  1. Yes. Continue by PM if you are interested.
  2. The only GBC I have left is the crane/train module. It is so enormous that I can't imagine anyone buying it. I'm sure it will be parted out.
  3. You can send a PM at either 5 or 10 posts, I can't recall which. Yes, the GMK is the same version in my review. I use the same set of 4 IR remotes for all of my models, so they would not come with a controller although I could probably sell it separately if you were interested. All of the motors are included in both models. The battery boxes are there but will not have batteries in them. No rechargeables included. You can find my email address on Technicopedia if you want to contact me that way.
  4. Model Designer Parts Value Telehandler Lipko 2,250 $339 This is a super clean telehandler design. Motorized, but not for driving. Model Designer Parts Value MAN TGS M_longer 2,415 $366 I built this truck in blue and gray instead of the yellow in the instructions. Motorized. Model Designer Parts Value Liebherr L580 M_longer 1,604 $397 A gorgeous motorized loader. Model Designer Parts Value Wing Body Truck Madoca 4,126 $959 The gigantic motorized wing body truck. One of the best designed MOCs I've ever seen. Model Designer Parts Value Tatra 813 Madoca 2,527 $759 This motorized Tatra performs almost as well as an RC. Mine includes military RC tires. Model Designer Parts Value Shaman Madoca 2,574 $676 The Shaman is a brilliant model. Multiple motorized steering modes. 8 wheels. Model Designer Parts Value Jeep Hurricane Nathanael Kuipe 1,724 $373 There were never instructions for this model so it would have to ship assembled. I'm probably the only person to have one. Features zero turning radius mode just like the real thing. Model Designer Parts Value CVT Truck Nico71 1,121 $267 This thing has a real continuously variable transmission. Model Designer Parts Value Kamov KA-32 Sheepo 2,059 $334 This helicopter has real working collective with swashplates on both rotors. Huge. A real masterpiece.
  5. OK folks, I know I promised to post some more information on some of these MOCs that are still available. I am currently on business in Germany and have a little time to post. I am going to try to put some info on the non-supercar MOCs. If I don't get any further interest on these by the end of May, I will start parting them out. As always, if you are seriously interested please contact me via PM. If you are not familiar with any of these MOCs, you can find out lots more by searching here on Eurobricks or on ReBrickable. Model Designer Parts Value US Truck 2Legoornot2Lego 1,783 $507 I originally built this model in the T1 configuration but then later upgraded to T2. My T2 is special because I kept the rare sand blue stripe on the sleeper. I also bought lots of chromed parts that are not reflected in the price. Motorized. Model Designer Parts Value Avatar Scorpion Barman 1,823 $194 This model is just what it appears to be. The gobs of #3 LBG connectors took forever to collect. I don't have a photograph, only this render but it looks just like this! Motorized. Model Designer Parts Value Swingloader D3K 1,483 $471 I highly recommend this swingloader from D3K. It is extremely functional. He later made another version of this which looks quite different. Motorized. Model Designer Parts Value Feller buncher desert752 4,510 $1,346 My most complex MOC. Something like 17 motors. This thing is a monster and not too many people have it. Mine is built with a custom Brickstuff lighting kit with dozens of lights. Model Designer Parts Value Prinoth Leitwolf Designer Han 2,912 $577 The first MOC I ever built. Super sturdy. Includes the drum winch attachment. Motorized. Latest build has black treads. Model Designer Parts Value Dump Truck Designer Han 2,439 $467 Great pneumatic model. Includes rare pneumatic brackets. Model Designer Parts Value Dragline Excavator Designer Han 2,167 $650 This motorized model is awesome. Lots of rare green and orange parts. Super functional and enormous. Model Designer Parts Value Low Loader Truck Designer Han 2,054 $386 Lowboy Trailer Designer Han 1,656 $220 Great motorized truck with trailer. Available separately if desired. Snow groomer not included. Model Designer Parts Value Snow Speeder Drakmin 2,191 $180 This snow speeder is not like any other Star Wars model. Made of all Technic parts with lots of functions. Model Designer Parts Value GMK6400 Crane Gerger 3,504 $919 There have been quite a few versions of this huge motorized crane. This is the one with independent suspension on all wheels. I don't want my editor to crash so I am going to post these and then keep going. Model Designer Parts Value Tow Truck 5571 Grazi 3,969 $1,173 The epic tow truck by Grazi. It takes two of the famous 5571 Black Cat models just to get the tires for this. Yes it does the original sized tires, not the newer smaller versions. One of the most functional models ever. Loaded with pneumatics and motors. Model Designer Parts Value Wheel Excavator GuiliuG 1,997 $501 This wheeled excavator uses all 8 IR channels. Very functional and sturdy. Model Designer Parts Value Telehandler Jurgen Krooshoop 3,383 $700 Jurgen's gigantic motorized telehandler. This thing is probably bigger than the new crane coming out this year. Packed with motors. Smaller version for scale. Model Designer Parts Value Kenworth Jurgen Krooshoop 2,594 $506 This motorized truck has a really clever transmission that let's you select any of the 4 gears at any time directly. Model Designer Parts Value Backhoe Loader Jurgen Krooshoop 1,972 $711 Jurgen's famous backhoe using all 8 IR channels. I later updated mine to use the Class tires instead of the Power Puller tires. Model Designer Parts Value Forklift Kevin Moo 1,768 $408 Kevin Moo made my favorite forklift, a super durable motorized model. Model Designer Parts Value Cement Truck LasseD 1,520 $245 This cement truck is different from all my other models because it the drum is made of all System parts. Uses a clever system to control the drum rotation with a single remote. Includes the rare letters for the grille.
