Get insight about the intricacies of roleplaying a believable character in a fantasy world. If I can get these blasted papers done, I may even have a new segment up sometime within the next month or so!
-
No! Don't take the center road! If that's the correct road, then your Quest will end when you get to the end of it! Take the left road for moar loot and experience !

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
Flipz replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I believe the only DVD that has the Ninjago mini-movies is the free LEGO Club DVD that was sent out with a bunch of LEGO Club magazines a while back. I have that DVD, so it's not a huge deal for me, but I can see why it'd frustrate some people.- 4,591 replies

Arthur should have dealt 123 damage, since he used Light AND is Encouraged. Same with Hoke, he should have dealt 171 damage. Master B should be at 258 HP as a result. "Nay, Dyric, she has full odds of it anyway, thanks to her whip. It's better she keeps the Beast of Life occupied." Arthur sends a glance of concern at a nasty cut across Alexis' leg, but upon seeing her catch his glance, he looks up and grins. "Alexis, dear, care to join me with your second attack? Assuming there's still something left to hit, of course." Arthur casts Light through Sir Roderick's Sword at Master Chaos Beast B from the Back Row. Battle Summary >Arthur (Light, Sir Roderick's Sword) vs. Master Chaos Beast B (Back Row) Haldor (Zoot er Isen) vs. Master Chaos Beast B (Front Row) Haldor (Zoot er Isen) vs. Master Chaos Beast B (Front Row) Vipera makes Cronk Lucky >Cronk heals Alexis (Back Row) >Hans (Sword of Dastan) vs. Chaos Beast F (Back Row) >Poletad heals Hans (Back Row) >Hoke (Light, Twin Broadswords) vs. Master Chaos Beast B (Back Row) McColt Encourages Nyx >Nyx (Light, Book of a Thousand Creatures) vs. Chaos Beast D (Back Row) >Skrall (Hunter's Crossbow) vs. Chaos Beast of Death (Back Row) Alexis (Cat O' Nine Tails) vs. Chaos Beast of Life (Front Row) >Alexis (Cat O' Nine Tails) vs. Master Chaos Beast B (Back Row) >Dyric (Briar Bow) vs. Chaos Beast C (Back Row) >Thothwick (Banana Saber) vs. Chaos Beast F (Back Row) >Atramor heals Cronk (Back Row) >Phil (Hammer of Dastan) vs. Chaos Beast C (Back Row) OR if all regular Chaos Beasts and Master Chaos Beasts are dead, do nothing (Back Row) >Gnash (City Watch Halberd) vs. Chaos Beast C (Back Row) OR if all regular Chaos Beasts and Master Chaos Beasts are dead, do nothing (Back Row)

Fixed.

Excuse me? I dare you to spend a few months there and still tell me afterward that it sucks. I'm...still sceptical about Cuusoo. On the one hand, I can see where there are a lot of issues that TLG has to deal with regarding it, which prevents them from using it the way we'd like them to. On the other, my own inherent cynicism prevents me from holding out hope of anything truly great coming out of this--and yes, that includes the advertizing benefeits to LEGO. That's probably just me, though.
-
needs to updade his Heroica signature...oh wait, that's Danylonglegs. :P
-
Maybe, but you would probably be dead by now from trying to figure out the non-color-coded ones.
-
If you've both managed to hack random.org somehow, then I suppose yes, it's skill.
-
Ah, the naievety of new players... Vital rule of Heroica: never trust the QM.
-
You're also both stinking rich and can afford Nostrum up the wazoo, and you two seem to get WAY more SHIELDs than any of the rest of us anyway. Though I do admit you'd both be nightmares to balance with Paralyzing Venom, you're kind of both nightmares to balance for anyway--not just for your insane stats, but also for your sheer dumb luck.
-
...I also literally JUST realized that I've forgotten to claim my Mirror Damage against enemies when they Damage me for the entirety of the Quest. Again. Dang it! Not really, actually; aside from the Explosive Staff, the Banana Bladerang, and the Cat O' Nine Tails, it's not easy to get AoE on enemies; if a Barbarian applied Paralyzing Venom to their weapon, then they'd only Paralyze all the enemies on a SHIELD roll. That's not a bad thing; it's rewarding the player for their lucky roll, which is fine; it's little different from getting a lucky AoE roll with other types of poison. It's only with the above three AoE weapons that it breaks the system. As for the three Rounds being too much thing, nuh-uh, no way. You guys are WAY too crazy with handing out Free Hits these days; we need some sort of defense against them. I don't like the idea of a straight-up Stun venom; let Stun chances be a special quality of certain weapons and leave it at that.
-
Oh, I thought that Zeph did. In that case, I guess it'd be up to you, though I have to say I agree with the "lasts for 3 Rounds" thing. Yes, you cannot leave the Quest and post in the Hall again until your QM gives you permission to do so. Have patience! Prevents use of specialty 'Miss', 'Damage', and 'Special Damage' rolls and Counterstrike, perhaps? It's a weak effect in the first place, no sense in making it overly strong against Heroes.
-
Ah, whoops. Looks like we'll have to wait for Corny, though I personally would recommend putting you right after Hans. Unless Zeph wants to just run the battle with my suggestion so we can keep moving forward?
-
Sorry I was too busy to do this yesterday, Zeph! Battle Summary: Vipera makes Arthur Lucky >Arthur (Light, Sir Roderick's Sword) vs. Master Chaos Beast B (Back Row) >Hans (Sword of Dastan) vs. Master Chaos Beast B (Back Row) >Cronk heals Alexis (Back Row) >Poletad heals Dyric (Back Row) Haldor (Zoot er Isen) vs. Chaos Beast F (Front Row) Haldor (Zoot er Isen) vs. Chaos Beast F (Front Row) >Atramor heals self (Back Row) McColt Encourages Nyx >Nyx (Light, Book of a Thousand Creatures) vs. Chaos Beast D (Back Row) >Hoke (Light, Twin Broadswords) vs. Master Chaos Beast B (Back Row) Alexis (Cat O' Nine Tails) vs. Chaos Beast of Life (Front Row) >Alexis (Cat O' Nine Tails) vs. Chaos Beast F (Back Row) >Thothwick (Banana Saber) vs. Chaos Beast D (Back Row) >Skrall (Hunter's Crossbow) vs. Chaos Beast of Death (Back Row) >Dyric (Briar Bow) vs. Chaos Beast C (Back Row) >Phil (Hammer of Dastan) vs. Chaos Beast C (Back Row) >Gnash (City Watch Halberd) vs. Chaos Beast F (Back Row)

