  1. Mr. Schauer, Mr. Hartman, and Mr. Oldman please stop bickering; this is what the scum amongst us want. Now Mr. Oldman that really wasn't a nice thing to say about all of us; maybe the three of you should just get a cup of coffee and talk things out. And to the Bellagio crime family members infiltrating us; I see what you are doing... trying to separate us on the first day we are gathered together to bring fair justice to our simple community. It won't work; we will stand strong together!
  2. It never is, criminals always think they can get away with anything. What have you heard?
  3. We are all suspects now; I trust the Honorably Judge Neil Justuss to make sure the Bellagio crime family pays for all the bad things they have done. Looks like we will have to work together to find the criminals amongst us and show them crime doesn't pay!
  4. Hello everyone, Stephanie Diaz here, hope this is guy is found guilty quick. I have to get back to my studies at Academy of the Brick U. So much to learn about the brick (history, chemical properties, famous literature based upon it).
  5. Perfect timing, I'm on break between semesters! 1) Have you played Mafia on Eurobricks before more than once? Yes, many many games....and missed some sadly due to school. 2) Will you be active and available (ie don't sign up if you're planning a three-week hike in the Swiss Alps with no internet access!) for the next 4-6 weeks? Of course, as long as I'm not snowed in with only the glow of a campfire to eat my fondue and drink my wine by. 3) On a scale on 1 to 12, how mad will you be if the game makes no attempt to follow "proper" courtroom procedure? 12....unless of course there are bribes of Swiss Chocolate involved.
  6. I know I have been absent for several months due to a big move, but I was wondering why I got demoted from Duke to Knight when I have 2033 posts? I'll try to be more active again as time permits with grad school; it will be during break times.
  7. Thank you Pombe, that was the best ending of AG1! ....and beginning of the next chapter! Both the story and the builds were beautifully done! Thank you also for all your stories, even the more stranger ones...really get a person hooked to see what you will build / story tell next. AG1 has been so much fun and the camaraderie great that I have greatly missed it over the last many months. I look forward to seeing what happens next (provided grad school gives me any free time).
  8. Please transfer all my credits to StarHawk3. Thank You.
  9. Congratulations to all the winners! This challenge was just as much fun to watch as it was to enter. Thank you judges for all the work you put into this! And my boat and GARC teams are still in trouble for checking e-mails during the races..........
  10. As excited as I am about AG2 beginning, I just as sad to see AG1 ending. This really has been a great time, when I have had the time to build, and I'd like to thank all the players (those who have faithfully stayed and those who have had to leave for various reasons) for making AG1 so much fun! My thoughts on credit sharing are mixed. On the one hand it is rewarding to save up for something special by earning it for yourself with each build, on the other hand though with the comradery of the corps being able to share / give credits towards a larger goal is equally special. Maybe an idea would be to limit the amount a player can have on larger items to a certain percentage can be a gift from other players and the rest has to be earned. On using Google forms, do I have to have a google account for that because I'm not to keen on that idea. As far as the tags are concerned, my last few builds I felt compelled to try to include as many as possible. I like the new thoughts on tags being limited and it will be interesting to see how the jobs evolve in relation to the actions shown in the builds. Will the personal equipment we already have be revised or only the equipment that is for purchase? I would hate to have everything (especially my MANTIS tag) taken away for a completely new reset. I agree that a new player would be far behind in credits and equipment but it also does't seem fair for other players to lose all personal equipment and corporation tags. It would be nice if everyone had a corporation tag they could keep regardless of what they decide to do with their character, kinda like a badge of honor for participating in AG1. And then for personal equipment already owned by the end of AG1, maybe a suggestion would be that to keep the same equipment a player would have to re-activate it by additional credits or builds depicting certain actions or maybe they could trade it in for something else say at 50% of credit cost. So if I wanted to switch from say my Black Pearl to say a Spying Suit I could but the cost would be only reduced by 50% plus the trade in. Just some thoughts. And having previously been active staff, I know how hard they work and I really appreciate all they do to make the game interesting and fun!
  11. Will the new upgrade address the issue of someone accidentally leaving a conversation in the PM threads, since there is no way to currently re-invite them back?
