  1. Hello everyone, This is my second review from the LEGO SOLO: A Star Wars Story. Till this date, I haven't watched the movie yet and I got overwhelmed with these new sets. I think I had pretty much most of everything. So far, I had only done the 75209 Han Solo's Landspeeder and I aim to bring more Star Wars review soon. Meanwhile, please be rest assured that this review will not contain spoilers. This review is done comprehensively and there are about a total of 17 images in this layout. It was because this is one of the sets which I had bought overseas and got it back in a debox manner. I also like to highlight that I had completed building this set first before the photo taking commence. Hope you will like this simple reviewing coverage for our Eurobricks Community. Name: 75210 Moloch's Landspeeder Theme: LEGO System / Licensed / Star Wars / SOLO: A Star Wars Story Year: 2018 Pieces: 464 Minifigs: 2 minifigures and 2 Corellian Hound Price: USD 39.99, GBP 44.99, EURO 49.99, SGD 99.90 Resources: Brickset, BrickLink, Brick Insights An original box image of the 75210 Moloch's Landspeeder Back view of the original box image of the 75210 Moloch's Landspeeder Let's hunt for our mark When I first saw this set, I was not very impressed with the blocky looking design but when I noticed Han Solo's Landspeeder is missing a 'companion'. I knew this will be the right action sequence fit for the speeder chase scene. On its own, it was not an outstanding design and it appear to be dull at first impression. However, after I had built it, the blocky shape suddenly make good sense and it was actually an accurate movie design reference too. Hence, this had increased its liking over the course of time and this set is proudly sit in front of my working table. Allow me to point out the fine details of this blocky dull landspeeder. Lastly, we do not get to see any dreaded sticker sheet for this set. Moloch, Rebolt minifigures plus 2 Corellian Hounds This set contain two new detailed minifgures namely Moloch and Rebolt. Both minifigures contain back printing while Rebolt bear an alternate facial expression and Moloch utilise the new skirt slope dress piece. The head is an unique mold which is designed to shape Moloch's flexible concertinaed cowl armour. To share abit more on their background, our unfriendly Moloch is extremely loyal to Lady Proxima - Leader of the White Worms. Moloch belong to Grindalid species and they are not a fan of sunlight. For our other guest, Rebolt. He also belong to the White Worms Gang and compete with other scumrats who are much smarter than himself. Moloch wield a short blaster and a sceptre, while Rebolt used a whip. The other two animal companions are the Corellian hounds from the planet Corellia. These hounds were used for attack and tracking. The completed built of Moloch's Landspeeder The completed Moloch's Landspeeder is a mixture of dark/medium grey and slight mix of sand brown bricks. It is a sturdy and firm built. This is also known as the "Trast Heavy Transports, A-A4B Truckspeeder". We can refer to this landspeeder as a truckspeeder based on the speeder classification. The armoured transport is only capable of sitting one passenger behind its protective roll bar. The armoured bulky looking transport has a powerful noisy engine that allow the speeder to propel forward but in actual fact, it has these lovely mini wheels to allow this truckspeeder to experience a hovering sensation. This truckspeeder has a couple of nice playability features such as the multi-stud shooter at the front of the truckspeeder. It can be activated from the side of the truckspeeder via the circular round piece. The rear end of the truckspeeder also contain a storage cabin area. It can keep a couple of feeding baskets for the hungry hounds and spare ammunition. This truckspeeder also contain a forward cage which holds a pack of snarling Corellian hounds. How can we get them up to the cage? The Imperial Patrols have discovered our operations Get these hounds away from us I owe you nothing, so get lost! To conclude, this is an average LEGO Star Wars set and I merely bought it for keeping Han Solo's landspeeder busy and for both of these unique minifigures which is available from this set, not forgetting the two hounds. The design itself is not exactly appealing and many might this landspeeder kind of oversize which is true for a shape of a landspeeder. In this case, this is largely considered as a truckspeeder similar to modern day 'trucks'. In addition, the price count and SRP for this set is ridiculously expensive and it will probably take a real fan of Star Wars SOLO to get it. If this set is not even on discount, I will probably give it a miss. Summary review Playability: 8/10 (Fun and enjoyable truckspeeder which need a hovering speeding companion.) Design: 6/10 (Above average minifigures designs and slightly above average truckspeeder design which will not stand out on its own.) Price: 4/10 (Very expensive but do consider getting it when it is on heavily discounted sales.) Overall: 6/10 (I liked this set for the complement effect and it had earned a decent spot on my table for the time being.) I gave it a "3" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? (Star Wars poll function is still broken and I exclude the poll in this review). I hope every one of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Criticisms are strongly welcomed. 2. Hello everyone, Anyone excited about this brand new LEGO 75222 Betrayal at Cloud City? Or is it below your expectations when you first see this official images? Ponder no more and travel back in time in this intergalactic journey of this iconic arc of Star Wars Episode V: Empire Strikes Back. Allow me to share my thoughts in this latest reviewing project with our Eurobricks community. This is a massive review and it involve long building process to make this possible. Special thanks to LEGO CEE and Eurobricks for giving me this wonderful reviewing opportunity. Let's take a closer look at this first ever re-release LEGO Cloud City since its first inception in 2003 from this first ever 10213 Cloud City with a total piece count of 698 pieces and racking about USD$2,000 in secondary market for a brand new mint box. This is my opening remarks for my review ahead. Furthermore, I also like to add a note and mark this review as my 200th review in Eurobricks. Name: 75222 Betrayal at Cloud City Theme: LEGO System / Star Wars / formerly known as Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) and now known as Master Builder Series (MBS) Year: 2018 Pieces: 2812 Minifigs: 18 minifigures plus 2 droids Price: USD $349.99, GBP 299.99, EURO 349.99, SGD NA Resources: Brickset, BrickLink, Brick Insights An original box image taken by WhiteFang in the LEGO Vault visit in May 2014 An original box image of the 75222 Betrayal at Cloud City Back view of the original box image of the 75222 Betrayal at Cloud City A closer look at the playability feature from the official box art (1) " at the playability feature from the official box art (2) " at the playability feature from the official box art (3) " at the playability feature from the official box art (4) " at the playability feature from the official box art (5) " at the playability feature from the official box art (6) The packets are placed close to the brim of the box The highly anticipated UCS or MBS playset in this iconic D2C Original Trilogy scene Like the half of global AFOL sentiments, I stand on the side of excitement with minor rants when TLG announced with their official press release. I am very elated with the release of this brand new 75222 Betrayal at Cloud City. One of the key motivation behind my keen interest is because I had previously missed the 10123 Cloud City back in 2003 due to its high price and I simply cannot afford it as I am still a student. Hence, moving in lightspeed of 15 years ahead, I finally have the chance to see this iconic scene in modern LEGO Star Wars setting accompany with newer bricks, sophisticated building techniques and excellent minifigures' designs. Cloud City is one of my wishlist of LEGO Star Wars re-release and I belong to the second generation of Cloud City residents. It is very uncommon for LEGO to release such a mega playset. If we can recall the history of UCS equivalents, these are some of the awesome sets like the 10188 Death Star in 2008, an slight update version of 75159 Death Star in 2016 and 10236 Ewok Village in 2013. Of course, who could ever forget the sheer disappointment of the 75098 Assault on Hoth in 2016. Now with the latest 75222 Betrayal at Cloud City, we now have a good list of play scenes