  1. Thanks guys for your comments! The cowboy is more towards teal colour. I am quite certain of it. Sure thing. Freshly out of oven and image is placed as link in the review under parts assortment in Spider Suit Boy. Excellent thought. It could definitely be a suiting hairpiece for Tintin.
  2. Thanks guys for your thoughts and comments. It is certainly great to know what you felt towards this series, be it positive or negative. You are entitled to your opinion. That's an interesting assumption and certainly sounds probable. I sincerely hope the upcoming rumour would also live up to our expectations as well. To tied it up, this single Policeman does somehow coincide with the Highway Man fiesta in Series 17 which was exactly a year ago. It could be part of their extended promotional marketing efforts at the expense of the distribution ratio. Yes, it will definitely boost box sales! But I don't encourage them to do it more. Thanks AmperZand for sharing. The Spider Boy torso contained back printing which somehow evade me. Cactus Girl is green, while Flower Girl is bright green based on the provided links/resources. My Dragon Mountain is currently MSIB and kept away but I will certainly see to it on how I can bring that photo forward without the need to send you one. Come to think of it, I believe the balloon dogs are more like poly-carbonate as you described. It was certainly hard like acrylic? Not the best way to describe what I actually meant on the materials department. Interesting point on the sticky issue and eliminating it. I was not aware of that proposed solution and would certainly like to try it out as well on my other gone-sticky rubbery parts.
  3. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and comments. I can see most of us are feeling excited with these new Series 18. I had also done some updates with my reviews including scanning high resolution of the CMFs poster (front and back) as well as the minifigure packet (front and back). Those images are already updated on the review. In addition, I have also done a few more images which had already embedded in this review. Hope you like them as well, including taking an overall photo of new parts/molds design in this series. I believe this will serve as a good overview of those new parts and hopefully I had captured it accurately. New molds/parts design Reporting for duty You are indeed naughty indeed to be the first few to notice it. I didn't think of inviting March Harriet into the photo though. Thanks Peppy! I didn't know about this reference and it is really cool to see the old LEGO Racers video games being featured in the CMFs. It is not a norm for all minifigures in the CMFs to have back printing in all minifigures production. Until, we see a rampart back printing across all themes and for now, we have to live with those that the designers had chosen to include back printing. I had totally forgotten about Rocket Boy. There are so many of them and likewise for Skeleton Guy as well even though he is semi costume on my listing. Here's the brick costume with short legs, You need to see our leader Hope you like it and without the legs, it make a fine micro racers as well. Just that you need a locking plate to secure the bottom. Wacky Racers Same as you are, I prefer traditional mix but this aren't so bad when it is not completely over specialised. I felt there are many great and fun uses for these minifigures and it is not as restrictive as other theme based like the Halloween, for example. Done and hope you like it. Plants vs Zombies I don't recommend it unless you wish a 1x2 brick inside the cake permanently. I don't dare to try but it can't fit smoothly unless I apply some force onto it which I am very sure it will stuck at the end of it. Like Robert8 had mentioned, there are other unpopular series worst than Series 18, *ahem* Simpsons 2... Draggy, you ought to get it to represent the true Dragon Master! I had that thought before, of skipping a whole specialised theme. I agreed that having a few costume characters like one or two in a traditional series will suffice. With these loud mixture of costume characters across all genres (not just City), I thought is quite a nice idea to have them altogether to brainstorm the best possible costume characters in a series. Or probably, I am deprived of traditional CMFs series since Series 17 and it had been one long year to see Series 18 appearing in the market. Hope you like it. New cowboy in town Yes, exactly.
  4. Thanks kaelthas. Indeed it is. Those are some outstanding specialised parts. Let me try and see if I am able to put together a photo of all these new molds/parts. Thanks makoy! Indeed, but when I first saw the Cactus, it was FF8 for me. However, it is real awesome to see this outstanding design in the CMFs. And *ahem*, it appears you seem to have guessed something from that glued photo. Just testing out the maximum clutch between these bricks.
  5. My favourite is the Unicorn Guy as the whole outfit totally appeal to me of a new Fantasy Kingdom. The Dragon Suit Guy came a close second for me.

