Heroica RPG - Quest #17: The Lion's Share
Flipz replied to Brickdoctor's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Luke, heal me up right before I attack, I'm going after Warlock C with an Ice spell from the back row." "All right, if tha' quiet Grumpkin'll operate tha' Slice N Dice for a turn, I'll repair it if it takes damage. If it takes no damage, I'll attack the weaker of my Elven counterparts (Engineer A) from the back row instead. -
I was disappointed that the Ji Pei-affiliated guy left, I was looking forward to getting to see the inside of that airship. Really great model, Sandy! Also, BAP, your build looks epic as well, can't wait to see the full thing in your next Quest.

You know, maybe we're overthinking this. I say we start going back and looking through the old and new sci-fi movies and TV shows and find what makes sci-fi sci-fi. I remember how awesome Adventurers was because it was a take on Indiana Jones but wasn't bogged down by the details the way the licensed sets were; the same thing goes for Classic Space and Star Trek, to a degree. LEGO needs to find a franchise or two or three they can mix together and then rip offlovingly parody. Once they do that, they'll have a winner. On that note, does anyone else thing the original Stargate transport concept would be awesome in a new LEGO space theme?

Ah, beat me to the punch! Welcome Sloop! Good to see ya here! I look forward to meeting you in-character. EDIT: Whoa, 800 posts already? Wow.

Sandy clearly meant for you to get that bow, there's no one else there who could use it. (Aside from Hoptet, but no one ever gives loot to NPCs. ) And you deserve that Mythril for thinking of asking for it. Speaking of Hoptet, though, you should let him borrow your old bow so he has better attack power (and thus, healing power) in any more battles you go through *cough*BabaYaga*cough*.

haha, great comic, and great MOC, too. That water effect is really fantastic, excellent work, sir. May I ask what torso you have on the wizard, it doesn't seem to be the standard one included with the figure?

[MOC] LOTR Argonath: King of the Eastern Shore
Flipz replied to ShaydDeGrai's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Wow, that is epic. MOST epic, actually. Even if they're only half-scale to the movie, the sheer size of it is pretty impressive. I definitely like the dark gray additions, though if you're still on the fence about it perhaps you could try to "fade" from light to dark somehow? Perhaps using dark gray to simulate shadows or something similar? Just throwing some ideas out there in case you like them. -
Sloooooooop! You're here! I had no idea you were thinking about joining, good to see you here, though! Welcome to Eurobricks!

That's my favorite as well. Yeah, LEGO needs to hire ED-902 ED-209, quick! EDIT: Messed up the name. Hey, don't give me that look, it was the way it was spelled (ennumerated?) in LEGO Universe.

If only I actually knew these actors IRL. Though now that I think of it...maybe not a visual thing, but...hmm...

Have you ever heard of History of the World? It's a fantastically complex boardgame that nonetheless rarely gets boring to play. Imagine Risk, but better, with more detailed attack modifications and scoring goals. It's a tad expensive, which is why I plan to recreate it with LEGO and a secondhand game board, but if you've got the spare cash it's definitely worth the buy. You might enjoy the Heroica RPG we have over here in the Games forum, as well.

Be sure to let us know it's about Episode 9 outside of the spoiler so the rest of us don't get spoiled!

Maybe Gerard Butler could play Heroica's other Norseman, Eric. If I may make a suggestion, perhaps Billy Crystal for Finnegan? He's a very funny guy, but he's a lot calmer than, say, Robin Williams, which seems like it'd be important for Finnegan. Jonah Hill might be another good choice. EDIT: Warlord's Helmet - SP: 2 grants 'Natural Respite' WANT!

Well, it's that time again... Random question of the day week inteterminate time frame: If Heroica RPG were made into HEROICA RPG: THE MOVIE or HEROICA RPG: THE SERIES, who would be best suited to play your character? (I don't want to hear anybody cop out and say "me", not unless you've had actual acting training and/or experience. ) For purposes of this question, the movie/tv show can be live-action, animated, 3d animated (i.e. toy Story), or even stop-motion animated with real bricks (i.e. Robot Chicken); what's important is the actor/actress who would portray your character (and/or NPCs, for the QMs out there). For me personally, I'd choose Jay Baruchel to portray Arthur; he's funny and has that awkwardness that applies to Arthur (and to me, now that I think of it ), but he can also deliver a solid, powerful dramatic performance. He would be perfect for Arthur.

Boardgames, eh? What do you think of the LEGO Games series? What about LEGO Heroica? Anyway, I'd better stop asking questions and welcome you already. Welcome to Eurobricks!

No, be grateful that you are among the lucky few AFOLs who enjoy sorting, and consider contracting out to others who are not so fortunate for extra spendingLEGO money. Welcome to Eurobricks!

Welcome to Eurobricks! I never went through a full-on Dark Age (more of a period of reduced activity), but I certainly can identify with spending every last dime on LEGO! 2012 is shaping up to be a great year for fans of LEGO like us! Anyway, welcome aboard phade!

Welcome to Eurobricks! Technic isn't my area of expertise, but I think the guys and gals over in the Technic forum will be glad to chat with ya. Enjoy your stay!

We also use spoilers for plot points from the most recent episode (you know, in case someone hasn't gotten around to watching it). It generally just works out better if people post what episode the screenie is from as well as the spoiler itself.

I've heard a few of the ones you haven't, so they're accurate as well. Shiro - I've heard it a couple of times, oddly only in the States, though. Norio- Either the father or the grandfather (don't remember which) of a family I knew in Japan was named Norio. I've heard "Nori-" used in a few other names as well. Tadao -Heard this one a few times as well. I believe it was one of my Japanese language teachers, otherwise it was a relative of his we were talking about. Anyway, just thought I'd put that out there. -
