what kinda annoys me more and more are the extra lines like "this is the most rare pirate set ever" and "extremely difficult to find these days"... Last week i saw some one saying about an M:tron space set "every classic space fan gives M:tron an A++"... hm... |-/ it's a way to trick people into bidding/buying and i respect that, but as a hardcore lego fan/collector i think it's crap...

true but it's MISB + the extra tracks package... it's too high for me, but MISB sets of this category will always do well i guess here's another thing that makes me "mad": 200 euro for this lot is incredibly cheap, he once offered it for 250 as a "buy now" offer... unfortunately, i'm not a millionnaire, so no money to buy everything at once X-O :-X otherwise i would have bought this for 250, no doubt

do you guys know how? there isn't much room up there, so my first guess would be to replace the black plates and replace them at the side with this modified plate and then use a bar and attach a clip to it; or maybe i'll use a smaller black hose instead of a bar... hm... things to think about for the rest of the week |-/

that's a great review of a pretty good set. *sweet* i'll take at least two. i'm also happy that the blue cylinder comes in two pieces and are being put together with technic pins. can't be difficult to use those some place else... *sweet*

i think it depends on the quality and the sets ; then it'll depend on the fact whether i can think of a good project. castle for instance has good minifig sets and parts to build large castles. in case of an egyptian, roman theme, you'd need printed walls and pilars, statues,... idealy i'd say: rome pirates western

yeah that is a good point. i'm not sure how to solve that tough. starting a new topic might lead to a bunch of new topics whenever new sets arrive or close to release dates, and the photos may be new but the discussion would brobably just continue, so closing one topic and starting another would confuse people... updating a topic starting post may involve too much work and many people only check new posts. i'm not sure if an updated post is regarded by the system as "new post" using the mainpage a bit more involves more work as well and requires admins to be online almost on a constant basis... hm... that may be too much to ask, considering most of the admins have a real life as well, well..; actually, several admins have a third life also, somewhere in the tie fleet topic... :-| X-D still, that, i think, would be the most practicle solution, except for the fact that i don't know how difficult it is to grant access to the mainpage settings to global mods for instance...

hm... wait a second people... "play well" is just a bad translation. in dutch we refer to "play well" as "speel goed" (2 words) in a broader expression "amuseer je" (have fun; enjoy), but "play well" cannot be translated as "toy". a toy is translated as "speelgoed" (1 word) so the question is: does "leg godt" refer to "speel goed" or "speelgoed", as far as i recall, it's the first, not the second... so, vikings, does "leg godt" refer to a noun or is it an activity? |-/

it seems to me they're actually doing what we proposed a few years back: a 7 wonders of the world series in ucs, or more or less. i wouldn't be surprised to see a big ben, a taj mahal... it would be kinda strange for lego to just build 1 set, without being part of a series... all other sets are, after all, part of a series

sure thing, but if he wants to save some room, might I suggest to sell 60 Vladek castles and buy a MISB galaxy explorer? 60 boxes traded for 1. if that doesn't save just a little bit of space... X-D

btw, *yoda* , i think you should print this thread and show that to the lego people in your shop! they should really be told that it's very cruel to treat an entire international community like this! >:-( :-D

yeah you're right and i also don't see what the aliens have to do with the story. I mean, sure, they're not happy with humans coming to Mars to mine, but why would the humans treat them so cruel... btw, have you guys seen the aliens carrying guns? they're actually no threat at all... the more i see these Mars humans the more i dislike them, their attitude just sucks :-X