  9. Hello everyone, I am very pleased to present my latest reviewing adventure on this exciting and brand new traditional LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 18 which will be available worldwide in April or May 2018. First of all, I would like to give my thanks to The LEGO Group (TLG) which include the LEGO CEE and LEGO Collectable Minifigures Design Team and our very own EB CopMike. Most importantly, my wife (Belun) for tolerating my reviewing hobby over the past weekend. I believe there are many other sites doing this review and feel free to let me know of your thoughts too. I can't believe I had completed 26 exhaustive LEGO pictorial reviews including this current one, solely for the coverage of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series / LEGO Minifigures Theme throughout the past eight years. Following Eurobricks tradition for all of the past Collectable Minifigures polls once more, it started with a humble beginning of Series 1 followed by Series 2 in the year 2010 and it continue to spread like wildfire with another three strong waves of minifigures craze in the year 2011, putting Series 3, Series 4 and Series 5 in an excellent harvesting year. In the year 2012, we celebrated with Series 6, Series 7 and recent Series 8. With the year 2013, we have the Series 9, Series 10 and Series 11. In the year 2014, we seen the LEGO Movie Series, The first LEGO Simpsons Series and Series 12. In the year 2015, we had the Series 13, LEGO Simpsons Series 2 and Series 14. In the year 2016, we seen the Series 15, LEGO Disney Series 1 and Series 16. In the year 2017, we have the LEGO Batman Movie Series, Series 17 and LEGO Ninjago Movie Series. Beginning of year 2018, we see the LEGO Batman Movie Series 2 and now I would like to invite everyone to cast their vote for Series 18 poll statistics. It is a lovely bright colour to commemorate the 40 years of Minifigures celebration accompanied with the festive party mood. They even produced a new colour for the CMFs minifigure baseplate for this joyous occasion. [Reference 1] [Reference 2] [Reference 3] [Reference 4] What could possibly lurk within these mysterious sealed packets? The highly anticipated excitement finally made its traditional appearance in LEGO Minifigures with this brand new Series 18 The LEGO Collectable Minifigures (CMFs) Series 18 is scheduled for worldwide release on 1st April or May 2018. This new Series 17 reminisce and combine the great CMFs tradition which filled with many unexpected wacky original designs and in this case, a large amount of the original CMFs characters are revolved around costume/fantasy based. In this outstanding series, you will see and experience lots of new mould and parts which simply gave the perfect touch for the intended character. I am very glad to see the return of the traditional design of LEGO CMFs and the last one was exactly a year ago for Series 17 which was a wait too long. Despite of the many recent licensed releases or specialised CMFs theme, I am very pleased that the LEGO CMFs Design Team are able to continue to surprise us with many awesome minifigures. This Series 18 is equally capable of standing based on its own merit and able to integrate with past releases of LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series, which is an very important factor to me. I can't gaze upon the crystal ball and determine the future of the LEGO Minifigures Theme as we wildly speculate. I hold very high regards for the LEGO CMFs Design Team and I strongly believe they will continue to surprise us in many endless possibilities in the coming future. IMPORTANT: Please note that the naming for all 16 minifigures, where applicable, that I have use for this review are official TLG minifigures naming for the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 18. Front view comparison of current Series 18 packet with the rest of the past CMFs series I have placed all 27 different minifigures packets as part of my overall comparison. From the above aerial image, you can see an impressive transformation of LEGO CMFs Series over the long course of time. It is so delightful to be able to see all of the assorted designs series at one glance. The LEGO Minifigures Theme is a force not to be reckoned with and remain a very strong contender in the TLG product range since 2010. 27 different releases including regional exclusives are not easy to replicate the craze in many LEGO CMFs followers. So, are you still following the CMFs craze since Day 1? Take a closer look at the following images. This is the front view of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 18 packet, while this shows the back view of it. This is an image that shows the back view comparison for all of these packets. Simple reminder to all of my regular CMFs readers. If you are intending to collect the precious and hard-to-find minifigures, hone your skills for the touch and feel method. This is an important skill set in order to locate the minifigures that you want without spending too much money by randomly acquire them, especially so when you are intending to buy large quantities. Your sole mission is to memorise and remember the minifigures assortments for each of the specialised designs. Isolate and identify the most unique accessory or accessories for the particular minifigure. From there, eliminate the torso, head and legs and feel for the other parts. The sole disadvantage of this method is that much time would be wasted if the minifigures that you are looking for have been taken from the box. You might also end up with sore numb thumbs after feeling them. Please be careful and treat the packets with respect when you do the above. Reason being, there are many fragile and soft parts in