  1. Its most likely due to the giant green rage machine we call the Hulk
  2. ED-209 posted some great decals for Nick Fury in the minifigure customisation section heres the link.Nick Fury. you'll need some decal paper however which you cann get of amazon. i'm not sure if you need different printer ink . Hope this helps
  3. I saw the film on thursday and loved it as well. I agree to some extent about the sets. The cosmic cube escape should of not included Ironman. I think it woulkd have benifited more if Nick fury was in this set in his chopper and made the set around the £30 price range. I understand that the reason they added Iron-man was so that lego could produce two of starks suits. When I was watching the movie as soon as I saw the giant snake I knew it would be awesome in lego form. I would also love to see an battle pack with two aliens a couple of S.H.I.E.L.D agents and a flyer thing. In the helicarrier breakout it would have been cool if they added Maria Hill and agent Coulson as well as they were important in those scenes as well.
  4. Less than a week to go before I get my hands on this chrome beauty. Can't wait to see whats in the sale. I hope that it's not all star wars though i hope if I have some star wars in each order that it still counts. I'm going to my local store so hopefully it will be a bit more relaxed than the shop@home. I just saw the avengers film and now I have to choose between star wars and marvel
  5. I just got back from seeing the film and loved it. There's lots of potential sets that could still come from the film. I can think of two of hand but I won't say invade of spoilers. Also a word of warning like the other films there's a scene in the credits. In reference to a nick fury fig there's loads of chances to still get him. There's ironman 3 and Thor 2 out next year not to mention sequals to the avengers. He could even be a promotional figure for later on in the year or be released in a set later on this year like the Davy jones was in black pearl. One thing I hope for is that he's not a comic con exculsive.
  6. Noooooooooo! This is bad news for everyone today whether they voted or not. Oh well at least you shared this excellent model with us even if it's not made into a set it still made my day a few weeks back. Thanks for sharing this awesome pub!!!
  7. Awesome MOC dude. I've been waiting to see this comic cover pop up in Lego form. I love the tiny trees in the background. Well done keep up the good work!
  8. I just finished watching all the avenger lead in films and I have a couple of ideas. First of all I would love to see Tony Starks Miami home. It would have his workshop with a couple of cars, a couple of benches and robot arms, a wall of Ironmen suits from the mark I to the mark V and would also have the turntable were the suit is attached to him. The upper levels would include a balcony area and spiral staircase with a water feature, a bar area and a boxing ring. I'm thinking the figures would be Tony Stark, Rhodey, Pepper Pots, the five suits and War machine. Also a great set would be the grand prix race scene it would include two formula one cars with a explode function. It would also include a fence and a Rolls Royce. The figures would be Pepper, Whiplash, Tony's driver ( I don't know the name I'm sure someone will let me know ) and Ironmans suitcase suit. Moving on from Ironman it would be cool to get Jane fosters camper van. It would inculde Jane, Thor and Eric selvic.
  9. The best advice I would give is to buy a couple more of Likud cosmic cube escape. Keep the trucks and sell the figs on eBay or bricklink to get your money back. My second tip is look to the modular buildings for inspiration they have some wonderful techniques that may be helpful like the fire brigade as a good example. I would also look at the architecture series as they have a couple of new York buildings. It would be cool if you could use a couple of these sets to make up the back ground of you mock which would add depth and distance. There's a great video on YouTube called Lego spiderman the peril of doc ock. Some of the buildings there are fantastic and are great ideas for mocs. Another idea is to add LEDs to your MOC to add colour and brighten certain areas with certain moods. Lastly think about what other things you would come across in new York like subway entrances, traffic lights, taxes and road works. Good luck with your MOC.
  10. It's a tough one but I think it has to be 7676 the republic gunship. I love that ship it's great. It's followed close by the AT-TE and arc-180 starfighter. I'm hoping that they start to remake some sets from the first wave soon.
  11. This looks really cool. I have just got into microscale stuff myself this past week and ordered 4 republic gunships from the advent calander. Anyway this looks really good I would love to see you extend this MOC to includ the bunker and shield generator. Well done keep building
  12. The throne room looks really good can't wait to see this MOC when its finished I assume you'll get upcoming jabbas palace set and use the parts and figs.
