Holy cow, what a fantastic job! Not only was the animation expertly done, the storyline was like something out of The Twilight Zone! Great work!

Basic Lego on list of 100 Things Your Kids May Never Know...
Kliq replied to Derek's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hey I just read this and came right here to see if anyone posted it yet. That is crazy to think about, but even I became a Lego fan after multiple new shapes had been introduced. Bionicle, though, is a different story. I remember Galidor, the flick disk guys and then Bionicle being introduced. But I suppose everything evolves in one way or another, and the fact that soon kids won't know a time with soley basic bricks isn't all that bad. Just more variety and more different themes to spend money on. -
Man this set looks good. I don't watch cartoons much, so I haven't seen the CW series and can't comment on how well it actually compares to the television show, but from a LEGO set standard, I'd say it's top notch. The fact that it has a handle is what amazes me. Try picking up the ISD with one hand without people gasping. Another thing, I think the office room is really cool, and the gunner with a sliding turret seems really fun to me. The bombing mechanism looks really cool too. I cannot wait to pick up this set. I'd say the price is worth it for unique-ness alone.

Thank you, thank you for this fantastic review. This has been one of the sets I was looking forward to most from the Star Wars summer line. The sliding door mechanism looks great, as do the minifigs. Great work on the review, and I'm very envious of you having this set.

Very well put together, it matches really good with the rest of the Troll line. At first I thought it actually was a set!

Holy cow, how cool? I might just have to get a DS for this, I love medieval strategy games.

I'm sad to see so many negative feelings toward something that could make big bucks for our lovable hobby. It almost seems like people are forgetting that it is not manditory to purchase, and a simple "I'll pass" would suffice. I'm nearly 99% sure that I will not be getting this (not being a big video gamer) but I am so excited about what this could mean. Giving Lego even more exposure can only be a good thing, especially since they are attaching themselves to such a huge franchise. More fans and more money simply means greater quality for what I'm more interested in: the sets! Good work, Lego. :]

Haha, this is hilarious! Great MOC, I especially love the copy machine. :]

Very cool decals! I think that I like the last one the best, the tattoo is so neat. And yes, Brickforge makes some great weaponry!

I agree about resizing the pics, but this an incredible MOC! The figures are very well done! Ooo, nevermind I see you beat me to it!

I suddenly had this urge to get a bunch of old houses that Lego has put out. Oh, and a camper. http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e290/Zel...ouseCollage.jpg The link will take you to a small collage of the sets, 12 total. Thank you Bricklink 'Wanted' list for making things easier.

Hey, thanks for that information!

I certainly have this same problem as well. Eventually I had to line the floor in front of my dresser, entertainment center, bookshelf, desk, any other outlining floor space with sets. I did have some outlining my bed, but after too many wrong steps, they had to go.

I've found bits of old Crayon in my Lego bin before. Sometimes a pen cap or a rubber band will find their way in there as well.

I haven't been on Bricklink for more than a few years, but for the most part found it easy to navigate when I first joined. I'm not even sure what the 'wanted list' is all about, as I've never used it. If I wanted a lot of parts, sets, and various minifigures all at the same time, I just searched for the best results for each, then took notes and tried to find which stores I could buy the most of the things that I was after to consolidate shipping that way. As for saving shopping carts, I've always just opened a new window. I think that we all expect technology to constantly improve to make our lives better, and maybe Bricklink is still a little old school in that respect, but I'm sure they'll improve their format one day. I bet there is a way to contact them to deliver your problems directly, like through their own message board.

I bet that would look neat as an ornament on a smaller Christmas tree.

I have to say this is one of the best reviews I've seen yet. Great detail, and clear pictures. Even though I do have this set, you've made me remember why I got it in the first place, and maybe even influenced me to appreciate it more. Very well done!

Very well done review! Nice clear pictures. This set looks very good compared to other, more hollow looking sets. SNOT = Studs Not On Top So a SNOT technique would be any method used so that the studs aren't facing upwards.

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
Kliq replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Sweet, thanks! I'll have to keep my eyes peeled around here. -
I voted for the Jester. Just a really neat minifig.

Any news like this, especially during these times, is a shame, but I can't say that I'm surprised. I haven't seen a KBToys around here in years.

Good Lord I love these Indiana Jones cars. I can't wait for this to become available here. :]

A lot of the time you can get sets real cheap when you find a set that isn't listed properly, or doesn't have the correct name or number that might otherwise attract those who are specifically searching for that item and are willing to pay top dollar for it. If you're willing to be a real scavanger and search for misspelled names, or continuously look under 'ending soonest', you can find Lego that might have gone under the radar. I've found some great classic-castle sets fairly inexpensively simply because the lister had stated 'Bllack Knight' rather than 'Black Knight'. Hope that helps!
-
Very cool! For the axles, as you said they were cut flex tubes, but do you think a short bar (like the harry potter wands) would work? I might have to test this out.

This has to be the most random thread I have ever clicked-into on Classic-Pirates. The pirate hat looks surprisingly good on him, maybe Lego will see this and re-produce him to include in future pirate sets.
