Event '07 Transportation & Meeting
snefroe replied to xwingyoda's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
maybe every eventee should clearly state in this topic how long he/she intent to stay and what ticket he/she needs, so the organisors of the event have a good idea of what exactly they need to book in advance? sne ---- > friday to sunday (2 nights) ----- > season ticket my guess is that we'll need to get the season ticket at the park, but it can't hurt to mention it now -

well we've had season tickets for the last two years or so, and we never had any problem. Last year at windsor, we even got in for free on that friday thanks to mike :-$ -
i'm wondering where your regional Lego headquarters is located. for instance, Lego has created one headquartes for belgium - holland and Luxembourg (Benelux). so what regional headquarters is supposed to distribute sets to Greece? Is it Italy?

great work yoda! they look like the real stuff now

well i was thinking about this scenario as well, BUT: what about the entrance to the park, if we buy a weekend pass or something, we won't get in on friday. :-X so you'd be basically sitting and waiting all day for people to come in, but no park and no pab... :-X so maybe we should get season tickets instead? -
that is pretty cool! 8-

there's no real link between the parks and the Lego company anymore, so the question is no longer relevant, i'm afraid.
-
ah yes i see... g... that's very low quality printing!
-
i kinda like the blue jsf except for the cupper colored part that's supposed to be the head of a droid. I hope they'll change that for the official set...
-
yeah they look pretty nice *sweet* but they were second choice though... i was first going for the fire station but several parts looks seriously damaged, so i went for those two instead...

i think i'm gonna buy this one in a year or so and modify the interior... and ah yes... that canopy has to go *sweet* .

bought set 6349 and set 6338

well as i said before, 50% is no choice at all, it's not good or bad, it's neutral. I want people to make a choice and not hide out in the neutral zone.
-
well i'm surprised that it went to number 1, but I'm not surprised to see in the charts... X-D first, Lego has a marketing campaign: order it now, we'll pay for the shipment. surely several people are trying to save 50euro on shipping costs...; second, the latest trend in Lego shopping indicates that people don't wait for sets to arrive in the shops. More and more people buy a copy of the hottests sets, like the army building sets, via s@h asap and third, the certificate is a big deal for many collectors.

Would you like to see Bionicle expanded into SPACE??
snefroe replied to johnsocal's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I don't think it would be a great idea either. No space fan is going to buy it and i think most traditional bionicle fans wouldn't accept it either. -
well i guess it's easier for the MF to reach #1 position if it's only available on s@h. As a customer there's no other way but to go through the s@h for the MF, not so with other city sets...
-
that's the idea *sweet*
-
the results as for now don't look all that good. I'm curious to see if it's going to change once people have had the chance to buy and build them.
-
well actually, it all depends on how often s@h is being used to buy Lego sets you can easily find in regular shops...

I went to the exibition with yoda at the Centre Pompidou last friday, so yep, i like Tintin, even though I'm not a "Tintinologue" :-X (doesn't that sound waaaaaaaay better than Sw-geek or Lego freak? :-P ); and nope, not a collector either... can't afford to be one really... :-X :-X :-X still, got lots of Tintin stuff hanging in my house ... *sweet*

oh man! that space mod logo looks fantastic! 8-

hm... i agree , adding an interior means you're going to have to redisign the basic structure, sure that's a challenge, but it doesn't rule out the possibility of having a good interior. You probably wouldn't swoosh it around, but this model is supposed to be a display model, not a model with high playability, so it doesn't have to have the structural strength to swoosh around... Compare it, if you will, with a traditional model kit, let's say an F-4 on 1/48th scale, brilliantly painted in Navy colors on the outside but without any cockpit what so ever. I'd say most fans would seriously object to that... I don't think the Blockade Runner or the ISD have anything to do with this discussion. Both models are microscaled, it wouldn't make sense to turn those into models for minifigs, contrary to the MF. I know, Lego did , but then they're notorious for taking weird decisions...

i'm a bit confused... they refer to package deals but they don't mention if these are per person or per two. I mean, a package for 110 euro includes a room, but since we're sitting with two people in a room, does this mean the entire package is for two?
