  1. It isn't!?! Are you sure? It's omission is a travesty. I built your V12 from an LDD file without any instructions, and I recall it being quite a challenge. Perhaps some kind soul will step up and make a PDF of this before I get around to building it.
  2. Not a requirement, just an indicator. I think everything on my shelf is in the HOF, but not everything in the HOF is on my shelf. So if your model makes it my shelf, that is a good indicator that it will also show up in the HOF.
  3. Thanks Courbet! Have you actually built this module in real bricks to try it out? Just hoping it can get tested before final instructions are released.
  4. It all depends on the size of fishing line. I used 50 lbs test line which is very thick so it does not cut into LEGO pieces. Of course, this also means it is more visible.
  5. This thing looks so awesome. I hope I can find a way to add it my shelf.
  6. I have used high strength fishing line along with hooks to hang models. I even did this with the heavy UCS Death Star II.
  7. I mostly buy parts, but I sometimes recycle models when I run out of room which is happening more often lately. I think I took apart 3 cars this year.
  8. In attempt to sanitize and recover from The Great Canine Fecal Disaster of 2016, I was forced to move my supercar shelf out of the room to access the carpet. This meant taking all the cars off the shelf and stashing them somewhere for a day or two. This is the result.
  9. I love everything about this. It is glorious. Now we just need to put Arvo's micro version next to it for the complete set.
  10. There's no way to know who it is for sure, but if Jim vouches for him it must be someone super awesome.
  11. He is a large dog, but not that big. I have no idea what kind of contortions were required for this particular deposition. He worked hard at it. The output ramp is much less effective after his modifications. This certainly occurred to me. No more holding parts in my mouth. This module will get hosed down, disassembled, and run through the dishwasher.
  12. I don't think of the T-Rex as a B-model because 8485 is a univeral set so all the models are main models. I suppose it is a matter of opinion though.
  13. The former seems to be a clearly updated and improved version of the latter. Are you working with the older design just because better views are available?
  14. The submarine is fantastic. Best B-model, in my opinion.
  15. Thanks for the answers! 7.5Wh is a huge capacity. That is more than my 1:8 Traxxas E-Revo. You should be able to run a LEGO motor almost forever on that charge. Assuming standard max discharge is 1 Amp, this will run for 7 hours! Are you using 2 cells, nominal 7.2V? Does your charger balance the cells? If this involves soldering, a big warning to anyone attempting it. If you bridge the terminals while soldering you will start a fire and possibly an explosion. That battery should be good for 1000 charges though, so with that high capacity it should last almost forever.
  16. It is always nice to see a Technic creation of a topic I have never seen before. This is certainly one. Well done! I love the personality in such a simple creation.
  17. I'd be interested to know the battery specs. The Kickstarter seems to say they are using NiMH cells which should have high current output, but how many cells is it and what capacity? I'd also like to know what voltage is applied in "fast" mode. Sure you can make a motor run faster with a higher voltage, but it will also draw a lot more power and I don't know if there is a current limiter. Can you fry a motor?
  18. I love that you have collected all of this in one place. My only concern with your mods is that you are still on Box 1 so we don't know to what extent these mods might interfere with the body later and/or require additional modification. I am awaiting your findings on this matter. I assume you will also end up making the body removable when you get to that point. I have made that mod myself but must admit that it is still quite a procedure to get the body off.
  19. An aspirational name, to be sure, but it really called that.
  20. I don't think you are ever going to be able make a lego compressor which will run an LPE at any speed. You would need dozens of cylinders, maybe a hundred, with many motors and battery boxes. Even a small Porter Cable 1gallon shop compressor can't keep up.
  21. An LPE requires a large continuous volume of pressurized air. Running it from a LEGO compressor or an air tank is not really feasible except at low speed or a very short period of time. You need a big shop compressor to keep up with it.
  22. The wheels and tires alone are worth a lot, but as for the rest it is hard to say unless it is known whether any of the models are complete. I guess you should try building them!
