I have to admit I was busting out laughing while reading many of the things posted on the site. However, I have no idea what 'Po' means, which was apparently flagged. So any word that has a "P" followed by an "O" is banned from being a username. Some of these restrictions are hilarious, and others are ridiculous. Michelle is banned because of 'Hell', that one made me laugh quite a bit.

I haven't been too opinionated about the Castle line lately, but looking at what's to come and what we've had, I have a few things to say about it. First, I would not like to see any more lone "towers" that lack sensability. I understand with a seige engine kids are going to want something to attack, but when I picked up the Troll Seige Tower, I have this hollow random tower to do something with. Now in the upcoming line I see another tower that doesn't look anymore pleasing than the last one. I'm not saying scrap the tower all together, but an "Idea for a Future Castle Set" could be a much more relevant tower or wall that can be attatched to the main structure or be detailed enough that it wouldn't look completely ridiculous and random on its own. Second, continue to bring back carts guarded by soldiers, but make them decent looking. The prison cart coming out in the upcoming line is ridiculous! I understand it gets a thumbs up because we've been asking for such a thing as a throwback to the carts of yesterday, but this cart is so foolish in many ways. The prisoner looks like he could hop the fence pieces that comprise the 'jail' section of the cart. If we are going to get a cart, I would thoroughly enjoy having one hauling supplies, carrying troops, or if it is going to be for prisoner transport, make sure the prisoner couldn't hop to freedom! Also, I hate the stationary hitch on many carts. Even some of the wagons and such of the 80's early 90's had hinged hitches that allowed the horse to turn without dragging the wheels of the cart along with it. A simple rotary piece can change the whole thing, and make it much more appealing, at least to me. Third, a modular wall system. I know, I know, we've been asking for this forever. We were spoiled in the past, even if by looking at my Flickr Gallery you can see that joining up all of the modular sets is hard to accomplish if you want the castle to look even on all sides. Lego can improve this! By making an armory, blacksmith, inn, etc each with the same length of wall, or multiples of the same length, we could expand our castles ten fold without having to worry how many studs long a wall section is. I understand that the children who have playtested the 'civilian' sets prefered technic launchers in comparisson, but substituting the tower in 7948 with a nice armory that can attach to 7946 would be perfect! My perfect Lego Castle line would look something like... -Big Generic Castle comprised of two evenly spaced hinged walls that fold open to allow for expandability. Eight soldiers of various types defend the King or some cool looking leader. (Yes, I do like the idea of having a king or a leader simply because they usually have very cool clothes/accessories.) -A length of wall with a blacksmith working behind it, his shop being part of the inside of the wall. This is being attacked by a well designed catapult and a couple of generic soldiers, with a few other generic soldiers manning the wall. -A longer length of wall with some other civilian working doing his job. This is being attacked by a siege tower or a couple of soldiers with ladders, obviously the wall is being defended again by archers or spearmen. -A length of wall with four generic soldiers. What a sweet "battle pack", eh? You could buy 100 of these and have a use for every one. The soldiers would increase your army and the walls would be more walls to expand your castle! -A smaller enemy fortification with generic soldiers that can be expanded, hinting at future sets for the next line. This would be a dream. One large set, two medium-ish sets, one small set, and one "battle pack". The next line could introduce another large castle for another faction or simply another fortification for an existing one, and everything is usable to expand your castle. Kids would buy a bunch of sets and go home to construct a huge castle, then invite their friends over, "Mom! His castle is four generic modular wall sections larger than mine! Can we please go to Target and pick up some additional sets of this incredible line?" How wonderful!

A superb review! Adventurers will always have a special place in my heart, and it was sets like this that helped "build" that. This set has everything: good guys, bad guys, vehicles, a base, and some excellent Lego-style dinosaurs. The car is simple and effective, the boat fits right in, and the plane has a cool look all its own. The base is very neat in a couple different levels. Lots of playability with the radar dish, the flying net, the crane, etc. Overall a very fun set reviewed incredibly well. :]

What a wonderful review! This set looks absolutely amazing. I have the same feeling about it as I felt when the oriental castle came out for the Adventurer's theme. I don't think I'll be collecting much of this theme, but if I do pick out one set to get, this would certainly be it. One question, and perhaps it has been answered somewhere else but I'll just ask you. Is that a new axe? It almost looks like, when measured from the top of a stud it is about 5 1/2 bricks high, where the old axe is basically 5 bricks high. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :]

This is a VERY nice review! The microfigs look great and the game seems simple enough that just about any age can play. I really think most of these Lego board games are actually pretty cool, and this is no exception. :]

Yes! THIS is the minifig of the upcoming series I have been the most excited about. I really should take pictures of my Pro Wrestling ring/stadium, and I most certainly will when I get this guy to add to my minifig fighter roster. :]

FOUR shields in the Lion pack? Nice! A little low on short swords, though. Everything else looks nice, even if I STILL don't like the maces too much.