revolving around Star Wars Original Trilogy (OT) Episodes IV to VI. That reason alone, is the second motivation factor for me to jump onto the bandwagon which is the love of Star Wars OT. So far, TLG had been placing a greater emphasis on OT designs on UCS LEGO sets since 2000. This could also be the reason since most of the AFOLs grew up with Star Wars OT movies since 1980s. I have been coining the word 'UCS' for the above paragraph. An update for this D2C (Direct 2 Consumer) playset by TLG is mentioned that it will be re-branded as Master Builder Series (MBS). This attempt is so as not to confuse with the very complex building process which revolved around large scale UCS models. You can refer to this discussion to find out more. In my personal opinion, it does not affect me whether it is called UCS or MBS but I guess it make dedicated UCS fans much happier to see playsets like this being de-linked with the name of UCS. The focus on Betrayal at Cloud City is because they (Princess Leia, Han Solo and friends) are seeking refuge in Cloud City from Han's old friend (Lando), so they could escape the clutches of the Empire pursuit. However, the grim plot thicken and Lando had to do what it need to safeguard his own people by betraying his friends by handing them over to the Empire. Luke Skywalker didn't complete his Jedi training with Master Yoda and left promptly to Cloud City to save his friends (even knowing it is a trap for him). That pretty much surmise that particular final arc of Episode V. This set is quite a challenging and is suitable for builders above 14 years old. Most of the time. LEGO Star Wars sets are largely focused on vehicles and spacecrafts. We don't get a lot of playsets especially of this scale. Special thanks to the LEGO Model Designer - Hans Burkhard Schlomer and LEGO Graphic Designer - Madison O'Neil for making this release possible. Of course, not to forget mentioning the welcome message from the Design Director of LEGO Star Wars. There are also some interesting pages from the instruction manual which you can view here and here. Overview of the illustrated built over the 13 milestones (preview) Step 5 to 6 Step 7 to 8 Step 9 to 10 Step 11 to 13 The sealed box came with 25 mint packs and is divided with the main box and sub box. The main box contain 15 mint packs and the sub box contain 9 mint packs. The 25 mint packs are numbered and grouped from 1 to 13. The instruction manual and sticker is kept in this manner. With reference to the overview image above in the instruction manual, the entire built is divided into 13 significant milestones. The building content are grouped into 13 main building processes, with stage 1 (1 pack), stage 2 (2 packs), stage 3 (1 pack), stage 4 (2 packs), stage 5 (3 packs), stage 6 (2 packs), stage 7 (3 packs), stage 8 (3 packs), stage 9 (1 pack), stage 10 (2 packs), stage 11 (1 pack), stage 12 (2 packs) and stage 13 (2 packs). After the set is built, these are the remaining spare parts from Packet 1, Packet 2 (exclude black robe), Packet 5, Packet 6, Packet 7, Packet 8, Packet 9, Packet 10, Packet 11, Packet 7, Packet 7. The content also included two sticker sheets. I love this message very much - sub box A closer look at these awesome LEGO minifigures from the official box art The massive large assortment of minifigures in this latest LEGO Star Wars playset Firstly, let's run through the minifigures section. The 75222 Betrayal at Cloud City is hailed one of the top 10 LEGO sets with the highest amount of minifigures. This playset include an astounding number of 18 minifigures which comprise of the following: Han Solo, Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker in Bespin outfits, Chewbacca, C-3PO, Lando Calrissian, Lobot, 2 Cloud City Guards, 2 Cloud Car Pilots, Leia and Han in Hoth outfits, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, 2 Stormtroopers and an Ugnaught, plus R2-D2 and an IG-88 droid, versus the predecessor of just merely 7 minifigures. I believe TLG had captured the essence of the key characters for this final scene in the Episode V: Empire Strike Back. It had included numerous characters for the various play scenes to make the playability wholesome. The common and yet essential main protagonist and antagonist characters such as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, R2-D2, C-3PO and Darth Vader. Star Wars fans will not find these characters unfamiliar and there are abundance of these characters in various design rehashes with slight update on the minifigures' designs. In addition, what we are keen on are these uncommon and some new characters or its refreshing appearances. The protagonist minifigures Let's examine and take a closer look at these protagonist minifigures in greater details. From left to right: they are Chewbacca, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, R2-D2 and C-3PO. Among these new minifigures' design are the notable Princess Leia in the lovely dress gown printed on the new skirt piece, followed by Luke Skywalker battle outfit against Darth Vader and the new side-printed leg piece from Han Solo. Correct me if I am wrong, I believe the rest of these minifigures had appeared in other sets before, especially the pair of droids. You can take a look at the detailed back printing and five of these minifigures contain alternate facial expressions. I love how these alternate facial appearances turn out when you put them at the front. The neutral minifigures of Cloud City Now let's take a closer look at these neutral minifigures from the Cloud City. From left to right: they are Cloud Car Pilots, Lando Calrissian, Lobot and Cloud City Guards. Among these lot, I particularly love the new dual cap design of Lando which add lots of realism to the actual character reference. Other than Lando which interest me, the new Cloud Car Pilots also excite me greatly with this new outfit design which I sure hope to see more of its appearance next time. You can take a look at the detailed back printing and three of these minifigures contain alternate facial expressions. You can view how these alternate facial appearances turn out when you put them at the front. These neutral minifigures are also where I begin to pay more attention such as the charismatic Lando Calrissian. Till this date, he had appeared in a total of 6 sets inclusive of the recent Solo Movie. You can see how much it had improved from one of the older variant. Lobot had only appeared twice and one of it is the SW Planet Series. Can you guess which is which? The Cloud City Guard or otherwise known as the Bespin Guard are actually from the same 75146 Star Wars Advent Calendar 2016. Any difference at all? The antagonists minifgures Lastly, let's take a closer look at these antagonist minifigures. From left to right: they are Stormtroopers, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, IG-88 (bounty hunter) and Ugnaught. Among these lot, my favourite is the new Boba Fett design. It had the same arm print on the side of the arms (both side), which also lead me wonder how much SW fans remember one of the most expensive detailed printed Boba Fett back in 2003 from the very same Cloud City. This re-release of the same improved variant is so much nicer. Likewise for Ugnaught, it is nice to see a rather different print variant to see an assorted variety. You can take a look at the detailed back printing and four of these minifigures when removed the helmets also contain alternate facial expressions. You can take a closer look at the parts from Darth Vader and Boba Fett when they are being taken apart. As far as I remembered, Ugnaught had only appeared once in recent 2016 while, IG-88 (bounty hunter) had appeared thrice and the infamous Boba Fett (bounty hunter) had appeared in 15 times from its young child appearance to the nasty mercenary. The stormtroopers are commonly available. I did not own a recent Darth Vader design, so this built and design was new to me when I compare my existing Darth Vader with this updated design. Similarly, I had also put other Mandalorian variants together as well which I hope you will like it. The entire building content for Packet 1 The completed built for Packet 1 The packet 1 focused largely on the building of the Landing Platform and it include Lobot. This building process is relatively fast and easy since it largely rely on plates and bricks. The entire building content for Packet 2 The completed built for Packet 2 I am particularly enjoyed building this packet. Packet 2 merely focused on the built of Slave I and in this packet contain Lando and Boba Fett. The built is a mixture of few technic bricks to induce playability accompanied