  1. I thought it was about time I showed some WIP pics, to see what people think, would love some feedback! Sorry the photo's are so small, they were taken on a phone, and they did not turn out very well.
  2. With nothing else to do inside the Antiquarian's, the party decides to just go out and face the Wolfgang. It is not like they have other options anyway. Outside, the Wolfgang circles around the party, weapons raised. Donny Dozenhands, who seems to be commanding this group, signals something, and the weapons are lowered. He steps forward, with weapons loosely in hand, he starts talking: "Greetings... Heroes. Lady Nyx, you look lovely today, there is something in your hair, though. Gibbin... Nice stunt, earlier, too bad it was for naught. Cronk, an Orcish Paladin, now there is something you don't see every day. And... You must be Galadhras, it is hard to tell, that oversized helmet is covering most of your face. I'm sure you know who I am, I have met with your kind before. But let's skip further pleasantries. I want that Keystone. Hand it over, and everyone walks away, no one gets hurt."
  3. Again: What was the point of Bob's Janitor ability, he could only use it on our night kill, would it not make more sense and have more use if he could use it on the lynch victim, as is usually the case?
  4. I'm not sure if that was sarcasm or not, but it is simply a fact: As scum, you got to do what you must. We were very much underpowered, role wise, compared to the town, perhaps that would have balanced out if the agents had managed to kill me, and merge... But the case is, it is clear def can rally a town, and with the first night being basically a blind one, there is basically nothing you CAN do, other than pick a target based on metagaming. I know why I was killed, my role-claim was ridiculous. But I was actually quite surprised I was not lynched the day after I was blocked. What I was also quite surprised by, is that Volcanicpanik tried to bring me down in his defense. He must have known by that point I was a mutineer... And since one of his goals was to merge with the rest of the mutineers, that action did not make much sense to me...
  5. Killing Kiel was actually my idea, and can you really blame me? To be honest, calling out metagaming is one of the most stupid things that seem to be going on here, in my opinion. Wether you like it or not, since people have been playing before with each other, it will happen anyway. Even unnoticable. TBW said he died because of metagaming. But mind you, if I was in Brickdoctor's position, I would have done the same exact thing. Metagaming is unavoidable, deal with it.
  6. I have a question, what was the point of Bob's Janitor ability? For those that don't know, he was given the ability to use it twice, but only on our (the mutineer's) Night Kill. That seems next to useless to me, maybe someone else can explain it to me?
  7. "Errm, that door is the only way out, I am afraid, and those wolfgang are still there." Pandora, can you please divide the loot?
  8. Hello all! I have a couple of things to say about this game, first off, I want to thank Badboy for hosting, and letting me play, much appreciated, I had fun! Here is my role PM: I will comment some more when I collect my thoughts.
  9. Congratulations, I hope this gets turned into a set, would be much better than minecraft, at least! Actually it is the second, the first two required a much smaller vote count (1000? or 5000?)
  10. Guts looked at the reward offered, it was not bad, all things considered. He had decided not to pressure the two men, he did not see the point. "Thank you, Mr Silverpick, Steward. I will take a Holy Bomb, if you have them. I advise you to employ new scouts, your scouting party did a terrible job. Goodbye."
  11. "How would I know how this invaluable item ended up here? Strivvi is a city-state, build on top of the ruins of an ancient civilization. The city is a freeport, much like Eubric, but less stable, it is in constant conflict. The place is a paradise for slavers, THAT is why the trip is so expensive. Tell you what, have your employer contact me. I can try to lay contact with an expert on the keystones and their vaults."
  12. "Certainly not! That is MY Magnifying glass, thank you very much. And your idea is ludicrous, to say the least. Do you have any idea of the costs of a journey to Strivvi? Not to mention finding a ship that goes there! And don't get me started on the impossibility of it all. You have no idea where this vault is, do you? "
  13. "My friends, you are terribly mistaken, the keystones, and their vaults are ancient. No one has been able to recreate the technology used in them. There is no way there is a vault in Eubric. Closest place you can possibly find one is Strivvi, a six week boat trip from here!" There is some undivided loot.