  6. No, the prices are based on current Bricklink market value. In some cases this is far below original price and in other cases it is far above. I've already listed a few of them on Bricklink, but I don't really want to list them until they have been disassembled and are actually ready to ship. The prospect of taking them all apart is incredibly daunting and I have been making only slow progress. ~1M Technic parts will really mess up your fingertips!
  7. Both, although I'm keeping a few favorites. I've sold a fair number of the sets on Bricklink already, but most have not even been listed yet. For the MOCs, I've only sold a handful so most of them still remain. I am overdue to post pictures of them all, but there are so many I just haven't had time.
  8. I actually intend to do this. I need to put a picture of each MOC for sale to make it more obvious to everyone what we are talking about. I'll also put a few notes about each one.
  9. Way over. Average price would be well over $500 even without 42056 (which I don't think I'm going to sell yet). You can PM once you reach 10 posts. By the way, anything is over $500 if you offer over $500.
  10. I am not selling individual sets one by one. Please see my clarification earlier in this topic. That has been brought up before and discussed at some length. If you check out the primary Technicopedia topic on this forum you can read about it. I pretty sure Maico Arts in Europe also has them. Never talked to him directly though. I've thought about that. If no one buys the sets then that's what will end up happening! Yes, I've thought about that. In fact, I just did exactly that with my Star Wars UCS sets. If I get desperate enough, I may go that route. That's not a bad idea either. Of course, that only works if Technicopedia is up to date, which it isn't. I've only documented up through 2000, so if I want to continue the site I'd have to keep all sets newer than that for now. Update: I've updated the first post in this topic with the MOC list so it will be easy to find. I also added Sheepo's VW Bus which I thought I had torn down but I didn't so it is available too. I will scratch things off the list when they sell.
  11. Technic models would never sell at BrickCon. There is too little interest in Technic in the USA.
  12. Yes, most of the GBCs are already gone. Luckily I found good homes for most of them. The RoscoPC models actually don't belong to me. I built and stored them for another AFOL in a somewhat unconventional gentleman's agreement. It's fascinating to see how much other people know about my collection, surmising what is missing from my list!
  13. I have temporary instructions that were never released. Sadly, it looks like Sheo has dropped off the Earth since all his media have been taken down, so I don't know if it is possible to get his permission to share them.
  14. Thanks for your thoughts. Given that in all the years I've had a "donate" button on Technicopedia I've collected less than $50, it is hard to imagine anyone contributing anything toward maintaining my collection in return for ..... nothing. The main payback I've gotten from Technicopedia is all the comments from people who enjoyed it. Those mean a lot to me, but they don't pay the bills. I've amassed a lot of knowledge from having built all those sets, but it had to end somewhere. I can't keep buying every new set year after year and just pack them into my garage forever. It would be cool to keep adding to Technicopedia as new sets come out, but it just doesn't seem feasible. Of course, it wasn't feasible for me to do what I've already done, but reality had to catch up with me sooner or later. In the back of my mind I always imagined someday renting a large retail space and just setting up every set and MOC and calling it a museum. Realistically, I would never have time for such a thing unless I quit my job, and even then it would never make enough to even pay the rent in the USA. It was a good dream though. I'm glad that I was able to share my passion for this hobby to the extent that I have and I won't forget all the like minded people around the world with which I was able to share.