with the system bricks. The entire building content for Packet 3 The completed built for Packet 3 Packet 3 is building the foundation of Cloud City and it only made up of large 2x6 bricks and beyond. This process took me less than 10 minutes to complete and is the easiest among all packets. It felt abit of an early timeout for me. The entire building content for Packet 4 The completed built for Packet 4 Packet 4 focused on laying the base and plates for the Banquet Room section. It also include two stormtroopers in this packet. The entire building content for Packet 5 The completed built for Packet 5 Packet 5 focused on laying down the interior and various fittings within the banquet room section. This also include placing the key furniture and decorations. This stage also largely made me applied lots of stickers which is nice and understandable. At the same time, it does give me a strange feeling that I know it will cause peeling problem over the course of time. This packet include the minifigures of Han Solo and Princess Leia. The entire building content for Packet 6 The completed built for Packet 6 Packet 6 focused on building the grand entrance of the Landing Platform which will lead to the interior of Cloud City. This also include a R2-D2 droid. The entire building content for Packet 7 The completed built for Packet 7 Packet 7 focused on laying the base and plates for the Interrogation chamber, Garbage Processing room and Twin-Pod Cloud Car hangar section. The entire building content for Packet 8 The completed built for Packet 8 Packet 8 focused on laying the surrounding structure for the Interrogation chamber, Garbage Processing room and Twin-Pod Cloud Car hangar section. It also include a small built of the staircase for the Carbon Freeze Chamber. This packet contain two Cloud City Guards and Chewbacca. The entire building content for Packet 9 The completed built for Packet 9 Packet 9 focused on laying the surrounding room details for the Interrogation chamber, Garbage Processing room and Twin-Pod Cloud Car hangar section. This packet also contain IG-88, C-3PO and Ugnaught. The entire building content for Packet 10 The completed built for Packet 10 Packet 10 focused on laying the top overview of the Cloud City playset which represent closely as a micro-built from afar. In addition, which I did not take from this photo, is the four top rows that divide distinctively into four sections. The entire building content for Packet 11 The completed built for Packet 10 Time out from the building of Cloud City. Because packet 11 is now focusing on building the Twin-Pod Cloud Car. This packet also include the two Cloud Car Pilots. The entire building content for Packet 12 The completed built for Packet 12 Packet 12 is building up the Carbon Freeze Chamber with the extensive use of technic bricks to demonstrate its playability. It also include another set of variants of Han Solo and Princess Leia. The entire building content for Packet 13 The completed built for Packet 13 The final packet 13 is focusing on building the sky corridor which illustrate the mighty lightsaber duel. This last packet also contain Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker to complete the overall building process. It was an awesome great bricking experience to complete this whole set over 3 nights at a very enjoyable pace. The completed built of the Cloud City The Cloud City is incredibly big at a height of 16cm high, 58cm wide and 56cm depth (which you need a very deep depth to push your whole playset in your display safely with a minimum of 60cm). The Cloud City is suspended high among the pastel clouds of the planet, Bespin. It is a floating metropolis of sophisticated beauty and political freedom. The Cloud City exists not only as a mining colony, extracting valuable Tibanna gas from the depths of the giant planet, but also secretly served as a sanctuary for those trying to escape from the Empire. Next, I like to show and demonstrate how sturdy this whole playset structure is and how easy it can be used to carry around after removing those components. Aerial view of the Cloud City playset with the removable components taken out Bottom view of the Cloud City playset I can hold it with one hand and the overall built is firm After seeing how strong and sturdy the whole playset is, let's dwell into the rest of the playing features. Mind you, I was holding with one hand and taking the camera on the other hand to snap this shot. The massive detailed playset is divided into 4 key structured sections of Cloud City where each depict an iconic recognisable scenes from the movie. From the bird eye view, there’s a landing platform accompanied with Boba Fett’s Slave I ship, a detailed promenade, a banquet room, a garbage processing room with incinerator, and a sensor balcony for epic Luke Skywalker vs. Darth Vader lightsaber duels. There’s also a carbon freeze chamber with a function to ‘freeze’ Han Solo in carbonite storage, an interrogation chamber and prison cell, a secondary landing platform for the Twin-Pod Cloud Car, and etc. Let me bring you to the respective playing components and assortment together. The completed built of Slave I This is the completed built of the updated design of LEGO Slave I. Some details which I found in the instruction manual about Slave I. It is a modified Firespray-31-class patrol and attack craft. It is originally piloted by his father, Jango Fett before he was killed by Mace Windu during the Clone Wars. The max speed for Slave I is 1000km per/hr. The minifigure scale Slave I is pretty compact and iconic at an instant glance and if this was priced at a regular price tier like about USD$49.99 or equivalent. I will buy this in a heartbeat. TLG had also previously produced and appeared in 5 different production timelines. Starting from the first LEGO 7144 Slave I in 2000, LEGO 7153 Jango Fett's Slave I in 2002, LEGO 6209 Slave I in 2006, LEGO 8097 Slave I in 2010 and the recent LEGO UCS 75060 Slave I in 2015. You can take a moment and enjoy this close up views of the Slave I from the aerial view, side view and back view. It also contain advanced weapon system like the dual blasters and stud shooters. The ventilation shaft can also be adjusted by moving inwards or outwards. When Slave I is about to depart, the forward thrust is adjusted upwards. All flight controls of Slave I can be controlled from a single cockpit. Most importantly, Slave I has the capability to carry the precious cargo. The completed built of the Twin-Pod Cloud Car This is the completed built of the updated design of LEGO Cloud Car. Some details which I found in the instruction manual about Twin-Pod Cloud Car. It is designed by Bespin Motors and its sole purpose is to patrol the skies surrounding Cloud City. It is powered by a kryomaster dual ion engine system and is capable of max speed of 1500km per/hr. In my personal opinion, the Cloud Car ought to have re-released eons ago. Well, it may not be a very iconic fighter spacecraft but it is definitely an iconic sight in Cloud City for its law enforcement. Till this date, TLG had only produced the Cloud Car once in 2002 with the 7119 Twin-Pod Cloud Car. Like Slave I above, I could easily imagine seeing this selling for USD$29.99 or equivalent. I will love to see this kind of built being made available. You can take a moment and enjoy this close up views of the Twin-Pod Cloud Car from the front view, side view, back view and bottom view. It is capable of sitting two pilots from both sides. Once you open up the door, you can see the cockpit and to be honest, I find the cockpit to be very tight with no spare room to maneuver around. Twin-Pod Cloud Ca r and Boba Fett’s Slave I ship I am very happy that both of these models are built into minfigures' sizing. So glad that it was not micro built and these two are pivotal and iconic to Cloud City playset. Of course, nothing stop TLG to bundle both of these design to market as some form of chase scenes for future set development. Section 1 - Landing Platform Section 1 features a Landing Platform with a sliding entrance door (closed) and it can be easily slide open to reveal the glowing welcoming interior. It can land perfectly for Boba Fett’s Slave I ship, plus it can also accommodate Twin-Pod Cloud Car as well as an A-Wing Starfighter. Looking from the front of the playset, it really set apart from any other typical playset with the grand landing entrance. If you wish to have a separate landing pad or simply to make use of this playing feature for your other play scenes, this is not directly attached to the playset and it is placed right underneath it. Section 2 - Cloud