  1. Interesting question, jedikermit... For me, the trenchcoat is part of the character. It's like Batman without cape. But if they can't figure out a trenchcoat, sure, I'll take Gordon anyway. I'm hoping they're not going for the cheap solution, which would be the Snape technique. Print his coat over his legs. Though, if it looks good... Ah well. I'll wait and see. But I wouldn't say no to Gordon under any circumstance. A well-made trenchcoat (-effect) however would make me extra happy.
  2. In wave 2, one of the sets is called "Riddler's Hideout", but had Bane as well. So here's hoping Gordon is somewhere in those sets anyway. The villain line-up for wave 3 seems a bit uncreative to me. Wave 2 boasted new figures (certainly Bane, but Riddler and Scarecrow were also new for the non-Arkham-getting countries). But now they've already started recycling Freeze, Penguin and Joker. Huh? How about Ra's Al Ghul, Man-bat, Clayface...? Or Poison Ivy for that matter, she hasn't been made widely available yet.
  3. Oh... Well, if we're all alternating places on top and bottom of the foodchain, I'll stop complaining. :-) Speaking of pics though, I'd still love to see final versions of the other 3 classic Indy sets. Can't wait to find out what they've done with/to Belloq and Marion.
  4. Some people in some countries (USA again? Argh... Lucky kids) can already buy Indy Lego? I shall now jump up and down while eating my hat. A man's gotta do -something- to vent his frustrations. What's with the seperate release dates anyway? Not to mention the exclusives to the US. Isn't Lego originally European? So why are the Americans always getting the cool stuff (first)? I know, I know... Not on topic. But newsflashes like these tend to make me cringe.
  5. I once obtained a small box of fake Pirate Lego on a 'kermis' ('fair'? something with a giant ferris wheel, ponies for the kids, a merry-go-round, etc). It was called Shifty. In my view, they can replace the F with another T.
  6. Gheh, I hear that more often. No one ever mentions Johnny Depp. Shame. Lol. Ah well, Lennon isn't the worst person in the world to look like. *sweet*
  7. The surroundings remind me of London, Not-So-Hairy Ruben. Yet it's in Antwerp? That's pretty close... Also, for those interested (preferably single ladies aged 16-21) - my pic is on my profile page. I imagine I look a bit more like some of you apparently envisioned Ruben. Gheh.
  8. Something small I noticed, but I wanted to comment on it anyway. I love the deep sounding voice they got for Batman. I know minifigs tend not to speak in other ways than 'Huh?' 'Oh-ooh!' or 'Aaah!'. But I dig how even in just the 'huh', Batman sounds like he should. A bit like Kevon Conroy (voice actor of the '90s animated series).
  9. Uhm... I really am that innocent that I actually wanna use the trenchcoat for the Tenth Doctor from Doctor Who. And Gordon himself also kicks uhm... behind. But yeah, more diversity seems to be wanted in multiple lines TLC is producing. City-fans want more than rescuers and Batman-fans want more than just Harley Quinn as a new minifig. Still, I consider myself quite lucky. Harley would be a fantastic addition to the rogue's gallery. And fate has finally revealed why I kept resisting the Batmobile temptation. The Tumbler is coming! Speaking of expectations of cheaper sets for the Penguin and Freeze... I don't suppose you like to buy the magnet sets? That's about as cheap as they get. I guess I wanna kick some TLC a-behind for not delivering a perfectly colored black suited Batman (the gold paint is partly outside the oval) but still. The magnet set line is otherwise working out fine for me.
  10. It is lovely, but when are we gonna get commissioner Jim Gordon? I want a Lego trenchcoat! *wub* (Ideal for Doctor Who 10, I hope... Though I like Gordon enough to buy him with any look.) And how about Nightwing and Poison Ivy in sets that are available EVERYWHERE, not just in the lucky US of A?!
  11. Gheh, on marathons I'm quite the geek too. When Revenge of the Sith came out on dvd, I held an all-six-films 14-hour marathon with a mate. A year later, we watched all the Extended Editions of Lord of the Rings in a row at his house. Pirates 3 is coming out next week... Hm, I think I see another marathon on the horizon. Drink up me hearties, yo ho!
  12. Clerks II Not exactly a movie that charms it's audience with subtleness. But hey, none of Kevin Smith's movies are. So knowing what I was getting into, I... still got surprised. I won't get into details, but even for my open mind, some scenes were pushing it. Beneath all the obsenities, there's a sweet story to be found though. About being an adult, dealing with normal life and the disappointments that go with it. Overall a funny, heartfelt movie with one too 'daring' a scene for me, maybe. Still recommended if you saw (and liked) the first Clerks and/or some of Smith's other films.
  13. Since I'm new to this internet (leaked) info thing... When is a reasonable time to expect more details? Like prices, exact contents. Stuff like "Death Star" can mean anything.
  14. Death Star! HARLEY QUINN!!! (Kevin Smith must've just leapt of joy. If he likes Lego, that is.) And uh... Tumbler? Does that mean we'll be seeing an all-black Batman suit? Would be kinda cool to have (almost) ALL the incarnations of the costume. Dang, 2008 is going to be so hard on my wallet. X-D
  15. As opposed to john cleese, I do listen to music while I build. Actually, I only did that once. Recently. A guilty pleasure... I built the new X-Wing with the Star Wars soundtrack (Throne Room/End Title) blaring. Made me appreciate the moment of unpacking my first Chewie and Leia and building my first X-Wing more.
  16. For some reason I want to shout 'more on!' but that might not sound friendly... ;-)
  17. Ah yes, that makes sense Batbrick. Thanks :-) Haha, Toht... That'd be great! Even without the hand thing, which would be extremely difficult on a minifig. But what we can have: a mean face with glasses, a black uniform and let's not forget - a stylish black hat.
  18. A somewhat late reaction to what that Bad Kid said... 'The recently discovered Indy sets'? Meaning the Crystal Skull ones? Amigo, those are 6 months away. Considering the tight security the filmmakers try to keep on all things Crystal Skull, I bet there won't be any Lego set pics for at least 2 months. (My, that was a long sentence!) Looking at the list I wonder - Why do we need Belloq twice? Seems a bit useless unless they were giving him the jewish ritual garb in one of the sets. But that wouldn't fit the rest of the situation. And why isn't Jock (the pilot) listed in the Escape from the Temple set? Surely he should be flying the plane! *wacko*
  19. No problem, mate. Keep asking if something remains unclear is a good thing. :-)
  20. The bit you're referring to IS the title. What you call 'title' now, is more like your 'rank' (vassal in my case). :-)
  21. If I were empowered to do so, I'd change your name to SlyOwl and give you the TITLE Cap'n. Lucky you, I'm not in any way empowered on this site. ;-) *hides in a corner, hoping not to score the title meanie-face now...* 8-|
  22. If we follow this logic, is Catwoman owner of a pet store or of some freaky adult club? *skull*
  23. Whether The Man is black or not, I still want my Jesus line by TLC! :-P
  24. Oh, totally. Castle has me wishing I had more money. The red Dragon skull tower set can be bought for
