  1. Thanks guys:) I'll keep you all posted for updates:)
  2. Hey, I love your profie picture! Can you maybe help me create my own .GIF animation?

  3. I really like the new design! The horse actually has some defined legs instead of it just being two studs wide! I say out with the old, in with the new! I just hope that they replicate some of those cowboys vs indians war-painted horses... i have always loved both of mine ;D
  4. I would support this on Cusoo, but not donate money......
  5. Hello Everyone, sorry for the many posts about this, I decided to make a final topic for my latest project, My first Lego Technic PF Supercar. Below is a photo of the WIP of the bodywork. The chassis is complete. Features (so far) -Sheepo's MPS independent suspension, modified a bit for my satisfaction. -Front steering, powered by a wormscrew gear. -Steering wheel turns when wheels turn. -4-speed manual gearbox, same as the 8880-1 supercar, with studless mounts, and a XL motor for power. -Hommade number stickers for the gearbox. -seats. -front hoodscoop. -black rims with tri-connector sportscar-inspired rims. -rear-mounted V8 engine, connected to drivetrain, with a fake turbocharger, and single exhaust. -AWD I hope you like it! Any suggestions, just comment!
  6. It looks like the model didnt go up in flames :D
  7. I sure hope he makes some instructions for this model! It looks very many-featured and compact! Great Job Nathaniel Kupiers!
  8. Ok: here is my solution to the linear actuator problem: You know how you can actuate a linear actuator by two ways: spinning the axle in the center and keeping the barrel straight, and vice versa. The only way i can think of getting a linear actuator back to center without the axle in the center moving, is to put a new-style technic turntable around the bottom mounting point of the barrel (be sure to mount on the half with the gear teeth) and then, you can have the bottom axle powered by a medium motor, and the turntable too. This us how it will work: 1.) the medium motor powering the LA axle starts spinning, and reaches the maximum extension point. 2.) the medium motor powering the axle stops, and the turntable motor starts rotating the turntable, which holds the linear actuator barrel. 3.) the medium motor powering the turntable goes down and stops. 4.) you are back where you started. I don't know exactly how you can make this automatic, but you can make some type of NXT trigger or sensor which alerts another motor to turn a switch and that switch would power the other motor.... I hope that helps you for the returning actuator siduation. Good luck! As for the pneumatic auto valve, there are many different solutions for this...I just use the hockey stick shooter piece (aka the return to center block) and I put that on the pneumatic switch and I use a m-motor to turn that... Good luck!
  9. Good idea using the visorak torsos! I have two myself! I think the might just be the answer:) also, do u have a extra technic figure I could trade or buy? Those were used before my time sadly:(
  10. Hello everyone:) I was building some bodywork on my Supercar, and I realized I forgot some seats. Thank goodness, I was only doing the hood of the car:) but I thought...about Lego Seats... What different designs have you all seen? I know I have seen some pretty cool seats on Sariel's Ford GT40 and Emilus's rubber sears on brickshelf...but, I was wondering, what was the coolest or most innovative seats you have seen built out of Lego? This topic may also help me get some inspiration for my Supercar's Seats, plus, it may inspire y'all too! Please post some replies with pictures:) Thanks for you help and support! Happy building!
  11. Wooooaaa that's his best yet! Paul and sheepo have inspired me on my latest project, my own Supercar:) I hope mine turns out good...it's almost done
  12. When I motorized my unimog, I added a switch and mounted it behind the cabine. Thhat should be east enough to control. If you want, you could even use a micromotor to control the seitch, or a PF m motor to control the switch
  13. I havent gotten the chance to reply to this forum yet, but i made my own modified version of the 8880 4-speed gearbox. It works perfectly for my purposes. I guess the gearbox issue is closed now. Thanks for your help. I should have looked at a Lego gearbox all along!