No, it prevents the targetted enemy from dealing Free Hits for 3 Rounds. In Quest 42 and in Dastan, it prevented them from dealing Free Hits for the rest of the battle, but Zeph changed it on Q53 to prevent it from becoming OP. EDIT: The difference between Paralasys and Stun is that Stun can prevent an ally from taking damage or special damage OR prevent a Free Hit exactly once, whereas Paralysis only prevents Free Hits, but does it for the duration of the effect. In other words, there's sort of a pesudo-heirarchy of improving effects: Slowed->Paralyzed->Stunned
-
Good, I'm glad. Hopefully THIS time the party will take to them like I took to Knyghton and WBD took to Luke. Ooh, that's interesting...I was under the impression that it was a weaker Paralyzed; it worked the same, but only worked every other Round. That's the way it was done in WBD's recent Quest, with that rock monster that started off the battle Slowed. I honestly prefer it the way WBD did it, it allows for different strategies.
-
Unless I've missed something, that's one effect that I have yet to see available for player use; Leojagd (I think I got that right) Slowed the Hero, not the enemy, and I can't recall any other Artifacts or Weapons that inflict it. It's a shame, really, a Slowed weapon or two (preferably one with a % chance to inflict so as not to break battles too badly) or a Scroll of Slowing would really open up some interesting battle strategy.

"Sir Cronk, put me high in the order, since I can Jinx Master B. Vipera, I could use your luck more than ever at this moment." Arthur steps to the Back and casts Light through Sir Roderick's Sword at Master Chaos Beast B.
-
I don't think you're the second Hero Hexed by any means, but you are the second one to be remedied.
-
TheBoyWonder, to answer your question, yes, all the Trickster's Masks are Accessories.
-
"Sir Cronk, you should be free to attack. Also, you are aware that its Free Hit will always result in some form of healing, right? I am uncertain if that will prevent you from Counterstriking it, I shall take a closer look to see if that is the case or not." The "Stunned" refers to the reason the Chaos Beast didn't damage you. Once again seeing that a lesser Beast is uncovered, Arthur switches targets again, casting Light through Sir Roderick's Sword at Chaos Beast B, still from the Back Row. Battle Summary: >Hans (Sword of Dastan) vs. Master Chaos Beast B (Back Row) >Atramor (Heavy Flail) vs. Master Chaos Beast A (Back Row) >Haldor uses Scroll of Frailty on Master Chaos Beast A (Back Row) OR if Master Chaos Beast A already Fragile, Scroll of Frailty on Master Chaos Beast B (Back Row) Haldor (Zoot er Isen) vs. Chaos Beast C (Front Row) Haldor (Zoot er Isen) vs. Chaos Beast C (Front Row) >Haldor uses Scroll of Frailty on Master Chaos Beast B (Back Row) OR if Master Chaos Beast B already fragile, Scroll of Blindness on Master Chaos Beast A (Back Row) McColt Encourages Nyx Vipera makes Cronk Lucky Cronk (Zoot's Bane) vs. Master Chaos Beast A (Front Row) >Skrall (Hunter's Crossbow) vs. Chaos Beast of Death (Back Row) >Hoke (Light, Twin Broadswords) vs. Master Chaos Beast A (Back Row) >Hoke (if hastened) (Light, Twin Broadswords) vs. Master Chaos Beast A (Back Row) >Alexis (Cat O' Nine Tails) vs. Chaos Beast of Life (Back Row) >Alexis (Cat O' Nine Tails) vs. Master Chaos Beast B (Back Row) >Dyric (Briar Bow) vs. Chaos Beast C (Back Row) >Nyx (Light, Book of a Thousand Creatures) vs. ??? (Back Row) >Thothwick (Banana Sabre) vs. Chaos Beast D (Back Row) >Phil (Hammer of Dastan) vs. Chaos Beast D (Back Row) OR weakest (Power-wise) living enemy that is not Chaos Beast of Life (Back Row) >Gnash (City Watch Halberd) vs. Chaos Beast F (Back Row) >Arthur (Light, Sir Roderick's Sword) vs. Chaos Beast B (Back Row) OR weakest (Power-wise) living enemy that is not Chaos Beast of Life (Back Row) >Poletad heal ally with lowest health (Back Row)

If there's one thing Endgame does better than pretty much everyone else, it's creating memorable villains. While I like Pie's version better (it doesn't punish the whole party for simply having a Hunter as a member, something they have no control over), I'm not a huge fan of either one. Yes, we all joke about making enemies designed to take out Wardens, but the truth of the matter is that punishing a player for choosing a particular class makes me a little uneasy. Class perks should be countered, not punished. Again, Endgame is really good at that sort of thing, as we've seen repeatedly in 48.

The Dual-Strike doesn't apply to spells, only to your Spellspin.