City Walkway and Banquet Room Section 2 features a walkway leading to a fine dining room with a table, seats for five minifigures. Within the room also contain a decorative Cloud City micro build, a waiting lounge with a transparent sculpture and 2 chairs and a promenade with tree sculpture, mural relief and opening doorways leading to other parts of the model such as the maintenance room which I think it is so. Of course, not to forget about the heroes being ambushed like this scene make up. Section 3 - Epic Lightsaber Duels and Carbon Freeze Chamber Section 3 features the first part of the Epic Lightsaber Duel which include a sensor balcony with railing and swing-out function, plus a maintenance cabin with opening round window for epic Lightsaber duels. The maintenance cabin can also be pulled away from the structure as well. You can take a moment to admire the nicely built of the sky corridor (sensor balcony) as well as the condensing unit or bunch of antennas which I think it is. I have included two classic scenes over here and here to illustrate the lightsaber duel. This is also the part where Luke discover you-know-who. The next feature include a Carbon Freeze Chamber with lever-activated ‘freeze’ function and the controls are operated by the Ugnaught. Han Solo is the brave 'volunteer', well not exactly but he's being volunteered for this exercise and a safe passage for Boba Fett to secure his bounty. You can view the close-up details of this Carbon Freeze Chamber over here. I have not built the former set (75137) in order to establish a comparison but this Carbon Freeze Chamber is a much better design with the full circumference. I was also secretly hoping that the Carbon Freezing transformation will be a complete chamber instead of a magic show. Playability wise is there and I can understand the constrain which mark it as a decent effort. Section 4 - Interrogation chamber, Garbage Processing room and Twin-Pod Cloud Car hangar Section 4 features a dark-red corridor with the scarlet entrance leading to the grim Interrogation chamber with a turning interrogation chair, plus a tiny standing prison cell. The same corridor entrance also lead to the Garbage Processing room with a conveyor belt. At the end of the corridor, you can enter the empty hangar which have the space to dock the Twin-Pod Cloud Car with repair tools and weapon rack. Did you also notice the hangar come with a secret trapdoor? The Cloud City playset is now proudly kept in my display cabinet Are you pleased with this new UCS playset or simply having mixed feeling after seeing the review? To conclude, this is one of the most enjoyable D2C Star Wars playset after seen some of the past release such as Death Star and Ewok Village. I originally had mixed feelings about this playset. After building it, I had actually enjoyed the sheer details and little cookie crumbs spread across the entire set and you need to have an eagle eye to spot those tiny details. LEGO normally don't release playsets and specialised in vehicle and spacecrafts in LEGO SW universe. Mega playsets such as this Betrayal at Cloud City is hard to come by. To sum it up, I had enjoyed playing and building with it very much. It also does make a decent display piece and it will be even better if it can be housed on a glass table with 360 degrees field angle. The minifigures are amazingly a lot. Although some minifigures are repetitive, but I can accept it as those are key characters in this intriguing plot. More importantly, the reason why I felt so happy to see this set is because I had never got the chance to own the very first 10123 Cloud City. This is also one of the main contributing factor to my high liking due to nostalgia value. Of course, if TLG is to market this entire set separately. Like a playset add on by selling the four different sections into four modular packaging. That will certainly decouple the entire cost of the set by buying them each sold separately. You can even buy those Twin-Pod Cloud Car or Slave I separately or together. Then if that's possible, it will be even harder for us to see such a release breaking into multiple different products for this particular movie scene. This playset works well for me and I hope you have enjoyed reading and viewing some of these big images which I had a hard time making sure it fit within most of my white background. Please note that all opinions and content shown in this Eurobricks pictorial review is from 'WhiteFang' and is not meant to represent LEGO official views. It is purely stated to share as a vantage point of a reviewer. Summary review Playability: 9/10 (Outstanding and fun playability with endless integration of the recognisable iconic movie scenes.) Design: 9/10 (Great design and timeless classic of a Star Wars OT Film.) Price: 8/10 (Price is quite pricey but for the parts and the assortment in it. You need to be a real Star Wars fan and love playsets in order to pay for this price. The minifigures alone do not warrant you enough reason to plunge into it.) Overall: 8.7/10 (I enjoyed the whole building experience and the playing experience after I had completed it. It is more fun to do role playing than to display it on the shelf.) I gave it a "5" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? [Not exactly sure if you guys can vote as there's a bug in the forum software in Star Wars Theme] I hope every one of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Criticisms are strongly welcomed. Pictures can be found in My Flickr

  5. This set is definitely nice and I am looking forward to pick this up and cast it as the leader for the Mirkwood Spiders in the 79000. Thanks for sharing another fun review with us.
  6. While the RC LEGO cars will be a step forward to increase the playability in this new realm. I suppose this could be an another innovative start to embrace technologies with bricks together (similar to how TLG start with Mindstorms, for example). I just find it quite disappointing in the areas of actual smooth control. It doesn't really appear that it can be controlled smoothly and I guess there's lots of practice involved in this. I am neutral on this and I am probably not getting it because it is not a nice set which I will like to display and the SRP is definitely on the high side for me. Thanks for sharing this review with us.
  7. It's great to see such an awesome fun article. It had been a long time since we last see such masterpieces from you. The Classic 6380 and the newest 60204 are certainly the best in my books. Glad to see you around, buddy.
  8. Nice review! I am looking forward to pick this up especially for the towering iconic areas. It will be nice to have this in my collection and it can complement with my 2010 set.
  9. Nice review. I had the old Hogwarts Express and I am still thinking if I like to have this in my collection. The train head is much nicer in this improved version plus there's a King Cross train station platform. The old ones had an excellent minifigs assortment, whereas these are quite average in my opinion. However, it appears the passenger cabin can be integrated with the old one together to make the Hogwarts Express longer. I am still undecided yet largely due to space constrain and other sets' considerations. Your review does helps in deciding and I will wait till this set is in stores.

  11. Ecclesiastes, thanks for sharing this lovely review. Glad to see this ready to fight the evil lurking in the universe. I had watched the cartoon back in the 1980s and enjoyed my childhood very much. Seeing this actual Voltron being built into a Defender kind of put me in a mixed warm feeling. It's great to see an iconic childhood toy re-appearing and at the same time, feeling impressed with the integration of the 'tigers' forming Voltron. It increased the playability and stay true to the original. This set is definitely in the eyes of Voltron fans and if you guys are wondering what is this cartoon all about? Check out Netflix for viewing. Meanwhile, I have my very own childhood Voltron toy to share.
  12. Thanks guys! I am glad you enjoyed seeing my display set up. Now you know my secret. and it was previously in storage containers whenever I need it. I definitely not comfortable on cutting onto my tempered glass even though I don't know to imagine a small CPU fan could help? That's interesting and I am just curious on how exactly it can be done? I never opened my curtains and those curtains in my room are specially made for sun block. On top of keeping 'myself' and others out of the room. How do we exactly create positive air pressure other than creating vacuum seals from the window edge.