  14. The party goes back upstairs, and hand the magnifying glass over to the dwarf. He goes right to work, while muttering phrases along the lines of "Truly remarkable, Magnificent, Tally ho!" etc. Finally, the antiquarian turns to the heroes: "It seems I was right. This is no amulet. At first glance, it appears to be some sort of tribal item, perhaps for ceremonial purposes? But that is not what it is, the inscripted lines are too precise, the symbols too... perfect. When I took a closer look, I was certain. This item is magically constructed. There is only one place I know of, that is capable of making something like this... This, this is a Strivvian Keystone. Forged from a single emerald, it's magic nullified. This item was made ages ago, for one purpose: sealing a single place. This stone is connected to one vault, and it is also the only way to open or close that vault. It is unknown how many there are, and for some the corresponding vault is not even found. But I think it goes without saying, that this item is unique."

Atramor shields himself with arm, and lifts the tip of the chest lid open with his dagger, and... Nothing happens. Atramor takes a closer look, and he finds the Magnifying Glass! *play Zelda music, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VRr9NG7RE0* Magnifying Glass
  16. Hmm, Ok, here is my view of the thing. When I designed it in it's first stage, I tried to make it balanced. Sandy said it was not, so I nerfed it, by adding the ether cost. From my point of view? The 1/6 chance is small enough for me to not have it warrant an ether cost, but this is what Sandy requested. I tried to give the weapon a fun effect, and I feel both the chance, and the fact that the creature is not actually that powerful, make it so that it was balanced enough. But for the third time, Sandy said it was not. So yeah, if it were up to me, I would have it as it was originally, but unless I hear otherwise, that is what you are stuck with.
  17. I decided that it will cost 3 ether if the spider is summoned. This should keep it nice and balanced.
  18. I'll wait until other people post, don't want people to be knocked out now, do we.
  19. Atramor opens the top chest, but for some reason, it is wired to two Fire bombs! A small detonation causes the party to lose 10 health each. If they had had a Magnifying Glass, they could have checked for traps... Party: Cronk (played by Corneliusmurdock) Level 17.5 Paladin Power: 29 SP: 9 Health: 23/37 Ether: 13/18 Gold: 17 Inventory: Zoot's Bane (WP:12, Light), Healing Staff (WP:5 Healing effect), Sword of Bashing (WP:5), Bloody Pointy Stick (WP:1), Ennoc's Blessing (Shield, SP:7), Elaborate Helmet (SP:2), Heavy Crossbow(WP:8, Knockback), Potion x2, Holy Bomb, Phoenix Essence, Bedroll, Paralyzing Venom Nyx (played by Pandora) Party Leader Level 16.5 Battle Mage Power: 25 SP: - Health: 16/26 Ether: 12/21 Gold: 40 Inventory: Book of a Thousand Creatures(WP:12, each roll has a 1/6 chance to summon a creature to aid the hero, only one creature can be out, summoning it costs 3 ether.), Dawnstar II (WP:9), Longsword (WP:6), Sandman's Parasol (grants immunity to sleep), Helmet(+1 health), Ruby(Fire), Amethyst(Darkness), Topaz(Lightning), Sapphire(Wind), Emerald(Wood), Potion x2, Remedy, Tonic x2, Holy Bomb, Bedroll, Bone x5 Atramor Gibbin (played by CallMePieOrDie) Level 16 Rogue Power: 24 SP: 2 Health: 3/23 Ether: - Gold: 266 Inventory: Leachfeather (WP:7 Fire, Wind, restores 2 health on hit), Shiv(WP: 4, can be used as both a melee and a throwing weapon.)Cloak of the Elven Spy(Allows wearer to see an NPC's stats from afar), Sand Worm Hide(SP:2), Bone, Nutritious Banana, Venom Rufindel Galadhras (played by Rufus) Level 12.5 Cleric Power: 24 SP: 2 Health: 10/20 Ether: 11/16 Gold: 37 Inventory: Malfunctioning Staff(WP:12 on successful roll, has 50% chance to do half of WP damage to self instead(ignoring row and SP), Warlord's Helmet( SP:2 grants 'Natural Respite', Fauxthril Staff(WP:7),Potion x2, Remedy x1, Bone x2, Pickaxe, Tonic x2, Bedroll, Scroll of Sealing, Venom After the smoke clears up, the party sees that the chest is empty, except for 2 bones and 10 gold coins. Updated the Book of a Thousand Creatures item.
