  1. I'm not sure to understand what you mean, but if you're worried about stability, it never falls. And yes, it's a bit too close to the pumps, but size is limited^^!!! Thanks a lot for your comment Aussie I am really flattered!!! And I will take your notice about the awning into account for further improvment! Thanks again, but I have no merit, being an amateur photographer for several years now! I have the right gear for this kind of photos (good camera, big lenses, flashes and umbrellas!). But I don't have the habit to work on tiny things like LEGO! I usually work with people^^
  2. Thank you very much james, thanks EROL. Your entry is also great! In french we simply call it "pistolet" which means pistol^^. (but it is not the name that gave me this idea). I have been searching and testing a lot of ways to make those nozzles. I found some good ideas but all of them where really too big!
  3. Thank you all!!! I am really pleased you like it!!! To answer some of you about gas prices: -I live in France, so yes, prices here are in euro per liter. They are a bit higher than what you can see on my panel. Actually, around 4 years ago it was around 1€ per litre for gazole, but it rises to 1,39€ today. (with some peaks at 1,5€). So I delibarately choose to set this price at 1,250 € per liter which represents for me a compromise between ideal and actual price! -Counters here always has 4 digits, 3 of them after the decimal point! I don't even know how much a galon is in liters... But I know how much a pint is^^ Funny? lol, why? Ijust realised that the technic pin is not place like it should be... We should not see it. I will arrange that!
  4. Thanks you very much guys! Yes! ^^ I saw that technic to build cans a long time ago on brickshelf. But to be honest, I will never had reminded it if you didn't use it for your entry^^. And then, walking in a service station next the highway (a shell station), I saw a Helix advertisement! And came to me the idea to make helix cans in their real color scheme (but I think they have changed packaging now) (I reminded this color scheme: gray and yellow that was on those cans when I fed the car and oil shelves when I was working in a supermarket as a summer job some years ago)!!! Thanks a lot phazon!
  5. Hey guys! Here is my entry: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=80831 Hope it will please you!
  6. Hi everyone! Here is my entry for the Servo Shodown! This is my first participation to a contest and my first MOC posted here on Eurobricks!!! This contest was really interesting and motivating! And the contestants are all really friendly! I decided to go with a Shell satation with a few custom stickers as I had no Shell bricks and I didn't wanted to have another Octan MOC/Set!!! There is 3 vehicules (Pickup, mini and moto), 4 minifigs! Hope you will appreciate my work! So here are the photos:
  7. Nice entry Erol!!! You'll be a real contestant for the servo shodown!!! Like your snot pacements and your nice looking interior well detailed!
  8. I finally made a choice for my pumps! My station is now finished and photos done yesterday! Just need time to upload and share them!
  9. Glad to see all those nice entries! Like this contest and this good atmosphere! It has stimulate my creativity and my will to make a good MOC! Mine is almost finished, just need little modifications on the pumps. I am still hesitating on some solutions! I had a lot of ideas, too much for this size limitation. But I see some of you had the same ideas and realized them ^^!
  10. I've got a question about rules of the contest! The size limitation is 32x32. Is a little overhang allowed for elements not on the ground?
  11. Nice station! I like the country spirit of your MOC! Also like your oil cans! I've been using the same technique for my city garage since I saw it on brickshelf! Your extinguisher is really well thought too! I think i'm gonna reuse your design in future MOCs (but not for this contest^^)!
  12. AMAZING! Your MOC is fantastic! Great job!!!! I love it! It is reallistic, really detailled, the place around is well aranged with grass, sand and trees.
  13. Really nice interiors, it looks very good with the garage filled with trucks! (but I dislike your forest truck, sorry). You got 2 ladder trucks.. even 3!!!! why don't you make a pump truck!!! Great work again! Love you MOC! I also have a big fire station with 6 bays (with a tower and small building on the roof). But I always avoided taking it high as yours like a modular building... I thought it will not look good! But you prove me that I was wrong!!! I'll try one day... when i'll have enought bricks and windows!