  13. Thanks makoy! Will love to see your display too. It will be awesome to see your display overview. Yes, I fully agree that this kind of display set up is very prone to dust. To minimise and slow the process, I never opened my window and always keep my room door closed whenever I am not inside the room. Hopefully this can help to slow down the dusting accumulation.
  14. Dear all, I had finally achieved my dream which many AFOLs could love to dream of. It is having your own LEGO Room to house your collection. Well, I am very pleased that my new home had indeed accomplished a LEGO room which I had been populating it after the past few months with my built sets. Without my wife blessing, I will never have a private space in my very home (limited real estate space in Singapore). Hence, I am very elated and blessed to have this. Unfortunately, I still have many sets which are still mint. I really hope to build them slowly and enjoy the building process along the way. Below are some of the images of my very own WhiteFang's LEGO Studio and this is also the place where I does my reviewing too. I hope you enjoyed viewing them as much as sharing my joy in achieving my first step in my AFOL journey. 15. Updated the first post with the highly detailed minifigures' posters.
  16. Thanks everyone for your thoughts and comments. It was enjoyable reading your posts. Why don't you get the Batman CMFs too? Or you aren't into Batman? Unfortunately, many of u doesn't have a chance to get Percival Grave in the wild unless you happen to encounter a sealed box which is about to await its opening. Yes, indeed a marketing success from a revenue perspective. Likewise, I am hoping there will be a Series 2 which will include other Professors of Hogwarts. It will be awesome and is something I hope it will extend beyond the first series. Now, I understand what you meant. However, the 4737 Quidditch Match and 75956 Quidditch Match are the closest 'battle packs' which you can ever have. Thanks! Unfortunately, that's my single biggest complaint. Same sentiments. It could be perfect for Nagini to be able to stay on stud. I suppose to make Nagini look realistic like a python size. The depth of the whole body could be better with its wider and thicker appearance. Interesting. I really don't think they had used a Doctor Who license. Could it be a coincidence in terms of reference material? Yes, Queenie Goldstein is the only minifigure to wield the black wand. There are 6 different kinds of coloured wands in the series.
  17. Thanks guys for your comments and thoughts! It's great to see you being excited of this upcoming series. The distribution ratio of making Percival Graves in just one per box is a result of creating an artificial shortage in view of actual demand. Brilliant marketing strategy from revenue's perspective. Great to know that you love the past and present comparison and unfortunate that Cho Chang's skin complexion was captured wrongly. No, I don't recall or record the positioning of the 'exclusive' minifigure. I really don't think it will be that accurate, to be honest in all sealed boxes. I am surprise that you even thought of army building any characters? I don't think there's a specific need for army building unless you referring to mass gathering of parts for specific minifigures. Thanks Herisanmi. I am planning to make an Unikitty review but I haven't actually bought any Unikitty stuff or sealed box yet. I am trying to work out something and I will hope for the best to make this as a priority for reviewing as part of my personal reviewing experience. There were a strong interest of Unikitty fans where it was first sighted in Billund when we were there earlier in end May. Unfortunately, there's no alternate facial expressions and these are only restricted to a handful of them. An illusion of presenting the sealed box distribution is "Hey I have 2 complete sets of 16 Harry Potter Universe minifigures and 1 complete set of Fantastic Beasts minifigures. What a wonderful surprise". Punt intended. The Hogwarts Express is an original set which was released in 2010. You can find a review of 4841 Hogwarts Express which was one of my early reviewing work for reading pleasure. It's a secret bonus character. Thanks Holodoc. Glad you enjoyed this review! I will seriously consider your feedback on the lighting and let me think of how I can implement it. I understand you are not keen to spend that much amount of money for a minifigure but considering this is an licensed premium minifigure. You might want to reconsider getting those that of significant interest to your priceless collection. Don't have to buy them all but buy what you really need. Interesting point on Dobby's short legs. Sorry that I am unable to fulfill your request as both of that sets are currently still in their boxes and I don't have that character lying around in my collection where I can just take it for photo shooting.
  18. Thank you very much for your thoughts and comments for this review. I appreciate the forthcoming comments for the review. I am also glad you had enjoyed reading and viewing those images. It is fun to put this altogether. I have updated the review slightly including scanning a better resolution of the posters and packet. I get what you meant by the lack of sharpness. In this case, it is a silhouette of the tiny insignia on the torso and it is not as sharp as before where the insignia was quite big. Yes, the lack of their insignia is quite disappointing without the Houses' origin for the grey sweaters but yet is generic enough. I am sure you will find suitable parts for your future MOCs and I am looking forward to see what amazing things you can do with them. Indeed, I am looking forward to see more of the new skirt pieces expanding into other themes/sets as well. You ought to have all of the six different colour wands. It is so much nicer to have so many variants. Apart from Luna and Cho's plain medium legs, Neville also have generic black legs too. Me included! However, I don't think it will happen anytime soon especially since LOTR sales didn't do so well previously plus there isn't any upcoming movies to tie-in. Updated the word error and also a special picture for you for your request (updated in the review), To sum it up, no matter what nice or bad things you felt about the series, it is all about customising and making it right to your own personal preference. I don't think TLG can be so perfect in their design expectations as many of us had various level of expectations as well. Thanks CopMike! I am glad I had persuaded you to get a full box in a magical instant. I did not aware of the clone brands which is capable of doing such part. I am glad TLG had done their own version. I am glad the wands' original state interest you as much as it surprises me too. 10/10 is definitely on the high side and scoring is quite personal (based on my own judgment). I equate all as a whole series as it is. I don't think it fare badly on the design aspect for the minifigures despite of lack of back printing for some minifigures as it also compensate with new parts/accessories. If I were to rate the minifigure individually, then it won't be a case of 10/10 each and I will probably take an average out of it. I am viewing as the whole of the series and minor dissatisfaction on the design is not enough to sway me to give a lower score. Hence, I stand by my own personal rating. If one does not agree the scoring or rating, the person may take it up and express in the form of their own reviewing where the person is free to express his/her opinion. Glad the past minifigures had helped to show the progress in the minifigures' designs for the very same characters through the course of time.
  19. Welcome to Eurobricks. It’s kind of nostaligic to see my past decade of reviewing work re-appear again. I am glad the information given is still relevant and of use. The Giant Chess Set is still one of the most solid design ever released, despite of many other renditions. I haven’t been able to restore my Giant Chess Set and it is in quite an unfortunate state. This review is a good memory of what it had used to been. Enjoy your stay and see you around. WhiteFang
  20. Thanks Jim for the awesome technical in-depth Technic review coverage. There are so much details and insights for this supercar model. Plus the fact, that you are there for the Fan Media event too. It helps to give some coverage on the event itself. Great work and appreciate all of the hardwork which you have put in.
