A few days before the movie comes on screens, BB-8 and friends have been blogged on The Brothers Brick : http://www.brothers-brick.com/2015/12/09/all-the-droids-youre-looking-for/

Cavegod UCS AT-AT Instructions | "Walker Assault"
DanSto replied to Cjd223's topic in LEGO Star Wars
OK, I understand your point of view. But, this means that somebody who wants a good building instruction and only the parts list file will have to pay for your file and the ones of Cavegod . Honestly, I do not consider that this is a good deal.- 264 replies

Cavegod UCS AT-AT Instructions | "Walker Assault"
DanSto replied to Cjd223's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I suppose that the building instruction displays the inventory of the parts at the end : so, the parts list file gives the same information in a directy usable form if we want to buy the parts via bricklink . For a MOC, I can hardly imagine that the building instruction is provided without such a parts file : I found particularly boring to have to write such a file by myself part by part when I know that you could get it into a few seconds from your MLCAD file using LDview . May I suggest that you ask Cavegod to allow you to generate this file ? Because, from my point of view, without this file, your building instruction looks clearly less interesting.- 264 replies

Cavegod UCS AT-AT Instructions | "Walker Assault"

Interesting because I do not want to use LDD and prefer a real building instruction. However, is there also a file listing the parts ?- 264 replies

75827 Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters Discussion
DanSto replied to kelceycoe's topic in LEGO Licensed
I agree with you and I prefer also to have the building like it is (not bigger and more expensive). However, I consider that the car does not fit in because it is oversized. But, we can consider that the designer has managed to get enough room for satisfying people who wants absolutely to put the car into the building. I like this set even if the build of the external walls looks repetitive. -

Come on , considering the size of the car and the size of the building, it was clear that the car is oversized and will need all room to go into it : it is only a commercial argument . A building which fits with the car should be something like this : GBHQ by Gerechtigkeitsliga, sur Flickr ( http://www.eurobrick...2 ). -
Very impressive . It is nearly life size or not ?

The mid-size Star Wars droïds will be presented into the Brickjournal #37 ( http://twomorrows.co...roducts_id=1224 ) where the building of BB8 will be detailled. (snapshot of the preview http://issuu.com/two...241656/31042542 which displays 20 pages of the forthcoming magazine).

I think it is one of the best MOC of Eve at this scale . Is there a particular reason for which most of your MOC is built stud down ?

In the past, they always provided a replacement pack : I would be disappointed if this would not be the case for Wall-e.
-
Interesting if this is really that they will do because this freely spinning head is really annoying. I hope also that a correction will be available.

Really . You are right, Pixar comes from Lucasfilm. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks. Yes, R2 is also the one I prefer but I love all of them. Hi gaut, It is always a pleasure to read your comments on my MOCs . I am also pleased to see that you like my recent creations and not only the one into the SW theme. Concerning a new version of the head for R2, why not, but it is not so easy to get it round and to include all details. I think I have ended the phases dedicated to Architectural cathedrals and mid size droids and I will have to look for something else. You are right, Brick on !

Thanks. It's a "Plate, Round 2 x 2 with Rounded Bottom and Headlight Pattern" ( http://alpha.brickli...?P=2654pb01#T=C ). Thanks. Or not . Johnny 5 is not a Disney character (to my knowledge). Thanks.

[MOC] Metropolitan Cathedral of Brasilia (Architecture)
DanSto replied to DanSto's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks. Well, to give you an idea of the way the things are built, let me show you the virtual model of the cathedral without the soft axles The 16 soft axles of the hyperbolic pilars are fixed on the two 24T white gears with 9 white Rubber Belts and are spread by the 4x4 round plate on top. Under the two lower pulleys, a trans blue 10x10x4 octogonal windscreen ( http://alpha.brickli...page?P=2598#T=C ) makes the top of the glass dome. The lower part of the dome is made using 16 trans light blue electric zigzag ( http://alpha.brickli...P=59233pb01#T=C ) and small blue or trans blue parts. Finally, in order to have thinner pilars near the ground, the soft axles are extended by white hose nozzle ( http://alpha.brickli...age?P=60849#T=C ) up into the circular water pool. Well, now you know all the secrets of this MOC .- 6 replies

[MOC] Metropolitan Cathedral of Brasilia (Architecture)
DanSto posted a topic in Special LEGO Themes
After two middle age gothic cathedrals (Notre Dame de Paris and Notre Dame de Strasbourg), I present you a more modern one : the world famous Metropolitan Cathedral of Brasilia designed by the brasilian architect Oscar Niemeyer.
