bring you again into the Star Wars Universe. Name: 75209 Han Solo's Landspeeder Theme: LEGO System / Licensed / Star Wars / SOLO: A Star Wars Story Year: 2018 Pieces: 345 Minifigs: 2 minifigures and 1 Corellian Hound Price: USD 29.99, GBP 25.99, EURO 29.99, SGD 59.90 Resources: Brickset, BrickLink An original box image of the 75209 Han Solo's Landspeeder Back view of the original box image of the 75209 Han Solo's Landspeeder The sleek ultra fast Landspeeder in the Galaxy When I first saw this set, I had laid my eyes on it and make it a point to get it as soon as I can. Among the many LEGO Landspeeders being released, this is my personal favourite design due to its ultra sleek navy blue appearance with tons of machinery details laying out. I enjoyed this built very much plus the fact there's a high degree of playability. I also glad to note there's nil stickers in this set. Han Solo and Qi'ra minifigures, plus a Corellian Hound This set contain two excellent well designed minifgures namely Han Solo and Qi'ra. Both of the minifigures contain alternate expression which reveal their aggressive looks. People are familiar with the name of Han Solo was a smuggler who became a leader in the Rebel Alliance to restore the Republic and a key leading figure in the defeat of the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. Qi'ra was from the planet Corellia who lived during the reign of the Galactic Empire. She grew up on the streets along with Han Solo before working for the Crimson Dawn gang. She was first introduced in this movie. The Corellian hound was a type of hound from the planet Corellia. A fleet-footed, loud-barking, highly aggressive species. These hounds were used for attack and tracking. Different views of the completed built of M-68 Landspeeder Check out the various vantage views and angles of this awesome landspeeder which is capable of seating two passengers comfortably. Han Solo's Landspeeder is also known as Mobquet (M-68 Landspeeder) which is the name for the build and model. No one really knows how Han Solo got this piece of sleek landspeeder in his possession and my guess is his hot-wiring skills made it possible. The M-68 Landspeeder is a high performance land vehicle. It is capable of lifting off the ground by a repulsorfield, while propulsion thrusters push the vehicle forward. Each thruster has a variable exhaust nozzle that shapes and direct thrusts and lets the pilot spin the vehicle at high speeds. The repulsorfield also works as a traction field for better control. To take it so much power, it ought to have a very reliable cooling system in place and the cooling fan does the magic for the repulsion generator. You can take a overview look after removing the landspeeder's bonnet which include a spanner to keep for repairs. The built is excellent and compact. I am fond of the whole colour schema and my only complaint is the rear of the smooth spoiler which reduces the air drag. I am not particularly fond of the light grey angular plate piece. It is quite an eyesore and I wish it can be either black or just match with the same intended colour. Past landspeeder designs do not contain wheels below to allow it to move smoothly and making it appear is hovering around. That is definitely a welcoming feature under playability. It also come 2 spring-loaded shooters as well. Different comparisons of recent official Landspeeders I owe you nothing, so get lost! To conclude, this is an above average LEGO Star Wars set and I bought them for the design, minifigures (different variants of Han Solo) and the Corellian hound. It has high playability feature and contain nil stickers in place of printed parts. This set is accompanied together with the 75210 Moloch's Landspeeder for the chase scene which I had bought it as well and may have plans for a future review too. The local price is too expensive and I am glad to buy this at an offer from overseas. Summary review Playability: 9/10 (Fun and enjoyable landspeeder with great playability especially the wheels below to create the hovering effect) Design: 9/10 (Great minifigures designs and nice landspeeder design with a very minor flaw.) Price: 7/10 (Quite expensive but do get it when is on sales.) Overall: 9/10 (Enjoyed this set very much and the whole colour scheme and as I type this review, this model is placed nicely in front of me) I gave it a "5" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? (Star Wars poll function is still broken and I exclude the poll in this review). I hope every one of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Criticisms are strongly welcomed. Pictures can be found in My Flickr.

That kind of worries me if TLG intend to make Power Functions obsolete at some point in time. I am very skeptical of the new Powered Up Functions.

WhiteFang replied to kaelthas's topic in LEGO Licensed
Outstanding review and excellent photography accompanied with awesome past and present comparisons of the Ant-Man (especially the Ant-Man family). It is definitely a welcoming treat to see you sharing your excitement of the MCU movies set with us. I own both of these sets and I enjoyed them as much as you do. Now I am just looking forward to the upcoming movie of the Ant-Man and the Wasp. Well done and keep up the good work.- 14 replies