  12. 18 Septembrinali 3816 C04 Aeristus Tags: Military Building, Land Vehicle, Engineering Mission: Locate anomaly causing equipment malfunctions Prior to the mission: Lady Kianna: Really Rex? This is your office?! A radioactive materials testing room? Rex: Hi Kia, yes and it should bring back many happy memories of all the secret meetings we had on board the Obsidian during training. Kia: You mean where you plotted and planned all our youthful rebellions and I went along..... Rex: Yeah, yeah...and you had fun too! Where's ORB? Kia: Knowing him, probably watching some old movie from Earth...he is have some much needed down time...for recharging that is. Who's you new friend Rex? Rex: Kia, I would like you to meet Fifi who I found in a field badly injured. I picked her up and she has never left my side, she can even ride the hoverboard now that she has healed. I have a gift for you...turn around... Kia: Rex, is this what I think it is? You've kept it safe all these years? Rex: Sure have Kia, just like you asked me too after we graduated from training. I thought you might need it on this next mission.... Kia: I take it the Mysts have returned? Rex: As a matter of fact.....yes. Kia: So...I guess then it's time for the traditional toast, I see you brought the 'family label' and I still don't ever want to know what's in it. Rex: To our brothers and sisters in arms, those that are with us still and to those that have gone on before us...(takes a drink and passes the bottle to Kia) Kia: To our brothers and sisters in arms, Once more into the Fray... Into the last good fight I'll ever know. Live and Die on this day... Live and die on this day... (Kia takes a drink and passes the bottle back to Rex) Kia: Come here girl, good girl Fifi...you know what I'll see in the Mysts don't you girl..... Rex: Come and find me when you get back Kia...Oh and take the Hopper the fresh air speeding by will do you good. Kia: Thanks Rex. Rex was right, the fresh air did feel good. Well, everything appears to be fine from here. Even peaceful. Hmm, I better have a closer look. Now what is making the water storage equipment malfunction........wait...what is that clashing noise coming from those trees? It's almost as if its....a sword fight? Here? Private Gnarl Graves?....but it can't be.... Once more into the Fray.....an epic sword fight ensued........ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And for the judging, here are the new things that have not been used before. Thanks for reading. C&C always welcome. Once More Into the Fray....by Joe Carnahan
  13. Thanks. I have to say that I love all the different designs and with /without stickers for all the GARCs that have been entered. Thank you. I just got those in the new Elves set #41180. I have acquired all of the sets for the Dragons and eggs(and parts)....but the latest sets have had amazing parts for M.A.N.T.I.S !
  14. Sorry to hear that Bob, take all the time you need to get better.
  15. If I thought The Stryker racing boat was impressive nothing prepared me for the M.A.N.T.I.S. M-RAY 007. The manta ray shape seemed to glide though space with a Zen like peaceful feeling. The engines powered to full speed very quickly and I was racing through space before I had time to think about the responsive controls or how quickly the landing gear had retracted. I hardly noticed the speed at which I was traveling as the stars seemed to glow a peaceful neon green through the canopy. Somehow I must find a way to keep this for future missions! Overview of landing pad with size restriction. The white indicates 10x10 studs. Take off sequence, retracting landing gear....... Gliding Zen like through the galaxy........ Top view.... Bottom view, landing gear retracted...... Port side view with landing gear deployed..... Stern view with engines off, wing lights deployed, landing gear deployed..... Thanks for looking. This was my first Micro GARC and I really had fun with it. C&C always welcome.
  16. Thank you. It was the first time I have used a black light and I really like how it turned out.....of course shinning it on all my trans pieces is the dark is more fun. And it is a good way to locate missing pieces.
  17. Very nice build! I really like the contrast of the white, purple and pink trees with the darker terrain and vehicles. The vehicles are great as well.
  18. Nicely done small speed boat. I really like the water effect of the hydrofoil in action as well as the aerodynamic shaping.
  19. Very nice elegant lines here. I really like the streamlined bow and the impressive stern and engines!
  20. Thanks. I actually rebuilt it three time before the final one and each time it changed in shape and details. Thank you. The only parts from all the revisions I really wanted to incorporate were the two snakes.
  21. Blue Time Running of The Stryker At the M.A.N.T.I.S. dry dock: Nice! So this is the super secret M.A.N.T.I.S. Stryker...... With dual Cobra engines this baby should put out impressive speed.....and....it's almost Blue Time....my favorite time, the water should be perfect for the maiden voyage. Time to flood the dry dock! (and proof it fits size restriction) Initiating power sequence..... And here we go...... With full power on and Blue Time here......now the fun begins! Final shot using my new black light.... Thanks for reading....C&C always welcome.
  22. Welcome back. Great story and an awesome build as always! The dojo is well done, just the right amount of detail for a simple elegant look!
  23. Preregistration for your MOCs is the best way to make sure there is space available for what you are bringing. Have you registered the Star Destroyer? If you haven't registered it yet, then on the set up instructions you could indicate the need for saved space due to late arrive/check-in time. Bringing it through the loading dock should not be a problem. As far as preventing damage, I would say just take your time getting through the hall to your theme area (Pop Culture). If you need assistance with set up, one of your theme leaders should be able to help you.
  24. I asked Todd directly and he said Technic is now located in the Mindstorms area. Just click the map link that Lyichir provided and you will see it next to the Competition Ring. Weather looks to be in the high 80s to low 90s with possible scattered thunderstorms on Thursday and Saturday. Also the convention center has been renovated and expanded and has said no 'wheels' of any kind (except wheelchairs) through the front entrance. It would be best to check in first and ask at the check in desk or your theme leader (lavender polo shirts) where to unload and bring MOCs in at if you are planning on using any kind of carts or wagons. And for those who are new to BrickFair VA, parking on public days (Sat and Sun) will be difficult if you don't arrive early as the public uses the same parking lot as exhibitors. The public line usually starts forming very early so make sure you have your badge on to get in. I'll be co-theme lead for Space Theme again this year so stop by to say 'Hi' or if you need help with anything don't hesitate to ask.
  25. Thank you. The floor does clash, but I wanted something a little different than what I normally do. Thanks. Glad you liked the build and the story as well.
