  1. Not too long ago I made (seperate) bricklink purchases for a used 6285 Black Seas Barracuda and a used 6286 Skull's Eye Schooner. Then, yesterday, I went on S@H and bought one each of: 7037 Tower Raid 7038 Troll Assault Wagon 7040 Dwarves' Mine Defender and 7048 Troll Warship
  2. I voted: Impulse- Fat Tony because I really think unless LEGO uses the old style of cannon, this is how they would do it. Plus, it makes those damn ugly spring loaded things look really good. Small Class- SlyOwl because it is a very neat looking little set that I wouldn't mind having myself. Large Class- SlyOwl because that is a mighty fine looking vessel! There were other great entries too! Great job everyone!
  3. Sorry to bring up an old topic once again, but I was really interested in these opinions for reference. I think that if the BSB would have had a 4 gun broadside, it would have changed a few minds. I don't really like the red and white sails, but then again I'm not a big fan of the idea of converting it into an Imperial or merchant ship. I have an Imperial Flagship, so I am familiar with the steering-rutter mechanism. Personally, I could do without it, but I'm too much of a purist to remove it. I thought I was done buying pirate LEGO for a little while after my phase had run it's course, but I guess not, having just bought both a used BSB and a used SES off of Bricklink. Geeze, over $350 without shipping right there. Looks like I'll need to get a summer job. :0
  4. There were some pretty funny ones in there. I thought number 3 was cute, and 9 made me laugh. 15 was true and funny too, but I had to go with number one.
  5. It's beautiful. Such a great creation using LDraw. I've been watching the Western channel nearly religiously now a days, so something like this strikes a chord. I love all the detail and hope to see it built sometime!
  6. Well, I figured my incoming castle factions need somewhere to stay, so I picked up their headquarters with yet another purchase from bricklink (making it the third time this week ). So this time I got: 6082 Fire Breathing Fortress and 6075 Wolfpack Tower
  7. The addiction continues with another couple bricklink purchases for: 6105 Medieval Knights (3x's) and 6038 Wolfpack Renegades
  8. That's certainly a wonderful little design. Geeze, you chuck these out so fast, it's very impressive. I think I saw Hinkley's request for the midget slave krabs in another of your threads. Hilarious. Can't wait to see more!
  9. Well, with book-buy-back time at the University, I had some money to throw around. Every once in awhile it seems that I get hooked out of no where on a line and have to buy several sets. I swear it's a disease. Last time it was Imperial Guards from Pirates. This time it actually happened to be Fright Knights from Castle. So I just bought: 2538 Fire-Cart 2539 Flying Machine 2540 Catapault Cart (Two of each.) 6004 Crossbow Cart 6027 Bat Lord's Catapult (Two of these.) 6031 Fright Force 6099 Traitor Transport (The one with the cave.) and 6097 Night Lord's Castle From 4 different sellers, all MISB. For some reason I HAVE to buy MISB. There is just nothing like opening the box for the first time.
  10. I would like to state my GREAT apprecation for Lamanda2 also. I should have done this sooner, as her shipping was excellent and her product was perfect!
  11. I just got back into town today to find my capes waiting for me. They are PERFECT!! I absolutely love them. Thank you so much, Lamanda2, for a perfect transaction and truly excellent products. Oh, and thanks for the little extras, they made my day!!
  12. I always mark out for RebelRock's MOCs because I know the work is going to be fantastic. This is no exception. From the structure itself to the landscaping, the Wizard's Castle is yet another astounding creation by an astounding creator.
  13. Haha, you always have some clever ideas. Great piece usage to come up with that shape. Another cool addition in your great series of racers.
  14. Sweet! Thank you, I can't wait! And neither can those who will soon be wearing them.
  15. Hey, Lamanda2! I've loved all the customs I've seen of yours on Classic-Castle, and finally I think I may be able to snag some for myself! These came along at the PERFECT time, as I was looking for capes, and these are terrific! I resigned up on PayPal just for this, so my order should arrive soon enough!
  16. Absolutely awesome! I would have picked it up purely for the unique factor alone, but it is just such a cool set that there would be no objections for purchasing it. I think the price is (star) justified ;-) when you think of the production aspects. I'm not a huge space fan, but I appreciate this enough that I feel my purchase would be more like a donation, informing LEGO to keep the fan-creations coming! The set itself is packed with everything you need to dish out some Justice...STAR Justice. Okay, I don't want to take sides just yet, because the Space Skulls set is eagerly awaited by more than just me. Thank you so much, Chris Giddens, because if these types of fan created sets are going to continue down the line, I couldn't think of a better way to start!
  17. I voted for Jipay's entry because I love the look of the outside, and all of the action everywhere else. The cover art of the set tells a story in itself, and I think that is really cool. *y* I chose Eurobricks Stories because I thought we should steer from the Block Block-like names and get something really neat and original. It might not be the most clever name, but I love it for it's boldness! :-P
  18. Sweet first pic review! *y* I got this set for a birthday present last year, and it is pretty fun overall. The alien ship in this set is actually one of my favorites. It just looks cool, and the way you can fold it out is really clever. The only negative for me is the cockpit of the mining unit. Not really because it isn't detailed, but because mine is top heavy, and keeps falling forward. It's kinda funny if you think about him driving along and then falling forward...but not funny at all when you're playing. |-/
  19. I am still just absolutely fascinated by the fact that these were created using the computer program. 8-
  20. After finding out these were available in the U.S., I placed an order for: 7041 Troll Battle Wheel 10185 Green Grocer And already available sets (though the Indy set was sold out for a while): 8114 Chameleon Hunter 7622 Race for the Stolen Treasure and 5615 The Knight X's 4 $248.92 without shipping. *sigh*
  21. Thanks for that information! I just bought one.
  22. I just think this whole thing is so interesting. The fact that they were designed by outside entities, that they'll be sold as $100 boxes (which is great so I wont have to pick up each individual set and run the risk of the smaller ones selling out. u_u), and that LEGO chose to go with Space are all very cool in my opinion. I love the look of both sides so far, I can just imagine that giant skull robot whirling it's tentacles around as that little speeder flies between them. :-D So far so good, and I can't wait to see the rest and for them to come out, which isn't too far away! :-)
  23. I keep all of my sets assembled and displayed around my room. Although, I really don't have space for more, many end up on the floor in the corner. But it's okay, because (even at my age) they'll all get played with at some point or another. :-D
  24. I bought one of these new from Bricklink a few months ago as part of my Pirate splurge I went on. I really enjoyed this set because of the amount of figs in such a small set, though Pirates were always pretty good about their fig count. Also the neat little hut is nicely done for its purpose. Great review, btw!
  25. Nope, it still looks as it does on the box cover. Although I'm not really a modder anymore, anyway.