  20. Adding an ether cost is something I can definitely do, how about 5 ether to summon it?
  21. There are actually two chests, the party has not checked.
  22. As I thought of it, there can only be one spider out, at any given time, and no, the stats will not change. The only reason I said that was I don't mind changing it to example a scorpion. I don't think it is balance breaking. Because there is 1/6 chance to even summon it, and while it is out, another can not be summoned.
  23. Updated Party, please update your signatures: Cronk (played by Corneliusmurdock) Level 17.5 Paladin Power: 29 SP: 9 Health: 33/37 Ether: 13/18 Gold: 17 Inventory: Zoot's Bane (WP:12, Light), Healing Staff (WP:5 Healing effect), Sword of Bashing (WP:5), Bloody Pointy Stick (WP:1), Ennoc's Blessing (Shield, SP:7), Elaborate Helmet (SP:2), Heavy Crossbow(WP:8, Knockback), Potion x2, Holy Bomb, Phoenix Essence, Bedroll, Paralyzing Venom Nyx (played by Pandora) Party Leader Level 16.5 Battle Mage Power: 25 SP: - Health: 26/26 Ether: 12/21 Gold: 40 Inventory: Book of a Thousand Creatures(WP:12, each roll has a 1/6 chance to summon a creature to aid the hero.), Dawnstar II (WP:9), Longsword (WP:6), Sandman's Parasol (grants immunity to sleep), Helmet(+1 health), Ruby(Fire), Amethyst(Darkness), Topaz(Lightning), Sapphire(Wind), Emerald(Wood), Potion x2, Remedy, Tonic x2, Holy Bomb, Bedroll, Bone x5 Atramor Gibbin (played by CallMePieOrDie) Level 16 Rogue Power: 24 SP: 2 Health: 13/23 Ether: - Gold: 266 Inventory: Leachfeather (WP:7 Fire, Wind, restores 2 health on hit), Shiv(WP: 4, can be used as both a melee and a throwing weapon.)Cloak of the Elven Spy(Allows wearer to see an NPC's stats from afar), Sand Worm Hide(SP:2), Bone, Nutritious Banana, Venom Rufindel Galadhras (played by Rufus) Level 12.5 Cleric Power: 24 SP: 2 Health: 20/20 Ether: 11/16 Gold: 37 Inventory: Malfunctioning Staff(WP:12 on successful roll, has 50% chance to do half of WP damage to self instead(ignoring row and SP), Warlord's Helmet( SP:2 grants 'Natural Respite', Fauxthril Staff(WP:7),Potion x2, Remedy x1, Bone x2, Pickaxe, Tonic x2, Bedroll, Scroll of Sealing, Venom The party searches through the chest, but except for some gore, it is empty. What does the party want to do next?
  24. As I thought of it, it works like this: After every roll, another dice is rolled to see if the creature is summoned. I said it is a spider, but if Pandora wants to change into something else for RP purposes, I don't really mind. The summon lasts for the rest of the battle, and upgrading the book does not upgrade the summon. Ether does not come into play. Hope this helps.
  25. I'm using random.org, yeah. It's a conspiracy. Look at that last round, if it had fully played, there would have been three shields in a row...
