[Comic] A day in life as a Stormtrooper 3
Mr Spielbrick replied to Lt. Veers's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
They lost a battle to Ewoks but NOW you find out they have a slack regime? :-P ;-) If my information is correct, the stormtroopers weren't clones anymore. So I guess you find some individuality under those helmets. Didn't some officer in Empire Strikes Back sport a mustache...? -
Can I just say I adore Smith Boy's "emo Anakin"? :-D *y* But yeah. Here's hoping more details on that Tank set will follow soon. We want Ki-Adi! Good point by the way, General Tarful, it's not said anywhere that the Tank is actually a Clone Wars set. Right? On a slightly related note... I've been wrecking my brain for a logical way for LEGO to include Padm

That's perfectly ok, I wasn't gonna use that head on Olben anyway. I hope to finish the fig and post a photo tomorrow. -

Since I'm still tinkering on my Wrennog 'Wrenn' Olben fig, do you prefer yellow or fleshie figs? Today I came up with the idea of having Olben walk with a cane... Maybe he had some accident while test driving an airspeeder or something. If it looks no good on the minifig, the cane will disappear again though, haha. -
The inclusion of Ki-Adi Mundi (or wherever the hyphens go...) would be great. Cosidering they're releasing new aliens with the other two big sets, it's not only great but also plausible. But I'm not sure the set would depict his death scene. Cause that happens in Revenge of the Sith, and Clone Wars takes place before that film.

Mr Spielbrick replied to General Zen's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
WRENNOG OLBEN is a 54 year old, grumpy, human rebel from Coruscant. He had a prosperous airspeeder (the luxurious kind) production company. But when the Emperor seized control of the galaxy, hardly anyone bought luxury goods or spent extra money for a cooler airspeeder anymore. When Olben saw his client -
Ah yeah, good point, Sam89. My enthusiasm ran away with me, it seems. :-$ I agree with Tohst, Obi looked AWESOME in his half jedi robe / half clone armour. Judging by the trailer, that's exactly the look he'll have in the new Clone Wars series. Yay! Adding to my wishlist, looking further ahead than the already announced sets: 1. Padm

Ashoka is of the same species as Shaak Ti? Alriiight, this new edition of the Gunship is becoming more interesting per week! I hope to see some pictures of a 'clonewarized' Obi-Wan soon. He's one of my favourite characters, but I only have him as Padawan and old man. Ep III came out in my dark ages and for some reason I never managed to get an Ep II Obi. Now's my chance to make up for it. LEGO knows I will... They've totally got my in their power again after 5 years. But that's what you get when all of a sudden a new hope rises. LEGO might well be back on track for a new golden age.

Cool idea, Zen. To prevent you from ending up with jedi only, I'll make myself a more pedestrian rebel. Don't have time at the moment to figure out looks, personality or history, but I'll be sure to post again. -
Review: 7620 Indiana Jones - Motorcycle Chase
Mr Spielbrick replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
Sorry Exobuilder, but mine also arrived yesterday. I ordered the Classic Adventures Collection from S@H eight days ago. The Motorcycle Chase is, well... brilliant. For 13 euros, you get a classic Indy scene. Call me crazy, but to me the Sean Connery face alone is worth at least half of that price. The hat he's wearing is movie-correct, but I prefer him without it. That way you can see a lot more of his face, which is amazing. Best minifig of 2008 already, if you ask me. My only gripe is LEGO 'going cheap' and giving the notzi in this set the uniform of the Truck Chase notzi's. For them it was movie-correct, but this guy needs to have a grey/green uniform. Oh well. With those soviets from the Indy IV sets, I'll change it to my liking. I've said it before, but I'll say it again: LEGO should give the designers of the Indy sets a pay rise. Bloody brilliant stuff! -
Review: 7622 Indiana Jones - Race For the Stolen Treasure
Mr Spielbrick replied to Doctor Sinister's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yesterday I got the Classic Adventures Collection via S@H. After having built the truck, I watched the scene from Raiders. The attention to detail of the set is stunning. The uniforms of the notzi's are quite movie-correct. I love the possibility to have Indy grab onto different parts of the truck to 'slide underneath it'. Both vehicles look excellent. As I said before, this was also a great opportunity for me to get Viktor Krum and J. Jonah Jameson faces. I hope the brilliant designers of the Indy sets got a pay rise, they deserve a bonus! -
Indiana Jones flags for your creations!
Mr Spielbrick replied to Col. Whipstick's topic in LEGO Licensed
Seeing the nazi flag available for playing purposes, reinforced my belief that LEGO made the right choice. It would be extremely weird if they did include political symbols in their sets. 8- -
Indiana Jones Part 4 - Set Pictures are available
Mr Spielbrick replied to Navy Trooper Fenson's topic in LEGO Licensed
Uhm... Where does that 'information' come from? People in the know have kept debunking Atlantis rumours for almost 20 years. I've seen no hints towards such explorations on the official site either. Ergo, I think it's unlikely Indy will go to Atlantis in The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. About the uniforms: I think the new (Russian?) ones look fairly nazi-ish. I'll be using them if I ever need nazi's. From the official pics so far, I'd say Mutt has brown hair. Yet his LEGO version is black-haired. Hm... -
They're putting Ep 2 clones, Asajj Ventress (spelling?!), Obi-Wan AND Plo Koon in ONE box?! Dang, I just spent
-
Judging by the look of the ice cream truck, it's totally preliminary. I'm betting they'll make one or two new pieces for the Tumbler. They'll at least "smoothen it out" a little (right?). As for the comic Batman on the box... I'm guessing that means we'll get a Batman Begins styled minifig Bats. All black with a golden belt.