  14. OMG!!!! The price here are roughtly the same but in euros! So it's 1,5 x the price we pay here. I guess this difference is more due to taxes and less to local / non-local production! And we also have diesel here for farmer, which is red because it is tax free... But we do not find it in servos, and it's forbidden to run your car with it. (it is red colored because of a dye-stuff!) As we all have quite the same gas in our stations, I guess it will also be the case on our MOCs!
  15. Interresting! Yes, LGP is really cheaper! But in france, there are not so many stations to have it... So it is quite annoying. And it has made a polemic since some firefighters are dead because of exploding LGP cars. So in Australia, supermarkets are aligned with a specific compagny... Here, each supermarket brand have its own service station (such as carrefour have carrefour service stations...)... (But I guess you don't have any carrefour in Oz!). Shell, bp (not many), mobil (almost none), elf, total, esso... have service station out of supermarkets. But we have almost no independant servos (they all work with a brand. Total and esso are the more prensents (there was also elf, brought by Total in 2000 and renamed Total access by the beginning of 2013). Really interresting discussion. The brick petrole encyclopedia!!!OOh, just find a funny name BP= Brick Petroleum or Brickish Petroleum!! Ahaha lol! And what about USA, UK, Germany, Italy, Canada, China, Japan??????
  16. Ok, so it's the same as in France. Except the fact I never seen an ethanol pump (but I know it exists in france). So here we have Diesel (that we call gasoil or gazole), better quality diesel, Super 95 (what you call premium unleaded), sometimes but never seen E85 (ethanol), a mix of S95-E10 (your Ethanol blended unleaded) and sometimes GPL (your LPG: which is Liquid Propan Gas)! Do people mostly have cars running with premium or diesel in Australia? Here people used to have cars running with premium (not unleaded). But now, people mostly runs with diesel. Especially because it's cheaper and because the government encouraged it! There are now maybe 1 or 2 out of 10 cars running with premium!
  17. Yes, we do not have coles supermarket here si I don't know what's a 4c or 8c is. What kind of gas do you have in your countries? I could think it is the same as here but not sure for everything. I guess you have gasoil/gazole and super. Sometimes we have better quality gasoil (premium, excellium... depending of the station). Lightningtiger, If yout would like to see what a station looks like in france, just type "station elf" or "station total acces" in google images! The buildings look the same but I don't really know for the pumps (they looks a bit different than the ones we saw here on this topic!)
  18. I meant that dealing with this size limitation is quite hard. Especially when you have to place the shop, the pumps with ways on both sides, all the small accessories... etc... But it is also interresting to deal with it because you have to better organize your MOC! So, it is a real challenge. One thing I noticed, we do not have the same gas station brand depending on where we live. I.E., I never saw a caltex station... I didn't knew that firm before. I guess if I choose Elf, not so many people would have knew it... I also noticed the pumps aren't always the same! There are some types of pump I never seen before here in france!
  19. Mine is almost finished... In one day only. But it requires some more little modifications and custom stickers. I finally opted for shell... The 32x32 limitations was a real challenge because it's quite small for a gas station!!!!
  20. This is far way better than the original one! Congrats, it is really really a nice car!!!!
  21. This contest is a great idea!!! I think I'm gonna take part if I find enough time this week! I'll be going with octan (I don't have any bp or shell bricks). Or, why not a station brand we have here in France (elf or total...). I could try some custom stickers as they are allowed!
  22. Thanks!!! And WOW again! Really like all the details inside!!!!
  23. WOW!!! Amazing!!!! I have always wanted to build somtehing like that but the mecanics are not my stuff... You've done it like a real engineer! Congratulations!!!!!!
  24. Amazing work again! The full house is even better than the contest one. You've done a great job here and I would like to see more ^^! Do you have more photos of the back part of the lodge?