this series. Front view of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 18 promotional poster (updated) Back view of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 18 promotional poster (updated) As you flip to the back of the promotional poster, you will notice a set of simple instructions to guide those who are not familiar with the fixing of minifigures' accessories built and cape placement. These are some form of basic instructions to guide our very young builders who may not be too familiar with these building parts. The simple illustration is to ensure those minifigures are fixed correctly. There is also a short promotional feature on LEGO.com/life which involve interactive storytelling through the capture of your mobile phone. Do check it out. 1) Elephant Girl Without further ado, let's bring out the first minifigure design from the Series 18. The Elephant Girl is the first costumed animal in this series and the design captured the elephant features very well. I would imagine many of us will be catching up to acquire this ballerina looking Elephant Girl for their performing act. Even without attaching the ballerina skirt, this minifigure design is able to stand on its own as an elephant costume. Parts assortment The parts assortment are above average. The minifigure is very well designed with the elephant features. The new mouse is another main highlight in this minifigure design. The mouse's tail is rather soft and it can be easily broken if force is applied. The new mouse design is lovely and it kind of gave me a Disney feeling. The ballerina skirt in a different colour is also welcoming. The best thing about this design is the inclusion of dual expressions which show her calm side and her screaming side which likely to be cause by her fear of mouse. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front side and back view. Ballerina Performers Get me out of here Circus performance Don't let that mouse come near me Fabulastic Friends 2) Brick Suit Guy Ever seen a 2x3 red brick walking around as a LEGO mascot? Well, this is no longer a dream. This Brick Suit Guy is simply so LEGO iconic where you definitely need to grab one of these and trust me it will be easily available among the distribution. You could place it in front of the LEGO modular stores or shops to promote the LEGO icon and could be fun to play in your LEGO Town setting. Never mistake this for a clone brick due to the iconic LEGO wordings on each stud. Parts assortment The parts assortment are average. The 2x3 red brick suit is an unique excellent design which encompass the brick and minifigure built in a nice fashion. There is not much accessory other than a 1x1 blue brick tile and a nice suave hairpiece. I could technically regard this minifigure as your regular brick in some form and it could be fun to play it around with imaginative ways like what I had done to him below. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front side and back view. Brick Separator Medical Emergency You need to see our leader 3) Brick Suit Girl Meet the female companion of Brick Suit Guy and is none other than a 2x3 blue brick known as Brick Suit Girl. Both of these minifigures must ideally come in a pair and will be fun to group them together to carry out wacky acts. As briefly mentioned earlier, both of these minifigures are not very hard to find to populate them in your town. It may even serve as a nice original LEGO gift to someone whom could appreciate LEGO. Parts assortment The parts assortment are average. The 2x3 blue brick suit is an unique excellent design which encompass the brick and minifigure built in a nice fashion. There is not much accessory other than a 1x1 red brick tile. I do like the lovely one sided pony hairpiece. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front side and back view. Brick Suit Buddies Glued together Brick Festival 4) Party Clown The next character which we are seeing is the latest funny Party Clown. Accompanied with the long line of unique clowns in the CMFs, this is definitely one of the clown acts which is good with party tricks and he has evidently demonstrated his balloon crafting by putting a few balloon dogs quickly. This is certainly a very nice clown and is comparable with the Series 1 Clown. Parts assortment The parts assortment are excellent especially with the new balloon dogs accessories which are made up of hard ABS. The long orange robe is similar to the LEGO Batsman Movie - Joker. The new clown hat and the red ribbon are some of the nice clown touches in this design. I am very fond of this clown design and I think the designer did a great job to rehash something different. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front side and back view. Who is the best looking clown? Party tricks 5) Firework Guy Let's welcome a big *bang* for the New Year celebration. In order to do this, our Firework Guy is the key to those celebration parties. I do hope he is not the one being placed inside for the actual fireworks. He can be a nice mascot for high energy events like races, countdowns, parties, etc, which you can easily integrate him with the rest. Parts assortment The parts assortment are slightly below average as compared with the rest of the designs. To me, this is pale in comparison as the unique element reside on the firework suit. There is no accompanying accessories but it would be nice to have the minifigure to hold some firework crackers at his disposal. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front side and back view. Flying to the moon and back This rocket is enough to power it up Would you like to watch some fireworks? 