  1. The Ghostbusters HQ is 32x32+16x32. Just put it on a corner with the long side facing you.
  2. Doesn't every AFOL have that dream where he or she is a time traveler who can get all the old sets when they were new and get all the future sets before everyone else?
  3. One thing to consider is that Jaime likes to put in little details that are best appreciated during the build process, which adds extra fun to the build. Examples include the sidewalk lettering in the Corner Cafe and the mouse hole in the Pet Shop. So the interiors are probably too cramp to play with after the build, they are certainly fun to do during the build. Some may consider these buildings more like models than playsets, most likely due to the lack of a way to view a cross-section of the building.
  4. It's seems like a good deal for the dentists, where the patients get all loaded up with sweets before their checkup.
  5. Regarding the roadplate issue, you could: Add a 32x16 plate to one side. The 32x16 plate could be a new mini-park (use those Fun In The Park pieces), one of the Petshop buildings, or a side-market like the one used in Market Street. Buy TWO Assembly Square sets and add it to the existing. There are some great mockups of this in the thread. If you have the Ghostbuster HQ, which also is made of 32x32 + 32x16, just place it SIDEWAYS on the street so the main door faces to the right or left instead of towards you.
  6. I would think that if the series ever ends, it'll be because Jaime has moved on from doing it. Or maybe Jaime can take a break and Lego can hire that guy doing the Lego Idea Old Fishing Store and create a whole series of fishing village buildings.
  7. I think people have been wanting a wall of shops and this certainly delivers that. I'm glad they still have stairs to every floor and not rely on teleportation, but all the shops do have to share stairs and doors. It does seem very cramp and I'm afraid I'm going to destroy something whenever I need to reach in. Someone get with the photoshop so we can figure out which modulars looks best connected to this.
  8. I hope we don't get another Grand Emporium style building. Out of all the modulars, the building process for that was the most boring and tedious. I love it when there are surprises and little details that you only notice during the build, like the mouse hole and stain-glass window in the Petshop.
  9. Herky's list is missing GE, but there are still only 10 modulars (11 if you count MS): CC 2007 / MS 2007 GG 2008 FB 2009 GE 2010 PS 2011 TH 2012 PC 2013 PR 2014 DO 2015 BB 2016
  10. Those helmets in the back, are they made by LEGO? They look like Spartan/Halo helmets from a third-party like Brickarms.
  11. Regarding Market Street, also consider this evidence: Also, Market Street is shown alongside the Green Grocer and Cafe Corner in the Green Grocer instructions. In any case, I don't think the 10th Anniversary "announcement" proves or disproves your theory. Cafe Corner, the first modular, came out in 2007. The 10th Anniversary set will come out in 2017, 10 years later. Nothing yet about it being the 10th modular. If that set is real, it'll probably have some history info in the booklet and we'll then see if Market Street is mentioned.
  12. I was wondering how batgirl's wings were attached and initially though they hung off her neck like minifigure attachments. But with the bubblebee shot, it's clear that the wings attach from the waist. I hope the wings are hard plastic and not plastic film.
  13. I wonder if the same people were complaining about the duplo dc superheroes... ...and asking for the classic figures:
  14. Maybe it's $300 for all the modulars... BUT it's the micro-scale version of them. Those little shops reminds me of the little shops and buildings in the non-modular Creator line. Maybe the $300 is for gold-plated technic pins to connect the above sets together?
  15. More interesting to me is seeing the Powerpuff Girls as brick-built characters (4:05). Still, I hope the physical sets have them as minifigures.
  16. My first thought would be a killer whale but I don't think LEGO would want something that seems to promote the captivity of whales at seaparks, given the recent controversy and outrage.
  17. Maybe she took the bat idea to the next level and likes to hang upside-down?
  18. If this is your first modular, I would shy away from the restaurant because it'll make you want to buy ALL the modulars. Happened to me.
  19. Until the Star Wars brand dies or they lose the license to it.
  20. Maybe they will introduce modularity on the baseplate-level, so you can take part of the building and attach it either to the end or middle (to form the inverted corner). Then again, this will probably only work with a very limited style of building, but the exterior of a hospital can be pretty bland and generic.
  21. How many of you think you found the perfect enclosure and then realize the interior width is not in multiples of 10"/25cm (the width of a 32x32 baseplate)? This is the Ikea Normas and it's 25" wide, which limits it to 6 modulars (2 per shelf). Just about 6" more, it would hold 9 modulars. My idea cabinet would be at least 30" in interior width.
  22. In this motorcycle part, one of the clips has cracked and barely hanging on: Can it be repair with glue? I read that LEGO uses Methyl Ethyl Ketone for glue, so I bought this: http://weldon.com/primers-cleaners/cleaner-c-65/ BUT it didn't work. I pulled open the cracked part, apply the solution with a cotton swap, and applied pressure on the piece for a minutes. And it didn't do anything at all. Perhaps I got the wrong product? Is this even worth the effort? It contains Acetone, Methyl Ethyl Keton, and Cyclohexanone.
  23. It's very hard for me to find a dust-free way to store my modulars. Many of the IKEA options are good for storing them individually, but I think they would look best when stored connected as a city block. I wish there were more horizontal storage options, ideally something tall enough to fit the town hall. And the internal width needs to be in multiples of 10in/25cm. Oh, how many times have I seen storage that is just a little bit too narrow to fit one more modular. Often, people would split up the Pet Shop set to fill the space, but LEGO has only given us ONE modular set that can be split in half.
  24. Clearing my browser cache didn't help, but clearing my cookies did. In chrome, you only have the option to clear your cookies for all sites, which I don't want. So I found an extension called 'clear cookie and reload' which does it for only the current site. Update: you can also click on the document icon in the address bar to see all the cookies for the current site and delete each one.
  25. Anyone having issues logging into bricklink today (aug 4th 2016)? I get this error: Bad Message 413 reason: Request Entity Too Large
