  1. we created this topic because we'll be meeting each other at the event, so we can easily take the goods with us, the thought being "it'll save you on packaging and posting and other trouble" and it's fun... you can use the traditional buy - sell - trade forum to trade with EB-members
  2. well that's the big question, isn't it? X-D :-X
  3. i still expect to have an entry before sunday, but i'm still looking for some inspiration, honestly... :-X
  4. ok so i guess we'll take the cab from the airport, drive to the hotel, meet who ever's there, drop our bags, go to the park to have our season ticket expanded for one year extra and get us some bricks... :-)
  5. honestly, 120 euro for a cab should be fine; i'm willing to spend 30 euro on that.... otherwise we'll have to take several trains and shuttles and stuff. in a worse case scenario we'd have to wait for the train to arrive as well, so in the end you'd be traveling from the airport to gunzburg for 2 hours and more with our bags... better to just take the taxi at the airport straight to the hotel. my guess is that it'll take something between 1 -1.5 hours max; even if it is 40 euro per person...
  6. that's a great collection! since when are you a collector and, just out of curiosity, how much did you pay for that very rare classic space set 1593
  7. you're right, the shades of grey even add more realism to it, IMO...i'm guessing we'll see entire streets of these soon... let's just hope we'll see some creativity in the MOCs...
  8. 8-
  9. pfew... only 70 minutes away from having completely missed this! :-$ happy birthday buddy!
  10. ok i'll check tomorrow
  11. Mayor, how bout this? i saw that one last week in my toyshop, still in box, second hand. I could get it for you if you want
  12. i would have to agree with this i'm afraid. take the space sets. there's a huuuuge fanbase for a new, even fairly expensive and high quality space line but when that was finaly released, it turned out to be a major disappointment in many ways. same here Lego CAN produce a great pirate theme, but if the idea is to reach small children, then you'll get a pirate line closer to 4+ than to the classic stuff.
  13. not all that brilliant, but what fascinates me is that people are still building models that are based on this legend, even though it's from 1978-1979, almost 30 years ago. You'd think that with this large catalog of new parts and building techniques these days, people would have forgotten all about this set, still... for some reason they always end up with this model... does any one else know an old set that is still replicated today?
  14. bring on the night *wub* - police... on you tube...
  15. sounds fine to me... somehow Mr. Visa will pay for it all, not me., so bring it on.. :-$
  16. i'm gonna enter something as well... not sure exactly what i'll build... :-| hm... maybe i should read the rules first... yeah... that's a good start...
  17. did i just say that? *wacko* g... there must be something wrong the universal translator on msn then! X-D the fact is that mike will be neutralised in a very special way at the event... we'll just show him a picture of some stairs just a few seconds before the game and that will automatically trigger a traumatic experience he's had in australia leaving him paralised for the rest of the day... sure, that also means he won't be taking part in the rest of the event, but hey... making sacrafises is part of life... we'll just leave him there with this note "PLEASE SEND BACK TO SWEDEN" X-D
  18. besides, you're better of buying the parts for the midseciction on bricklink
  19. ok... i'll just close the topic then?