6) Birthday Party Girl The Birthday Party Girl is a child LEGO minifigure to illustrate her birthday celebration. Everyone, not just children enjoy a good birthday party and in her case, she could be looking forward to enjoy her very own celebration with her loved ones. To pull a great celebration off, presents must be equally awesome as well. Parts assortment The parts assortment are excellent. There are lots of new accessories in this design, including the new purple balloon which enable the minifigure to grab it well. There are two piece of 1x1 printed sweet savories, party hat and more importantly a 2x2 gift box which allow the user to place small stuff in there that will encase by a 2x2 printed tile. In the past, presents are just 2x2 brick and a printed tile on it. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front side and back view. Lots of presents for the both of you Our granddaughter birthday 7) Dragon Suit Guy The Dragon Suit Guy is epic and is considered my second favourite character in this series. It's amazing to see such a fantasy looking medieval character being potrayed in minifigure scale and dragon fans like myself are equally excited. This will certainly excite army builders including myself and it will be quite fun to see a large amount of aerial dragons taking on the invaders. All we need to do is to replace them with actual weapons instead of fiery firing breath. Parts assortment The parts assortment are outstanding. It would be better if there is a weapon with it. On its own, the entire design was paying homage to the Castle set - 70403 Dragon Mountain. The design also contain dual expressions which reveal a pleasant looking appearance versus an enraged look. It is a lovely touch to see this fiery dragon in LEGO minifigure format. I would love to see an armies of these Dragons marching forward to Kingdoms who felt threatened by the dragons tribe. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front side and back view. Who is the winner? We will end the dragons Who should I serve? Showdown with the flying dragons Dragon might and glory Mother of all Dragons 8) Classic Police Officer This Classic Police Officer is not exactly a regular LEGO CMFs design and it had actually first appeared in 1978 in the 600 Police Car set. This minifigure is featured in the Series 18 to commemorate and celebrate 40 years of Minifigures since its birth. LEGO wasn't all about minifigure before 1978 and it took a radical change since decades after decades. This Classic Police Officer was often appeared in Classic Town era in 1980s and probably able to resonate with AFOLs who grew up in that era. With minifigure designs looking ever so complex, I wonder how many of us still appreciate the vanilla looking minifigure like this Classic Police Officer. Parts assortment The parts assortment are average and the best part of this design is the inclusion of the printed tile of LEGO set - 600 Police Car. This minifigure is pure classic and there's no back printing or dual facial expressions. It's just mere old Classic Town looking and to my surprise it's hard to believe in 2018 that I can felt and touch a retro looking design in modern times without the age and smell of vintage. You can view the plain old back view and side view of the minifigure. Paying homage to Classic Police Classic Police Town Maintain law and order Classic Town 9) Spider Suit Boy The Spider Suit Boy is a very well designed minifigure because when I first opened the packet and out it jump a big spider. I did not expect the spider to look rather too big for my taste as I am wondering what's made up of the spider legs behind. I thought it could be just a few LEGO parts being put together quickly. A jumpy spider is not something that I have expected and it is a very nice touch for this design. Parts assortment The parts assortment are above average. You get a very detailed spider looking outfit which could even be better than Spiderman if he ever need a new arch-enemy. The back of the spider is top notch but please be mindful that is made up of soft ABS plastic and I suspect it might get sticky over the course of time. The black spider is common accessory whereas the headpiece which cast the spider eyes are some nice overall touch. Not to forget that this minifigure also contain dual expressions which one of which feature a smirk look. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front side and back view. I also like to add that this minifigure contain back printing at his torso. Spooky Trio Spooky Family Are you joining the party? Hiking along Mirkewood Trail 10) Birthday Cake Guy Any birthday without a birthday cake with it, would be a miserable failure. In this case, our Birthday Cake Guy never fail to impress with everyone through his surprising act or food feature. In this design, you may able to interpret him as the main star of the birthday party, or someone who want to surprise others through the cake stunt, or a wedding groom giving his bride the night to remember or simply a food mascot. I know this is for a birthday context but I can't help to think the other endless possibilities of playing around with this fellow. Parts assortment The parts assortment are above average. You get a very detailed looking cake which enable you to place any regular minifigure in it. The minifigure is coated half the body with cake cream and the other decent half with his party outfit and hat. I got to love that wide happy jovial smile. