  1. "See anything? Barely! Ha! But in all seriousness, no, I did not see anything suspicious. Not that I don't know what is going on... The guards are disappearing in the district, I heard! It does not matter, us civilians just have to hang low for a bit, while the gangs fight over who gets to be the boss, and then everything goes back to normal. I bet the watch did not tell you that it charges 'protection fees' to the people here? Bah! They are no better than any gang... But my throat is running dry, makes it hard to keep talking..."
  2. You know, when heroes start talking in the middle of battle, and start having entire discussions, I always get a mental picture of the heroes running in circles, talking with the enemies chasing them.

From what he can see, it looks like an empty warehouse Rufindel forces the man to drink one of his remedies, who gets up, and sits down to the wall! "What? Who are you? And why does it feel like someone kicked me in the stomach?"
  5. The only viable adaptation would be a video game, in my opinion. Movie-games and Game-movies are 95% of the time bad. It should not be done. The biggest reason for this is that movie characters in a game are boring, interaction will be one-sided, the character is often designed around a 2 hour movie. The opposite is also very true, if you would turn Heroica RPG into a movie, you would have characters with so many aspects, that they would either lead to looking uninteresting, or unsympathetic, both of which are bad for a movie.

  10. Cronk picks up the shiny thing out of the puddle, his hands are now sticky with someone else's blood, it's pretty gross. The shiny seems to be an amulet of sorts, the size of a large, thick coin, covered with encravings, markings and symbols on all sides. Strange Amulet The man does not seem to be responding to the shouting, perhaps a different approach should be taken to remedy the situation?

  13. True, but I was thinking more along the lines of things like the special weapons, or the scrolls... The items you mentioned, can be used by anyone, including the magic classes
  14. So... No special things for physical classes, and mead has increased in price? Colour me a bit sceptical.
  15. The bottles are all as good as empty, and the only clue Atramor got for what was inside, is the strong smell of alcohol. Cronk examines the puddle of blood, and notices something shiny in it. Atramor kicks the man again, and this time he mutters something that can, with a little interpretation, be deciphered as: "Just 5 more minutes, mommy."
  16. Cronk picks up the helmet, it looks like a standard helmet, as used by the town watch. It is possible it found it's way to the ground after a struggle. He then tries to open the basement door, but it locked from the other side, there is no way the party could get through. Loot: Helmet - +1 health. Suitable for anyone. Atramor kicks the man on the floor, whose only response is a groan. He then tries to use his magical cloak to determine the man's combat prowess. The result he gets is a feeling that the man is no real threat to the party, and also that the man is *Intoxicated*. Good job.
  17. The loot is divided, Cronk heals both himself and Atramor to full health at the cost of 2 ether, and Rufindel and Nyx take tonics, to restore 5 ether each. When the metasimians attacked, it was dark, but now, nearing the spot, the party can see the glow of dawn. The heroes can smell the saltiness of the sea(along with the mess of the city). The block described by Captain Patricia, turns out to be an unassuming one, consisting mostly of Warehouses and small living houses. The street makes a deserted impression on the heroes. For a while, the heroes wander the block, until they find the following scene: What does the party want to do?

  22. Nyx realizes they are in the middle of an alley, on the edge of the Harbour District in Eubric. In the distance the party can hear the occasional scream, as is usual in cities like this. Resting is not really an option.

Results of Round 10 of the Metasimian-Gang Battle Cronk vs. Metasimian (Sword) - Shield Guardian Angel Atramor vs. Metasimian (Sword) - Damage Nyx vs. Metasimian (Sword) - Greater Spell Ryfindel heals Nyx - No Healing. Cronk stops underestimating his opponent, and instead of attacking, he figures he is better safe than sorry, and calls forth his Guardian Angel, to protect the party from all harm in the next round. Atramor tries to throw his Shiv on the swordsman from behind, but he is noticed, and is slashed for 6 damage. Nyx is not amused by this display, and sends a vicious bolt of darkness towards the metasimian, which hits full on, dealing enough damage to knock the swordsman unconscious. All three gang-members now lay on the floor, not moving, but still breathing. THE BATTLE IS VICTORIOUS! Metasimian Ale - Has a 50% chance to either Poison, or Encourage. Heavy Crossbow - WP:8 On successful hit, knocks the target to the back row, halving both incoming and outgoing damage for the next turn. Suitable for Rangers. 30 gold
