Thanks you mapimi. I appreaciate you liked it! I see thoose Aquitaine TERs as I lived in Bordeaux since latest April. I agree that this one is not as beautifull as the standart blue and grey one. It doesn't keep the original look and feeling!

Hi everyone! I've just seen we should present ourself here! So my name's Julien, I am 25 and I am a french builder and I love lego trains. I'm trying to built models of trains running here in France. For the moment, I made passenger train, the AGC X76500 (by bombardier) and a BB67400 engine that is still in it's improvement process. This engine will be pulling 2 or 3 corail coaches for which, some parts are ordered... On the other hand, I have a couple of modded horizon express and a 7987 ice train that I'm alson modding when I have parts for this. I also get some other official trains but all spared in my brick stock except for the cargo RC train that I quite like like this! I hope you will enjoy my creation as much as I have pleasure seeing other people's! Cheers, Julien

Thank you all. I don't qee what you're meaning... sorry. Would you like to see a blue oart with sloping on 2 sides? Yes, built by bombardier. So its a canadian train running in France...

Hi everyone! It's my first topic in the train forum. I've made this MOC latest summer. I thought I already presented it but not... So!...it is a french passenger train, a TER (Train Express Regional). That means it's a kind of local trains that mostly run in the local region. It as a standard look but each region has its own livery. Where I live, in Auvergne, TERs look like the standart version but have green on and around engine car doors. So, here it is; And here is the real AGC TER: Hope you'll enjoy ot!

Yes, find what is not working! Motor or Chassis (IR+BatteryBox). You could try the chassis with a 9v motor or 9v light or an electric tester. And you could try motor with a 9v power source+9v wire.
-
Don't worry, there is no need to rebuilt! You just have to get a PF moter and a PF extension wire that convert 9v to PF (http://shop.lego.com/en-US/LEGO-Power-Functions-Extension-Wire-8886). Just connect this wire by its 9v end to the battery box of the chassis and the PF end to the PF train motor!. And it will work well with your original remote!

Nice! That is a very clever idea! I like it!

Nice! I'd love to get a 3d printer just to build custom tracks (largeer radius) and switches (like that: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=1357774) ! (I guess swithces needs to be made in two parts...) I wonder if we can make 9v tracks this way. By printing a track with a lower top and completing the heigh with a metal piece that we could glue on it...

Really nice!!!! I love your MOC. The facade is really well made and the inclusion of the modern style lego store in an old style building is well thought! And your interiors... waoow!!! I can recognize everythong in the store and your furniture is sooo nice!!! Congrats!!!!

Looks really nice with an extra floor (and it looks more parisian this way). The only concern I could find, is that I guess it may look better with a "normal window" (like on the sides) instead of the balcony with the "bow window" on the extra floor.

Yes, thanks a lot!

Here is my "lego room". Unfortunatly, I live in town and it's not in my flat but in my parent's house... My modulars are on a wall shelf with a row of road baseplates.

Wow, really nice use of colors!!! I love this little dispaly / scene! You made ingenious parts uses!

7. viracocha - 1 28. Simon_S - 2 44. Nieks - 2 A lot of good entries, hard to make a choice but some of them really reach higher! Thank to every entrant for those beautiful creations!

OMG!!!! I love your MOC.. Big Moc, Huge MOC!!!!! This is insane!!!!!! This is really awesome! You recreated the 80's way of life with bricks! I love each of your cars. The factory interior is beautifull. So much details. My eyes were lost in all of this enjoyment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for this INCREDIBLE MOC!!!

I didn't knew this italian train before! Your LEGO version is really well done, detailled and reallistic! The nose is also well designed and its often hard to design those train nose rounded shapes! You done a really good job! Just one question: How do you make you train tracks attached together? I know we can partially clip tracks with a 1/2 stud gap maintained by a jumper under the track but I wonder how did you do with your track "bases"...

Like the blinds, it looks really better like that! Keep on improving it!

Impressive! I reaaly like your building. Looks so typical! I love that pub facade that reminds me lot of "adventures" when I've been in England for some months... It's well thought, well designed and well made! I suppose the "blasters" in the but are beer pumps? Why didn't you made beer pumps on the counter? The appartment is also nice. I was wondering where were pics from the middle floor and then I saw this guy painting walls by the window. I guess it is empty, right? So, really good job, I really enjoyed your MOC!

No problem Rick! Thanks! Now I can comment this MOC! Matt, I like your adaptation of the fire brigade (speaking of "inspiration" is a weak word ^^). I like your entrance, your interiors are well thought with many things that remid a real police hq. But where are the stairs? And it give a really dramatic atmosphere, too much grey IMO! I like your interrogatory room (I don't know if this word is correct...).

My reply to the original post is out of place now and doesn't make sense!
-
Looks good! I'd like to see the interiors!! But for a first modular, that's a good job!
-
Really interesting build! I really like this idea. And I really love the fact that it fits a trucs that is 6 wide and needs no (or almost no) compromise on the car cabine design! Really well done. Just one question about the self-steering: do you need to apply pressure on the truck when turning to make the wheels turn?
-
I really love your ground floor! It is really modern and fits well in your city! The police sign looks very good and is weel thought! But I quite dislike 1st and 2nd floor... There is no harmony between floors. Your helipad is great and really reallistic!

Nice!!! Id love to see it in bricks! You really managed to create the french post office atmosphere! Being french, I can't do something else than loving your building! Good job!