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front side and back view and the extended all rounded view of the man himself outside of the cake. Wedding Surprise Surprise, everyone! What is this man doing inside my cake? Birthday Party celebration for the children 11) Cactus Girl It's a blast for me to see this outstanding Cactus Girl design which reminds me of the Final Fantasy 8 - Jumbo Cactus boss character. I simply love this character very much and also to my surprise to see a lady don the cactus costume instead. I could imagine the spike and hot suit could make her uncomfortable. This Cactus Girl design is an outstanding piece of work which enable us to plant more desert vegetation for our MOCs with a slight adjustment. I can imagine she is also one of the popular characters around. Parts assortment The parts assortment are above average. Even though you get nil accessory, with the biggest obvious reason that the girl got no hands to hold on. I am not complaining as the design itself is very remarkable and accurate for a cactus design. She also appeared in dual expressions with front and back printing on the cactus torso. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front side and back view. Join the food costume party Cactus Girl, did you see this man? Mexican mariachi music 12) Cat Costume Girl Cat lovers will be in for a treat with this feline lover. She is properly donned in a Cat Costume and not to be confused with Catwoman herself. This is the first original Cat Costume which is proudly added among the animal costume lovers. Pretty sure this will also be a popular character among them. Parts assortment The parts assortment are slightly above average, due to the turquoise looking fish which resemble a tuna? I am not exactly sure of what fish type but is nice to see a different variant colour. The minifigure face is a cat appearance which is versatile for other animal purposes plus it has a tail equipped with it. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front side and back view. Cats Galore Catch of the Day Cat Burglars Animal Friends of the Forest 13) Race Car Guy Race Car fans rejoice! In most circumstances, the Race Car driver is the one of the most underrated minifigure in a CMFs series. In this case, this Race Car Guy will definitely be one of the most popular minifigure because of astounding details in it. It can be used for various city setting including race set up or promotional efforts. I like this character very much and he is represented on the Brick Prix. and probably sponsored by Clutch Drive. Parts assortment The parts assortment are excellent. The biggest bonus is the first of its kind micro machine - small actual red race car which can move on its own. Somehow reminds me of those Kinderbueno toys as well. It also has a printed tile which is placed at the rear of the car as part of its design. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front side and back view and without the car model attached that revealed his detailed all rounded printing. Race car promotional efforts Live on the Grand Prix We are honoured to meet Racer X Telematch Race is at the final lapse Wacky Racers 14) Flower Pot Girl This Flower Pot Girl is very amazingly well designed. I was elated when I assembled this minifigure for the first time and lots of excitement derived from the flower pot. This new part is an excellent mould which create the base of a minifigure sized flower-pot plants in the future. Could you imagine the new kind of flowers which we might see in the near future? This is also my wife's favourite and I could imagine this is another popular character plus is a female in it. Parts assortment The parts assortment are outstanding, largely due to the flower pot and flower despite of the lack of accessory. The surprising addition for this minifigure is her dual expression. I enjoyed the overall design very much and it kind of suggest playing Plants versus Zombie with it. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front side and back view. Hello ladies! Checking for radioactive substance Taking care of my flower pot Plants vs Zombies 15) Cowboy Costume Guy The Cowboy Costume Guy is a strong contender due its unique costume that give a detailed design for the little horse or pony in the minifigure context due to its size/scale. He is a nice looking Cowboy and with the horse costume attached at his front and rear, make him look he is actually riding on the horse. This is a pretty fine piece of design. Parts assortment The parts assortment are outstanding especially with the design of the horse costume and quite similar to the new horse design. Please do note that the horse is made up of slightly soft ABS plastic and it is likely to be sticky due to over course of time, so please do take care of it. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front side and back view. Check out my little pony Exact replica of the horse design Reporting for duty I should not have left the town New cowboy in town CMFs Wild Wild West 16) Birthday Party Boy The Birthday Party Girl is not alone after all and he has the lucky Birthday Party Boy as part of her company. This Birthday Party Boy is a child LEGO minifigure to illustrate his birthday celebration. In this case, with the rest of the birthday party associates, we can now easily put together a much better looking birthday for the children. For all you know, you can even customise your own child for your beloved children for their birthday. Parts assortment The parts assortment are excellent. There are lots of new accessories in this design, including the new orange balloon which enable the minifigure to grab it well. There are two piece of 1x1 printed LEGO Minifigures CMFs packets, party hat and more importantly a 2x2 gift box which allow the user to place small stuff in there that will encase by another new 2x2 printed tile. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front side and back view. Birthday Party Celebration Opening up our presents 17) Unicorn Guy We are coming to the last of the seventeenth minifigure and is none other than the Unicorn Guy. He is my favourite number one character in this Series, followed by the Dragon Suit Guy in second place. The Unicorn Guy is a very well designed minifigure which trigger my soft spot of army building as well as having my own fantasy unicorn sword wielding army. This masculine unicorn will be of good use to protect my other unicorns and previously I had always regarded them as just a mascot. Parts assortment The parts assortment are excellent and the colour schema is perfect. You get the pearl gold great sword and new exciting accessory including the brand new triangular shield on the Unicorn Tribe. That's a huge bonus for medieval/fantasy fans and I am sure this will be quite hard to find, especially for army builders who seek to amass these in large numbers. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front side and back view. Unicorn Kingdom Various Medieval Kingdoms Will you aid Unicorn Kingdom? My favourite characters General Statistics for 71021 LEGO Minifigures - The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 18 Below is the combination which I have received from my box, 3 Elephant Girls 5 Brick Suit Guys 5 Brick Suit Girls 3 Party Clowns 4 Firework Guys 3 Birthday Party Girls 4 Dragon Suit Guys 1 Classic Police Officer 4 Spider Suit Guys 4 Birthday Cake Guys 3 Cactus Girls 3 Cat Costume Girls 3 Race Car Drivers 4 Flower Pot Girls 4 Cowboy Costume Guys 3 Birthday Party Girls 4 Unicorn Guys Based on the above distribution, I have achieved one full complete set of 17 one-of-a kind minifigures each, including the very rare Classic Police Officer. If I exclude him out of the ratio, I am able to achieve three complete sets of 16 one-of-a kind minifigures each. It means I will have 9 spares left which are the majority of Brick Suit Guys and Girls. Read below to find out what are the remaining spares I have, based on a single full complete set.My remaining spares based on 17 unique minifigures: 2 Elephant Girls 4 Brick Suit Guys 4 Brick Suit Girls 2 Party Clowns 3 Firework Guys 2 Birthday Party Girls 3 Dragon Suit Guys 0 Classic Police Officer 3 Spider Suit Guys 2 Birthday Cake Guys 2 Cactus Girls 2 Cat Costume Girls 2 Race Car Drivers 3 Flower Pot Girls 3 Cowboy Costume Guys 2 Birthday Party Girls 3 Unicorn Guys Data Analysis I really wonder which minifigure will be the most popular and hard-to-find once it is out in the public. This series will be very popular and lots of minifigures will be out for grab. For army builders, it will definitely be Dragon Suit Guys and Unicorn Guys which I am very glad that they are in the distribution ratio of four. While the majority of the rest of the audience, I am sure everyone is eyeing for the Classic Police Officer which has the probability of getting it in 1.66% in a mint untouched sealed box. Please don't said you love this minifigure for the sake of Classic Town (probably only those who grew up with Classic Town will truly appreciate it). Well, I believe most of us will be getting for the sake of hoarding it or simply aiming to complete it for the purpose of 17 unique minifigures. So, what's the safest strategy to get it? Just buy a box and be done with it and thank goodness many of these minifigures are very useful with the large amount of new mould. Don't bother to pay high amount for this ridiculous pricing but I am sure the sellers will be pricing this minifigure at all time high since this is one out of 60 in a sealed box. Better than Mr Gold with these odds and of course way better than the mysterious Highway Man in Series 17. My best bets for the rest of the costume lovers are Elephant Girl, Cactus Girl, Race Car Driver, Cowboy Costume Guy, Flower Pot Girl and Cat Costume Girl. I chosen those because they are largely associated with either animal or other mode of costumes. Though this distribution ratio is one of a kind, but I am very satisfied with it even with both Brick Suits commonly available. The rest of the of the popular ones are quite even out and I like the ratio very much even though some might argue on the Classic Police Officer. To be honest, I am not very bothered by it as I view him as a cameo appearance in the LEGO CMFs Series for the celebration of 40 years LEGO Minifigures. Hence, with one rarest minifigure in the lot in exchange for one less minifigure in distribution ratio of five and turn it into an additional minifigure for the distribution ratio of four. In short, I am very pleased with this current distribution arrangement. What do you think of it? I simply cannot believe the vast amount of specialised parts and it is definitely awesome to see so many. Even though, some might not like costume characters but think on the bright side, with these amount of specialised parts, I am sure you can customised great deal of super nice minifigures in your collection. Series 18 costumed characters CMFs Costume Characters The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 18 will be launching on the 1st April or May 2018 (worldwide) To conclude, the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 18 has continued successfully surprised us with another new level of design creativity. It greatly excite me to see the return of the original traditional series with slight costume themed based. It is still original as compared with licensed series. Traditional LEGO CMFs series always appeal widely to the masses. One thing for certain is TLG is not really intending to just focus on the traditional stuff. There are already clear signs in the shift in their marketing and design approach. Time will tell if the change in the LEGO CMFs could sustain and continue to appeal to general public and LEGO fans. It is not an easy theme to continue create, design and introduce many new creative and original designs