  13. I would love to see some general S.H.E.I.L.D agents and some frost giants. Maybe Lego could make some superheroes battle packs for them. I also want to see Oden and some asguard soldiers. And lastly I wanna see some hydra soldiers, nick fury and agent colsen.
  14. I agree a little bit with your statement on clone wars figs. I'm not a fan with the eyes and with the 3D release of attack of clones and revenge of the sith over the next 2 years I believe Lego will release these figs with normal printing. On the flip side to that I grew up on the prequels I was 6 or 7 when I saw episode 1 and it brought me into star wars. I do understand that the original trilogy is better but I love the prequels. I think a lot of star wars fans give the prequels a hard time because they grew up with the originals. It's like anything people grow up with like as an example as a kid I loved Pokemon and when I went round to see my little cousin the other day he was watching the new tv show. I look at it and thought this doesn't even compare to the old stuff. This got me thinking that really the only reason people hate the prequels Is because of the child hood memories. If we went back in time to 1977 and showed a kid who just watched a new hope episode 1 he would love it. I only reason he doesn't love it today is because he has matured since episode 6 and is now an adult. I'm happy that the first star wars film was episode 1 I think as a result of that I like all star wars films and I even watch the clone wars ( although I don't like the figs). Although I understand the points about jar jar and everything else I can't help but love all six films and if I was give the choice I would watch episode 3 everytime. Most likely because I always find myself glue to the screen screaming turn around the clones are going to betray you. That's followed by nooooooo and a feeling of sadness . In end all films are great and I love the community that these films and Lego have create around the world.
  15. Single fractions as we get more. When you at the single packs we get a speeder for both the clones and mandos a turret and three different types of troopers (Arf, commander and bombsquad). Where as now we get two commando droids an Arf and a arc with a cannon. When there's single packs it's easier to build an army as we get more troopers to a fraction and extras for both sides. I know LEGO said that certain packs like the assassin droid pack were left on the shelves. But the answer to that is simple make packs with minifigs that people want no one wants an army of assassin droids. People want clones, geonosians, super and normal battle droids, rebels and storm troopers. Maybe some people want mandos but Lego could have pimp them out a bit with range finders and new blasters.
  16. For me it depends. Sometimes I use them on sets but I like to plan out my points . If there's sonething special coming up then I will save them ( like at moment i'am ready or may the forth with at least £15 off hehe). I don't like 'wasting them' on tiny sets like battle packs. I like the feeling of them being spent responsibly and for them to make a difference. For example £5 off isn't much when compared with £20 off.
  17. Hi everyone the UK Lego store calander is up and confirms that TC-14 will be available on the forth and fifth of May. It also confirms that the amount of money that needs to be spent is £50. Lastly it mentions that you can get it in lego retail stores however if your planning to go to you local Lego store like I'am. I would ring them the day before just to be sure. You can view the calander on Lego.com or brickset
  18. Hello everyone and welcome to my double superheroes review . Both of these sets were released a couple of weeks back. In this review I hope to decide once and for all which of these sets I believe is better for your money. These two sets have many similarities so lets get to the stats. First of Wolverine's chopper showdown. Set number: 6866 Pieces:199 Ages:6-12 Price: £19.99 $19.99 and 26,99 in euros Now onto Loki's cosmic cube escape. Set number: 6867 Pieces:181 Ages:6-12 Price: £19.99 $19.99 and 26,99 in euros Now already we can see the similarities. Both contain 3 figs, are the same price and are the same age ranges. Before I go any futher I would just like to say the following... to me the age range on any set means nothing. However if you are looking for a younger builder then both these sets are pretty easy to build more on that latter though. The only difference is the pieces the chopper showdown gets 18 more pieces. This doesn't really make much difference though. So lets look in depth at Wolverine's chopper showdown. So heres the box and I have to say it looks great on the outside I love the cartoon wolverine minifig in the corner and the visual impact of the box. Straight away we know what were getting which is always helpful . Heres the side of the box which shows this great image of Wolverine and below is the image of the back I really like the comic strip look of the back it really suits the theme. We see a couple of images of Deadpool and Wolverine fighting and the play features. As with any set this size we get 1 instruction