  21. Dear Eurobricks Community, I am very pleased to share with all of you my newest review work on the LEGO Minifigures - Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Series 1. Eurobricks won't be the only community doing this review and I hope my latest reviewing work continue to excite all of you in this highly anticipated LEGO Minifigures Theme. Feel free to leave your thoughts and comments. ps: I am currently exhausted and there's definitely editorial mistakes which I will come to it when I am awake the next day. WhiteFang

  23. Hello everyone, I am very pleased to present my latest reviewing adventure on this brand new licensed LEGO Minifigures - Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Series 1 which will be available worldwide in August 2018. First of all, I would like to give my thanks to The LEGO Group (TLG) which include the LEGO CEE and LEGO Collectable Minifigures Design Team and our very own EB CopMike. Most importantly, my wife (Belun) for allowing me to review this series in peace over the past weekend. I can't believe I had completed 27 exhaustive LEGO pictorial reviews including this current one, solely for the coverage of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series / LEGO Minifigures Theme throughout the past eight years. Following Eurobricks tradition for all of the past Collectable Minifigures polls once more, it started with a humble beginning of Series 1 followed by Series 2 in the year 2010 and it continue to spread like wildfire with another three strong waves of minifigures craze in the year 2011, putting Series 3, Series 4 and Series 5 in an excellent harvesting year. In the year 2012, we celebrated with Series 6, Series 7 and recent Series 8. With the year 2013, we have the Series 9, Series 10 and Series 11. In the year 2014, we seen the LEGO Movie Series, The first LEGO Simpsons Series and Series 12. In the year 2015, we had the Series 13, LEGO Simpsons Series 2 and Series 14. In the year 2016, we seen the Series 15, LEGO Disney Series 1 and Series 16. In the year 2017, we have the LEGO Batman Movie Series, Series 17 and LEGO Ninjago Movie Series. Beginning of year 2018, we see the LEGO Batman Movie Series 2 and Series 18. Now I would like to invite everyone to cast their vote for LEGO Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Series 1 poll statistics. Name: 71022 LEGO Minifigures - Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Series 1 Theme: LEGO System / Collectable Minifigures / Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Year: 2018 Minifigs: 22 unique minifigures Price for 1 box: USD N.A, GBP N.A, EURO N.A, SGD N.A Price for 1 packet: USD N.A, GBP N.A, EURO N.A, SGD N.A Resources: Brickset, BrickLink An image of an 71022 LEGO Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Series 1 The LEGO Minifigures - Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Series 1's main colour schema is a beloved mixture of misty night scene which set between Hogwarts and New York. [Reference 1] [Reference 2] [Reference 3] [Reference 4] What could possibly lurk within these mysterious sealed packets? The highly anticipated new Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts licenses finally made its way to CMFs with awesome excitement This is the first ever LEGO Minifigures series to break new grounds to include the first ever 22 unique LEGO minifigures in a series. This new series is not the traditional LEGO Minifigures Series and instead TLG had brought us a splendid treat for Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts fans through this amazing minifigures' line up, featuring unique named characters. Despite some of the characters' rendition, it is welcoming to see most of the characters in their new attire as well as equipping them with new medium short legs for these 'child' characters in Year 1 to 2 during Hogwarts. TLG had previously already indulged us with Batman Movie Series and Disney Series from their license theme. Well, for the minifigures theme to include the universe of Harry Potter characters and the new Fantastic Beasts characters without the need to buy a set is indeed marvelous. The LEGO Harry Potter theme had previously appeared from 2001 to 2004 where the minifigures are still in the traditional yellow minifigure tone. Then in 2005 to 2007, we start to see Harry Potter minifigures in flesh tone. I was one of the fortunate fans who had managed to buy LEGO Harry Potter sets when it was re-released from 2010 to 2011. Thereafter, we had not seen any Harry Potters sets until just recently where Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts are packaged together to form under the LEGO Wizarding World. I do not know if there will be a future series for this theme and the coining of Series 1 in this theme is merely to serve as a continuation if there is ever plans for one. Past licensed series are normally not just one-off. A note, large portion of the characters' references are linked to harrypotter.wikia.com for additional background information on the named characters. IMPORTANT: Please note that the naming for all 22 minifigures, where applicable, that I have use for this review are likely to be official TLG minifigures naming for the LEGO Minifigures - Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Series 1. General Statistics for 71022 LEGO Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Series 1 I have decided to shift my distribution ratio to the top of the review, due to extensive scrolling of 22 minifigures' characters coverage plus I have received feedback of my reviewing format which I hope will be useful. I have shared my thoughts and views at the end of each minifgures' coverage. Below is the combination which I have received from my box, 1 Percival Graves 2 Luna Lovegood (s) 2 Professor Sybill Trelawney (s) 2 Harry Potter (Invisibility Cloak) (s) 2 Credence Barebone (s) 3 Harry Potter (Hogwarts outfit) (s) 3 Hermione Granger (s) 3 Ron Weasley (s) 3 Draco Malfoy (s) 3 Neville Longbottom (s) 3 Cho Chang (s) 3 Dean Thomas (s) 3 Lord Voldemort (s) 3 Dobby (s) 3 Cedric Diggory (s) 3 Professor Filius Flitwick (s) 3 Mad-Eye Moody (s) 3 Professor Albus Dumbledore (s) 3 Newt Scamander (s) 3 Tina Goldstein (s) 3 Jacob Kowalski (s) 3 Queenie Goldstein (s) New medium movable short legs A great highlight in this series is the new minifigure element of movable short legs. I had placed all three minifigures for height comparison. The new medium short minifigure is mid-tier between a regular and short legs minifigures. It can walk and sit like a regular minifigures where the short leg minifigures are not able to achieve. It is so versatile and useful, which helps to increase playability for the traditional short-leg minifigures. I noticed the traditional short-legs is still in circulation which will also bring me a thought, if the new part is meant to supersede the existing part or to complement the array of minifigures' parts. In this case, I really hope this new medium short legs will be made available in other LEGO themes as well. Different new wand sticks Another wonderful new highlight in this series is the inclusion of these new wands' parts. Among the 22 unique minifigures, there are 3 characters who don't wield a magical wand and they are Dobby, Jacob Kowalski and Credence Barebone. To my surprise, these new wands contain an extra piece and you will require to use some force to take the wands' mold apart. As of now, the new wands are available in six different colours and they are very useful minifigure accessory. The wands can be wielded forward like what I had done with my minifigures and it won't hurt the arm. I am very tempted to replace the oversize wands that I have in my current collection. These new wands are prove to be useful indeed. In addition, if you bought a box and bother to take it out in an organised manner. You will be amazed by the numbers of extra wands which will be useful to give you a head start to do your own replacement exercise subsequently. Front view comparison of current LEGO Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Series 1 with the rest of the past CMFs series I have placed all 28 different minifigures packets as part of my overall comparison. From the above aerial image, you can see an impressive transformation of LEGO CMFs Series over the long course of time. It is so delightful to be able to see all of the assorted designs series at one glance. The LEGO Minifigures Theme is a force not to be reckoned with and remain a very strong contender in the TLG product range since 2010. 