  1. It's a bit large for what I'd put in my city, but apart from that I like it a lot. Especially that lunchbox behind the cabin.
  2. I very much prefer this set over the new Creator bike shop and houses. I bought one used (!) and hope to get it tomorrow or friday. I'm mainly interested in the hut itself for my winter landscape, so the BURPs are no problem for me. The set probably would get way too expensive if the mountain was completely brick built and good-looking from all sides.
  3. Wow, train pictures. And it's only January. The passenger train looks plain to me. I like the current one better. Especially for the brick built nose. I think the cargo train is ok. It will do well with kids, but personally I don't need fladbed trucks. The goods station however is such a great feature. Love it. Top notch for me is the station. So modern. So detailed. So different from previous ones. I might actually get one.
  4. Bought the set last year. A great little addon for my town. Nice to see a tribute to it, you did a fantantic job. Lego should release more small buildings like these!!!

  6. Thanks for a great review. Nice to see some extra details in your building stages. This might really be the first modular I'll be buying. Just a little off-topic, I found this pic on Sciencedump and couldn't help thinking of the Parisian Restaurant.
  7. This is the third year (2011, 2012) I've created a winter setup under the christmas tree. I like how it grows bigger every year and I've given it a name, Beaver Bricks. Named it after the street I live in. Lots of elements to be recognized, but I still see that first small winter level crossing I started with. I wonder what next year will bring. A proper christmas train? A Coca-Cola truck? A new mountain hut? Ahhh... Christmas dreams... wonderful! Merry Christmas to all of you! (More images of the advent calender can be found on Pinterest)
  8. I'm posting pics on Pinterest every day. Descriptions are in Dutch, but the pictures speak for themselves. It also gives a sneak peek of my Winter Village which I'll post on EB on Christmas...
  9. I just completed building my 4 car HE and I absolutely love it. I tried running it on 12v but it wasn't really a highspeed train. Maybe I should buy a new train motor for it. The real problem I encountered however wasn't with motoring it but with keeping it together. It keeps seperating at the magnetic couplings. I could solve it by replacing one magnet per coupling with an old style magnet. I still keep wandering however, is this a common problem or did I just get weak magnets with my set?
  10. Today we say farewell to our beloved friend Indian. He has always been an inspiring man and we will remember him especially for his love for the VW van. We hope he has finally found the peace he was looking for. So this was his last will...
  11. I have a weak spot for small lego planes and this one is no exception. So I had to buy it. From the pictures I was afraid the canopy would be to big, but I agree with Luke, it isn't. Just one strange detail, on one of the bottom pieces I noted not all 'Lego' prints were oriented the same way. Two are rotated 90 degrees. Never seen this before. Has someone been sleeping when the mold was put together?
  12. Town / Maintanance 6656 Tow Truck 6656.ldr Town / Racing 6677 Motocross Racing 6677.ldr (motorcycle replaced with bicycle, couldn't find motorcycle in mlcad) Town / Vehicles 6692 Tractor Trailer 6692.ldr (missing stickers)
  13. I've done 6656, 6677 and 6692 with a total of 209 parts. Will upload them now. One of the parts of 6677 wasn't available in MLCad, hope nobody notices...
  14. Ah, this is the type of mod I like. Still recognizable, but completely different in style and appearance. Great job!
  15. Last year I made a small winter scene under the Christmas tree, this year my wife gave me permission to make it a litter bigger. Then some friends of her gave me a city advent calender and the scene grew a little more. Hope you enjoy! (sorry for fitting a black motor in my 7730) The reindeer was build after one I found online, the sleigh is a creation made by me. Look who's in the van getting a christmas tree for in his home? Kids from this year's winter cottage and advent calendar playing with their toys. I already have some ideas for next year. Merry Christmas to all of you!
  16. I got my first calendar this year. Love it. But I wonder, is this a boy or a girl? When comparing today's kid with the ones from set 10229, it has the torso of the boy and the head of the girl. I'm puzzled...
  17. Just got the smaller loader 30151, I think I should rebuild it as this Bobcat. It's so cool. Thanks for the review.

  20. Although I know I play a few divisions lower than other posters here on Eurobricks, I still wanted to share this one with you. Or maybe I should just call it 1980's style. :-) I made this one for a friend of mine when his daughter was born. After all, he is the one who got me back into Lego, so I kind of owed it to him. It's his favourite Chinese restaurant made in Lego bricks. And sure, it's more a kind of daddy-gift than a baby-gift. Who cares? On the front view, you can see the custom stickers I've made. And the customer who is walking home with his take-away food. I like how I've captured the shape of the real building with its rounded wall and the roof. Inside I've used jumpers to make the seats fit easier and to have the minifigs sit closer to the table. And off course every Chinese restaurant must have a cat in the kitchen. I'm sorry, but no furniture on the upper floor. Finally, here's the real building.
  21. Clever technique, I love it. I may want to build this too...
  22. I vote for the Train Robbery set!
  23. I want one! Do you have a instructions for it?
  24. Great idea! I've got a level crossing gate that's really bent, I will certainly try this. Just think I need to be extra careful because it's really thin. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4512pb01