Thank you so much for posting this. It was a very good time-lapse for your first outing. :] I especially loved seeing the interiors of the 2nd and 3rd floors! It looks like a great build, and a worthy addition to the rest of the line. :]

Ever since the first time I saw that this theme was heading toward human v. human I've been very excited. Fantasy has its place, but it's certainly not my favorite. I love each and every last one of the sets in this line, regardless of whether or not they are the final designs. The large castle (as has been said a million times) brings back feelings of older castle sets, and incorporates all of the great features that could still be used today, though I do miss string. :[ The smaller opposing fortification looks very nice for what it's meant to be. I just cannot stress how happy I am with these pictures. It has been a long time since two human factions have both had great looking sets. I cannot wait for these sets to be released.

I think I get it! Fire hydrant near the right on the box fortold the FB, just like the woman with a PURSE on the right of the box art of the FB fortold the GE! Shopping with her purse! Haha, it is probably a stretch, but it's fun to make theories. Edit: So I'll throw my 2 cents out there and say next we will get a post office! :]

What an incredible set! All I can say is 'must have'. I see the nay-sayers, and I truly believe this will be one set that you have to see a more clear picture of or see in person to truly understand the spectacular design. I'm not so sure this isn't on par with Cafe Corner or Green Grocer, those two are old news. This absolutely fascinates me in a way I haven't felt since CC came out. The billboard on top, the window washer, the details of Svelte's MOC that I loved (well most of them ), the action going on outside. All of this just screams to me. The only thing I can say is that I wonder what is inside, especially on the top two floors. I'm also curious about the back. I would be very happy if it enclosed an entire square base, to give more room inside. I still really like the Fire Station, but I haven't bought it yet because I wasn't sure how far Lego was going to go with this series. Now it looks full steam ahead, so I'm going to have to get that as well. All very exciting!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
Kliq replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Holy cow, a pro-wrestler minifig? All of my wildest dreams have come true. I'm in question with many others about what else would be in the bag with them. The figs with their little accessories would just be great by themselves, though. :] Gosh I'm so excited. -
There are a LOT of great details here. Some of my same feelings are summed up in comments/notes left on your flickr, but I suppose there's no harm in restating some praise right? First of all, obviously the landscaping is superb. The mountain formation, the water effects, the shores, the fall, all very nicely and neatly done. It is sad that you are not very proud of the fortification, though, since it is well beyond my level of skill, and I think it looks incredible, especially the way you have built it within the terrain. Nice backstory as well! :]

Welcome to the site! As I'm sure you've noticed, it is a pretty friendly place here. Have fun and enjoy yourself! :]

It is pretty nice to get rewarded for Master Builder events and get invited to VIP only events, but those are the only two things that make this any better than the regular stamp loyalty card. It was interesting to me when I tried to use one of my Lego Gift Cards in Legoland California to buy Lego and they said I couldn't because the park is owned by Disney. So I wonder if this card would be any different.

I have never heard of BrickTW before, but I am so glad you have enlightened me to their existence. :] These weapons, armor, and accessories look great!

The fact that this ship has a DECK right out of the box makes this a top contender for best Lego ship of all time. The lack of string rigging is what keeps it from getting that distinction, but honestly you can't have everything and this far exceeds my wildest dreams for a Lego ship in today's market. I absolutely love every detail about it and cannot wait to set it up next to my SES and BSB. :]

Never build castles next to each other!(battle contest entry)
Kliq replied to Paul cantu's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Great details making this MOC just a lot of fun all around. I laughed out loud at the King and his wheelchair, that is just too great. :] -
That is pretty funny! He probably realized after he landed that he had a choir engagement to attend to and didn't have time to change.

I'm proud to sign! :]

Yes, that's it! Sorry I didn't visit that link, I thought you were refering to TBB posting the instructions, not the finished product. But yes this is exactly what I saw. :]

I'm sure someone else will post it upon seeing this thread, but I know I've seen it solved somewhere. Obviously two of the connections aren't made, but the photo of it is taken at an angle where it looks like it could be complete. If only I knew where it was...

Very well done review! I have to admit I was thinking about passing this set over completely in my gathering of the Space Police sets this year, as I could get Kranxx elsewhere, and I didn't think either of the vehicles looked all that great, but boy was I wrong. I agree that Kranxx's space bike thing looks pretty cool, and I would go so far as to say the officer's does as well. Thanks for enlightening me! :]