  14. I sort mine in section-bins. in the first bin, i have all axles, sorted by legnth, and all of the basic pins and connectors. the next bin, i have some of the more less-used connectors, and a bunch of the thin-liftarms in the next bin, i have all L-shaped beams and also shorter beams I also have a larger bin for the full 16L and 13L beams i have a bin full of gears sorted by tooth count, and the 5x7 liftarms and my shock absorbers next, i have a bin of all suspension arms and engine cylindars and parts and also, i have a bin of random technic parts and some lights to use on my technic next, i have abin of panels
  15. Hey Dluders. Thanks for your advivce on the transmssion. I don't really want to pay for instructions, its just not my thing... I think i have it covered though...I have my 2-speed design in the frame pretty well...If you do want to help me make a 3-4 speed transmission, i need it within these diameters: 7-studs wide-by 11-studs long (including XL motor). I would like to keep the frame pretty slim, so I can fit some seats and a moving steering wheel into the sides. If you have any furthur ideas, please contact me, or just simply reply here :) Hello SNIPE! :D Thanks for your information and inspiration on your transmission designs, they look great for my purpose! However, i dont think they will work for me. I would like for the transmission to be more relatively linear, in line with the frame, to insture good suspension balance. I think that will come when we accomodate to make it have less speeds due to my parts count. Plus, I also only have 2 pairs of the red shifter parts. (I'm aquiring a few more soon) Do you have a transmission design along those lines that can use Something with 4 speeds and only two of those red shift catches? please contact me back soon< i think your way will work:D I will have to tear out my simple 2-speed transmission from the close-to finished frame though. ugh. But I think it will be worth it! Please Reply sooon -88high
  16. The video is now posted on YouTube, thanks for explaining the motors to everyone, (I already knew about philo) I think I will stick with my design of transmission because it fits perfectly in the already-small chassis True :) also taking a break helps
  17. Well, my older post was just on starting my super car and how should I go about it, now I am stuck and asking for help, instead of posting replies to my topic, I made a new one which more people would read Updates: I have made the gearbox very sturdy, and well built. I can power it one of two ways: RC buggy motors or PF XL motor. I put in the RC motors hoping for some good speed, and sufficient torque, but when I did put them in, they did not even have enough power to even drive! They are using the weaker input, so I might have to use the last one, with more torque. But will it be enough?!? Also, the video is uploading still. I can't post pictures on here much, because my apple iPod won't let me "upload pics" I will try and reply to this topic later with some... Thanks for your patience As for the steering, I did a wormscrew gear steering, with the M-motor in the front Pics will be in a video on my channel soon
  18. So both the front AND rear axle steer?
  19. Hello everyone! Happy Easter! You might recall my super car project topic from a few weeks ago. I have made some progress in the whole suspension and engine parts if the model, but I have now run into a "brick wall" when I have come to the frame. I have built the connections, and they seem pretty strong. I also made an AWD-RWD switch behind the front axle. I now want to put in a gearbox, probably 2-4 speeds. I can do a 2-speed right now, but if I want a 4-speed, I need to figure out my trade with vyprynsall. I was thinking of using my compact 2-speed gearbox from my Kamaz 4911 , but, it might be too simple, or not compace enough. What do you think? I also am having trouble with steering. I am using the axle from Sheepo's MPS system. I have a 8tooth gear going through the axle. I would like to connect a moving steering wheel to that and Some type of M-motor powered steering up front... How can I do that compactly though? So, as you can see, I am kinda stuck and I need your helps and opinions on how I should do this. I will post a video of my progress of the super car in my YouTube channel. (see below) Thanks, and I really appreciate your help. -88high
  20. You build so many things so fast! I barely have time on the weekends!
  21. I like that it is very functional. However, I still think you should get rid of the 4wheel steering and accommodate a dual mini-pump for automatic pumping. Does the pneumatic cylinder have enough power to lift the bed with a little weight in it? I love the grey though :) . keep up the good work! please make some instructions! Please!!!
  22. What would try to do is: 1.) put the diff where it is 2.) make a 2nd horizontal axle holder, 3studs away from the center of the diff 3.) put a 8tooth gear on that axle 4.) now you have one of two options: you can use the 24tooth bevel gear on the 8tooth, or you can put a 12tooth gear at the far end of the diff, and do a bevel gear angle transfer that way. Good luck
  23. I say that I build legos on blanks for "interests" for social networking sites... I will probably do the same when I get a job