28 different releases including regional exclusives are not easy to replicate the craze in many LEGO CMFs followers. So, are you still following the CMFs craze since Day 1? Take a closer look at the following images. This is the front view of the LEGO Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Series 1 packet, while this shows the back view of it. This is an image that shows the back view comparison for all of these packets. Simple reminder to all of my regular CMFs readers. If you are intending to collect the precious and hard-to-find minifigures, hone your skills for the touch and feel method. This is an important skill set in order to locate the minifigures that you want without spending too much money by randomly acquire them, especially so when you are intending to buy large quantities. Your sole mission is to memorise and remember the minifigures assortments for each of the specialised designs. Isolate and identify the most unique accessory or accessories for the particular minifigure. From there, eliminate the torso, head and legs and feel for the other parts. The sole disadvantage of this method is that much time would be wasted if the minifigures that you are looking for have been taken from the box. You might also end up with sore numb thumbs after feeling them. Please be careful and treat the packets with respect when you do the above. Reason being, there are many fragile and soft parts in this series. Front view of the LEGO Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Series 1 promotional poster - updated Back view of the LEGO Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Series 1 promotional poster - updated The first 16 minifigures are dedicated to the Harry Potter books' characters while the next 6 minifigures are dedicated to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. It's very uncommon for TLG to dedicate 2-in-1 theme in a single release even though I must admit it is a welcoming and yet stretch move. As you flip to the back of the promotional poster, you will notice a set of simple instructions to guide those who are not familiar with the fixing of minifigures' accessories built and cape placement. These are some form of basic instructions to guide our very young builders who may not be too familiar with these building parts. The simple illustration is to ensure those minifigures are fixed correctly. 1) Harry Potter (Hogwarts Outfit) Without further ado, let's bring out the first licensed minifigure design from this series. This the main protagonist and leading character based on JK Rowling's Harry Potter books. I grew up with Harry Potter movies, similar to Lord of The Rings movies back in 2000. I had unfortunately missed LEGO Harry Potter sets then, as these were in my dark ages. Back in 2010, I had a chance to rekindle with LEGO Harry Potter and this time round, the brand new Wizarding World in 2018. Harry Potter had appeared a total of 25 different variants till this date and is arguably the most common minifigure ever released. Despite of its numerous re-releases, this is actually the first short leg equivalent of Harry Potter and is donned in the Hogwarts robe outfit. Harry Potter was a half-blood wizard, one of the most famous wizards of modern times. He was the only child and son of James and Lily Potter who are both members of the original Order of the Phoenix. Harry's birth was overshadowed by a prophecy and this caused the Potter family to go into hiding. Lord Voldemort made his first vain attempt to circumvent the prophecy when Harry was an infant. During that attempt, he murdered Harry's parents as they tried to protect him, but this unsuccessful attempt led to Lord Voldemort's first downfall. This downfall marked the end of the First Wizarding War, and to Harry henceforth being known as the "Boy Who Lived" which will lead to a series of blockbuster movies ever since. Parts assortment The parts assortment are slightly above average. The medium short legs for the minifigure is very well designed and I prefer this black suave hairstyle much over than the older appearance. The white owl is a great re-introduction and owls from the Harry Potter theme are coated with nice details. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front, side and back view. Different variants of Harry Potter Visiting Gringott's Bank How can I help you? Harry, this is Buckbeak We love your owls collection 2) Hermione Granger The next in line is Hermione Granger in medium short legs. Hermione Granger was a Muggle-born witch. At a very young age, she learned that she was a witch, and had been accepted into Hogwarts School. She was sorted into Gryffindor House. Hermione Granger possessed a brilliant academic mind and proved to be a gifted student in almost every subject that she studied. She is the original trio which accompanied Harry Potter in their adventures. Hermione Granger had appeared a total of 10 different variants till this date. Parts assortment The parts assortment are above average. The hairpiece is a suitable match for her in her Hogwarts robe outfit. I believe this is her pet cat - Crookshanks and it is a brand new cat design among the recent releases of new cats. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front, side and back view. Different variants of Hermione Granger Pets gathering Legendary Gryffindor Knight Visiting Ollivander's store 3) Ron Weasley The next minifigure is the muddleheaded Ron Weasley in medium short legs. Ron Weasley was a pure-blood wizard and is the sixth and youngest son of Arthur and Molly Weasley. He was also the younger brother of Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George, and the elder brother of Ginny. Ron and his sibling lived at the Burrow. Ron had been accepted into Hogwarts School and was sorted into Gryffindor House. He is the original trio which accompanied Harry Potter in their adventures. Ron Weasley had appeared a total of 10 different variants till this date. Parts assortment The parts assortment are above average. The new hairpiece is a nice match in his Hogwarts robe. I believe this is his pet rat - Scabbers and it is a brand new rat design among the recent mouse design in Series 18. You can take a closer look at these rats/mouses in past LEGO designs. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front, side and back view. Different variants of Ron Weasley Get your cats away from me Boarding at King's Cross Station Are you sure this is the best option? The Weasley Family 4) Draco Malfoy The next minifigure is a partial antagonist, Draco Malfoy in medium short legs with his quidditch uniform outfit. Draco Malfoy was a pure-blood wizard and the only son of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy. The son of a Death Eater, Draco was raised to strongly believe in the importance of blood purity. He was sorted into Slytherin House. During his years at Hogwarts, he became friends with Vincent Crabbe, Gregory Goyle, Pansy Parkinson, and other fellow Slytherins. He also developed a rivalry with Harry Potter at a very early age. Draco Malfoy had appeared a total of 8 different variants till this date. Parts assortment The parts assortment are slightly above average. The hairpiece is similar to his past minifigures' design, while the new quidditch uniform is a nice touch and it will serve as a team player in this latest 75956 Quidditch Match. It also has a new dark green broomstick also known as 'Nimbus 2001' as well as the brand new golden snitch. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front, side and back view. Different variants of Draco Malfoy New Team Players 5) Luna Lovegood The next uncommon minifigure is my favourite character known as Luna Lovegood in her medium short legs. Luna Lovegood was a witch, the only child and daughter of Xenophilius and Pandora Lovegood. Her mother accidentally died during Luna's young age and she was subsequently raised by her father, editor of the magazine The Quibbler. Luna had been accepted into Hogwarts School and was sorted into Ravenclaw House. Luna Lovegood had appeared a total of 1 different variants till this date. Parts assortment The parts assortment are excellent. Luna wears a new hairpiece is similar to her past minifigures' design. She also have a new purple sling pouch and a minifigure's skirt around her waist. She also has a dual dazzling facial expression. I am particularly fond of the new 2x3 printed tile of the Quibbler which showcases her origin. At this instance, you might also thought this is a recycled torso in 2010 and I can assure you that the prints are different. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front and back view. Different variants of Luna Lovegood Welcome to Brick Fair I am happy we are going out together 6) Neville Longbottom The next uncommon minifigure is known as Neville Longbottom in his medium short legs. Neville Longbottom is the only child and son of Frank and Alice Longbottom. His parents were well-respected Aurors and members of the original Order of the Phoenix, until they were tortured into insanity by Bellatrix Lestrange. Neville was subsequently raised by his grandmother, Augusta Longbottom. Neville had been accepted into Hogwarts School and was sorted into Gryffindor House. He was an Auror, Director of Magical Security and head of MACUSA's Department of Magical Law Enforcement. At some point, his identity was assumed by Gellert Grindelwald using Human Transfiguration. It is unknown if he was killed or kept in captivity during this time. In this case, we got ourselves two characters' in this packaging. He was a pure or half-blood wizard who was considered to be one of the most powerful and dangerous Dark Wizards of all time, considered to be surpassed only by Tom Riddle or Lord Voldemort in this case. A student at Durmstrang Institute, Grindelwald was expelled for twisted, dark experiments and near-fatal attacks on his fellow students. He later fostered a friendship with a young Albus Dumbledore, making plans to find the Deathly Hallows and lead a Wizarding revolution to end the International Statute of Secrecy, creating a benevolent global hierarchical order led by wise and powerful witches and wizards that dominated Muggles. You will surpass my prowess There's nothing to be afraid of My thoughts on the distribution ratio Based on the distribution, I have achieved one full complete set of 22 one-of-a kind minifigures each, including the very rare Percival Graves which is extremely disappointing. I hate to rant but this distribution ratio is disappointing and I do not understand why that character need to be made so rare. TLG could easily give him an extra count and in this way, we can have two complete sets with just only 16 spares. Now instead of 16 spares, I am left with 38 spares now which is more than twice of the amount. I simply do not understand this logic and this is definitely one of the worst distribution ratio that I had ever seen. My remaining spares based on 22 unique minifigures: 0 Percival Graves 1 Luna Lovegood (s) 1 Professor Sybill Trelawney (s) 1 Harry Potter (Invisibility Cloak) (s) 1 Credence Barebone (s) 2 Harry Potter (Hogwarts outfit) (s) 2 Hermione Granger (s) 2 Ron Weasley (s) 2 Draco Malfoy (s) 2 Neville Longbottom (s) 2 Cho Chang (s) 2 Dean Thomas (s) 2 Lord Voldemort (s) 2 Dobby (s) 2 Cedric Diggory (s) 2 Professor Filius Flitwick (s) 2 Mad-Eye Moody (s) 2 Professor Albus Dumbledore (s) 2 Newt Scamander (s) 2 Tina Goldstein (s) 2 Jacob Kowalski (s) 2 Queenie Goldstein (s) Data Analysis Distribution ratio will determine which minifigure will truly be popular. It is not hard to wonder that now the most incredible rare minifigure in this series is the inconspicuous villain, Percival Grave. The next hard to find will definitely be the 2 in this series which are Luna Lovegood, Professor Sybill Trelawney, Harry Potter (Invisibility Cloak) and Credence Barebone. That's my best bet on which minifigures will be most popular. As there are no generic minifigures' for army builders to tap on, I guess it all boils down to what new parts or accessories to you need to amass. I am sure everyone is eyeing for Percival Grave (suddenly became the hottest character in town), after the Series 18 - Classic Police Officer which has the probability of getting it in 1.66% in a mint untouched sealed box. Well, I strongly believe most of us will be looking for this priceless minifigure for the sake of hoarding it or simply aiming to complete it for the purpose of 22 unique minifigures. So, what's the safest strategy to get it? Just buy a box and be done with it and thank goodness there are many new useful hairpieces, headpieces and accessories. Don't bother to pay high amount for this ridiculous pricing but I am sure the sellers will be pricing this minifigure at all time high since this is one out of 60 in a sealed box. In short, I am extremely disappointed with this current distribution arrangement. What do you think of it? Do you like the overall distribution count? To conclude, based on the probability demonstrated by this review, as an example, here are the summarised results,High probability 1) Harry Potter (Hogwarts outfit) (s) 2) Hermione Granger (s) 3) Ron Weasley (s) 4) Draco Malfoy (s) 5) Neville Longbottom (s) 6) Cho Chang (s) 7) Dean Thomas (s) 8) Lord Voldemort (s) 9) Dobby (s) 10) Cedric Diggory (s) 11) Professor Filius Flitwick (s) 12) Mad-Eye Moody (s) 13) Professor Albus Dumbledore (s) 14) Newt Scamander (s) 15) Tina Goldstein (s) 16) Jacob Kowalski (s) 17) Queenie Goldstein (s)Total range: 85%Each: 5%Low probability 1) Luna Lovegood (s) 2) Professor Sybil Trelawney (s) 3) Harry Potter (Invisibility Cloak) (s) 4) Credence Barebone (s)Total range: 13.33%Each: 3.33% Rare probability (which I encourage you to just buy a box and be done with it)1) Percival Graves Total range: 1.66%Each: 1.66% It is a beautiful treat for fans of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts to own them in CMFs series The LEGO Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Series 1 will be launching on the 1st August 2018 (worldwide) To conclude, the LEGO Minifigures - Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Series 1 Minifigures Series 1 has break new CMFs ground by achieving the impossible of racking 22 unique minifigures' design in a single release with the combination of two iconic movie licenses of having new licensed characters in their variant outfits. The level of sheer expansion of the CMFs has greatly made it to new realms and Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts being one of the premium LEGO Licensed Theme. It has indeed attracted many new and old fans all over the world. has continued successfully surprised us with another new level of design creativity. It greatly excites me for this licensed theme and not many licensed themes excite me this much. With this possibility, I wonder if there's ever an opportunity to see superheroes from Marvel, DC or even Star Wars for that matter ever appear in the CMFs theme? Time will tell. Other than the positive nudge about this series, the greatest sole disappointment in this series is the terrible distribution ratio. Other than that, it could have been an almost perfect ten. Traditional LEGO CMFs series always appeal widely to the masses. One thing for certain is TLG is not really intending to just focus on the traditional stuff. There are already clear signs in the shift in their marketing and design approach. Time will tell if the change in the LEGO CMFs could sustain and continue to appeal to general public and LEGO fans. It is not an easy theme to continue create, design and introduce many new creative and original designs for each new series. The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series or known as LEGO Minifigures Theme shall always be a rare commanding class of their own, which distinguish themselves from regular LEGO Theme and special releases. It has been a very long standing tradition and yet they are able to retain the charm and excitement, until today and I am not out of interest yet. Now with a total of 438 minifigures released for the entire Series 1 to 18, the LEGO Movie Series, LEGO Simpsons Series 1 to 2, Disney LEGO Minifigures, LEGO Batman Movie series 1 to 2, LEGO Ninjago Movie Series and the current LEGO Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series, not including Mr. Gold which unfortunately I do not have the blessings or lucky stars to own it till this date, and the special exclusive Toy Soldier and Zombie Skateboarder minifigures that can only be obtained through The Minifigures Character Encyclopedia books respectively. At such accelerated releasing rate, I wonder what is everyone's display plan and if they can keep up with the display shelving area for future expansion. For myself, I had already done a nice display for my own CMFs and with this new series, I had maxed out my current display. I will need to work something out in order to accommodate future releases. Meanwhile, I really wonder what exciting new series will TLG have for us. Only time will tell and let's be patient about it. I am confident that it will be worth the wait as always. Summary review Playability: 10/10 (New licensed characters' designs from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts that can be integrated across many new and existing themes/settings.)Design: 10/10 (New medium size movable short legs, wands and many other exciting hairpieces, torsos and accessories.) Price: 6/10 (Pricing notch for SRP is not out but I guess it will be hovering around SGD$6.50 and I highly disliked the distribution ratio.)Overall: 8.7/10 (Ready yourself for this new amazing Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts minifigures to see such an exciting licensed minifigure theme.