manual and also included is a comic book which includes 3 stories the first is a comic of Captain America fighting some aliens on a bridge. The second story is about the set and is a short story set in the jungle with Wolverine tracking Deadpool into his secret base. Lastly the final story is about the Avengers travelling the world and collecting parts of the LEGO Club sign. We get three bags in this set. There are some really cool parts in this set in mainly black and dark red. The helmet piece comes in a tiny bag inside the big bag. Next lets look at the minifigs. As i've alredy mentioned we get three Wolverine, Deadpool and Magneto. these figs are great I can't stress enough how awesome they look. Each comes with back printing and Magneto and Wolverine come with angry faces. http://upload.brickshelf.com/gallery/sam892/reviews/041.jpg The vehicles in this set are well I guess there ok we kind off get three. http://upload.brickshelf.com/gallery/sam892/reviews/047.jpg We get Deadpool's chopper, Wolverine's bike and Magneto's metal disc platform. Wolverine's bike is a bit dull it's a standard black bike base with a bley body and a clear headlight. http://upload.brickshelf.com/gallery/sam892/reviews/048.jpg I was quite disapointed with this as lego has produce the same bike twice before and both of those versions included printing on the side sthat really added detail to the bike. Deadpools chopper was again in my opinion a little bit of a disapointment. http://upload.brickshelf.com/gallery/sam892/reviews/049.jpg The front of the chopper is very blocky. I don't like the windscreen on it. I know that there isn't really anything else they could have used but in reminds me for somereason of late 90's lego. I think in modern times with all of the possible curved bricks that could have been used to make the front a bit more attractive its a little bit of a letdown. The chopper fits two figs one in the back and one in the cockpit. The chopper comes with 4 flickfire missles that can swivel up and down. Overall I do like this set and although i'm a bit critical of the chopper it is still pretty cool. Its very sturdy and a fun build. Before we give it a final rating lets take a look at what its up against. Loki's cosmic cube escape. Heres the box. Again its a very cool box with the same style (which I was expecting as there from the same wave ). Again with the back of the box It has the comic book style that makes this set look all the more awesome. 1 instruction book again with a comic. The comic contains the same Captain America story and the same LEGO Club story. The second story in the book relates to the set. I won't talk about this one however as it may contain a small spoiler for the avengers film. However its just as good as Wolverine's comic. We also get a sticker sheet. These are a cool bunch of stickers. If you don't want to paste them on this truck then they will look great on a S.H.I.E.L.D headquaters MOC. We get 2 bags with a smaller bag in the larger of the 2. Also Loki's helmet comes in a small bag inside the larger one Onto the figs next and again we get 3 Ironman, Hawkeye and Loki. Both Ironman and Hawkeye have angry faces and Loki dosen't which is a shame. Loki also comes with the same head of Lex Luthor with that said the face does suit Loki. Loki also doesn't have back printer where as Ironman and Hawkeye do. Next lets take a look at the truck. We only get one vehicle in this set but it is great. Take a look at this hansome beast. The truck comes with a cool litle play feature where if you stand a character on the bley plank and slam your finger on the red handle. Then the fig goes flying through the air. Thats right Ironman can fly . The truck comes with two side mounted flick fire missles. I'm not a fan of flick fires but on the chopper the missles look like part of the set here they look really out of place. The truck has two hinged doors which are always great in a set. Heres a couple of pics showing the truck without the missles. The set also comes with a 1x1 clear brick that's used as the cosmic cube. So now we get to the main event the big fight so to say.... In terms of minifigs its a hard call. all six figures are great the only way to decide this is sudden death. In sudden death I will split the figs into 3 groups. Each fig will fight his oposite in the corisponding set. So... Ironman vs Wolverine This is a draw I'm affraid as both of these figs will in my opion increase in price over the next few months and are both extremely cool. The claws on Wolverine are just fantastic. Ironman's helmet is also great. When I saw the toy fair pics I thought it looked big. Howvever the real helmet is pretty good its a tiny bit big but in all honesty it's no bigger than Batman's cowl. Plus the helmet comes with a hinged front that shows Tony Starks face. So with regret it s a draw ok onto round two... Loki vs Magneto Both of these villians are great for any collector. The helmets are great and the details are also great. Loki's staff makes up for his missing back printing and angry face. I really love the purple on Magneto and both faces. It's close too close so again its a draw. Right this is it Hawkeye vs