for each new series. The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series or known as LEGO Minifigures Theme shall always be a rare commanding class of their own, which distinguish themselves from regular LEGO Theme and special releases. It has been a very long standing tradition and yet they are able to retain the charm and excitement, until today and I haven't got out of interest yet. Now with a total of 416 minifigures released for the entire Series 1 to 17, the LEGO Movie Series, LEGO Simpsons Series 1 to 2, Disney LEGO Minifigures, LEGO Batman Movie series 1 to 2, LEGO Ninjago Movie Series and the current CMFs Series 18, not including Mr. Gold which unfortunately I do not have the blessings or lucky stars to own it till this date, and the special exclusive Toy Soldier and Zombie Skateboarder minifigures that can only be obtained through The Minifigures Character Encyclopedia books respectively. At such accelerated releasing rate, I wonder if anyone can keep up with the display shelving area as we factor to accommodate space for future expansion. For myself, I had already done a nice display for my own CMFs and made provision for at least 2 series to be displayed side by side at the baseplate before it max out. I hope to share my display set up when I am more settled down at my new home. Meanwhile, I really wonder what exciting new series will TLG have for us. Only time will tell and let's be patient about it. I am confident that it will be worth the wait as always. Please note that all opinions and content shown in this Eurobricks pictorial review is from 'WhiteFang' and is not meant to represent LEGO official views. It is purely stated to share as a vantage point of a reviewer. Please note that the The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 18 do not contain the placement of LEGO spare parts/accessories. This was practiced since the start of LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3. Summary review Playability: 10/10 (New and old minifigure designs that can be integrated across many new and existing themes/settings.)Design: 10/10 (Great detailed printing on different arms and legs with decent new accessories and refreshing designs.) Price: 6/10 (Pricing notch for SRP is not out but I guess it will be hovering around SGD$6.50 and I am not a great fan of increased SRP again.)Overall: 8.7/10 (Ready yourself for this new amazing Series 18 and it took me a year to see the new traditional original series. Definitely worth the wait) I gave it a "5" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? I hope everyone of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Criticisms are welcomed. 10. Thanks everyone for your thoughts for this polybag. Thanks for sharing this interesting piece of information. On the bright side, these are one of the two available polybags which is unique to London. Though I have to agree that the price is indeed very pricey.
  11. Hello everyone, I am generally feeling very happy when I received this belated birthday gift from my wife's friend whom happened to be in London for holidays. It just so happened that they are able to pass by Hamleys - London and gotten this very exclusive LEGO polybag to Hamleys. It also does not require any form of additional purchase in order to get it. This is indeed a pleasant surprise for me and it could be an ideal opportunity to grab it for GBP 6. Hamleys is not exactly a place to hunt for LEGO bargains. Their prices are normally higher than SRP and it is generally for tourists. I had visited there previously and love the fun enjoyable atmosphere. Unfortunately, I left with nil purchase as the prices are rather on the steep side. Without further ado, let me share with you on this simple review. Name: 5005233 Hamleys Royal Guard Theme: LEGO System / Promotional / Minifigure Year: 2018 Pieces: 5 Minifigs: 1 minifigure Price: USD NA, GBP 6.00, EURO NA, SGD NA Resources: Brickset, BrickLink An original polybag image of the 5005233 Hamleys Royal Guard Back view of the original polybag image of the 5005233 Hamleys Royal Guard This is a very special in store purchase in Hamleys, London To be able to acquire this exclusive promotional minifigure is truly a pleasant surprise. At one glance, many would assume this is a re-hash of minifigure similar to Series 5 - Grenadier Guard. However, in actual fact both of them are very different in some degree and it would taken you a few moments to examine them side-by-side. Well, the answers would be the Hamleys guard minifigure's head with a different calm straight expression versus a slightly frowned serious appearance. Their uniforms are also different as the exclusive Hamleys guard's torso accompanied with two medals and slight difference in colour shades for the collars and belts. Their hands are also different colour with the exclusive Hamelys guard to be given a pair of white gloves. The polybag is accompanied with a standard CMFs baseplate and it does not contain any additional printing from the side and back. The LEGO building content The polybag contains five building parts to form the Hamleys Royal Guard minifigure. The completed built of the Hamleys Royal Guard This is a pretty nice minifigure which stayed true to the original design. Though is unnecessary to rehash a design which was released before, the Grenadier Guard design is an iconic culture icon in London, which many could easily associate it with the Buckingham Palace. It's no wonder why this minifigure is a must-get minifigure for LEGO minifigures collectors. Well, when TLG decide to slam a polybag with exclusivity in it. Prices will generally go up and we are very lucky that this polybag is well stocked in Hamleys and for the price which we are paying for GBP 6. I personally