  1. No wonder these guys always bump their heads... Clever idea, good execution! *y* :-D
  2. On S@H for the Netherlands, Hogwarts Castle was Sold Out the same moment they lowered the price. Weird coincidence or lazy updating? I woulda loved to get that set for 25 euros less than it was at first!
  3. We don't wanna put any more pressure on you, bro. Life can get pretty damn busy. Take all the time you need. *sweet*
  4. When did they introduce trans-orange? In their first Indy line? Cause those flames in the Indy sets look waaay better than the neon orange stuff, if you ask me. As for the IndiHana Jonesolo thing... Sure the Han minifig is fairly rare, but this guy's price is nuts. Even if it was a glued collector's item with handpainted details on it that no other version has. But it's not even that.
  5. Sweet tank, too bad it's not real. (Right?) As for the real Indy IV sets... Yay! Mutt has brown hair instead of black. Yay! The dark tan military dude looks awesooome! Yay, aliens! Wait... "yay aliens"? I mean "damn damn damn aliens"! I don't want aliens in an Indiana Jones film :'-( Oh well... At least the set looks cool with all the skulls and natives and raised baseplate.
  6. Mkay... So it's a new Batsuit then? Dark grey with the Batman Begins style bat on it? If that's the case: nice! Harley looks great, as does the Tumbler. I'll have to at least buy Ice Cream Surprise this year! Indy, Indy, Indy... What can I say? The interior of the temple looks frightfully alienesque. Looks good on a LEGO set, but I don't want aliens in an Indiana Jones film. Oh well, this is a LEGO site, I'll save my film gripes for another forum... The Mutt fig looks cool! Brown hair, yay! I love the dark tan military dude too. Awesome torso and face. I wish there was a close-up of the natives cause they seem interesting. What's up with the displaying though? No golden katana, Marion wearing her Lost Tomb outfit...?
  7. Of course it's a pure guess, but I think there's a lot on the other side of the temple, that we haven't seen yet. (Though I wouldn't be holding my breath for additional minifigs.) The whole superfluousness of the Jungle Duel set surprises me. We already have Indy in every set and Spalko and Mutt will be in the Temple thing. INCLUDING their weapons. So what do we want the small set for? Just the tent and golden katana? Cause the ants are in Jungle Cutter too. Weird, weird move.
  8. The guy with the giant hammer? ... 8-
  9. Being the huge Pirates of the Caribbean fan that I am... (Can you guess what's next? ;-)) I am the proud (yes! :-P) owner of Shipwreck cove, Tia Dalma's shack, Davy Jones and Escape from Singapore. Torture me if you must, but I quite like their style of minifigs. Works very well for a licence, I think. However... their construction bricks suck! LEGO always fits, but some parts of my MegaBloks Singapore don't hold together. Even though I'm precisely following the instruction booklet. Some bits just keep snapping out of place. Hmpf. LEGO never presents this problem... I like my Pirates display, MegaBloks sets and all. But their other themes don't interest me in the slightest, so from now on I'll stick to LEGO. Until Pirates 4 comes out, that is. X-D
  10. Thank you for that assesment, mister Butcher, but we've been here since the start. So we have read the whole topic. We're not asking for the comic, we're asking for a teaser. Just one image or a little bit of info. But we'll wait till Zen is ready to unleash his Force upon us, of course. :-)
  11. Seriously? So the person(s) who made that display are pretty clueless, too. Weird mistake to make by TLC. (Sorry if I did something wrong with +/-, I thought that was the quote-button! :-$ ) Let us know how your Indy head adventure turns out, darthperson. I hope you'll get the Indy face.
  12. Not to badger you of course General Zen (>:-)), but have you got a glimpse of anything yet? Greetings from, your Biggest Fan :-$
  13. Yeah, a Gordon is extremely welcome. And of course he should have white hair! That's how the Classic Comic Gordon looks, right? Plus, I -need- a LEGO trenchcoat. Could be reeeaaal sweet for selfmade minifigs like the Tenth Doctor from Doctor Who and Harmonica from Once Upon a Time in the West. Hm... thinking about his hair... Do we want him with a hat or with hair? Cause LEGO never did white hair, did they? For everything there is a first time, though. Here's hopin'! :'-)
  14. Nice review, all the important stuff is there. Weird cock-up by TLC to put an Ani face on Indy... I didn't encounter any mistakes in my four Indy sets. Great selfmade Temple of Doom Indy fig, Piranha! So uhm... Has anyone found out yet what the extra hieroglyphic stickers are for?
