  1. no facebook, so i can't enter. also, but this is a nitpick, it's the red one. red is three times faster, black is three times more badass.
  2. video has been blocked on copyright grounds in the u.s.
  3. luckily, 149.99 euros works out to $198 usd. thankfully. still not sure if the crawler is worth it. i mean, the unimog cost $200 dollars, and it's got nearly twice the number of pieces. what's more, it was licensed. i hope that even this figure is wrong, as $198 is a lot of money.
  4. i think, given how it has the massive turbine engines, it might be an auxillary starter unit for large aircraft. i remember on an episode of Mythbusters a long time ago, they had this large generator cart that was used to start airplanes. although, i've never seen a self proppeled version before.
  5. ah, i'm not worried, i'm just a little miffed the water strider got first place. and, it's a not particulary nice thing on top of a whole load of $#!& i had to deal with today.
  6. now how did i get to be called Technic catch of the day?

  7. Grrrr.... my entry did not even make it to the voting stage.
  8. how much money you got? if you've got enough, get 8258,8043,8110, and if you can find it,8466, the big off roader. i own all of those sets, and much besides, but they make up the bulk of my collection of parts. also, i really recommend that you purchase rechargeable batteries, as most mocs eat batteries like there's no tomorrow. oh, and if you can find it, pick up at least two 8049 sets. i bought two a while ago, and parted 'em out.
  9. The true R/F remote control system from the early 2000's. it only appeared in 3 Racers sets, and i want it re-released. i'm sure trial truckers want it too.
  10. how does he control that? I've made a vehicle with a similar wheels, and it's a pain to control.
  11. sadly, the same goes for me. i have two technic figs in total, one of which is headless, and the other is a bit missing. sorry, don't have any to sell.
  12. here are some ideas, not mine by Braith by Mahjqa also, i seem to recall you having some seats of your own, with tire cusions. or, you could use mine: pay no attention to the headless technic fig in the background. man, i love those visorak torsos
  13. so i find my self stuck against a wall once again. this time i'm trying to make an automatically reciprocating linear actuator. what i hope to accomplish is that the actuator will reach maximum extension, then stop, and come back to maximum retraction, without having to reverse the drive motor. i've tried everything my hopelessly busted brain can come up with, and i still haven't made it work. i've even tried making a copy of an auto reversing mechanism by nuno2500. it sadly, refuses to play nicely, and is quite unreliable. any ideas? also, while i'm soliciting advice, does anybody have a reliable, compact, and studless pneaumatic auto valve? i've already tried building sofo's version, but it does not work. again, any ideas? much appreciated, Saberwing40k
  14. ah yes, lego scale. all of the supercars and the unimog are roughly 1:12 scale. everything else is about 1:24 scale. however, there are exceptions. for instance, 9397 and 9395 have wheels that are the same size, yet in real life 9397 would be much bigger. also, 9397, 8285, and 8258 should be about the same size, with 8258 being somewhat smaller. however, it dosn't work that way, as seen in this picture: in real life, 8258 would be quite a bit smaller than 8285, but is roughly the same size. in order to be in scale, it would have to be a bit larger than 8052. in addition, 9397 should be about the same size as 8285, but is instead much smaller. 8052, while not in this picture, is roughly correct, as euro trucks are smaller than american ones. and don't even get me started on the motorcycles.... to put a fine point on it, there is no hard and fast rule for lego scale. (picture isn't mine, i borrowed it from LostInNoise.)
  15. Darn it! you beat me to it. ah well, maybe i can make the big one....
  16. Well, i did not have time to make anything better, so here goes. it's based on a piece of art i saw somewhere, and made out of random parts. and pins, lots and lots of blue axle pins. everybody sing along! fish heads fish heads roly poly fish heads fish heads fish heads eat em up yum! fish heads fish heads roly poly fish heads fish heads fish heads eat em up yum! and that's the end of this wacky tale. hope i win (or at least get the song stuck in everybody's head. )
  17. It's exactly what it says on the box, a Trial Truck that's smaller than yours. to my knowledge, it's the smallest self contained truck with two drive motors. due to it's small size and complete lack of overhangs, it has excellent terrain ability. depending on how good you are, i may post a video and instructions for this. showing off suspension flex a view of the portal axle. (i so need to retake all of these pictures. ) the steering, which is articulated. oh no, it broke! just kidding, it's modular. all that connects the front axle to the battery box is a single 3l pin. not much to say about the rear axle. the front axle, with steering and drive motor. the reciever and battery box. this particular box is busted , hence why the sides are open. dosn't perform too well in the snow. Thanks for looking!
  18. i was bored, so i made this thing. it's a futuristic car thingy based on my eternal rival Mahjqa's intermediate chassis. it looks kinda sorta like a Dakar rally truck, from the future! anyway, depending on how i feel and how crunched for time i am, i may make instruction for this. oh yeah, i demonstrated this at school for extra credit. fans for cooling main motor. the back end, with dualie wheels, and differential. the front end. underneath, showing self centering steering. thanks for looking!
  19. Lookin' good, But can you say the name?
  20. Here we go. it's a topic for all of my work in progress and completed projects and ideas. Newest ones are at the top of each category. Complete: AAV-12 Anubis TSATS Blue Pin Tuna Micro TT Vengance ACC Utahraptor Vayamenda Big Studless Tank VTOL Plane Utahraptor Racing Trike SV-51 Gamma Complete but not posted: (Nothing here for now. ) W.I.P.: (Statuses are as follows: Under Construction is a W.I.P. that is making good progress, and that I am frequently working on. On Hold means that the project is not moving forward, and will not be updated in the near future. Abandoned means that this project is likely never going to be completed, either due to technical hurdles, or lack of interest. Project Yui (Status: Abandoned ) Super Sport 8070 (Status: On Hold ) W.I.P. to be posted: Project B.O.R.A.T. (Under Construction ) Future projects and ideas: ( I have no idea when any of this will be completed, so don't ask.) The Big Idea Thread 10 speed remote control gearbox 18 speed remote control gearbox reciprocating linear actuator Unimog G (based on Efferman's design) KY Tank (big honkin' tank with subtractor and 3 or 4 speed gearbox. it's also going to have a working turret and firing mechanism. ) Landkreuzer Monster. (another big tank. Fully functional, and really detailed. 8 motors for drive, 1:24 scale. will be about 4.5 feet long when complete. ) That's all for now, i'm going to update whenever i feel like it.
  21. well, if you aren't going to finish it, then i will. As soon as i work through my massive backlog of other projects anyway...