Deadpool this is a no brainer for me Deadpool wins hands down. The awesome swords and alien conquest gun really make this fig stand out from the rest. In fairness to Hawkeye he is pretty cool but i don't like the angry face for him he looks strange. The hairpiece is good however and the detail on him is great but I'm sorry it has to be Deadpool. The second reason for this is I think that the price of Deadpool will increase to a higher amount than Hawkeye. So in the minifig round the winner is THE CHOPPER SHOWDOWN!!! So on to the next fight which is the vehicles. Now here its all about quality and not quantity. Just because the chopper showdown doesn't have stickers and comes with 3....ok 2 modes of transport doesn't mean it will win. Thats because its not i'm giving this round to the S.H.I.E.L.D truck. Simply because of how beautiful it is. The curves and mean muscle front really give this model the edge. It looks great and the guard rales at the front make this vehicle really stand out. If your building a Avengers MOC then I would really recomend getting a couple of these as there just fantasic. Just remove the flick fires and there ready to go. So its all tie up at 1-1 which is not good news for me as the price round is pointless as they cost the same. Plus theres not enough bricks to really make a difference. So now its down to me I personally like the truck more than the chopper just because of the beautiful curves when compared with the blocky cockpit. All six figures are great and deserve to be in any collection. So although Loki's comsic cube escape wins I would seriously recomend picking up both sets. I have to admit that I held off from all superheroes sets this year so far and I saw the chopper showdown and just had to buy it there and then (I have to add however that the shop didn't stock the cosmic cube escape). The next day i saw the cube escape and the same feeling hit me in the face. Both sets are brilliant examples of such a great year we have with us this year. So in conclusion if your a collector then get the chopper as the figs are rarer. If your looking for a good solid vehicle that looks great then get the cube escape. If you can afford it then get them both before there gone. At this point I would just like to thank anyone who has read this review battle. This is my first review and all feedback is welcome .
  19. Hi everyone heres my funny hope you enjoy P.S Wolverine doesn't like being corrected
  20. Looks like season five won't be the last.
  21. I do hope that's just a rumour. It would be a real shame to be just missing one character from a complete team. Still maybe there just saving him for a set for the next wave. It would be a wide move to but him in a set later on in order to get more sales. Suppose we will have to wait and see. On a side note I had decided to not to buy any superheroes sets sets this year and would wait and see of I had any money left after star wars. But over the previous weekend I finally caved and got the chopper showdown on Friday and Lokis cosmic cube escape on the Saturday. I love em and I might have a review coming soon.
  22. You're right there are tonnes of other marvel heroes and villains who are more iconic. However Nick Fury is one of the most important characters in the marvel universe. Over there years he's been a major character in stories around the Avengers, the X-men, spiderman, the fantastic four and countless others. The same could be said about tonnes of star wars characters how there not recognisable but are important enough to a scene that Lego has made them. I mean I dont think that the upcoming Iron fist figure in the spiderman set is one of the most iconic characters of that series. Lego could have given us another villain like the green goblin or the lizard but Iron fist must have some importance to that set or source material that it's based off.
  23. Hopefully the Kit Fisto fig will at least be the new olive green colour like the most recent mute gunray. I agree the old one was a bit awkward to pose and in general wasn't as good as I think Lego could have made him. In terms of exclusive jedi I think we will see Mace, Tinn, Kit and maybe Kolar and most probably Anakin. It would be cool if they threw in a couple of background characters for the set. Characters like Mas Ammenda or a couple of senators. I can only imagine a high price point because of a couple of new moulds. The only figs that would need new moulds that could possibly be in this set are Kit Fisto, Mas Ammenda, a new hair piece for palpatine and on a very optimistic note a new yoda. They would Change Tinn because we have already seen him in his new star fighter and Lego wouldn't make a new two completely different moulded figs in one wave. Maybe Kolar but I believe they would use Koth's hair piece. And mace needs nothing.
  24. Sign me up please. I have some great ideas already. Have really been looking forward to this.
  25. I never see polybags on sale in England they are always released as part of the sun giveaways. I know they end up cheaper but the cashiers look at you strangely when you wait in a massive line with 10 copies of the same paper one day and two copies the next.