  15. Those new stormtrooper helmets look awesome. Way better than the old version. Argh, I might have to buy this set after all...!
  16. Ah, okay. Hadn't seen that interview yet. Thanks Zzz. *y* We be preferrin' direct statements from the gents at LEGO to the paraphrasing of some sitekeeper, arrrr! (Oh sorry, wrong subforum. X-D) True *yoda*, they have a weird policy. Looking at the Agents line, a LEGO tank might indeed be more plausible than I thought. But Indy, Sallah, Marcus, Henry, Elsa and Donovan in one set? Now THAT is pushing it. :-P
  17. Hmmm, I can definitely use the flesh figs for my MOCs. And yay, a monkey! Non-yay: stickers galore. I've been stickering LEGO for years, but they used to print SOME STUFF in the past... Now all we get is blank bricks and stickers.
  18. Can I just say "unimaginative" as a comment on the whole new wave? Seriously, the Tumbler has the exact same minifig lineup as Joker's Escape from last year. Unimaginative! The vehicles Batsy and Freeze drive in that tiny set? Unimaginative! (Not to mention bad looking...) The apparent lack of a new Batsuit? Unimaginative! (I'll drop this last one if it turns out the dark grey blur in the Freeze set IS a new Batsuit after all.) The only good set I see so far (keeping in mind 'PRELIMINARY' is splashed all over these pics) is the one with Harley. And even that one doesn't make me go gaga.
  19. True, the tank scene from Crusade is iconic, but not very likely to be legofied. The planes though... They can get away with planes, right? As long as they don't put any symbols on 'em, it should be fine. However, it would offer the exact same minifig lineup as Motorcycle Chase. That's a bit of a pity. And Zzz: we're basing us on this quote: "Additionally, they revealed that their Indy line would not feature The Temple of Doom as it's themes were 'too dark' and the lack of iconic vehicle scenes in the movie restricted their options further." (source) This objection seems to be quite general. There's no talk of waves, it's about a whole line. And even if they found the thematics "too dark" for the 2008 waves, why would they think differently in 2009? Temple of Doom has been the same film for 24 years, it's not gonna become any friendlier. So either TLC changes their current view, or we're screwed. And that, my friend, is what irks us. Much.
  20. The clones and Plo Koon look fine to me, but dang, what a hideous job they did on Obi... Makes me want to order the Ep III Obi and look at him for a whole day, to forget the horror of his CW version. Could it be? Am I the first person to be enthusiastic about the CW figs at first but turned off by them as I see more pics?
  21. zz080: glued? You mean regular LEGO chess sets are glued? *wacko* That chess set looks soooooo sweet!! It's almost enough to make me forget about that Temple of Doom rumour. It's got pretty much every Castle minifig! King, Princess, Wizards good and bad, knights, archers, dwarves (!!!), skeletons, trolls, big trolls! And then there's lots of weapons and scenery! I *wub* it! Now I kinda regret ordering the king minifig seperately from Bricklink. Oh well. Perhaps he's got a brother who wears a golden armour too, haha. Huge chess sets with almost every minifig totally ON! *y*
  22. Argh! I love those new dragons! So why 'argh', you wonder? Cause they always come in expensive sets. I ordered (all seperate parts of) the black dragon from King's Castle Siege on BrickLink yesterday, and I still wanna buy that Skull Tower set with the red dragon. And now more pics surface of dragon no. 3!!! Argh, coming out of my Dark Ages is sooo bad for my wallet! *skull*
  23. Wow, I really hope those battlepacks aren't magnets. Looks like they're not, cause I can't find a magnet on that skeleton. Where would they put it anyway, in his head? Not much room there, I think. Plus, TLC usually doesn't include weaponry for magnet figs... Non-magnet Castle battlepacks on on on! *wub* Excellent way of collecting the different minifigs and most of the weapons.
  24. Cool that the clones have faces under their helmets! HOWEVER... I'm deeply shocked by a news tidbit stated on the site sam89 linked to. It's about Indiana Jones, so I took the liberty of copying the link and venting my shock in this thread. 8-
  25. In the TIE Army forum, sam89 posted new Clone Wars pics. He linked to a site where he found them. That very same site has a shocking bit of text tucked between the photos: "Additionally, they revealed that their Indy line would not feature The Temple of Doom as it's themes were 'too dark' and the lack of iconic vehicle scenes in the movie restricted their options further." 8-