  15. Looks like I've opened Pandora's box here. You should see my PM inbox. Some of the confusion is my own fault for not putting more information in the original post. To clarify, I am NOT looking to sell individual sets one by one here on Eurobricks. That would be a lot more work than selling them on Bricklink and I'm trying to save effort here, not add more. What I was looking for was a buyer for some considerable chunk of sets (at least $500), or for the MOCs which can't really be sold on Bricklink. With that in mind, I'll put a list below of all the MOCs that I have currently available for sale along with the designer of each to help you understand which is which. The "Value" column is just a straight export from a Brickstore parts list of the average Bricklink price of the parts alone. This serves as a good starting point for negotiation. Please feel free to make an offer on any of these MOCs. If you are interested in sets, please choose a group of sets worth at least $500. I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't a single person actually interested in that number of sets, but it can't hurt to try. 16. I have the boxes for more than half of them, and certainly for anything newer than 2005. For the older sets I collected them whether they had a box or not, so I kept the boxes when I had them. Probably 50 or so have no box. In most cases people do not want to pay to ship the boxes so they will end up getting thrown out. I am in the Seattle, Washington area. There are a couple of problems with an exhibition idea. First, at least half of the sets are boxed and not available for display anyway. That also means I can't take photos of everything, but if you go to my Bricksafe you can see pictures of everything I have. Second, hardly anyone in the USA cares about Technic so no one would come. I'm not sure. Without the sets I can't take pictures. I could go 100% digital, but a lot of the commentary can only come from building the model first. I will at least leave the web site up in its current state. That's actually a very interesting idea. I have found a museum and I am discussing the matter with the curator. However, I'm not sure I would get much of any money for them this way, but it would be a pleasant way to preserve everything. Sadly, it is looking like it will be difficult to sell these sets at all, much less make a killing. I had to import almost everything from Europe and there is very low interest here. I already have a Bricklink shop but the sets are not getting any interest. The Konghead is awesome! Have fun with it. Check out my RC site to see the upgrades I made to it which really helped the handling.
  17. Well, I don't have multiple rooms actually. Back in about 2000 I had some land and built an out-building with the lower floor for woodworking and the upper floor for LEGO. So there I had dedicated space but it was not in the house. In my next house I had a much smaller room, and only the one room. In the 3rd house I had a room about the same size, still only one. In my current house I don't have any dedicated display or building space in the house, I just use the garage. I hope so too. There is still quite a lot rattling around in my brain. Websites don't take up any space, and digital models don't cost anything.
  18. Yeah, I mean like half a million parts. So I think that counts as significant. Bricksafe is a pretty good start. It shows almost everything I have. Coming up with prices for MOCs is hard. I have parts lists for everything so I can say the average value of the raw parts, but the process of collecting them all was massive in many cases, especially when rare parts were involved. I am not really looking to make any profit, I just want to recover my investment. I am not selling anyone's IP so that means you are on your own for instructions. If free instructions are available, just download them. If instructions are for sale, you would have to buy them from the owner. In a few cases, there are no instructions so if I took the MOC apart it might be nearly impossible to put it back together. I can post a list of MOCs, but honestly I am not sure how to price them. My fingers are already weeping at the thought of trying to take these all apart for shipping. Ideally I'd find a local buyer but the odds of that are about the same as me dating Kate Upton. OK, but not great.
  19. Both of these are about right. The collection is totally out of control. It fills many rooms in my house and also my garage and attic. I need to make some space and recover some money from my large investment. I am not totally getting out of LEGO, just getting out of the "historical collector" market and into something more reasonable, just keeping a few of my favorites. I spent about 15 years putting this collection together, and I'm a bit burned out. My hobbies have ebbed and flowed over the years. About 15 years ago I had a business making custom telescope kits. I was also heavily into high power rocketry for a while. I did the RC airplane thing, and then helicopters. Then I was building Pocher models. At the moment I'm into scale RC trucks. Way back I even used to rebuild my own car engines. I did woodworking for a while too. It is too expensive and takes too much space to do them all at once, so I am backing down on LEGO for a while. I'm sure the pendulum will swing back in time. You can see a common thread here, and it is building things. One way or another, I need to be making mechanical things work.
  20. The time has come for me to part with a major portion of my collection. As many of you know, I have every Technic set from the beginning in 1977 up until 2017. I also have around 100 MOCs built averaging about 2000 parts each. There's a significant investment here, but actually getting anything out of it is a daunting thought. Bricklinking everything could take me several years. So I thought I would create a post here (with Jim's permission) to see if anyone is interested in a significant portion. I can post a list of available MOCs if necessary. Update, including the MOC list and average part price in the first post. 21. You should absolutely feel free to cut a rib or two off of a 12L hose to make them fit properly.
  22. Super glorious display. I can't agree with leaving out the Brabham fan car though. I've built that one and it is awesome. You do have a couple of the newer ones that I never got around to. I had a display at BrickCon in 2012.
  23. I predict it will get picked up by various Star Wars blogs out there. Your server is going to get hammered!
