Thanks for the better scan, Sinner! I wonder if LEGO realizes that they have the Trolls running the wrong way on the wheels...
-
How cool is this? The whole 'troll-warrior' faction is just getting better and better. LEGO is getting more innovative with smaller details, such as the troll drummer on the ship, and now this battle wheel. Look at all those figs! My gosh, I think I'm going to have to get a job.

Well for some reason I'm in a 'buy a bunch of minifigs' mood, so I bought a bunch of guys off bricklink that resemble bounty hunters. I also bought the 'lord of the jungle' minifig that came with the jungle Adventurers sets because I thought he would look neat next to King Kahuka and the islanders. I also just realized that the Alpha Team bad guy Ogel is LEGO spelled backwards. *y*

I do the same. I figure that if it doesn't sound smooth, you might as well just spell it out. BURP sounds good, MOC sounds good, but AFOL just sounds ridiculous.

I voted for the Imperial Flagship. Those are some mean sails. I'm no nautical expert, but by the looks of it, I'd say the Imperial Flagship would be faster because of them. Plus, it has a compass! As for crew, the Clipper does have more finely trained soldiers, but the Flagship has an officer besides the Admiral, so if something were to happen to either one of them, the other could take command! X-D Besides, what does the Governor know about leading a crew of sailors on the open sea? He needs to stick with the wine in his fortress and leave the seas to the Admiral. In addition, the Flagship has a little shoe shiner to do all the dirty work.

Don't forget, the DS will continue to decline in price, whereas the CC wont be sold for much longer and will probably increase in price.

I had to choose MOC #1 because of the water pouring technique. 8-

That's a really good idea. Like you said, though, the only MISB sets I was able to purchase were smaller in size.
-
My original goal when buying as many of the old school Imperial sets as possible, was to get them MISB. Of course I eventually found out that would be financially draining, X-D , so I'd say a good 1/3 of them are MISB. I just love opening the packaging and being the first to put together the glowing pieces. *wub* I do understand the value aspect of it though, and always save the box or attempt to purchase the set with one, just in case I would ever need to resell, though I don't see that ever happening. >:-) My max bid on ebay is always the most reasonable Bricklink price, and once it goes over that, I'm done. The latest Imperial Trading Post MISB on ebay went for a little over $600. I used to have a big hang up on buying used, but as long as the pieces are in excellent condition (like the set had been built and displayed or packed away and then sold) I'll enjoy them just as much. ANYWAY, would I open MISB? Yes! I have far too much fun with LEGO to leave them alone.

Since losing both bids on these on ebay, I decided to take my business to the sure thing once again, bricklink! So chalk these up on my purchased list: 6277 Imperial Trading Post 6263 Imperial Outpost

After ordering: MISB 6258 Smuggler's Shanty MISB 6237 Pirates Plunder from Bricklink a few days ago, I've since added: 6266 Cannon Cove 6271 Imperial Flagship MISB 6247 Bounty Boat 6268 Renegade Runner 6251 Pirate Mini Figures to that list.
-
I voted for Cap'n SlyOwl's sensational Feast of the Dead. I loved the look of 007's, but I was just taken in by Cap'n SlyOwl's idea.
-
Hey guys, I just had a quick question. I know the Renegade Runner does not come with a steering wheel, but is there room on deck for one? I wasn't sure, and couldn't quite tell from pictures other than the fact that it is pretty close quarters.
-
I love all of your pictures. They remind me of why I love the Western theme. :-$ I agree, a comic in this scenery would be great! Great photography all around. *y*
-
What a great scene! This is a perfect example of what a vignette is supposed to be like. *wub* I have to say that the mime/man in the window is actually really scary, LEGO or not... :'-(
-
I just purchased: 6258 Smuggler's Shanty & 6237 Pirates Plunder Literally just now. :-D They were my first ever bricklink order so I am pretty excited to tell everyone. :-$
-
Yea, I've seen those before. Its funny what some people will still be willing to bid on them though. That's what I hope to have happen here. It seems I'm bidding against someone who is just going to resell the item (from what I can see in their bid history). Not saying there might not be someone who would enjoy it more than me, but I would certainly appreciate it if I won! X-D
-
I agree, there is some absolute ebay madness going on. *wacko* I am currently bidding on an item from Lockhand, so I don't want to go there, but there are others who seem to take pride in capturing everything they can at the last possible second. |-/ I don't know where they get the money to do it, I guess they are making a pretty penny. You look at the bid history on some of these guys you are bidding against and see that it is in their style to bid mere seconds before the closing bell. It is a scary thing! X-O I want to be cautious, as I am bidding against some of these same people, but I suppose it is clever, and I guess it is successful. Hopefully I can beat them at their own game. X-D

I've heard of BrikWars, but haven't gotten involved myself. Personally I am interested in what the concept artist has to say. I've been reading through that link you provided, and there is some very interesting stuff in there! 8-

This is very cool, RebelRock. I love the wagon wheels combined with tank treads! :'-) I always kinda enjoyed the Star Wars guns, but they look even better here.
-
Well I suppose there are reasons for everything. Don't get me wrong, I have great apprectiation for MOCs, just an overwhelming (and stubborn X-D ) love for my completed sets. Thanks for the continued welcomes you guys!

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars minifigures?
Kliq replied to Darthking623's topic in LEGO Star Wars
My personal favorite has to be the Imperial Guard minifigure. It was just so cool to see LEGO produce one. I can remember seeing a couple for the first time with the Emperor's shuttle. They were the buying point for me! :'-) Regardless if I bought one or not. X-D However, my lust for them continued until I purchased the Imperial Star Destroyer, and I have been happy ever since. At least, until I saw the Rebel BPs... 8- -
Yet another great LEGO Pirate set that I may never own... *sad* It looks great and has a real rugged feel to it. The colors are pretty solid and the crew is certainly substantial. I really like it when compared to the others, and a small fleet of them would look good on any shelf, especially mine, but I digress. :-D It is a shame (not for the sellers X-D ) that such classics go for high prices, and to ever find one reasonable, especially on ebay, you certainly have to be sly. But isn't that what being a Pirate is all about? *sweet* Or in this case Imperial, but I am sure there was a bit of corruption here or there within the ranks. 8-
-
Very neat! I personally like matador 3. The creation of the bull is very clever, but like Loco de Lego mentioned, a tail would be a great addition. Very cool idea for the nose piece. 8-

I haven't bought a Castle set for a couple months, but of the new line I currently have: 4 Catapult Defenses 6 Crossbow Attacks 1 King's Castle Siege 1 Skeleton Prison Carriage 4 Final Jousts 1 Skeleton Tower and 1 Skeleton Ship Attack I really wanted to get a Dwarve's Mine ASAP, but a Star Wars Trade Federation MTT made sure that didn't happen.