find it very expensive to buy easily a few unlike the CMFs packet. It's quite a nice feeling to see something familiar and it would give others a chance to get this similar Grenadier Guard minifigure again if they happened to miss it in 2011. Even so, the original minifigure design is still easily available in the secondary market at a reasonable price as well. For me, having just one of the Hamleys Royal Guard will suffice for me to appoint as the Captain of the rest of my Grenadier Guards. In my personal opinion, how I wish TLG gave the minifigure a rifle or an useful accessory. Prepare for the coming parade Standing guard at the front of Buckingham Palace To conclude, this is an average polybag and it became rather receptive and popular to look out for because of the exclusivity for Hamleys. Furthermore, without the need to buy additional purchases to acquire this polybag certainly helps a lot. This is a very nice polybag and a great gift for friends and loved ones who don't visit to London and happen to be there to grab it for your souvenirs. Do get it at their SRP and don't overpay for this polybag if possible. Summary review Playability: 7/10 (Able to integrate with my minifigures collection well and good) Design: 6/10 (Minifigure design slightly above average but good efforts to make it a little different.) Price: 5/10 (This is quite an expensive polybag, even taking exclusivity into consideration.) Overall: 6/10 (Average polybag but lovely gift to get for LEGO fans.) I gave it a "3" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? I hope every one of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Criticisms are strongly welcomed. 12. Considering LEGO City is hailed as one of the hallmark evergreen theme for their intended target audience (kids), I find it very hard to imagine to cease continue with LEGO City without the association of day-to-day life where it can be useful for children to relate with. Personally, I think LEGO City is pretty solid and improving over the years.
  13. Instant recognition from the classic Sega game scene! Nice work, now where's that controller for 'Player 1'.
  14. Looking forward to see everyone again. Boney, thanks for the interim update too.
  15. Great work! I also bought this set too. I like the built and more importantly, those 3 masks. I haven't started building mine yet but I am intending to build it soon and integrate with my diorama scene. High playability and lots of fun in there. Thanks for doing this review and sharing it with us.
  16. Thanks kaelthas for pulling and making this combo review for the EB community. It has been a long time since I last read a good review on EB and I am very glad you choose to make them. I have not bought these new sets and your review gave me some good idea on what to expect, especially on the builds. The minifigures comparison and the multi-aspect photos are very nice to look at.
  17. The recent blockbuster movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe had engaged Superheroes fans with the latest Black Panther movie. 18. Thanks guys! I had also updated this review that my set now came as a sponsored review by TLG. Hence, some slight update on the reviewing content. For info only. Exciting stuff indeed.
  19. Thank you very much guys for your kind thoughts! I am glad you had enjoyed it. Nope, there's no back printing. Just plain white. I had amended in the review I didn't know about that, but come to think about it. You are right that his fashion was reflected back in his times. You are right. I totally forgotten about the 4762 HP set. I was so fixated on the 2009 Pirates Mermaid. Yes, that's an unique piece for the hood and I had mentioned it in the review. Thanks for the reminder. It just rest on top of the bucket. Added that piece of info in the review. Thanks.
  20. Nice Joker reference. Thanks for sharing. I realised there are quite a fair amount of Super Friends but this cartoon series happened before I was born.
  21. Thank you everyone for your kind comments and I have added 3 more photos into the review as well. I hope you enjoyed this coverage. Galaxy heist plot I am entrusting the future to you Which General Zod do you prefer? That's a very interesting thought. I wonder if that could be 'that' inspiration for having those spears. I have taken two photos based on your request. I didn't have those minifigures and I realised I had an old 76009 set back in 2013. That will serve its purpose and hope the new images will be ideal for you. Yes, I do take requests if is reasonably within my means. Same here. Well, it can't be that bad, right?
  22. For me, my vote went to Black Canary. The design of this elegant classy lady is pretty spot-on. I like the light blue outfit and especially her screaming expression. That was the top factor for me. The close runner-up is Tropical Joker, Swimming Pool Batman and Soccer Mom Batgirl.
  23. Thanks and I amended my review/sentence. I aware the ballerina skirt is not new piece, but I had actually meant the roller skates in new colours. I didn't realise the sentences were connected. Thanks for pointing out the other two and I had also cleaned it up.
  24. Dear Eurobricks Community, I am very pleased to share with all of you my latest review work on the LEGO Batman Movie Series 2 CMFs. This is my first review installed and there were many glitches here and there, which I will not elaborate. Nonetheless, I am glad I had sorted this review myself and bring this review to a reality after 18 days of its official release. I hope this review is of interest to our community and please do leave your thoughts for sharing in this review. This is quite a lengthy process for me to finish since last Sunday. Thank you and enjoy the review. WhiteFang