Official Speed Racer Licensed Product in 2008
Mr Spielbrick replied to ColdBricks's topic in LEGO Licensed
Maybe the girl's hair is a new mold. Cate Blanchett's character in the new Indiana Jones 4 temple set seems to have it too. -
Don't most Batman LEGO fans have a Commissioner Gordon obsession by now? I know I have! If they do make him, it'll probably be the older version. Gary Oldman is relatively young in Batman Begins, most fans know Gordon as the white-haired man from the animated series or comics. *Dreams about how good a self-assembled 10th Doctor minifig could look in Gordon's trenchcoat.*

Review: 7620 Indiana Jones - Motorcycle Chase
Mr Spielbrick replied to PSPguy's topic in LEGO Licensed
Indeed. At the first use of the flag, Henry Sr. was quite happy. His son engaging in jousting would've naturally made an expert on knights "giddy as a schoolboy". Sending the other nazi flying by spoking his wheel and thereby blowing up the motorbike, however, was less to the liking of professor Jones. So yeah. Flag = in my opinion great addition to the set, like Jock's snake in Temple Escape and the R2 / 3PO hieroglyf in the Lost Tomb. Cool review, man. Video is definitely a nice new way of reviewing LEGO sets. Thumbs up, PSPguy! -
Review: 7623 Indiana Jones - Temple Escape
Mr Spielbrick replied to Big Pete's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm sure there'll be more sets of the other films down the line. The scene with Indy and Elsa in the catacombs would make for a great set. Most of the LEGO parts needed already exist: rats, castle walls, skeletons. Plus, it'd be a nice chance for an alternative Indy figure, instead of the usual brown and beige combination. (Yes I'll keep whining about this until alternative Indy figs actually show up, lol! :-P ) About 7623, though. Awesome set! I'm definitely gonna buy it. Apart from the Hovito's, it's all there. Amazing. I've been looking forward to this ever since that Johnny Thunder movie from LEGO Studio's. Indy! Belloq! Jock! Golden idol! Huge boulder! Snake on a plane! Whooo! -
As Chandler Bing would say - "Could the sets BE any more expensive?!" Bloody 'ell, I think I'll pass on the 2008 SW LEGO...

Too bad you don't have a camera, Indy565. I'm so psyched for this line. Can't wait to get my hands on all four of 'em. The flesh heads will come in handy for my custom brickflick characters. And the Indy-specific stuff like the Ark and the idol... gotta love it. *y* *wub* -
Reading that original post got me thinking... If my English isn't failing me (and without having heard the woman SAY it, which would've helped), I wonder... Seems like she could've meant either of these two options: "It's a shame they won't make new HP LEGO anymore at all" or "It's a shame there weren't any more sets out for this movie". Certainly "the last series was not popular enough" refers to the Goblet of Fire products. Despite the apparant impopularity however, TLC released a set for Order of the Phoenix. Now, if GoF wasn't profitable at all, why even bother to make an OotP set? Maybe it was not popular enough to keep making multiple sets, but apparently TLC felt confident about bringing out one set. They wouldn't have if they thought interest in HP LEGO was at a total zero. My guess is, if TLC thought it'd be profitable to make an OotP set, there might just be Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows ones in the future. But then again, maybe that's wishful thinking on my part. Reading some quote allows for several interpretations, hearing someone say it would've narrowed it down a lot.

trooperdavinfelth: I think those blasters are Juno's, to defend herself against people who like minifig-boobs. :-D

Gheh. Zooming in on one of the three recently released official pics, LeBoeuf's motorjacket indeed reads Mutt. Ah well, like jedikermit pointed out, Indiana/Indy isn't too regular either. Here's hoping they're gonna do Cate Blanchett justice in minifig form. It seems a bit too soon to recycle the Juno Eclypse head, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did just that, actually. -
Review: 7622 Indiana Jones - Race For the Stolen Treasure
Mr Spielbrick replied to Doctor Sinister's topic in LEGO Licensed
Joining the others in praise for the excellent photo's you've taken, Doctor Sinister. Thank you very much! YAY: - no stickers - nice notzi hats - cool vehicles - gold chest & coins - Krum, Jameson and Wayne faces (I wanted those but couldn't get them in their original sets) NON YAY: - Minor gripe: Indy looks exactly the same in all 4 sets. Couldn't TLC "pull a Batman/Spongebob" and have him wear a slightly different outfit in some sets? Like: one without jacket, or one with a black tie like in Crusade (the Motorcycle Chase set would've been perfect for that). Of course the Non Yay is faaaaar inferior to the Yay! I'm getting all four Indy sets the day I see them in the store. The creative notzi faces give me good hope Jock and Satipo will not both share the same face. I was afraid all the peripheral characters (all notzi's, Jock, Satipo) would have the Bruce Wayne head. Apparently not. Yay!
